The staff was very helpful in the whole process of buying a new pair of boots! They had no problem measuring and up saled professionally without being pushy! That's much appreciated read more

Located at the strip mall on Nimitz. Parking available in front of the store. Staff for knowledgeable and helpful. You can get a discount for certain unions and also military discounts. They are nice to look at the other stores to see if your item is available and will call to put them on hold. Our shoes were available, though I overheard them calling for another Shopper. read more

Excellent customer service!! Came for some shoes, got measured and gait checked on the "measuring" pad. Surprised to find out I'm flat footed (?). The gentleman working there was extremely helpful and super friendly! Parking wasn't great as it's shared with many tenants. Big cars and trucks will be most difficult to park here. read more

Super knowledgeable staff on their product and what size would fit the best. Easiest decision on shoes. Be ready to pay a premium because the shoes are quality and should last several years. read more

If you're looking for steel-toe shoes, then look no further than Red Wing Shoe Store which has a few locations across Oahu. For townies like me, the Nimitz store is conveniently located in a strip mall near, uhm, er, Sensually Yours (blushing a bright red!) that has ample free parking. There's a good selection of women's shoes though the majority of the store is tailored to men. Steel-toe shoes come in a variety of styles, from athletic-looking shoes to heavy duty boot-style construction. There are numerous features, so be sure to let the helpful staff know what exactly you're looking for in the shoe. Waterproof, puncture resistant, etc. Prices are on the high side, $120 and up, though they do have a selection of sales tagged items on a table just inside the front doors. And, if you're a union member of work for a utility or construction company, they do offer a discount. Be sure to bring your appropriate company-issued identification badge. One of the good things: if you can't find what you're looking for in-store, they can order it for you. As it turns out, I wanted to try a shoe that the Waimalu Plaza store did not have in stock in my size, so they ordered it online and had it shipped to the Nimitz location. No extra charge! It took about two weeks to arrive. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a 6-month warranty on the shoes, are pluses. Plus, no pressure to buy. They just want you to find the right fit for your needs. Thanks, Red Wing Shoe Store, for great customer service! read more

Red Wing Shoe Store is in the same strip mall as New Eagle Cafe on Nimitz. The store isn't very big, but they offer quality shoes, especially if you need steel toe shoes. My husband came here to pick up shoes for work. They have a great return and exchange policy. They lady that helped him asked him questions about his feet. She recommended a shoe and an insole to go with it. He tried it on and liked it, so we went with what she recommended. They offer 10% off shoes for military and shipyard workers. read more

Wow awesome guys professional team and good knowledge..especially John the store manager thanks we will be back soon

This store is easy to see from Nimitz Highway and located in the Nimitz Center. This is the place to be if you work in construction or some kind of trade and need steel toe or heavy duty work shoes. They have a great selection to choose from depending what you need. Btw, these shoes are expensive so you should check if you qualify for a discount. I know that the Pearl Harbor apprentice workers get a discount with their badge. The workers are also super friendly and helpful. The guy helping my boyfriend was really patient and gave thorough explanations of all the shoes he asked about. ******** Heavy duty shoes Red Wing is the place to go Good shoe selection read more

Cheap material and lose money. The staff refused to replace the $250 waterproof boots I purchased in june of 2020 because a hole was created inside the heel due to normal wear and water was filling the boot. Their reason for voiding the 12 month warranty was "because you caused the material to rip and water to get in!" read more

I bought a pair of composite toes boots in April. Within the last few weeks they hurt my feet so much during the day I have to take them off. Store said there is nothing they could do if 30 day's pass. Should have bought them on Amazon. read more

Purchased my King toe shoe ten months ago for around $375 and noticed on both shoes the soles were separating from the shoe. Looked on line and noticed I have a 12 month warranty. So brought my shoes in and assistant manager rudely said "No warranty will be allowed, that normal wear and tear is not covered under this warranty, only manufacturer defects is covered". I asked him what do you consider manufacturer defect if the shoes soles are seperating from the soles after only ten months and all I do is maintenance work, no construction work what so ever then what is? He stated again this is normal wear and tear and couldn't explain to me what is manufacturer defect. Then said he would trespass me if I don't leave. Not wanting to get arrested over a pair of shoes I left. But found the assistant manager to be very rude and unprofessional and very unhelpful. Making this the worst experience ever! read more

I understand during COVID people are stressed, but when I go into a store and ask questions about your shoe product I do expect to be spoken to with a smile. Every question I asked your employee about your shoes or shoe inserts was I dont know, it's up to you, and her tone was very assertive. When your customers are coming in to buy shoes that are between $275-$325 your employees should know how to provide courteous customer service. read more

My hats off to the research and development department of redwing boot and shoe. I purchased my first pair of red wings that were a new model cool tech model 6344. I'll give this place a 5 star because it's usually filled with great helpful people who stand up, walk up to us and show us a variety of things that may fit our needs. Although my last experience here wasn't the best. The person who greeted me from behind the counter was John. I described what I needed and he said they didn't have anything like that there, yet I was there the day before and knew they did. So I described it again in a different way, then he just pointed at it saying that's the closest thing they have. I mean, I'm the only customer there, can't you at least STAND up, walk over there and show Me,describe what it does and how it works. Ask me what I'm trying to do so you can help me figure out exactly what I need to buy to fix a $230 work boot. I'm not docking Red Wing for ONE bad apple, but I'm in customer service and if you can give your attention to customers (mind you I was the only one there) why don't you? read more

The staff was friendly, fast, and knowledgeable. I was looking for a good pair of work boots. They had a good selection, and the guy at the counter made it easy to get in, out, and on my way. I'd definitely return if I need another pair of work boots read more

Probably my shortest review yet, but If you work in the construction field or any field really where you need steel toe shoes, I HIGHLY recommend buying red wings. It'll set your wallet back a little bit but it's totally worth it. My husband goes back and forth on shoes that don't last him very long. He got a pair of boots here that will most likely last him over 1 year. (He's had a pair way back in the day that lasted him way over a year). Also they give free shoe laces if you need yours replaced. They also fix soles (but for the price you could just buy new shoes) anyway you won't be disappointed. read more

I really like this store for there boot selection and the staff. The store manager Eleanor Sholtis was amazingly helpful and very patient. After I tried on a couple of pairs of boots. And thought I had the ones. I got home and wore them around the house and found out they weren't for me. I returned to the store Eleanor basically told me start looking. It seemed as if I tried on every safety shoe in there. And she didn't blink an eye. She just kept grabbing the next one and the next one. I would have been throwing shoes at me:) After all this she ended up ordering me a pair and new exactly what I needed. Love the boots and thank you so much Eleanor. I would highly recommend this place. read more

The ABSOLUTE WORST customer service. The manager was comically rude and unhelpful. People like that shouldn't be in the customer service industry at all. Do not, I repeat do not patronize this store. SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED CASH ELSEWHERE where customers are treated with respect. Would give less than one star if I could. read more

The shoes are good, a little pricey. For quality shoes, you should expect to pay a premium. I purchased a pair of black oxford work boots, they are stiff right now but I'm trying to break them in. The sales staff today were not very friendly, there were two gentlemen. I was the only customer at that moment. It wasn't a pleasant experience purchasing from here, but I like the shoes that I bought. read more

I understand the protocols for the safety of customers and employees, and I believe there's a way and a tone to treat your customers. Unfortunately this location doesn't have the finesse of tact of either. There's a limited amount of customers for this location (3) to be exact, one of the customers looked like he worked there so my husband and I entered the store. The rep here rudely yelled from the counter there's a limit so one of you need to leave. No kind words no kind tone just "one of you need to leave". Customer service none given. Heading to the Kailua store, if I'm gonna spend $300+ I'd spend it where's a bit of kindness. read more

I bought a pair of boots for special occasion back in 2017 then left them in the closet till January. I've been wearing them for 4 months now and they start coming apart at the heel. I took them back to the store and the employee referred straight to her 6 month warranty on the boots. I didn't know boots expire after six months! she offered to glue them for me. I paid 175 for work boots and got ripped off. I expect the tread to wear out before the material comes apart. Shitty product, shitty customer service. Beware read more

I have been buying my work boots from this store for years and the quality is amazing. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Today I called the store to get some shoe recommendations for my wife and John was completely helpful and invested even though what we were looking for wasn't at his particular store. Thank you so much. I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for thier work boots. read more

Had to get new work boots and everybody at my job says red wings is the way to go. First time actually buying my own pair of work boots, my last job provided us with them. Store is easy to find right on nimitz next to eagle cafe, HE greater I, etc. Lots of parking either right in front or in there structure for that plaza out back. Workers are very helpful and know about there products. All i had to do was tell them what kind of shoe it had to be and they showed me which ones matched my needs. They even have a computer programmed footpad you stand in and it tells you how wide, what size and how much your foot arches. They take your info and put it in their system so next time you go back they already know what you need. I'll be coming back for years to come. Also for any Shipyard workers if you show them your NAVSEA badge or CAC card you get 15 percent off read more

On my recent trip a few days ago to red wing on Nimitz hwy, I can't recall having that kind of poor customer service ever. The manager and the other associate there never came out from behind the counter to discuss and get you into the right product. I've been a longtime customer but I think I'll take my business to work shoe Hawai'i, just down the road from here, where it's a local family owned store with great customer service.Very disappointing that a manager can be so lazy!! read more

They have excellent customer service there. It was only one employee working but he knew what he was talking about. So far I have had my shoes about a week. I'm still breaking them in but I really like them. He insured me that if the felt like they need to be widened then they were able to do that being that it's leather and it would take overnight. Didn't mind getting me a bunch of different sizes and different shoes. Great place for men and women work boots. Also they know there shoes and will teach you how to care for them. read more

Wanted to purchase some boots, and when I arrived at the store I was the only customer. The two guys working behind the desk could not be bothered to get out of their seats and assist me. They also acted as if my asking questions was interrupting their time (doing absolutely nothing). I was left with the impression they couldn't careless about making a sale and I felt very uncomfortable with the lack of manners. I left and took my $300 and my business elsewhere. read more

I've been buying red wings for a very long time!! This store didn't have the model number I usually wear. Eleanor was so helpful and actually got them ordered! Took 2 weeks for shipment and that's normal! So no problems there. Also I see they carry a lot more options from the heritage line which is awesome because of course it's made in the USA! read more

Came in with my husband because he needed shoes for work. When we stepped into the door there was no employee in sight, I thought it was closed. But as you get closer to the cashier booth you see both employees literally sitting behind it, rocking their chairs. There was only one other customer in the store and he left as soon as we entered. My husband was trying to look at different shoes and asked for assistance and what does the employees do? Point from their comfortable seats. The only time they got up was when my husband wanted a different size. They could hear my husband and I discussing which shoes fits his needs but no assistance or advice came. He even went to the accessories to look for something to repair his currents steel toe shoe, and again asked for assistance in what was best for him. All he got was someone from the cashier booth pointing to him to where the items where at. It was only when it came time to purchase did the cashier let him know he got the wrong accessory for the intended use, and they told him to get the right one instead of picking it out for him. I was furious with how lazy and unprofessional they were but hubby needed his shoes asap. Will be going to the Pearl City store from now one. Although it was years ago since we went, I do remember the staff being more of an assistance than here. read more

If you must buy these kinda shoes... make sure you go to the Nimitz location n see Ren!! He was sooo patient with trying on all the different pairs of styles they had. I have been a Red Wing customer around 10 years. They discontinued the style I preferred. The comparable ones are $100 more. The new style stabs me in the ankle bones and have no padding. The company I work for paid for the boots but now I will be having to buy the inserts out of my pocket. I thought they cared about the workers. I shall not and will not recommend buying Red Wings again. read more
