As soon as we entered the store, the cashier to our greeted us. This is nice. :) We asked the staff where to find the kneed pads and he directed us to go upstairs to the right. He told us that we could also try them on. This is great as we didn't know what size to buy. Later we learned his name is Matt. We came for one thing only but decided to walk around and see what else they have. They sell a a lot of cool's gadgets from fishing, bicycles, shoes, scuba gear, and almost all the sports equipment needed from football, soccer and just so much more. We couldn't stay too long as we needed to meet someone but we'll definitely come back. I know we could have bought the knee pad someplace else but it's always good to remember to support local businesses first. This place made 100 years last year! Amazing, right?! There's free parking in the back of the store. The parking above is getting renovated. Thank you for reading my review. Have a great weekend.

We came in (make sure you check in your bags). They have everything from soccer gear, bike, swim, fishing, running, pickleball and basketball. Great stop all that you need

AMAZING! CONGRATULATIONS for your 100th year in business!

I wanna give a big shout out, and CONGRATULATIONS to McCully Bicycle & Sporting Goods for their 100th year in business! All I can say to that is - Aaaaaaaaamazing!!! Through the years I've come to McCully Bicycle & Sporting Goods numberous times to buy my share of sports gear. In the past, I've purchased several bicycles from McCully Bike when I used to ride a bicycle to school in my freshman & sophomore years in college, as well as when I used to do those Century Ride bike rides in the summer. I bought basketballs/baseball/softball gear when I played organized team sports. Good ol' McCully Bike was also my source for tennis racquets, and I also use to bring my racquets here to have them strung up. When I needed athletic shoes, McCully Bicycle & Sporting Goods was my "goto place" I'd look for DEALAGES, as they used to carry an array of athletic shoes. I remembered a time when the first Nike Air Jordan's came out and I bought two pairs of those shoes at a discounted close out sale price and how I wished I still had those shoes now, as it would be worth a fortune!!! I have to admit, in recent years I haven't been coming to McCully Bicycle & Sporting Goods as often, probably due to the internet where I can purchase things online & have it delivered directly to my house, as well as age, as I no longer ride bicycles, get on a tennis court, or play organized sports. A few things have changed since I last came to McCully Bicycle & Sporting Goods, as I noticed they no longer carry tennis racquets or string racquets anymore, nor did I see that large sunglasses display that they used to have here. As for the bicycles, you don't have to worry about that as they still carry an array of bicycles here. Into fishing??? McCully Bike should be your source in getting fishing/diving gear! Why did I come here??? After reading an article from the Star Advertiser newspaper about this locally owned business, they talked about how this business got started back in Waipahu in 1923, and how the generations of decendants from the Takayesu ohana who pitched in to help run the business to keep the legacy of Giyei Takayesu alive, After reading that newspaper article, I was compelled to come back here to buy a McCully Bicycle & Sporting Goods 100th anniversary t-shirt. :D Mission accomplished! I am now a proud owner of a light brown, men's XL, 100th anniversary edition t-shirt from McCully Bicycle and Sporting Goods. Lol!!!!

At the time of purchase the salesperson said TNF has a lifetime warranty on their product and I appreciated the heads up. I take good care of my jackets and today I wore it for protection from the heavy rain. When I got home I noticed the inside lining of the hood was peeling. Other than that the jacket was in mint condition. Non fading, no tears, all zippers were in good working order. Fortunately, I still had the receipt so I went to the TNF store at Ala Moana Shopping Center to see what can be done. Salesperson 969009 assisted me with my issue with the jacket and after answering a few questions he then inspected the jacket and agreed it was well taken care of and in good condition. I filled out a form and to my surprise I received a full refund in a gift card. Not prorated but a full refund! I immediately looked around the floor and found another light jacket to my liking and purchased it from the store. Just want to say the salesperson (unfortunately I didn't get his name) was very helpful, professional and very knowledgeable. If I still worked as a store manager for Nordstrom I would have recruited him immediately.

The staff is always welcoming and checking in on everyone to see if you have questions or needs. A few years before COVID, I purchased a combo weather jacket that was on sale and had a water resistant shell with a fleece inner jacket. Years passed and on one of my trips after COVID I noticed I was shedding these white particles whenever I took my jacket off. Come to find out, the water resistant lining on the inside of the shell was coming off. Feeling I got a bum jacket, and assuming that's why the jacket was on sale, I started thinking of what I could get to replace this one. Fast forward to 2024, I was wondering inside the store, 'just looking' and an employee kindly asked if I needed help. She reminded me of my jacket that the liner was coming off so I asked her about that and if they could reapply the liner. She said, "Sure, we can take a look at that." She was leading to that all their jackets have a lifetime warranty so if anything goes wrong, bring the jacket to them and they will send to service for free! If they cannot repair the jacket, they will give you a gift card in the price of the jacket for you to purchase a current model or something else to your liking. Before this day, I had no clue of the lifetime warranty lol. Ended up buying a Gortex shell in the meantime while I sent my old jacket for service. Had to send both the shell and inner jacket for service and in about 3 weeks later I got an email from their service dept stating they couldn't repair the lining and will be issuing me a gift card in the price of what I paid. With that gc, I picked up a new inner fleece and a puffer vest. For that Autumn 2024 trip, I was wearing warm, updated gear and couldn't have felt more reassured that I spent those hundreds of dollars in the right spot. Today, Black Friday of 2025, I had $20 from my Xplorer Membership and the store was offering 30% off for their Black Friday sale. I was in the store on Tuesday, and was eyeing a beanie and new gloves I needed for my next trip. Came in today and got to stack my $20 and get the 30% off my purchases. On top of this, the employee wished me Happy Holidays... love this time of the year. Forever a happy North Face customer... till my next adventure, Grind On, Pau!

So since I found out I was pregnant, I got so excited just thinking about all the baby gear that we would need/get. And with that, I have been spending a lot of time at Nordstrom buying, returning, reviewing, thinking, etc. which means I have interacted with a plethora of their staff in the BABY DEPARTMENT. I forget their names, but I added a photo to my review with all the employees that I've had an amazing interaction with. But, there was one employee who I had NO INTERACTION with, and you would think "why am I talking about her?" Well it's because I really needed to speak to an employee this one evening since I had questions about the next carseat we should get. It was a week night, my husband and I were walking around, we didn't have our son, and we were the only customers in the whole baby section. I saw this one employee walking around the area, and she didn't acknowledge me, not even once. I know I probably sound like a Karen, but I couldn't get her attention either! And we did get within five feet of each other a handful of time, so I don't know if she was ignoring me or didn't hear me, I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. But overall, very happy with the service in the baby department, they're the reason I keep going back. Also, shoutout to JEN THE INTERIM MANAGER. I know she's the interim manager because she identified herself on a phone call to customer service. I went in today because I couldn't find where the funds for my return went and I really appreciate that Jen made me feel seen and that my concerns were heard. She did an amazing job at following up with me and really gave great service. It's employees like this, and the amount of local products that Nordstrom has that constantly makes me come back.

The shirt is brand new with tags, but it's too big and not my style. I came in simply asking for store credit or an exchange so I could purchase something else--NOT a refund. Despite explaining the situation, I was refused help completely. The associate in jewelry wouldn't assist, and when I asked for a manager, "Josh" came over already seeming dismissive. There was no effort to help, no attempt to verify the item (even though the exact shirt is currently sold in-store), and no empathy whatsoever. What made it worse was how I was treated. The tone felt cold and dismissive, and I left feeling embarrassed and honestly singled out. I've personally seen other customers receive store credit without receipts, so the inconsistency was hard to ignore. Nordstrom has a reputation for great customer service, but that was not my experience at all. This wasn't just about a return--it was about a meaningful gift from someone I just lost. I hope this location takes a serious look at how situations like this are handled, because this experience completely changed how I view the brand.

"Keep your sense of humor. There's enough stress in your life not to let bad shots ruin a game…read moreyou're supposed to enjoy." - Amy Alcott, LPGA Hall of Famer We've passed the Travis Mathew lifestyle and golf apparel store at the Ala Moana Center many times since its opening in late February and chuckled at their catchy quote sign. I've known about the stylish California-inspired Travis Mathew men's golf wear for several years, and my current favorite PGA play, John Rahm, wears this brand while on tour. During several passes, I have urged my husband to go in to browse and upgrade his golf wardrobe as he has insisted that I do the same. My husband hadn't gone in to try on the performance polo shirt that he had seen while window shopping, so I took it upon myself to scope out the performance wear and inquire about Travis Mathew's upcoming women's golf apparel line. Walking in, the two employees, who were toward the back of the store unpacking inventory, greeted me with smiles and Aloha. I let them know that I came in to browse for my husband and asked about the arrival of the upcoming women's sportswear. They said the women's line was delayed but should be coming into their inventory in about two weeks, or hopefully, earlier. Just then, my eyes caught sight of the DAD BOD mannequin, and I burst into laughter. My Yelp Friend from Palos Verdes, Chris G, had pointed this mannequin out while visiting his local Travis Mathew store recently. However, because my husband and I hadn't gone far back enough into our Ala Moana store, this was my first time seeing the local version. The male sales representative said the mannequin is quite the conversation piece, and he, although much younger than me, said he's on his way to looking like that even though he's not yet married. Um, I didn't think he's even close to looking like that! Besides, my husband and I took up golf before Tiger Woods came onto the golf scene, and it seemed that most male golfers, amateur and professional, looked like that mannequin. Anyway, we chatted a bit about golf as I browsed and never felt rushed or smothered by this sales representative. The female employee was assisting another customer near the fitting rooms and later joined into the discussion on aging "gracefully" and maintaining fitness to improve your quality of life. We all agreed that playing golf, no matter what skill level you have, is a sport that one can play and enjoy until one's later years. They understood that golf challenges one's mental acuity while not requiring muscle-bound (but fitness, flexibility, and proper techniques are keys). Yes, golfing is paradoxical, and we agreed that accuracy and touch are better than power. Heehee, but, yeah, having strength and agility could be more fun to watch, eh? As more customers came into the store, I quietly stepped to the side to not bother the sales representative with more frivolity; after all, they're working. As I continued to browse, I thought my husband would enjoy the casual apparel for on and off the course and vowed to return when the women's line is released. We'll be back to upgrade our golf attire because my husband teases me about looking too much like a gardener or hiker when we golf.
