When I go to the movies at Windward Mall on Tuesdays (when it's $6 per ticket at Regal Theater), I pass by this store and notice that it has NFL (National Football League) items. Island Sportswear is located on the upper level of Windward Mall, between Regal Theater and Glow Putt. The name of the shop is misleading. It doesn't have Aloha shirts nor muumuus. Instead, it provides customers with quality NFL Team gear. Are you a Cowboys or Rams fan? How about them 49ers and the Steelers? What about the Patriots and the Vikings? Some of my coworkers are loyal to the Seahawks. They wear their jerseys on game day to work and are very proud. I wonder if they got their attire from Island Sportswear? The location is so convenient and accessible! Besides t-shirts, sweatshirts, and collared shirts, Island Sportswear has koozies, flags, lanyards, key rings, blankets, caps, pop sockets, and even earrings! Wow! I'm ready to gift a lot of this merchandise to my family and friends! This store makes shopping so easy! Everything is organized well and displayed neatly!

As Philadelphia native, this store has brought back some nostalgia of my days in PA with the pieces they carry. Also really nice to be able to watch the games on the two tv screens in store. 10/10 I always recommend this store!

The place is catered to those who are savvy in the world of weight training but as I've seen while I was there, there was another customer that was just looking for something to curb their appetite and the employee there was very helpful and encouraging. Some people may be off-put by the staff and clientele simply because they're "fitness people" but what that's what the place is all about. I mean most of the people who frequent stores like this know what they want and are avid weight lifters so naturally, a lot of "in shape" people will be in there. Fitting room employees are always friendly and helpful. Gap is one of the store you won't see employees gossiping. They're always on the go and busy working. Way to go! It's all about professionalism. I appreciate that when I see it. I also love their clothing line. It's simple and easy as I like it. I don't need nothing glamorous or fancy. For a brief moment I enjoyed joining a 5K and 10K walks/runs and with that I had no idea what type of shoes is for me as many recommend what is the best somehow it jut never really worked for me though the stability and comfort is what many brands to encourage they have my feet just says differently. There are moments when packet pick ups was here at the Running Room and with that I always somehow never leave without purchasing something as they just have so many items besides shoes and socks and the perfect location on Kapahulu with free parking does make it an easy place to shop as well and on this sad to hear of its closure did take me by surprise so I just had to pay them a visit and I guess many have known about it as basically majority of their inventory has already been sold. Luckily for my larger sized feet there was my size left though the color situation was sparse understandably I did find one that looked promising and decided to get my very first pair of Hoka. I haven't treated myself to a brand new shoe in years so it felt like a cloud but being cautious since my legs hurt the next day. Not exactly sure when their last will be but glad to have given them one final visit and hope that the future will grand for this part of Kapahulu. Thank you!
