Food is delicious here! We started with the onion rings "King of the ring" - seriously some of the best onion rings I've ever had. I got the backyard smoker sandwich - really really tasty! For the food, this place gets 10/10. The only reason I gave them four stars is because they played a Dave Matthews Band song, and I almost lost my appetite. What a great place to go out and eat and get some amazing drinks. We went out for a bachelorette party and had Rainy server us the first night and she was on top of drinks and an amazing personality. When you go in make sure to ask for her! Then it was so good we came back the second night and we had Colin and he was just as great! Good with jokes and knows how to do his job for sure! I usually love going to the red monkey but tonight we were denied service because we had a party of 4. There were multiple tables that had 2, 4, 6, people and we were told there weren't enough servers to serve a party of 4. We were also told if we had a party of 6 then we could be seated. Me eldest grandson, almost 20, chose this for our first nights family visit. My mom, my son, my grandsons and myself had a great time. Raime, our server was very friendly, efficient, helpful, fun and an absolute pleasure to encounter. She made spectacular suggestions, checked on us often enough to be available, but was not overbearing. The food was good, the lavendar shake was wonderful and my huckleberry mule was amazing! Yep, its a sports type bar, it's family friendly, there are plenty of TV's to watch but the volume allows for conversation easily. The ambience fit our needs beautifully. I love this restaurant. If you want a great place to grab a burger, pizza or salad and watch tv this is the place to go. Some of my favorites are the divinci pizza rolls, dynamite shrimp, and all their burgers and salads. All of the waitresses are very friendly and accommodating. read more

I ordered the Bloody Mary spicy, but it wasn't. And their spicy burger w jalapeños, but it wasn't. That's ok I'm used to that. The 3 stars is because our appetizers and dinner came out at the same time. Our waitress thought we'd believe they came out of the kitchen like that. She didn't notice the cheese was no longer liquidy for dipping. We were forgotten. And it just would have been better if she admitted the mistake. Good place to watch a game! My husband and I wanted to watch the Huskies play between wine tasting stops and this place was perfect. The food was good, the service was fast, and there were plenty of TVs. They were also very sensitive to my odd food allergy (tomatoes), and preemptively removed the sauce from the buffalo Caesar wrap I ordered, out of an abundance of caution, which I really appreciated. Avoid if you can! Don't expect good service or quality food from this place. Stopped in during Walla Walla's fall wine release and most places were packed or the quality ones were booked with reservations. We wanted to grab a quick drink while waiting for our table at a nearby restaurant. Sat down at the bar top and 10 minutes passed before someone came by, not friendly at all. She seemed exhausted by the night. Drinks were mediocre at best, girlfriend couldn't wait to eat so we order worst quality wings I've been had. They were burnt to a charity, tasted like they were double fried after being tossed in hot sauce and then realizing the order had asked for sauce on the side. Worst part was we got 6 burnt wings for $14.50! That's $2.42 each!!! WTF??? On top of that, there was a $0.50 charge for the side of ranch for the wings. B+ for ambiance. I really want to like this place. The atmosphere is fun for a sports bar, lots of TVs, good menu and draft beer selections. The food was meh, pretty bland. Unfortunately, what really turned me off about the place was that TWO of the bartenders were either sick or experiencing bad allergies, and were sniffling, wiping their noses with their hands, blowing their noses RIGHT IN FRONT OF US sitting at the bar, and NOT WASHING THEIR HANDS AFTERWARDS, and instead they went right back to making drinks, picking mint leaves off stems, making milkshakes, and serving food. I mean, you could at least go to the back to do it where we can't see you! Gross! I should probably give one star for this, but I'm hoping it was an isolated incident. read more

Solid bar food for the most part. I've tried a few of the tacos, sandwiches and burgers and have liked them all pretty well. I even had a beet salad that was really good. The only thing that has really disappointed, is the pizza. We got it for our kiddo once off the kids menu and it was bad... soft and flavorless... not good. We then had family visit and decided to order a bunch of food for everyone and got two pizzas off the "real" menu. They were just as awful. My in-laws took a couple bites and we collectively decided to just throw the pizzas away. Maybe we have had two really random off nights, but I'm not willing to give the pizza another shot. What a disappointment. The only reason they're getting 2 stars is because the wings were OK. Picked up 3 things to go - the pepperoni rolls were tolerable but the marinara sauce was terrible. The caesar salad didn't have any dressing on it. How can it be a caesar salad without any caesar dressing on it? The grilled chicken was old and dry. I'm not sure when it had been cooked but it wasn't anytime close to when I made my order. We won't be back. And, I won't recommend it to anyone else. read more

I understand that Covid is making things difficult but it took 30 mins to get drinks which didn't come out on time, then when we got our food it was cold and you could tell it had been sitting for a long time. Moreover when we asked for silverware and condiments for the food we waited 10 mins making the food even more cold. Not a very good night at the monkey. Wife had a full glass of ice water pushed by waitress into her lap! Oh im sorry here is $8 dollars discount to walk back to hotel in November. I had the steak tacos that only had 1 strip of small steak in each covered by onion strings. And don't ask to bend the rules to have fries instead of chips and salsa cause they said they couldn't do it. Fried pickles had small pieces of fries with it that were charred. This place has the worst dj's ever. I asked for a song that is actually from this decade and he said he would play it at the end of the night. Seriously? Playing "jump around" is better? C'mon. Love their food and service, both are exceptional for that they get 5 stars. Have been there several times, since we moved to the area this summer. But I have to say this, we were there again last night: The thing I don't like is that they charge an additional $1.50 if you order the side salad instead of the fries when ordering their hamburgers. Can't imagine that it costs $1.50 more to put some lettuce on a plate vs. the french fries. Also, I am gluten intolerant and they have gluten free buns (which I love). Last night I ordered the burger with no bun (trying to do low carb), and ask for the portebella mushroom instead, that was another additional $1.50 charge, even though they didn't have the cost of a gluten free bun. Met friends for an early dinner on a Friday night and were seated right away, got served drinks right away and got our appetizers in a timely manner. They have a great selection of beers and our friend had a local wine. We had the carnivore pizza which was really tasty and our friends had the burgers that they enjoyed. Will return! read more

My first time eating here. Called in order for lunch, very nice and friendly- thus the 2 stars (at least something), ordered naked burger. Burger was the diameter of a McDonald's patty - a little thicker, not much flavor and burnt. I was trying to cut it in half and literally had to saw at it. Not juicy, but dry. Asked for medium and it was well done - but not even a good well done. Very disappointed. Paid $12 and could have gone to McDonalds for a better burger. read more

I eat and drink here frequently. Today (12 May 2018) I ordered my usual El Jimadore. At about 5:15 I requested an order of fish, no chips, and a side salad. After about 30 minutes the the waitress told me my order was one order back and would be out soon. While drinking down my 2nd tequila, I began watching the man standing at the service window. He was later identified to me as the "expeditor". As a former restauranteur I understand this mans' position as a "plater" or a worker who insures that the meal to be served is complete, appetizing in appearance, clean, and free of splatter. After a few moments of observing this "expeditor", it was clear he was the reason for the delays in food delivery. He spent too much time calling into the kitchen delivering specific instructions to the staff there. At 6:25 I had waited long enough and so I went to this "expeditor" and told him to cancel my order of fish and salad. His response stunned me. He simply said, "OK". Not "Gee I'm so sorry for the delay sir, may I buy your drinks for you?". Nope. He just said "OK" as though it was just another item to be checked his list. Now, I am just a local, and relatively meaningless to the overall economy of Walla Walla. An economy dependent upon tourism. I want people that visit here to enjoy their stay here. I worry when I see an impediment to smooth service in a restaurant and how that might effect the opinion of a visitor and their impression of Walla Walla as a whole. I trust the Red Monkey can read this post and fix this poor service issue. read more
