To make matters worse, they said they couldn't turn the system back on and that we might have to wait until Monday for a full system replacement. This all happened on the Wednesday before the Fourth of July, with temperatures well into the triple digits. We have five kids and two dogs, and the thought of going several days without air conditioning was overwhelming. Thankfully, we decided to get a second opinion and called Airtime Cooling & Heating. Jacob came out, started his own evaluation without us telling him what the first company had diagnosed, and quickly impressed us. He simply turned the system back on, ran his own diagnostics, and gave us his honest opinion. His conclusion was completely different--our system did not need to be replaced. Not only did he get our AC running again, but he also took the time to explain what he believed had happened, what to watch for if it occurred again, and even walked us through how to troubleshoot it ourselves. That kind of honesty, education, and customer service is incredibly rare. Instead of facing what could have been a very expensive and unnecessary replacement, we paid for a diagnostic visit, got our AC back, and gained confidence in our system. Because of this experience, we've switched from our previous HVAC company to Airtime Cooling & Heating for all of our future maintenance and service. If Jacob is any indication of the quality of their technicians, they have earned a customer for life. Jacob was truly a 10 out of 10. Knowing that the hours on the website said they closed at 7pm, chances of someone coming out that same day was slim. The guy on the phone initially told me that the earliest appointment would be the next day, but he was able to find Jacob who was in the area and would be able to stop by in 1-2 hours. Jacob arrived and diagnosed the problem pretty quickly. He explained what was wrong (capacitor needed replacement) and then explained how he was going to fix it. He was very patient, made sure everything was up and running and made sure all our questions were answered before he left. Thank you to Jacob and Airtime for saving us from the heat!

Didn't seem to be a problem with electric, refrigerant, etc. We'd had the unit serviced recently so not much dirt on the unit.. I guess we're lucky because in the few years we've been here both our units have functioned great. Wasn't sure who to call, but we'd had a great experience with the plumbing side of Hansen, so we reached out. Scheduling was very easy. You can do so online, or a real person answers the phone. They offered to have someone out within a few hours! Our problem wasn't that urgent, but it's comforting to know. Benjamin was our technician, and he was great with communication. He diagnosed the problem (leaking fan motor) very quickly, and gave us options for repair. At no time was he pushy about anything, just factual. We were on the fence with repair vs replace, but decided the unit had enough life in it to repair. Ben also gave us figures on replacing with an eye towards the future. He wrote it all up even knowing that we weren't going to buy anything in the short term. This is really excellent customer service, and you can bet when we're ready we will remember. The repairs were done quickly, we got an email with the invoice and pictures of all the areas worked on. The property was left tidy, and it was an overall excellent experience. That was a week ago, and our AC is working better than it has in the past two years.

The previous contractor found some Freon oil near the compressor and told my son he needed a whole new unit. Turns out it was from a previous repair and the unit had a full charge of freon which indicated it was not low on Freon due to a leak. The service call was $80 instead of a new unit. We had prefaced this quote request by specifying to the office that we didn't want the highest end units as we were going to only be in the house for 3-5 more years. So, of course, he sees our large house and started pushing the highest end units they had. His responses to my questions were dismissive and haughty - obnoxiously arrogant for someone who made a few mistakes I caught during his presentation - and just found one in his quote. Pricing was the highest of all the vendors we received quotes from, and that's even with him erroneously reducing our 2.5T unit to a 2T unit. Also, their service & labor warranty is the shortest of the vendors at 2 years. Standard seems to be three.

Brett was prompt on getting out there, very straightforward on what the problem was, a condenser failure, and what my options were for replacement. He came back with his recommendations on what system we should go with and was very clear as to why he was recommending it, which helped me to understand his train of thought and whether that met my needs. He and his team were also very quick to replace the unit and accommodating with the daughter, who's currently living at the house. I wasn't gonna leave a review but decided to tell my story to help the next person out. I took my…read moretruck to get an alignment and wheel balancing. The balancing didn't go well, as the truck still hopped a little around 80mph, so I took it back. They realigned it and it made a difference, so I was ok. A few days later, I looked at a wheel and a center cap was missing a bolt. 3 other center caps were cracked to where the bolts didn't secure the caps anymore. I just sat there like, "...now, why wouldn't they tell me this?" Point: plastic center caps crack ALL the time! It's not a big deal. The manufacturers are the problem, being cheap and not wanting to reinforce the caps...as if they want to make money selling us new center caps all the time. I have 6 cars, and two have plastic center caps. You must gently put them on, or they crack if you over-tighten, even slightly. The person at Discount didn't know this, so when they cracked three of my caps, they tried to conceal it by not telling me (and just making the bolt look like it was on correctly). I was NOT UPSET at the cracked cap. Get that out the way, first. I ordered two new caps and had a spare cap in my garage from my spare tire. They aren't expensive at all. Just $35 each, so I bought two new ones online. The next day, I went to Discount - not to get reimbursed - but to show/tell the manager (Tyler, I believe) about the plastic center caps being broken. I wasn't upset about it breaking, but more upset about the tech not telling me it was broken. THINGS BREAK and I get it: plastic is cheap and the manufacturers are wrong for doing our wheels like this. I told him I already bought new ones, but if he could just run it by the guys to BE CAREFUL with plastic center caps, as many have no reinforcment and they will snap/crack. He understood. He felt bad. I wasn't looking for reimbursement, but he asked me how much I paid and reimbursed me! I was not expecting that because I work on cars and I know how plastic will snap. Again, I own 6 cars and I do 99% of the work myself. I'm ok with things breaking, but not ok with concealing the fact that it was broken. Tyler understood and apologized and paid me for the two caps I bought. To me, that was more than I expected and truly genuine for him to offer and to do that for me. In my opinion, the manufacturers need to reimburse us all because cheap is cheap. They need to make center caps with reinforced holes or they need to make them in aluminum. The person that broke mine clearly didn't realize this about plastic center caps and it was not intentional at all. But the concealment of the damage was intentional and that's what upset me. Breaking it? Nah. I was ok with that. It happens. The fact that Tyler made it a point to resolve it AND to have a talk with the techs made the bigger difference. Not all customers would have been so understanding about a broke piece of plastic, but owning multiple cars, I get it. I appreciate Tyle and I appreciate Discount for taking the time to listen and to train the techs to save people the headaches of small mishaps. Things happen, and that's just how life is. That's why replacement parts are sold: because things happen. But we just have to teach our young men to accept responsibility and not hide it. I'm old. Tyler (the manager) is about 10 to 15yrs younger than me. His techs are probably 10 to 15yrs younger than HIM, so we need to pass these lessons down from generation to generation. Tyler understand why I was there: it wasn't for the money, but I appreciate him reiumbursing me. I just needed him to be the leader of the shop and help his guys become more honest mechanics in this world. I'm a mechanic, myself.

So, I was getting a new dryer and decided it would be a good time to clean out my dryer lint vent…read more I ordered a kit with a round brush and some flexible rods that you attach to a drill and feed through the vent to clean out the lint. Sounds simple enough, right? So the flexible rods that screw together unfortunately separate while I'm using the drill and the brush and several of the rods are stuck inside the duct. I watch a YouTube video explaining how to remove it (it apparently happens frequently) by buying additional rods and attaching a "corkscrew" made from a wire hanger which you feed into the duct by hand to hopefully "grab" onto the brush and pull it out. You guessed it, that got stuck too. I called King Air Duct Cleaning and Lance (the owner) assured me that he understood the issue and he would be able to squeeze me in so I could start using my new dryer. Lance was here this morning and he was amazing. Within 20 minutes he had both of the pieces removed from the duct and all of the built-up lint cleared. Then he hooked up my new dryer, tested the airflow and assured me everything was good to go! And the cost was about 1/3 of what I thought it would be! Highly recommended!!!

Here's my story: Just moved here in May and had my unit serviced. Guy came back to me with bad news: valve was cracked and would cost 3500 to fix BUT y compressor is also bad which he gave me an estimate of 8500. Needless to say I was sick. It was still working so I figured I'd just let it go until it didn't. I stopped blowing cold air on the saturday! I was calling around getting prices for a new unit. TSC Air/Don was the second call I made. Don quoted me a few prices then proceeded to ask my questions about my unit. Don wasn't convinced (as I was) that the unit was bad. It's only 6 years old. Don says to me "let me come over and see if it just needs freon". I told Don if he wanted to waste his time and come see it to be my guest. Don saw I was remodeling and immediately knew it was the air filter. Don serviced the unit (coils were frozen) and checked the unit. Compressor is fine and no valve crack. Don/TSC Air is THE BEST. I have recommended him to my friends and family and will NEVER have anybody else but TSC Air work on it going forward. read more

While I was out of town, my family called and said one of our split system a/c was making a strange noise. We called TSC Air and they promptly made us an appt in a few days to take a look. Matt K showed up on time and quickly went to work. Because when I turned the a/c on, the unit was no longer making a clicking sound, he had to do a total check to see if he could find the problem. He discovered the capacitor was barely functioning and replaced it. That probably saved our unit in the long run. While he was here, he said he would check the other unit too. That was a circa 2004 a/c and I thought a check up was probably needed anyway. Matt found the capacitor for the fan was also barely working, so that was taken care of. Knowing how expensive everything is currently, we are very happy to have found these problems preemptively before they turn into a huge expense. Don took all the time needed to explain the pros and cons of different sizes. Don was very knowledgeable and not pushing us to the highest priced unit. The install was very clean and efficient. Last summer, we had our air conditioner go out. We have a home warranty so I called to submit a claim. They approved my claim and gave me a company to call. I called the company they referred me to and they said it would take two days for them to be able to come out. Not ok in the middle of an Arizona summer. Fortunately, I found TSC Air, Don came out the same day and fixed our air conditioner. This summer, my daughter's AC went out and it was the same drill..."call this company...they can be out in two days"....with two babies in her home! Jacob and his assistant trainee did a thorough job doing my annual maintenance on my 2 Trane heat pumps last week. Unfortunately Jacob discovered that my smaller unit was not working, but the replacement part was ordered promptly and installed today by another technician who's name I unfortunately do not remember. The cost was exactly what was quoted and all the technicians provided professional grade service. This company is the absolute best! I have had them out twice and both times I dreaded it needed a new system, but Matt took time to really understand the issue and resolved them for minimal cost, they have always been very prompt and professional, I wouldn't work with anyone else especially since they seem to want to help keep systems going instead of up selling on a new unit! My AC went out on a Friday night and I called TSC Air at 5:30pm. They said that Fernando was working Saturday and would call in the morning and let me know what time he would be out to the house. He did just that and came and fixed the problem that morning! All other companies I called could not come out until the following week. Even my home warranty company could not help. We use TSC air as maintenance on our home. Their workers come out twice a year to check the heating and the air conditioning system to clean out whatever needs being done. They are great! We had TSC air come out to service our air conditioner. If you have a home warranty and not doing maintenance they may not pay for the repairs.. Also while they were here I had them replace my old thermostat with a new state of state-of-the-art Nest thermostat, all programmable with my phone. Now I can make sure my solar panels and thermostat are working together! read more

I had an A/C unit that was almost 20 years old replaced by TCS Air. They arrived on time and went out of their way to explain each step of the process. I only had one day available for the install and they were able to complete the installation on the specified day. Our air conditioner went out last night. We called TSC the next morning and Don was able to make it to our home within 2 hrs. Don repaired our unit and thermostat and had us back up and running an hour later. A big relief for our family in the middle of a Phoenix summer.
