I reached out to Steve because I needed a home drilled in my granite countertop for a dish dispenser. We had a contractor promise to install the soap dispenser hole when the granite was installed but never did! Steve didn't think that was cool and offered to help immediately, he was super thoughtful and said he could get it done ASAP. He came over a few days later with his father, also named Steve. They were hilarious and very careful in the house. Steve was busy making sure everything was put back where it was found. He got the service done in under an hour and arrived when he said he would. It gave me peace of mind knowing he took care of my house like it was his house. I was also grateful that for an hour of labor, the cost was not crazy. Steve senior and junior are awesome, funny, careful, and super professional! Can't recommend them enough. read more

A friend recommended Steve as we wanted several TVs mounted on the wall. We wanted one installed on a tile wall. Steve did an awesome job. He was very careful with the tile especially and everything came out great! He was organized, clean, on time and very professional. I would call him first if we need anything else. Definitely recommend him for handyman services!!! read more

I've had Steve from AZ Repair to my Phoenix condo for a couple of jobs and I'm just totally impressed. He's on time, clean, neat, has all the tools, organized and stays on task. Today, he removed an old 70's recessed fluorescent light in my kitchen. No easy task, the light box had to be moved to the center of the space, of course. Drywall repair, texturizing and painting were required as well. Installing the new 'fandelier' was the least time consuming aspect of the day and it all looks fantastic!! When he left, you'd never know anyone had been here working. All of the trash was removed and the kitchen was as clean as when he started. I'm so glad to find someone here in AZ that I can trust to help with the projects I can't do myself! read more

called and set up a day for work. I was asked if I wanted an estimate before and I said yes. He said you will recieve in two hours, After a day went by then 4 days later I was the day before service NO estimate No follow up, Called and left message asking if service was on for tomorrow and left a message because NO ONE Answered. Now 500 pm and no call back. I said I will try one more time. Got Steve said the man would be out. After he arrived he took about 45 minutes talking when he said I need to go out to truck to get your estimate. Which I asked for a week ago? After another long wait and has a typed estimate for 155 for 1 blind 160 for other work and I said Go ahead and do just the blinds for 155. It would take half hour max. He said no I will do all the work for 155? I did not agreee because that was even more ridiculous. He says let me go out and get my tools NEVER brought in TOOLS? after 20 more minutes of him fighting with Steve on phone I went outside where he was still at his truck no tools in hand and over an hour spent with nothing done I SAID YOU CAN LEAVE. Terrible business very unorganized and they cherry pick work they want to do read more

Since my last review, Steve has done a wide variety of repairs around the house, and always does a perfect job. He did drywall repairs, and repairs on doors and cabinet hinges. Recently, Steve (and his dad) installed new exhaust fans in my bathrooms. It looked like a very complex job, requiring cutting into the drywall. He is incredibly talented, and I will always use him for future repairs. read more

Hands down best quality service you can ask for. I reached out to a variety of Hvac and handyman businesses and many of them said they could not assist in installing a window AC unit that is designed for a vertical closing window onto a horizontal closing window. I was definitely bummed out, but when AZ Home Repair replied and stated they could complete the job with brackets, insulation, and plywood, I was sold. Both gentleman were polite, eager to get the job done, and communicative. I would recommend them to anyone. The pricing was a bit steep, but I did pay for the quality of materials and service. read more

I lost the remote to my office fan, leaving us unable to turn it on or off without turning off all the lights in the office, so I needed a handyman to help install a universal remote control that I had purchased. I found AZ Home Repair Specialists through Yelp's Request a Quote feature, and Steve responded promptly to my request. The crew arrived on time and completed the project perfectly. They were extremely professional and courteous. It was a great experience, and I would hire them again for any future projects we may need. read more

I was at the beginning of getting my condo ready for renting out, my wife and I had been in it for 7+ years and we needed to get it move it n ready after we left. Had Steve stop by and give me an idea of the scope, decided to work together, well over 20 different action items. Best decision and best handyman I've ever worked with. Feels like he treated the place as his own. I was also not able to be on premise through parts of the project but he always kept me updated and took video walk throughs to make sure we were aligned when necessary. Some of the work was beyond some expectation, really happy with the results. If communication, quality of work, and trust is important definitely make sure Steve has an opportunity to win business. He'll be my go to from here on out. read more

Spoke to Steve on the phone after sending photos of the job. He said that he would get a quote over to me but never heard from him again. If you don't want to do the job, just say that! So frustrating to have to deal with companies like this. read more

Avoid this guy like the plague. Steve caused a considerable amount of water damage to my dining room ceiling and master bedroom closet because he didn't install a shower spout diverter properly I had a professional plumbing company fix his error and they pointed out to me the copper piping he damaged and tried to conceal. I can't even begin to tell you how upset I am.He never responded to any of my calls. Steve is not a plumber that's why he's not licensed. I wouldn't hire him for any job. read more

I have been trying to find a reliable company for handyman services. Yelp Projects helped me get in touch with Steve with AZ Home Repair Specialist. Steve was quick to respond. He provided me with an estimate and scheduled a time to install a tv mount in my spare bedroom. Steve and Steve Sr completed the install quickly. They both made sure that the tv was placed in the right spot so no one would be straining their necks. Before leaving, they even checked if there was anything else that was needed. I am super appreciative and will be recommending them and using them going forward. read more

Fantastic experience, and they were so kind and professional. I needed help with installing a Ring floodlight, and they installed it properly. Unfortunately my boss (wife) was not pleased with the initial location, but she called them and they immediately came back out to reinstall the camera in the right place. The experience was professional and pleasant! This will be my go-to call for any future home repair or update! read more

Steve came out on quick notice to look over a project I had started previously (installing a larger dog door). We agreed on a price and he came out the next day to install the dog door. The price was fair for the work to be done. I didn't feel it was too low or too high. It was completed quickly and professionally. I would certainly call this company again for any future projects around my home. Very trustworthy and dependable people. read more

We have had Steven out to our home on a couple of occasions now. The first trip was for some minor repairs and cabinet door adjustments and he was thorough and priced right. He was over again recently to redo the shelving in our coat closet. We are very impressed with the attention to detail. Steven is always on time, very respectful, and communicates well to make sure he understands what we want and that we understand what he is going to do.
