There's a good selection of women's shoes though the majority of the store is tailored to men. Steel-toe shoes come in a variety of styles, from athletic-looking shoes to heavy duty boot-style construction. There are numerous features, so be sure to let the helpful staff know what exactly you're looking for in the shoe. Waterproof, puncture resistant, etc. Prices are on the high side, $120 and up, though they do have a selection of sales tagged items on a table just inside the front doors. And, if you're a union member of work for a utility or construction company, they do offer a discount. Be sure to bring your appropriate company-issued identification badge. One of the good things: if you can't find what you're looking for in-store, they can order it for you. As it turns out, I wanted to try a shoe that the Waimalu Plaza store did not have in stock in my size, so they ordered it online and had it shipped to the Nimitz location. No extra charge! My husband came here to pick up shoes for work. They have a great return and exchange policy. They lady that helped him asked him questions about his feet. This store is easy to see from Nimitz Highway and located in the Nimitz Center. This is the place to be if you work in construction or some kind of trade and need steel toe or heavy duty work shoes. They have a great selection to choose from depending what you need. Btw, these shoes are expensive so you should check if you qualify for a discount. I know that the Pearl Harbor apprentice workers get a discount with their badge. The workers are also super friendly and helpful. Cheap material and lose money. The staff refused to replace the $250 waterproof boots I purchased in june of 2020 because a hole was created inside the heel due to normal wear and water was filling the boot. Purchased my King toe shoe ten months ago for around $375 and noticed on both shoes the soles were separating from the shoe. Looked on line and noticed I have a 12 month warranty. So brought my shoes in and assistant manager rudely said "No warranty will be allowed, that normal wear and tear is not covered under this warranty, only manufacturer defects is covered". I asked him what do you consider manufacturer defect if the shoes soles are seperating from the soles after only ten months and all I do is maintenance work, no construction work what so ever then what is? He stated again this is normal wear and tear and couldn't explain to me what is manufacturer defect. Then said he would trespass me if I don't leave. Although my last experience here wasn't the best. The person who greeted me from behind the counter was John. So I described it again in a different way, then he just pointed at it saying that's the closest thing they have. Probably my shortest review yet, but If you work in the construction field or any field really where you need steel toe shoes, I HIGHLY recommend buying red wings. It'll set your wallet back a little bit but it's totally worth it. My husband goes back and forth on shoes that don't last him very long. He got a pair of boots here that will most likely last him over 1 year. (He's had a pair way back in the day that lasted him way over a year). I really like this store for there boot selection and the staff. The store manager Eleanor Sholtis was amazingly helpful and very patient. After I tried on a couple of pairs of boots. And thought I had the ones. I got home and wore them around the house and found out they weren't for me. I returned to the store Eleanor basically told me start looking. I bought a pair of boots for special occasion back in 2017 then left them in the closet till January. I've been wearing them for 4 months now and they start coming apart at the heel. I took them back to the store and the employee referred straight to her 6 month warranty on the boots. I didn't know boots expire after six months! she offered to glue them for me. Store is easy to find right on nimitz next to eagle cafe, HE greater I, etc. Lots of parking either right in front or in there structure for that plaza out back. Workers are very helpful and know about there products. All i had to do was tell them what kind of shoe it had to be and they showed me which ones matched my needs. They even have a computer programmed footpad you stand in and it tells you how wide, what size and how much your foot arches. They take your info and put it in their system so next time you go back they already know what you need. I'll be coming back for years to come. I'm still breaking them in but I really like them. He insured me that if the felt like they need to be widened then they were able to do that being that it's leather and it would take overnight. Came in with my husband because he needed shoes for work. When we stepped into the door there was no employee in sight, I thought it was closed. But as you get closer to the cashier booth you see both employees literally sitting behind it, rocking their chairs. There was only one other customer in the store and he left as soon as we entered. My husband was trying to look at different shoes and asked for assistance and what does the employees do? Point from their comfortable seats. The only time they got up was when my husband wanted a different size. They could hear my husband and I discussing which shoes fits his needs but no assistance or advice came. He even went to the accessories to look for something to repair his currents steel toe shoe, and again asked for assistance in what was best for him. All he got was someone from the cashier booth pointing to him to where the items where at. It was only when it came time to purchase did the cashier let him know he got the wrong accessory for the intended use, and they told him to get the right one instead of picking it out for him. I was furious with how lazy and unprofessional they were but hubby needed his shoes asap. Will be going to the Pearl City store from now one. I have been a Red Wing customer around 10 years. They discontinued the style I preferred. The comparable ones are $100 more. The new style stabs me in the ankle bones and have no padding. The company I work for paid for the boots but now I will be having to buy the inserts out of my pocket. I thought they cared about the workers.
