    Outdoor shoes

I went here recently for the first time to buy a pair of hiking shoes to go hiking in. I walked in and was greeted by a girl (who I think is the owners daughter) next second I heard a guy greeting me then after I was greeted by their dog. A big and super cool white poodle. I said I came here for some shoes and the girl assisted me by showing me where they are. I got a pair of salomons. They have a nice selection of that brand too. She asked me if I wanted to try on any other shoes. Paused for a long time staring at the other shoes then I told her no because I probably would be debating to buy a second pair of salomons. I wore it that weekend while I did a hike and I absolutely love it! It's comfortable and durable. I am not a guy who is into collecting sneakers or shoes but I will be looking forward to returning here to buy another pair of salomons. Btw previous to this I went to famous footwear and the sales guy told me about this place. Shout out to the guy at famous footwear for telling me of this place. Whether your a runner, cross training or you want to gear up for camping Uloha has everything and I mean everything for your adventurous and outdoor needs. I will recommend this store to anyone

    No slipping on muddy trails!

Picked up a new pair of hiking shoes today after being SO tired of getting blisters in my other shoes. I was skeptical of putting such an investment into a pair of shoes, but if you're like me and hesitant JUST DO IT! The staff at Uloha were able to help me narrow down what I needed in a matter of minutes, and I was able to get in & out within 20 minutes to go do my inaugural run with my new shoes. These were like walking on clouds! So comfortable and supportive! The grip on them was outstanding, and it gave me so much confidence on the very muddy trail. No more slipping! I chose the waterproof version, and this was worth it! Hiked through small streams with completely dry feet the entire time. Worth every penny!! Will definitely be returning here for more in the future!

This store is located on Ward Ave. they have a lot of outdoor stuffs like backpack, shoes, camping chair, dry bags, camping equipment, climbing equipment, they got it all. Staffs are very friendly and offer a lot of help while we were shopping there. After Sport Authority closed, we have not much place to go to try on hiking shoes. They have a very small parking that they share with another restaurant, highly recommended.

Looking for a place to " try on" a few Osprey backpacks to see which one works for what I need and what fits best and found this place listed on the Osprey website. You walk in and there's a cute tent set up with camping mattresses and other camping supplies. The place has a nice feel. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable they showed me multiple packs and the differences between them without being pushy. They made my Mom feel comfortable enough that she tried on a pack and loved it- she had on,y come along to keep me company. There's a climbing store in the back. Lots of supplies of all sorts and good to know this place exists, especially without sporting stores on island

Aloha Uloha! Are you into hiking/mountaineering/camping/trekking? Looking for some stuffs for it? This local outdoor place is right for you buddy! ~ It's funny that Oahu itself has a lot of hiking spots but only few few stores are available to choose for your gears. Yes we got North Face but they focus too much on apparels. Hikers like us need stores that will roughly focus direct on gears...from bags to cooking gears and etc. Thank God for this store! It saves the days that we we're looking for our additional gears. ~ We got our leki trekking poles from here & some other stuffs. We love the store. They may not have the complete equipments/gears that varies, but their selection is pretty good. The staffs were so helpful and knowledgeable. Price is reasonable, depending on the items you need from here though. Just be acquaint on the items that you really need to purchase in here & also their return exchange policy, coz you may stuck on something you purchased that you don't like later. Anyways, recommended this place & also don't get yourself too excited. Hehehe. ~ Mahalo & HAPPY JUANDERING fellow yelpers!

I'd give them a 5 star for service but a 2 star for not having more speciality brands for trail running shoes.

And we have a store here in Hawaii too--located along Ward Ave between Waimanu and Kawaiahao Street with plenty of unshaded parking. The inside is very open, clean, cool, and comfortable. Everything was quite organized and each section was spacious. The first time I came here I couldn't really understand how most of the clothes aren't even for Hawaii weather..... or Hawaii pockets.... unless you travel to many places to do winter sports and activities. Funny enough, I received a gift card for Pantagonia shortly after my first visit. Now that I need to actually buy something. I focused on the casual, running/training, ocean activity areas. Needless to say, everything was quite expensive in my opinion. The quality is there and the clothes do feel similar to other brands. Is it worth THAT much though? My co-worker says this place is like the Lululemon for outdoors. Sounds about right. Overall, this store was really nice, cool, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Everything really organized. It's quite niche. I guess if I need some ice climbing gear, I'll know where to go. Eventually I got a pair of shorts. Regular price is $135. Thankful for the gift card cause I'm not on THAT level...yet.

Selection was slightly bigger here if you were looking for location specific stuff (Honolulu and Hawaii merch). It's also much bigger as well. Staff was super friendly as far as giving us advice on on sizing and pull sizes in the back. We left with 5 or 6 more shirts from here so to us, it's definitely worth checking out if you're big on location specific stuff.

Talk about a company that backs up their product it's The North Face…read more I purchased an all proof stretch jacket (water proof) April 15, 2021. At the time of purchase the salesperson said TNF has a lifetime warranty on their product and I appreciated the heads up. I take good care of my jackets and today I wore it for protection from the heavy rain. When I got home I noticed the inside lining of the hood was peeling. Other than that the jacket was in mint condition. Non fading, no tears, all zippers were in good working order. Fortunately, I still had the receipt so I went to the TNF store at Ala Moana Shopping Center to see what can be done. Salesperson 969009 assisted me with my issue with the jacket and after answering a few questions he then inspected the jacket and agreed it was well taken care of and in good condition. I filled out a form and to my surprise I received a full refund in a gift card. Not prorated but a full refund! I immediately looked around the floor and found another light jacket to my liking and purchased it from the store. Just want to say the salesperson (unfortunately I didn't get his name) was very helpful, professional and very knowledgeable. If I still worked as a store manager for Nordstrom I would have recruited him immediately.

The staff is always welcoming and checking in on everyone to see if you have questions or needs. A few years before COVID, I purchased a combo weather jacket that was on sale and had a water resistant shell with a fleece inner jacket. Years passed and on one of my trips after COVID I noticed I was shedding these white particles whenever I took my jacket off. Come to find out, the water resistant lining on the inside of the shell was coming off. Feeling I got a bum jacket, and assuming that's why the jacket was on sale, I started thinking of what I could get to replace this one. Fast forward to 2024, I was wondering inside the store, 'just looking' and an employee kindly asked if I needed help. She reminded me of my jacket that the liner was coming off so I asked her about that and if they could reapply the liner. She said, "Sure, we can take a look at that." She was leading to that all their jackets have a lifetime warranty so if anything goes wrong, bring the jacket to them and they will send to service for free! If they cannot repair the jacket, they will give you a gift card in the price of the jacket for you to purchase a current model or something else to your liking. Before this day, I had no clue of the lifetime warranty lol. Ended up buying a Gortex shell in the meantime while I sent my old jacket for service. Had to send both the shell and inner jacket for service and in about 3 weeks later I got an email from their service dept stating they couldn't repair the lining and will be issuing me a gift card in the price of what I paid. With that gc, I picked up a new inner fleece and a puffer vest. For that Autumn 2024 trip, I was wearing warm, updated gear and couldn't have felt more reassured that I spent those hundreds of dollars in the right spot. Today, Black Friday of 2025, I had $20 from my Xplorer Membership and the store was offering 30% off for their Black Friday sale. I was in the store on Tuesday, and was eyeing a beanie and new gloves I needed for my next trip. Came in today and got to stack my $20 and get the 30% off my purchases. On top of this, the employee wished me Happy Holidays... love this time of the year. Forever a happy North Face customer... till my next adventure, Grind On, Pau!
