I was looking for a new A/C company because I felt like my previous service provider was always trying to upsell me on services and products I didn't really need. After reaching out to several companies, I was most impressed by my conversation with Desert Comfort Mechanical. They took the time to listen, answer my questions, and made me feel like they genuinely cared about my needs rather than just making a sale. When it came time for routine maintenance, I decided to give them a call, and I'm glad I did. Their communication is outstanding from start to finish. The entire team is friendly, professional, and makes the experience feel very personal. A special shoutout to Trino, the service technician. He was fabulous! He is both professional and personable, and he kept me informed throughout the entire process. He explained everything clearly, communicated what he was doing every step of the way, and made sure all of my questions were answered. I highly recommend Desert Comfort Mechanical and look forward to using them for all my future HVAC needs. read more

My central air up and quit on me at 4:30pm. It was 110 outside. Called Desert Mechanical and the y had a tech at my house by 6:15 and the issue was fixed by 8 pm. Great jog at a great price. Would recommend. read more

These guys are awesome. I needed help with an A/C control panel that was not working. I randomly called Desert Comfort Mechanical. I spoke with Fadel. He was great. Asked me to send pictures of the unit then walked me through what I needed to do. He was quick to respond and not one single time did he suggest making a house call. He helped me solve my problem over the phone for no charge. If I ever need an A/C repair company I would definitely give these guys a call. read more

Great service. Quick, friendly, helpful and got the job done! If I had to call for service again, they would be my first call!

Fidel came to the rescue to fix AC years back when we needed a motor and my elderly mom was melting. He found the motor and had it cooling within hours. I have used him ever since and never been disappointed. Trino always shows up with a smile and gets the service done. I appreciate having a reliable company, great staff, ez to schedule. BTW it's a duplex and we are out of state but I try to make it in to meet with him. 5 stars no push to do more than needed. Thank you for being a good business partner. read more

Great overall experience. First off, nobody likes an AC service unit call anytime. Mine happened at 6:15pm and Fadel answered my call and walked thru issue over phone. He was at my house by 7pm and we walked thru the issue on my downstairs ac unit. He diagnosed the issue to be bad fuses and we agreed to replace. He also identified another component that was testing low which was also contributing to my motor overworking more than it needed to. No pressure to replace but with him already out here I agreed to the replacement parts. He testing it all out, got ac working and didn't try and upsell me anything that didn't need to be done. He said my ac unit looked good overall and recommended some upkeep things to think about for the future. He also gave us a 15% discount as my wife is a first responder. Just a really good dude overall. I recommend calling them if you have summer ac troubles! Pretty common in Arizona! Thank you for your service, Fadel. Quality. Value. Service. 5 stars! read more

Quality work at a reasonable price. I found them because they are one of the few companies who are pro-veteran. I am very happy that I did.

I called to request a tune-up and possible repair for my a/c units. After asking me quite a few questions, they made a few recommendations to try before proceeding with scheduling the service. I really appreciate the integrity of this company. Sadly, that can be hard to find these days! read more

I appreciate businesses that operate with the honesty, integrity, and transparency that DCM does. Fadel and Trino took the time to explain diagnostic results and repair options to me in both layman and technical terms and also answered all of my questions without rushing me off the phone. They did not push repairs or upsell me either. They've earned my business and I highly recommend them to other folks in need of AC help. read more

Genuine applause and gratitude for your services, expediency, and integrity. As a lesbian couple and as a woman veteran myself, thank you for your professionalism and respect for our home. We have had other service providers come for repairs who have tried to nickel and dime us with "potential emergencies" that need a man to remedy if nothing else. All we want is an honest effective repair without the added drama or headache of worry. Thank you, Fidel, for arranging the service call, for forewarning us of potential delays, for calling before arriving, for arriving on schedule, for patiently listening to our concerns and assessments, for carefully inspecting the entirety of our furnace system, for thoroughly explaining the scale of the problems and most of all, for offering us fair options to resolve our HVAC issues. I wish more repair technicians and business owners were real leaders in the services like you are. read more

They recently replaced a rooftop unit on my rental condominium. They were very professional. The quote was accurate with options provided to control costs. The day of installation was very smooth including the use of a crane to get the old unit down and new one up. I was provided with photos of the old and new units on the roof as well as the proof of warranty validation. Further, I was claiming the repair after the installation on a home warranty policy and Desert provided me with all the information. I needed in a speedy manner. I highly recommend their services. read more

I would recommend Desert Comfort Mechanical. They scheduled the service appointment quickly and arrived on time. They are good at what they do and they are customer friendly. read more

Fantastic company. Fadel, the tech was informative and super helpful. My AC went out at 2pm. Got a hold of Desert Comfort Mechanical and had an appointment for 6AM the next day. Fadel called at 7pm and said he was running ahead of schedule and could fit me in same day. He was here in about 11min, had the problem diagnosed and fixed very quickly. He explained everything that he did and double checked the compressor, fans, voltage, everything. Great company, reasonable pricing and great service!!!! I have had an a/c leak for some time now. Fadel and Trino spent a lot of time investigating the best way to replace the line set on my split unit which was extremely difficult through my roof and a long run via the attic to the unit in the garage. On the scheduled day they arrived exactly on time and Trino and Enrique removed some wood siding and crawled into my attic to pull the new line over 60'. They overcame varying difficulties to replace it and then had to purge the old line; check with nitrogen that there was no leak and replace the refrigerant and test. Trino was not happy that the unit was mounted below the granite rock and went to get a new pad and replaced that as well. They spent 12 hours from 6am to 6pm making sure it was working. They replaced the siding and cleaned up perfectly and stayed to make sure it was working correctly. Despite the added difficulties and new pad, they honored the original estimate. I cannot say enough about their customer service and work ethic. I am sure there are cheaper contractors, but if you want it done right by someone who cares, I highly recommend them. read more

I cannot recommend Desert Comfort Mechanical enough. My older a/c developed a problem in which the interior fan would randomly not start. Re-booting the system would get it to work again, which proved the fans could blow and the compressor could compress, so it was far from a complete system failure. I called three of the most "reputable" companies in the valley and all three gave vague diagnoses then went straight to selling a new unit. I thought the system had life remaining and called Doug at Desert Comfort Mechanical. He agreed, and before even scheduling a visit gave me an idea (for free) to try before spending any money. That was my first indication I had reached someone with real integrity. The idea ultimately did not work, but eliminated one possibility. He came shortly thereafter, diagnosed the entire system, found the problem (which had not been mentioned by any of the other three), and replaced the faulty part. The system has performed flawlessly for 12 days, and I have found my new a/c tech. read more

My A/C Went out early Sunday morning and I called DCM and they promptly came out and replaced a capacitor and got the A/C working before it started to heat up for the day. I would recommend this company. read more

The A/C started blowing hot air late Friday night during the hottest Labor Day weekend in history. On Saturday morning, I started calling around to 24/7 A/C service companies and no one was available until Monday or Tuesday. I searched Yelp and found Desert Comfort Mechanical. Fadel was able to come out and find the problem right away. I highly recommend Desert Comfort Mechanical. read more

My A/C compressor went out based on age and the storm we had a few days ago, so we didn't get any cooling in the main are of the house. I called the number after reviewing the comments on Yelp and thought why not give it a shot. Usually I'd like to get referrals through friends and family. I called at 7:30am and had Fadel, the technician, out at the house by 11am. Within minutes he identified the problem and was in and out in less than 30-mins. While he was here he serviced both Trane units and replaced the compressor for the second A/C as well as it was getting to an age. He was honest and told me the fan motor is squeaking on the larger unit that he came to replace the part for. It is currently working, but not sure how long it'll last. Rather than replacing a working part, he suggested I call back when the A/C goes out again as he already knows what the issue will be. I mean it's like the 6-star service you expect and almost never get nowadays. The price was fair too. You earned a new customer and my referral will go towards this locally owned business. Thank you for being prompt, courteous and most importantly honest!!!! read more

Fidel came promptly at 9:00 AM. Very respectful, wearing a face mask/gaiter as well as shoe covers. He was fast and efficient, and most importantly fixed our heater. Definitely recommend Desert Comfort! read more

So I was in the cooking dinner and noticed it was getting a a little hotter in the kitchen than the usual. Turns out, the AC in our home is went out in the middle of summer. The thermostat was showing 92 degrees inside! So I turn on every fan we have (which was no help) felt like we were living inside an air fryer. Long story short I started calling a bunch AC repair places who claim to be 24/7 but the earliest they could come out was 2-3days later. -__- Anyways I contacted Desert Comfort Mechanical around 11:30 pm and they were able to come out the following morning. The crew Fadel and Dennis are great guys and took really good care of us. They were knowledgeable courteous , Fast, and gave us a fair price. What I like most is that did not rip us off like the other AC company we've used before with the big ugly blue trucks with the goofy looking polar bear on the side. Desert Comfort Mechanical will definitely be my go to for any AC problems. 100% satisfied, Thank you guys again. read more

Highly recommend. Fidel initially came out to quote on a new AC system but I decided to wait till around November. I hired them to do a tuneup/maintenance for now. Thursday night, I returned home, and my house thermostat was showing 85 degrees. I tried everything I knew to do without success. My husband searched for an AC repair company, saw the 5-star reviews for Desert Comfort Mechanical, and gave them a call. He called three companies, and Desert Comfort was the only one to call him back. They called back within 30 minutes. It was 9:00 pm by this time. Fidel said they could be out that same night or at 5:00 am. Since it was so late, already I opted for the early morning appointment. Fidel and another gentleman arrived when they said they would and, within 20 minutes, knew what the trouble was. They were both extremely professional and offered several options with reasonable pricing. They made the repairs the same day, provided me with Duct Cleaning company referrals, and even checked on me that evening to see if everything had cooled down and was working great. I will refer Desert Comfort to anyone asking if I know a good AC company and be a loyal customer from here on out. Desert Comfort is a perfect example of great customer service. read more

I moved into a new home that had a single unit on the roof with two stories, and my main concern was air flow. I had 6 different companies give me a diagnostic and quotes (the high end being 12K to fix duct work and add insulation) and nobody had one singular way to fix the problem I had. I reached out to Desert Comfort and they sent Sean, their air-flow guru to take a look at the system. He explained the poor design, the lack of access and the air flow issues. He also was realistic about what results I could expect, and how my system was choking with only a single return. He obviously had been doing this for decades and can work by feel. He said he would write up the scope of work. I worked with Joseph Albertson who is the Customer Relationship Manager. He was nothing short of fantastic. We traded multiple emails back and forth,t he quote was upfront and reasonable, and I ended up adding on a few services and he guided me away from options that would only cost me money. The crew arrived at 6AM, Sean and a partner. They go in my attic, added a new return, did an air balance, added a remote thermostat. While on top of the roof checking the system they spotted an issue with a line backup and a pound of refrigerant being low. Everything was informative and no salesmanship, I opted to have them take care of the issues on the spot. Joseph's first concern was our experience with the onsite. It was fantastic. E-invoice was easy to pay, clear to read, and this company was a pleasure to deal with. They don't advertise and they work via word of mouth and by their yelp reviews. Compared to the dozens of shady outfits in PHX that crowd out the good providers, these guys are a great provider. read more

Came home from vacation to find our AC had completely frozen up. After defrost, compressor worked but no blower. Researched online and found Desert Comfort. Checked BBB rating which is excellent, and after reading other reviews decide to try them. Called and left a message. Call was returned within the hour and appointment was scheduled within 24 hours (we had another unit so we could live without emergency service). Fadel came, checked it out, found bad capacitor, replaced and we were again cool in an hour. He is very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Pricing is very reasonable and we could not be happier. Would recommend to anyone looking for HVAC repair and/or maintenance. You won't be disappointed. Thanks Desert Comfort. read more

Doug called me back after I left a message regarding my evaporative cooler that I had issues with. After explaining what was going on he walked me thru the entire process of elimination to pinpoint the problem and after spending a good 25 min. on the phone with him the problem was solved and my cooler is working. Doug could have easily turned this into a service call and made money on my issue but he didn't. He was patient and extremely professional. Thank you Doug for taking the time. My a/c stopped blowing cold air on the hottest day of the year, a Sunday, at 5:30pm. I tried calling multiple places that advertise same day service, not one of them could come before the next day. I called Desert Comfort Mechanical after searching 24/7 ac service on Yelp. As mentioned on their Yelp page, I was calling after hours so no one answered my call but I left a voicemail at 6:35pm, I received a call from Fadel 20 minutes later saying that he could be at my house within 20 minutes. He was very friendly and was able to get the ac working quickly. He also came back the next day to replace a part and was very quick. I felt the price was very fair and I am very happy with the service I received from Fadel. I will definitely be using Desert Comfort Mechanical for all my future ac needs! read more

I was calling around to get estimates on having an evaporative cooler removed. Desert Comfort Mechanical immediately stood out because the person answering the phone knew exactly what they were talking about. We discussed capping or totally removing the system. I appreciated a professional opinion. They also gave me an instant quote. This gave me comfort that they must do this type of work frequently. The other companies I contacted didn't know immediately if they did this type of work and of course couldn't give me a quote. The crew showed up on schedule. I had received a call letting me know they were on their way. They were very professional and completed the work with the removal and capping. Once the work was finished, one of the technicians showed me everything that had been done, making sure I was happy with the work. Best part was that as I was paying my bill I was asked if I was a veteran. I was using my USAA card. I told him I was and he gave me a 10% discount off of the quoted price! Finding honest, professional help isn't always easy. I think I found a good one. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them highly to others. read more

I highly recommend DCM. We had them replace 2 AC units and put in some new ductwork for a home we purchased end of November. Extremely professional, responsive, knowledgable. They take pride in the quality of their work and the services they provide, and they do not disappoint. Their rates are competitive as well (I had gotten quotes from a few other companies). Joseph was absolutely wonderful to work with. He is great with communication and following up throughout the entire process with thorough/detailed emails - from initial questions/estimates all the way to after install and setting up warranties for the units. Shaun was also extremely helpful, detailed and took the time to answer many of our other questions about the home and HVAC. And lastly, Fidel and his crew were wonderful - very hardworking, efficient and courteous. My husband and I really appreciated the extra time Fidel spent over going the new systems with us. Again, I am extremely satisfied with DCM and would highly recommend them. read more
