While…read morethe cause of my leak seems to be resolved (at least for now) it did bother me that I took the time to ask several times with the dispatcher "Taneea"(sp) and she said there was no fee to diagnose and I kept asking are you sure because in order to see where the leak is coming from my bathroom upstairs from the shower and where it settling we need to look at the pipes underneath where the drywall is and that involves cutting the ceiling drywall. And I asked her again several times if there's any charge for leak tracing or anything she was leaving out just to look and see before repairing and she said no, there's no diagnostic charge. They get here and tell me it's gonna be $125 just to cut the drywall and I just don't understand how there can be such a disparity between what I verified by phone and what I was being told now. And even if I give them the benefit of the doubt that the dispatcher was mistaken (though that's something very strange for a dispatcher who works for and represents a company to say, if not true) the fact that she did tell me that clearly, you would think to keep a customer they would stand by their own word, so not a great first impression. I still paid them $455 to change the cartridge in my shower, but they would not take five or ten minutes to cut up two 6"x6" holes in the drywall and look inside to see if there's any other extensive damage or leaking. I may just leave it for now and keep an eye for any signs of staining or moisture rather than deal with drywall repair. I still will inspect around the electrical where the ceiling fan canopy is and remove it from the ceiling to see if there's any water damage to the fan and light fixture or if it can be salvaged and still works once all is dry and I can restore power to the room. But they refused to look for any signs below to ensure there were no other signs of a leak unless I paid more. Another thing is with a large hole behind the shower faucet escutcheon where the leak occurred what's to keep another cartridge from failing and leaking right down into the room below and getting into the electrical and drywall and ruining another ceiling fan? I wish they'd have taken the time to tell me how to seal off that wall behind the faucet handle or given me suggestions but they just kind of did their job and left. They didn't offer me any advice or tips to prevent this again or set my mind at ease, and taking the time to do that would have made me feel more "taken care of" and built a rapport as a new customer. They just wanted to do the job I asked and go. So while I have no other complaints so far, they didn't go the extra mile or make me feel reassured at all for such a serious issue. It was just a "job" to cross of their list and not spend a second longer than necessary to show, discuss or reassure.

We ultimately paid way too much for a basic 50 gallon hot water heater swap (bundled price of almost $3000). I was out of town and my wife was busy with work when this happened. We had used Bumble Bee Plumbing in the past and trusted them. That trust has been broken and will never return. My wife left a Google review. There was a response posted as "response from the owner" which left a phone number of 602-813-0298 to call so we could speak with their "manager" to address our concerns. I tried to call that number twice...it's been disconnected! Do your research, get multiple bids and verify that the company you are calling is truly LOCALLY OWNED and has not been rolled up under some private equity structure. We have all seen countless stories about how private equity could care less about the customer and how they leave a trail of destruction and debt in the end. It's largely about profits, margins and EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization). This is the valuation metric that's referenced (with a multiple applied) when they sell. In most cases, that's ultimately ALL PRIVATE EQUITY FIRMS CARE ABOUT! It's a sad yet not surprising story on the fleecing of America! All I can say about Bumble Bee Plumbing is my experience was very different this time and it appears that since my last time using them, private equity has gotten involved. I'll let you draw your own conclusions! Would love to see a customer advocacy/awareness story on one of the local news affiliates about how private equity has consolidated so many previously locally owned trade businesses (plumbing, HVAC, electrical). This might be a good starting point for that type of story.

I would like to thank Gabriel, owner of One Shot Installation. I needed an electrical outlet installed for a dryer in a home that was built in the 1950's. I thought this was going to be difficult, timely, and costly. Since I don't know anything about electrical work and I didn't want to be "bamboozled" I Googled prices (ranges from low to high pricing for a job like this) and the time it would take to get this job done. When I called Gabriel, he offered to come over and give me a free estimate. He came over, thoroughly explained what was needed (material wise) and what had to be done to get the dryer electrical outlet installed. He was flexible with times, willing to do the work needed whenever it was convenient for me. I had scheduled him to come on a Saturday and called him on a Thursday before to reschedule - done, with NO HASSLE! He even went online to look for a cheaper circuit breaker that was compatible to the circuit breaker box to save me money - Who does that? This showed me the kind of business Gabriel runs - you could say he "caters" to your needs. With Gabriel's business you get a low price and a professional job done. We have a saying in my culture - "Queremos lo bueno, bonito y barato!" Which means - "We want the good, pretty and cheap!" That is what you get with One Shot Installation - a professional job, that looks pretty good, and (most importantly in this day) a good price! I had such a great experience with One Shot Installation, that a week later I recommended Gabriel to my Aunt! I had the opportunity to speak with Gabe today and I can honestly say he is one in a million. He is very professional, trustworthy, knowledgeable, honest, great to work with, his pricing is amazing and he is all around someone who knows how to do business. I am a mother of 4 boys and my husband is away a lot due to his work schedule so today when my washer wouldn't drain I decided to look it up on You Tube to see if I could figure out what it was. We are not a family who has a lot to spend so I wanted to inform myself before I started calling around so I would have an idea of what it could be. When I called Gabe I told him what I thought it was and he was so nice on the phone, he listened and confirmed that yes it most likely was what I thought it could be. I had called around and everyone I spoke with just told me they would need to look at it to make sure and they would not be available today and most likely wouldn't be able to get the part until Monday because it was already late in the day. This was not the case with Gabe. He advised me where I could go get the part with his discounted price. This was a HUGE blessing for us. I have never met anyone who would do this for someone they don't know. Please do not hesitate to call him for your repairs. I will be keeping him as a contact if I ever need his assistance again. I have an LG Front load Washer. It was giving me an OE (output) error message. So as a do it yourselfer I searched online to find the issue and resolve. I found it may be the pump and another website found were to get the pump. I took apart my washer and replaced the part. When seeing if my good work payed off I found the"OE" error again. I then cleaned all the hoses I could manage to find. They were not the issue as I still had the same error. Stumped I decided to get a repair man for the issue. When I called several places they could only tell me what it would cost to get a repair man to my home. The would not even drop an estimate even if I asked for a specific part to be replaced. They stuck to the $79.00 to get the service man to my home. I then decided to look online (Yelp) to see a 4 star service. I found One Shot Installation. As I called him he tried to diagnose over the phone right then and there. After I tried his suggestion, he even texted me for other Ideas. I still could not get it running and asked him to come out. He was available the next day. He only charged 40 to come to the house. This was to be refunded if he fixed the issue. I asked him to go ahead with the repair. Amazing company!!! called them about my washer that was leaking water and flooded my laundry room. Gabe came out promptly & went right to the washer & got started... And they fixed it PERFECTLY!! He was very educated and knew exactly what to do! The entire time they were working on the washer they were very very quiet (my husband works nights, so he sleeps during the day)THEY WERE EXTREMELY CONSIDERATE! I truly couldn't ask for a better company when disaster strikes! I've used other companies in the past and it was always such a headache... They just didn't seem to know what needed to be done & didn't seem very educated on what they were fixing. And even after they "fixed it" I would continue to have problems! Okay, so I haven't actually hired Gabe to do any work... yet. But he is on my contact list forever, and here's why. When my dryer broke, rather than collect his service fee to tell me it was something I could have fixed myself, he talked me through a couple of common problems - and the issue turned out not to be a broken dryer but a blocked lint vent in the house, which I easily remedied for a fully functional dryer. I called him again today to ask if he'd look at my front-loading washer, as the drum has stopped turning... and again he asked pertinent questions and will research costs of possible solutions, most of which sound to involve more cost than replacing the machine. Twice he has valued honesty and aiding the customer over collecting a service fee. This is the type of business I value highly and will return to again and again. I was moving to a new location and needed to find a full-sized washer and dryer to buy and install at my new apartment. I wasn't sure if I should go to Craigslist or a garage sale to find one, since I didn't want to pay full price. I didn't really know what to do! My new landlady recommended Gabe, because he helped her when she was in a bind. She gave me his phone number - I called, and he not only said he could find me a good washer and dryer, but he would find me a good MATCHING washer and dryer! And, that he could also install it - all for a very reasonable price. He did find me a very good matching set that really didn't need much service by him at all. Had some circuit/electrical panel problems. Morning after Christmas I figured could be hard to get help. After reading prior reviews I decided to start with "One Shot". I not only got an actual answer, but after describing the situation, Gabe said he should arrive within the hour and it seemed as though he did. This kind of response was more than I had expected, under the circumstances. Once here, he trouble shot the situation, kept me in the process and explained things very well. One Shot Installation was fabulous. I woke up Labor Day morning to find that my water heater had decided that Labor Day seemed like a fine time to konk out on me. I called around frantically trying to find someone who would be reasonable in price (I knew that it was an Emergency call AND a holiday call so I knew I was going to be looking at some sky high prices). One Shot Installation came out in less than an hour after I called them, they DID NOT charge additional for it being an emergency or a holiday, AND they got the job done in a manner that was 100% proffesional. I won't hesitate to use them again in the future. Gabe was so nice and took the time to not only explain everything to me, but even made a few money saving suggestions. Gabe is a lifesaver! Washing machine stopped mid-load today and wouldn't spin or drain. Must have reached out to a couple dozen businesses in the Glendale area, going as far as Tempe only to be told they either weren't open on weekends or were completely booked. I am so glad I found One Shot on here. Called and got a voice on the phone immediately, no automated systems or call centers. Gabe was here within 30 minutes and went above and beyond to make sure I had my washing machine working. Even stayed to do a test load to make sure there weren't any more issues. Exceptional service! We recently moved into a house which came with a washer and dryer that had never been serviced. The dryer duct was so clogged up with lint and dryer sheets that it couldn't function properly. Gabe serviced and cleaned out the dryer and the duct and now the dryer works great. The service was so great that when we had an electrical issue at the new house the following day, I called Gabe. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to help as it was out of his field of expertise, but he suggested someone who could help and checked in later today to see if we had gotten the issue resolved. Long story short, Gabe cares deeply about his customers and will do all he can to make sure their needs are met. You guys! If you need any work done - you have got to call Gabe at One Shot! I needed someone to come look at my washing machine because it was squeaking and it was so easy to get a hold of someone and get something scheduled the next morning. The communication was great and the customer service was flawless! It was $95 to diagnose the washing machine which was, unfortunately, unsalvageable because the cost of the repair for parts would exceed the price to get a new machine. While he was there, Gabe also did a full clean on our dryer. Awesome! The total bill came out to $455 to give you an idea of the cost. My family will definitely use this company again! Gabriel, the owner of One Shot Installation is a life saver for my wife & I!! Our dryer went out on a Sunday & we had a business trip coming up the next morning! Gabe was absolutely fantastic! About two weeks ago, our washer stopped working on us, mid-load. It wouldn't drain, so we were stuck with a washer full of water and no idea what to do! We thought we'd have to purchase a new washer all together, but thankfully we got in contact with Gabe. He came over to fix the washer and found that there was also an electrical issue with the outlets in the laundry room. He was very patient and thorough in explaining what the issue was, how it would be fixed, and the cost of everything. He had both the washer and electrical issue fixed within 3 hours. Gabe msg. me to see if he could help me get my dryer fixed sooner, he was texting me directions on how I could try to do it myself (which I don't mind, even though I'm a girl) Ha ha, I like to fix stuff, being a single Mom you have to learn how to do things, kill bugs, fix things etc... so since our schedules weren't working out to where we could meet. He was nice enough to try and help me over the phone. Most Repairmen would want to come look at it themselves so they could get paid, but like I said he was nice and generous enough to help me over the phone. Wow! I can't say enough good about this business! Our dryer met a rather unexpected demise late one afternoon. Gabe and his crew came and not only removed the deceased hunk of metal but installed the replacement and before leaving told us that if ANYTHING at all happened, to just give them a call, it would be covered under their warrantee. Well as luck had it, something did stop the dryer. We called them (and it was well after dinner this time and this GREAT COMPANY, left their dinners, to come and give us a new one! THAT NIGHT! I am extremely satisfied and impressed with the service I received from One Shot Services. Gabriel responded quickly and was very knowledgeable in identifying and repairing the issue I was having with the GFCI outlet (consistently shorting out) on my pool pump electrical box. I thought I was going to need to replace the entire box since the GFCI had already been replaced and the electrical box was 30+ years old. Gabriel is such an honest person and he almost insisted he troubleshoot before replacing the box. I'm glad I listened to him. Doing this, he saved me hundreds of dollars. Our dependable old Whirlpool clothes dryer stopped working a couple of weeks ago and I went to Yelp to find a good reliable repair person. One Shot Installation had great reviews and I phoned Gabe to see if he could come out and take a look. He had me text him a photo of the dryer's manufacturing info (so smart) to be sure he knew what he might need to bring. Long story short, he repaired my dryer, cleaned the lint out of the duct, and even discovered a broken part of our washing machine agitator. I found him to be very professional and trustworthy. Needless to say I'm very skeptical when calling for appliance repair but today I lucked out. Gabe answered the phone listened to my Samsung front-load washer dilemma and gave some opinions but after a short time I decided this was a job for a professional. Gabe was at my house within an 1 1/2 hrs. of our conversation and went right to work. He fixed the washers drain pump in a short time, was neat, courteous, professional and put everything back without any mishaps. Ran a test cycle before leaving be ensure all was working as designed. Gabe at One Shot Installation is indeed a skilled and personable craftsman. We live in one of these old 1960 Sun City houses and our bathroom sink sprung a leak that had the potential to start a serious flood. Called Gabe and told him about it and he asked if I could send a picture. Sent the pic and he was here in 20 minutes (and this was late in the afternoon). He pointed out the problem and gave me several options regarding repair. Fixed it so it's like new again. This is a mighty honest, ethical and professional man. Gabe & his crew did a superior job installing cable lines and electrical outlets in a 1987 home we purchased. The attic was a complete mess of wires from old security systems, cables, etc and they cleaned it all up - removed a pile of unused wires the size of a full size garbage can! He recommended all the necessary accessories, gave me part numbers and told me to best places to purchase (some Amazon, some Best Buy) to save money!
