It wasn't as corporate and unfeeling as I thought it would be--which shook me to my core. As I waddled in aimlessly and tried to blend in, this nice fella who I assumed was the manager helped me out and honestly we just vibed. Found out that he really loves the movie Heat (I was wearing the poster as a graphic tee) and I mentioned that he reminded me of Val Kilmer, but nicer. Anyway--he really helped me out and lowkey/highkey I felt like I had my own personal stylist. He turned me on to some nice classic black dress shoes that were frankly a bargain. I was honestly taken aback by his humanity and customer service. He could tell that I looked like I haven't left the house since the pandemic but treated me like I was the King of Spain. I believe his name was Max but he was a kind man and I really felt seen. Anyway, enough mushy stuff--the store is clean and well kept and they seem to run a tight ship. I'll definitely tell my real estate homies that Skechers actually has some sick options for the working professional.

My husband and his groomsmen rented tuxedos from Friar Tux, and…read morewhile the process started off smoothly, it ended up being extremely stressful and disappointing. Ray, the manager, initially assisted us and was professional and helpful when placing the order. I specifically pointed to a mannequin and requested that exact suit combination, including long ties (not bowties). I also made it very clear that one of the groomsmen would be flying in from Germany and likely wouldn't be able to pick up his suit until the day before the wedding. I asked multiple times if this would be an issue, and Ray reassured me that everything would be fine and that the suit would be in stock--even during prom season. Leading up to the wedding, I called about three separate times and spoke with different staff members to confirm that the suit for our groomsman would be ready. Each time, I was reassured that there would be no problem. However, the day before the wedding, when our groomsman went to pick up his suit, it was not available. They couldn't find the order or the suit, and he had to drive to another location to get it. This was completely unacceptable--especially given how many times I had called to confirm. The timing made it even worse, as it added unnecessary stress right before the wedding. On top of that, all of the groomsmen were given bowties instead of the long ties I had specifically requested, which was another frustrating mix-up. Unfortunately, the issues didn't end there. When the suits were returned, we were told that one of the tuxedos had not been returned. We confirmed with our mother-in-law that she had dropped off all the suits at Friar Tux. Despite this, we were charged for the missing tux. Later, it turned out the suit *had* been returned--they simply failed to log it properly or place it in the correct area. This level of disorganization is unacceptable. Even worse, after charging us for the tux, they did not fully refund the amount once the mistake was discovered. We were shorted approximately $150, which led to another frustrating process of trying to get our money back. We were transferred multiple times and had a very difficult time resolving the issue. While Ray did apologize and refunded part of the issues, the response didn't feel very sincere, and it seemed like everything was brushed off. A refund does not make up for the stress, time, and inconvenience caused during such an important event. Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing. Between the missing suit, incorrect items, poor communication, and billing errors, I would not rent from here again.

In all my years on the planet (nearly half a century) nobody has ever said that to me directly, and with such confidence. I visited the shop once open, got measured, and my job was complete and ready for pickup at the promised time. Truly a memorable experience that deserves to be shared.
