Voodoo Rada steel frame bike fit complete
    Paiea Paul N.

Brought my new Voodoo Rada road bike in to get professionally fitted. Darren Broome was expert in getting my measurements and plumb bob cycle motion on the trainer. In addition he somehow got my shoe cleats bolts loose and realigned the cleat which fixed my "hot foot" issues. I am most appreciative and applaud the Boca staff. Note to Ray B, the fork might be a Look model, I need to confirm. Much thanks and Aloha!

In this Covid-19 times I'm so glad to see that you still can get Great service at a Great price. I've always seen the BOCA Hawai'i building as I past by, it's hard to miss with all those bikes parked out in front. I thought to myself, I've got to check out this place, but I'm not a triathlon guy and assumed that BOCA only catered to triathlon athletes. I was wrong as they hold Spin and Triathlon classes, sell and repair bikes, also will bike fit anyone regardless if you purchased it from them or not. I was super impressed by the amount of inventory packed into this small shop. I think they actually have just about everything one would need for a bike. Even more than the other bike shops as far as accessories and wear. Recently I picked up another road bike and decided this time I'm going to do it right and get fitted correctly. If you ever got fitted you know that you can pay upwards to $250+. I emailed Raul over a month back to get a price for a fitting for my other bike and he responded with terrific prices ($40-$100).Prices vary on how advance the fitting gets. So with this new ride it was a no brainer to go with him. It's as easy as calling or emailing him for a appointment. Nervously rode down to the store for my appointment because I never had someone fit me. I've always did the basic measurements by myself and never thought anything about it, but there is a difference when you have it done correctly. Your body alignment, legs and arm reach get set up as it should be when riding and the chances of injuries are decreased. Raul reminded me to bring your helmet and shoes. The Cold AC it felt so good while riding my bike that they set up on the trainer. Raul (Owner) was so friendly and personable it really made me relax and enjoy getting fitted. He did some Seat height, positioning, handle bar angle, shoe cleat position to get the right peddling strokes and other small adjustments to get everything running smoothly. Like Raul said, every millimeter makes a difference. I love the feel of my bike after the fitting, looking forward to get some miles in. I highly recommend that you get a bike fit for your ride to avoid injuries and to get the maximum potential out of it. Check them out, you'll be surprised what they carry, it's not a shop strictly for Triathlon Athletes, but for the everyday rider, swimmer and runner.

This is the shoes I purchased.

I bought a slipper as well. The owner gave the best service, even a discount to help meet close to the online price. I appreciate the discount and the service. Will recommend this place! "Deanna Ramos-Kia Tupua " Safety Professional

We bought his and hers road bikes from Boca yesterday. It wasn't an impulse buy... my boyfriend and I looked at 3 bike shops: this place, Bikeworks and McCullys. He went to one more bike shop the day prior... We ended back at Boca at the end of taking everything into consideration. Everything about Boca screams bike enthusiast and knowledgeability. Ray was the first guy who helped us-- he was actually behind the counter fixing a bike and he didn't try to sell us on anything - he listened to what my boyfriend wanted (beginner road bike to work out on mainly to go up and down Tantalus). During the test ride, he watched and answered questions. We even left him saying we were going to shop around and he didn't try any sales tactics (nice)! Well, we came back! And my boyfriend decided well, I should get a bike too so we can work out together (so sweet). Sure I like Raul and Hina (I'm assuming the owners of the shop) but Ray is the star of the shop (in my humble opinion). He told us he has been riding for almost 29 years - love it when someone who is an enthusiast is at a shop that is not an aggressive salesperson. An hour later, we took our bikes and rode from home up Tantalus and back down! Highly recommend Boca & go see Ray!

Picked up a nice Fuji Aloha 1.0 consignment bike from Boca which they even told me that it was a awesome deal for the bike as the bike goes for about $1800 new the bike was so light about 18lbs but that's another story... The guys at Boca were very helpful and made sure everything was all set for me to go with my awesome new (to me) bike, I'm sure I'll be back if I need parts or service for my bike since they are the dealers for Fuji bikes.

I will revise this photo after I get to the top of mountain!

Friendly staff. Their inventory was perfect. I went there to find a bike shirt and they had just enough great choices to select from.

It's not easy to find rental road bikes, let alone carbon fiber models. The Specialized Tarmac I rented was the best rental bike I've ever rented. The only down side is that I fell in love with it and now I want to buy one! I will definitely rent from The Bike Shop any time I'm in Honolulu!

After a few back and forward discussion, the work order was set, they quoted me a price and they will call me when my bike is done. 3 hours later, when I went to pick up my bike, the technician told me with this new cassette, while I'm riding, I cannot change to certain gear, and if I do so, my derailleur will break on the road. I was like - why no one told me about that before I do the modification? He said he did not know it will not work either, 95% of the time, this set up with work, just that it will not work on my bike. So, end up, he has to put back my old cassette. At lease he was honor about it and do not just let me walk off with my new setting and risk breaking my derailleur on the road. At the end, he did not change me for that cassette work. I appreciate his honesty and workmanship. To be honest, the shop looks a bit old inside but they seems to have a lots of bike parts and accessory inside the store.

I…read moreknow nothing about bikes but I was hoping to get some knowledge before jumping in and buying bicycles for my kids. Walked in the door, and surprised when I wasn't ignored. Even if the greeting was behind the desk, that was still nice that someone acknowledged my existence. Then, out comes someone different. His name was Alex and he was so nice and friendly. He told me all about the differences between bikes and what I should look for when choosing the right bike for my kids. Told me the interesting fact about why girl bike frames used to be different and now it doesn't really matter. Just incredibly patient and he never made me feel like I was an inconvenience or a waste of time because I wasn't looking to buy... right now. Alex was extremely knowledgeable and his ability to make me feel comfortable in a setting that I wasn't, was a pleasant surprise. He told me all the things that the bike factory could assist with if we did purchase a bike such as changing the tires, brake pads, etc. which even if we are not avid bikers, was still great information. I would hope that if and when I go back again, I get Alex to help out. He was awesome.

I'm not one to come on yelp to give bad reviews, but this was just a terrible experience. Sorry…read moreabout it. Bike factory has the worst customer service and on top of that Stacyc is rip offs! Long story short, but we bought 4 brand new Stacyc bikes for my children for Christmas, go to plug in the batteries to charge my son's 18 inch bike which cost me mind you $1800. The battery was not working. So I couldn't even give my son his Christmas gift on Christmas because the battery was not charging. I had to wait for after Christmas until they opened the following day to go and replace the battery and they still wanted me to place it under warranty, which that would've taken weeks to get replaced and if I hadn't give. my opinion on it that I just bought the bike. This is not my fault that the battery does not work and I want a battery today. They are responsible for checking to make sure the battery and bike is working when we leave out the door cause they do have a policy once you buy the bike and leave the store. It is nonrefundable. So I said I will not leave without a brand new battery for my son's brand new bike that was supposed to be a Christmas gift so that was already terrible news to my son! Then my daughter's smaller 12 inch bike. They ride it through the dirt got some mud on it and it started to smoke and then they wanna claim that the mud had ruined the motor which I highly doubt it because the mud was just on the frame and the tires, but because of the mud on the bike, they wanna claim the mud has ruined the motor and want me to pay out-of-pocket which I had just purchased the bike for Christmas and it was still technically under the 90 day warranty! But they called and said it's not covered, right on Stacyc! Will never be buying that brand of bike probably any brand of Bike from Bike factory again! ! !
