They are always full when I pass by so I decided to stop by and see what the deal is. I looked at the prices and that was a catch! I got a spa pedicure for $17! The lady who did my nails was Van and she seemed nice at first but very persistent about me getting designs on my nails after I had said I didn't want any. Then she went on about getting my eyebrows waxed, I don't do wax on my face so no sell there. After that experience I just wanted her to be less of a salesperson and more of a friendly, more relaxing staff-nope. By the end, she was just short when she was putting my sandals on because I was helping out. After I had said thank you and tried to make sure she knew I was grateful for her work she was still rude to me. Why do that when I haven't paid for my stuff and given you your tip yet?!!! Needless to say her tip wasn't added to the final price since she wanted to act like I made her job difficult and I was the one that was in the wrong. There was no reason for her to act like she did no matter how decent you do your job-it was only a plain ole' pedicure nothing big, attitude gets the final say! In the end I don't think I'd want to go back there no matter how good the prices are. read more

I went to this place because it was convenient since it's inside the mall...But I was not too impressed. The color selection for non-gel colors was weak and the colors that they do have a cheap. I got a fill and a pedicure they were quick to get me a seat so that was good but the service was not. Yesterday I went to go get my nails done but realized I didn't have enough time for the gel manicure and the time that it will take to get one before a birthday baseball game I needed to go to. So I pay the five dollars for her to get the old gel off of my nails and I said I would be back the next day. Usually I pay 27 so 27 minus the 5 I paid I was looking to only pay 22. As I sat down and I got there they upped my price to $32 not including the five I had already paid yesterday. Never coming back. read more

I just left and I wish I had never walked in. The place was moderately clean but not at the level in which one would want from a nail salon. The foot tubs, from what I could tell, we're being washed with dial hand soap between each guest. After an incessant up sale attempt, my technician continued to tell me why I should have gone with a more expensive package. The spa chair had no power to it and her tools were not blatantly sterilized and fresh as I have seen at other places. Also, the polish collection was sub par with less than desirable brands. This place was horrible I came for my first time to have my acrylics removed and the nail tech ripped my nails up. Being that this is their profession you think she would have known how to remove them carefully. After she finished removing I told the tech I won't get a manicure after all I just want to let them air dry she still put oil and lotion on me and charged me $20! For what?! I should have only been charged the $8 to remove and they place still charged me $13 for BS service. I will never return to this place again nor recommend them. read more

I went in today for the normal mani/ pedi, and of course the color is always the hardest to pick but I went with 635 a deep red. Tina, who was doing my nails suggested to add something cute for Valentine's Day. So I went with it, not sure how it would look because I'm just not a girly girl lol but they turned out super cute and I love them! On July 3, 2011 around 4:15 pm today, I went into the Red Persimmon to get s mani/pedi. I was told to pick a color, and to put my name on list, which I did. After around 10 minutes of waiting, I was told to go to spa pedicure seat. The attendant drew the water for the pedi. She told me not to put my feet in spa. She left me and attended to her current client. In the meantime. Water was over flowing. I told attendant next to me that water needed to be turned off. She turned water off and told me to put my feet in tepid water. I had my feet in the water for 20 minutes. No attendant came to me. I got up and left as I felt I received poor customer service. There are other nail salons in the area that I like. If owner/manager of this establishment wants to contact me, please do so. read more

Friendly staff for the most part but the couple times I've been there they've rushed through me even though there was no wait. Their work is pretty average, nothing spectacular. Oh, and they won't let you add a tip when using your card (but they will charge you $1 for using it). read more

I just left from here after taking my boyfriend here to get him a pedicure and me a manicure--well this isn't my first pedi mani and when I tell you out 15 minute wait was longer than his pedicure I am not exaggerating. I went in on a Thursday and by Saturday I could see some lifting. The girl also didn't do a good job of filing the sides down. I went back the following Monday to see if they would fix the problem. They had me sit with the same girl and she proceeded to start filing around. I noticed she didn't remove the polish and within 5 mins she was done. She then started to repolish my nails with top coat. I stopped her and asked if that was all she was going to do which she then replied with "what else do you want?" I said they are lifting and they look the same. She then tried to tell me it's because I wash my hands too much and I can see that happening but not after two days! I thanked her for wasting my time and left. Never going back there again! By the way, the filing she did didn't even fix the problem. Ugh. read more

The first time I came here I had a terrible experience. After telling the woman who was doing my nails I wanted a regular pedicure, when it came time to pay, I got charged $38! I told her I asked for a regular pedicure, and she told me that if I wanted the cheapest one I had to say "regular regular" pedicure. Told myself I would never come here again. Decided to give it one more chance as I was in a rush and this is close to my house.. I got Kathy this time and she was awesome. Ask for Julia! Best gel nail job I've ever had.The only reason I'm not giving Red Persimmon a 5-star rating is that if you like a posh atmosphere with tons of massage, this isn't it. I was visiting in-laws and needed my polish changed out. Over two weeks in, and these gel nails look like I had them done yesterday. At the base of my nail they're not coming up at all or snagging on anything. Julia was very particular about every aspect of doing the nails. I've been coming here for years and can only think of 1 time I've been truly unhappy and that person didn't work here for very long. If I get my nails done, I see Kevin! As far as my pedicures, they all do a great job. They changed products and style of their packages a couple years ago, so if you want the cheap pedicure (which i get) then you need to know the old menu, OR know the price of what you're wanting. this type of industry requires you to upsale everything, so youre going to be asked if you want gel polish, a design, etc. And they WILL cost extra, as they would anywhere else. If you're not sure...you should probably ask if it will cost extra instead of stupidly thinking it's free. I think some people are just expecting the moon and stars, so I wouldn't pay too much attention to the negative reviews. read more

Well, I agree, convenient and friendly staff. I don't like that it is kind of dirty and the polishes are terrible- ghetto and bad quality. But, I could have dealt with that. HOWEVER, the last time I went, I was so grossed out. When I was done with my mani pedi, I noticed that both technicians simply wiped my skin off the tools and put them back into the 'clean' tool boxes in the rolly carts. I was so surprised, and thought for a minute that i was wrong. Til I watched others in the salon do the same thing. OMG. Really unfortunate and I hope I don't catch anything. Boy was this place a disappointment! My daughter and I wanted to have a special time getting our nails done together today. I called to see if they were available at 10:00 for both of us to get gel nails and a pedicure. They said yes they had openings to come on in. When we got there we had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes to be seen. They put us both with our feet in the water where we waited another 15-20 mins to be worked on. My gal started fingers, she had to remove the gel so she left me soaking my nails while she started someone's pedicure!!! What the heck! I asked if she was going to come back and finish me, where I was told someone else would be finishing me up and to keep my fingers soaking. I waited for another 20 minutes while the guy that was doing my daughters nails to finish and start my nails. Needless to say he was in a rush and didn't do a great job on her nails. Came over to me and rushed through my gel manicure. I mentioned to the manager that I was upset to be waiting so long with an appt and why did my girl go work on someone else and not tell me anything just left me sitting there with my nails soaking. He did apologize over and over and said that they were busy. I let him know when I called he should've told me they were busy and I would've came another time. Communication is the key! I went in for a gel manicure and to have a change of color on my toes. The gentleman rushed me and didn't even allow me to look at nail polish colors. He sat me and gave me the gel colors, and after reviewing them I wasn't much into the colors. I then said I would rather pass on the manicure and proceed with pedi. Today was my first time coming here. I went with my mom, who never goes to nail salons. I got her a gel mani and a pedicure with the callous remover, and I got the basic pedicure for myself. I know what I want, so it really irritates me to have the lady tries to push me into adding additional services, which she kept doing repeatedly. She wanted me to get their most expensive pedicure. I refused several times. Eventually she stopped insisting, and my basic pedi came out quite nicely, I think. She was very careful painting my toes, and I liked that. However, looking over at my mom I noticed how her experience was going badly. Her pedicure was good, too. But the man who did her gel mani was a total brute. He was so sloppy and doing everything so quickly. To top it off, the "massage" he gave my mom's hands consisted of him looking as he was attempting to tear her arm off. He was pulling her so hard that the UV light machine fell from her lap and onto her shins. My mom has a blood clot on her leg. That could've been dangerous. He giggled as he said sorry. It's a shame that they have someone so rough working there. We go to salons to feel relaxed and pampered, not to be abused. Needless to say I won't be back. read more
