My New Year's Day tradition is to head down to Ala Moana, but I wasn't feeling like driving into town to be disappointed with a pricy fukubukuro bag of things a store couldn't get rid of during the holidays or last season. Since I hadn't been to Waikele in months, I convinced my BF to come with me to the Outlets.
Parking was a bit challenging for a few reasons, 1) it was New Year's Day. Everyone is still soaking up the holiday. 2) Parking stalls on the Ewa side of the outlets, stink. The stalls are too narrow AND thanks to them being narrow, Drivers think it's acceptable to take up more than one stall. It's not. Please don't do that.
When we finally found a stall, I initially headed for Kate Spade, but the Cole Haan outlet store caught my eye. The only Cole Haan outlet I've ever saw was back in Castle Rock, Colorado, so I was stoked to see one here in Hawaii. I made a beeline for the entrance and went in.
As you walk into the store, you'll see women's on the left and men on the right. The clearance is on the back wall and in the "middle" there were a few shades and leather jackets. I wasn't in the market for shoes, but I did see a lot that would look great on my feet and in my closet.
A young lady assisted me with finding my size, but pretty much what's on the sales floor, is what they have in store. I found a super cute pair, but not in the color I wanted - a nude. She apologized and suggested I check back another day in hopes I may find something else.
There was another sales girl whom I her behavior to be very odd. I noticed that she kept looking at me, and no, I didn't know her or find her familiar. I walked around the store and noticed that she would kinda follow me, all while having that feeling of her just staring at me. I felt very uncomfortable and decided to dig at that point. My BF was checking out a few pairs of shoes for work and we both agreed that we would definitely be back in the near future. Hopefully creepy sales girl isn't there. read more
