I wanted to exchange a pair of golf shoes that I had ordered thru the app, and according to Google, the Ala Moana store had them in stock, so I went there rather than making the drive to their outlet store in Waikele. They were fairly busy, even on a rainy Sunday, so I had to wait for a bit. I looked around the store, which was fairly small, and didn't see any golf shoes. When I finally got some help from a clerk, I was informed that they had sent all their golf stock to Maui, and didn't have any available. They were very helpful in taking my shoes in for a refund, and then let me know that the Waikele location has lots of golf shoes in stock, so I'll head over there later to pick up a replacement pair. read more

04/19/25 OMG! I couldn't believe what a 1000% improvement at Skechers today! Sales associates were assisting customers, the store was hopping with activity. I went to return a pair I bought online. Fortunately for me Jayden was in the cash wrap to assist me. He very professionally and politely handled my return. When he was done, he continued to assist me with finding shoes. He gave me info and suggestions and there was no hesitation in allowing me to try on various styles. I wish I had. Better feet because I feel really bad when the shoes don't fit but I'm determined to find the right shoe. I found out Brent is the young manager who is getting the crew moving. He was also very professional and took the time to mention that they were having some nice promotions, 20% off lots of things besides the shoes, great value. Skechers has a really HUGE and stylish selection... many performance as well as fashion shoes... and clothes. I've been told by my pickle ball friend that they have great pickleball shoes! Purchased a pair of arch support sandals here. Loved the bling on the sandals! I have purchased other Skechers footwear and this is the first time I was disappointed. It cost $55 retail. Fortunately, my walking buddy purchased a pair of shoes and let me use the 2nd pair 30% off promotion. Within a couple hours of wearing the new sandals, I developed painful blisters exactly where the arch support are located on the sandals. It was so painful that I needed to buy a wrap bandage at CVS. It didn't help very much. I returned it four days later for another non arch support type sandal. We will see how this replacement sandal feels. The store appears well stocked. Not many customers at the time of my visit. Employee Kellyn was helpful and assisted with my purchase. You are given a cool reusable backpack with your purchase. Been needing to get a new pair of athletic shoes and was recommended by my doctor to check out Skechers. Went last weekend for the first time and they had a sale. The prices of the shoes were so reasonable compared to Footlocker. They had a good selection of shoes and cute sandals and slippers. While looking around, I was approached by Sophia who was so friendly, professional, and since it was my first time in the store she was very patient and helpful with finding the best shoes for what I needed. By the time I was done and ready to check out, I walked out with 2 pairs of shoes and 2 packs of socks. The total that I landed up paying for 4 items would've been the price of just 1 Nike shoe. Zero Stars On February 1, 2026, at around 2:00 PM, I walked into the Skechers shoe store to purchase a new pair of shoes. I waited approximately 2-3 minutes before approaching the counter. There were about three other customers in the store, and none of us were being helped. At the counter were two male and two female employees, all standing together, smiling and chatting as if the store were empty. They appeared far more interested in talking amongst themselves than assisting customers. I walked closer and asked if someone could help me with shoe selection. The employees paused, looked at each other with smirks, and then one male employee walked toward another customer while another approached me. The employee who helped me was a white male with glasses. His attitude was rude, childish, and unprofessional, and he seemed in a hurry to get rid of me rather than assist. I told him I was looking for extra-wide slip-on shoes. He quickly pointed at a section without offering to measure my feet. When I asked if he could measure them, he grabbed the children's measuring device, said it was too small, then grabbed the adult one -- but never actually assisted in measuring my feet. When I asked for his name, he said "Jim" or "James," then abruptly stated he needed to help another customer and walked away. I later found him back behind the counter joking with the two female employees. When I reminded him that he said he was going to help another customer, his response was, "I'm on my way now." At that point, I told him I would be leaving a bad review and suggested that if he wasn't interested in helping customers, he shouldn't be working there. I then walked out. This was one of the most unprofessional and dismissive retail experiences I've had. Poor customer service, lack of basic courtesy, and employees more interested in socializing than doing their jobs. On two occasions so far, I went to Ala Moana on a Sunday to visit the Skechers store, which shows online that they open at 10:00 a.m. I wanted to see their selection, as I am looking to purchase a new pair of shoes. The store was closed both times. At 10:00 am, it was dark inside and I could not see anyone inside setting up. There were other people waiting outside, and they were asking if they open at 10:00 a.m. I waited a few minutes, then decided not to waste my time since I was not sure when they would open. I did not see any sign stating the hours, so if they do open after 10:00 a.m., they should update their info online and post their hours on the door as is reasonable for businesses to do. As most of the shops at the mall open at 10:00 a.m., it is not much to expect their hours would match the opening times of other shops there. Since I was unable to visit the store and shop inside, I cannot attest to the service, selection, or value. The fact that this has happened to me before is a definite stay away from me. On this #ThankYouThursday, I declare my humble gratitude to Skechers Ala Moana. My mom gifted me with many things in life-- on the top of the notable list is a zest for food and travel. On the bottom of the list: bunions. Sigh... Although I may be less appreciative of the bunions part, I have been taught to "no grumble, be humble". However, it's become more difficult to believe that after birthing two boys and carrying them around like baby orangutans for the majority of their existence. End result? I've become slightly flat footed and my bunions have gone from barely noticeable to a nagging pain. My podiatrist recommended shoes with three factors: arch support, elevation, and a rocking motion when walking. My quest was on... Conrad from Skechers Ala Moana was extremely helpful and friendly from the get go! I was narrowing it down between Skechers Work Sure Track and their Archfit line. Work Sure has mind-blowing traction so less likely to slip. Archfit was designed by podiatrists for comfort and support using data from over 30 years. It was a no brainer. The Archfit is perfect for me. The elevated heel and rocking motion allowed my foot to walk with minimal pressure on my bunion. The arch support was like little pillows for my flat-footed stumps. If my feet could cry happy tears, they would! Jenny was so cool-- she brought out many different styles, sizes and colors for me to find the perfect fit. For $85, I found my dream pair of shoes. Love the Skechers customer service ! My son went to replace his Skechers work shoes that got worn out. He was able to find the exact replacements and the salesperson informed him of the discount that they offer to employees of certain companies when their employees purchase work-related footwear from Skechers. On top of that, the salesperson offered him an extra discount for new member signup. It was a whopping total discount of $33.30 ! He was efficient , courteous, and knowledgeable. Many folks weee trying on several pairs of shoes each. I tried on at least 5 pairs. He was able to find the size I wanted very quickly. Eventually another store staff came on duty. (I didn't get his name) he was the one who checked me out. I bought one pair of shoes, and 2 pairs of leggings. Without being asked, he applied a 10% senior discount to my order. I like that!! I was impressed with the selection, the service, and the value. My daughter got me a pair of slip in Skechers to use after my hip replacement in February. They have become my go-to shoes for every day use. I have an upcoming vacation and went to this retail store at the mall on a Saturday morning to get a new pair for my trip. The store had another customer, a couple and 3 young male sales associates. One was ringing up a sale for the couple. The other 2 were walking around appearing bored and disinterested. No greeting from any of the 3. I stood there looking directly at all of them, until I finally after about 5 mins had to make my presence known. It is so upsetting to even describe my interaction with the young man who I finally talked with. He was so uninterested in making a sale and helping me. In a nutshell, I left the store, even after trying on a pair of shoes and the possibility that another pair could work. This is the first shoe store I have been to, that once they know your size and what you want, they don't bring or suggest other options. Bad customer service and bad attitude. Clearly no manager was around. I was telling my cousin, my experience and she suggested I go to the Skechers Outlet store. I drove out there today, what a world of difference. Friendly, very helpful sales associates and a large inventory of shoes. I ended up buying 2 pairs. Why is it that the retail store at the mall is substandard in customer service and the store at the outlet mall exceptional? I don't get it! We have 10 year old twin girls who seem to be growing out of their clothes and shoes faster than we can replace them. About a week ago, I noticed that their shoes were getting too small - again, which meant it was time to go shoe shopping - again. Our first choice for new shoes was Sketchers because many of their styles slip on and don't require tying shoe laces. Convenient? Lazy? Both? Yes, yes and yes. We also like going to Sketchers because they're located in the mall (Ala Moana Shopping Center) which means lots of parking. It also means there are a number of other things to do when you're done shoe shopping, if you're so inclined. Good selection of youth sizes/styles. We were able to find a pair on sale for $20!!! Staff was pleasant and helpful. Regarding COVID (because it's part of our new reality), many stores at the mall have an employee stationed at the door to limit the number of customers inside. I did not recall seeing that here. There were maybe 10-12 customers inside at the time we were there. Other than mask wearing, not sure if they have any other safety protocols in place. read more

I first went to Famous Footwear on the street level and left (because of bad service) to come to this Skechers store. Big selection of slip ons and all types of walking shoes. The staff was excellent and we were helped by a slender, young gentleman with glasses. Super helpful and he brought out almost 10 pairs of shoes to try. He made sure the fit was just right and didn't have a problem with walking to the back to get another size. We also took advantage of the buy one get one half off. Even though it was slightly more expensive than Famous Footwear, the selection and awesome service was worth the walk up. Give this place a try. read more

No greeting when I come in to the store and no one come to help until I ask for help. Then I saw the sign said 25%off selected sandal. So I asked which styles are 25% off. One of the young SA said he really doesn't know. So I asked how can I figure out which styles are selected items ? He didn't even answer. WTH?! What kind of customer service is that? If you are new to work at that brand and if you don't know your merchandise or promotion, at least ask manager or co-worker to find out. But he didn't even try to find out the answer to my question. Skechers renovated their store. This was the first time I went in after the renovation. It looks more "modern and hip". The shoes look more organized than the last time I remember. There were 4 workers on the floor and every one of them was helping someone. Thats a good sign! The staff is helpful when they are not crazy busy. When they are it can be challenging to get attention. I bought the shape up shoes for my mom because she was hinting about wanting one. Pulled the trigger and now she swears by it because she has bad knees and her feet seem to hurt her. When wearing it, she gets up from sitting and walking up and down stairs much easier. This is a post quarantine review, I went into the store after being inside for a long time, and was shocked how terrible the customer service was, the first time I went in when ala Moana first open again, the Skechers staffs were very quiet, very distance, no customer service, you need to ask them for the size and the fit and the story behind what show you want. I received no interactions with the staff, was very awkward silence while they were standing around talking to each other, they did ask if I needed a size or help, even after trying a pair they didn't ask how was the fit, or suggesting another size that comparable, their customer service went down hill real bad, you will lose a lot of customers, because I would rather try the shoe in store and buy online at a cheaper price. Work on your customer service cuz it's the time to building clientele especially when business is slow! read more

Pro tip: If you aren't in a hurry, try to come at a time when customer traffic is low if you want to get the best service. Never go when crowded, as the limited members on staff will leave you feeling rushed, or without adequate attention from staff. At most there are 2 ladies section and 2 mens section staff on the floor at all times, with a manager floating around. My experience was a night and day difference between going in during a weekend rush and going after lunch on a weekday. I went twice, once to survey the store and get some options and again a few days later to buy. Stand out service from Nick who walked me through the various styles. Above and beyond excellent customer service from Elima. We just got done shopping at hot topic to grab some Disney swag for our trip to disneyworld and my husband wanted to stop in to find some comfy shoes for the inevitable long lines. Normally I'd sway against it because it was 30 minutes til close and I really do not like being those last customers from my own previous retail work experience. But I gave in and we ended up looking around and Elima helped us immediately find some shoes that my husband loved the feel of (I've never seen him get so excited over shoes before lol). We were there til practically closing and still Elima was helpful, patient and optimistic in helping us find exactly what my husband wanted. In the end the shoes my husband really wanted the store did not carry in his size, sadly. Elima reassured us that she could look to see if any other stores carried it in his size or order it online for us. She found that the Waikiki store location had a pair and recommended us to go there before they closed, which we did and were able to even find me a pair. This was by far the best customer service experience I've ever had. I know I sound like I'm exaggerating but I normally expect every retailer to just say what they have to for a sale. I was interested in their arch fit slip on shoes; I thought I'd go in since they opened at 10 today. At first I was the only customer; the staff gave me a lukewarm greeting. I showed the guy working there what shoe I was interested in and what size I needed. He came back with one box and handed it to me. Then I asked about the slip on shoes with the arch fit. He came back with the shoe in a wide width; I said I'd try it on. He basically disappeared from that point and did one back to check on me. He was busy helping another customer. I had to ask one of the girls there for help; I said I could literally walk out of the wide width shoe and told her that as the shoe stretched I would it would be worse. She did offer to look for a half size smaller but came back to say they didn't have any in stock. To her credit she brought two other shoes which I didn't care for. She even offered to check another store to see if they had what I wanted, but I said I didn't want to have to drive to another location to get it. I asked the cashier to double check, he even didn't double check the deal with sales guy then he just told us "this is the price you pay or leave" with attitude. His name is David.
