Grilled lobster, grilled shrimp and salmon

Food was good but the service was awesome! Go see Tracei M at the Red Lobster on Commercial Way Spring Hill FL.

    What I ordered...

I've never been a huge Red Lobster fan, but the last time we went, it was really good; service and food! We live close by and saw the "Shrimp Sensation" special for $19.99. Love me a good deal and shrimp, so it's a win win, right?! Biscuits are always good, Ceasars salad hard to mess up. So, I ordered the Black Tiger Shrimp Cocktail. Pictures show what I thought I ordered and what I got. When I questioned it, our waiter said he was just told that they were out of the Tiger Shrimp, so instead of 2 of those, I got 4 of these. Huh?? Shrimp scampi and broccoli were good. I think the bottom line is that it's hit or miss with this restaurant.

I go to this Red Lobster since it's the closest to our County once a year for their AUCE Shrimp feast meal. All you can eat medium to large sized shrimp served in several different ways. With your meal you get one side and their famous Cheddar Bay Biscuits. I opted for their side salad. The usual salad you would see at other restaurants, nothing really special about it but I came for the shrimp, not lettuce. Their blue cheese salad dressing however is very good and has nice chunks of blue cheese in it. Their choices of shrimp were : Walt's favorite fried shrimp, coconut shrimp with a pineapple dipping sauce, greek grilled shrimp on a skewer and their shrimp scampi. What was missing this time was their popular shrimp alfredo with linguine, disappointing to say the least. Walt's favorite fried shrimp were large, crispy on the outside without being too crunchy and cooked perfectly. Served with your choice of tartare sauce or cocktail sauce. A solid choice for a shrimp dish. Next I had their shrimp scampi - one of my favorites to tell the truth but this time they fell a little below the mark. Not as large as Walt's shrimp or the coconut shrimp these medium sized shrimp are bathed in a garlic butter sauce. This time they needed salt and more garlic flavor. Once I sprinkled extra salt and a squeeze of lemon - they were good, not great but good because they weren't overcooked or underdone. After that I tried their coconut shrimp served with a sweet pineapple sauce. Nice large sized shrimp breaded with coconut and lightly fried they were different but good. However, in my opinion after a while all that sweetness cuts down on the pleasure of eating that dish. It could even pass as a dessert with the level of sweetness involved. My final shrimp plate was greek grilled shrimp on a wooden skewer. These shrimp were the same size as the shrimp scampi - medium in size. The charred edges of the shrimp added to the flavor but I have to say that I had trouble getting the shrimp off of the skewer at times. Some were stuck so bad I left pieces of shrimp on the skewer. These shrimp also needed more of the greek marinade to boost their flavor. All in all a good experience not as great as previous visits but we left with our bellies full and we look forward to the next time! Hopefully they will bring back their shrimp alfredo dish! How can you go wrong with an AUCE shrimp meal in today's world?

We really like our and Pop places but Red Lobster is one of the chains we come to and never walk away unhappy..if you come to this location, you must have Jen wait on you...she is our go to when we come here...they just so happened to offer all you can eat Shrimp, 6 or 7 varieties served with a side for almost the same price as the meal..I ordered the special they had where you get a starter and a special meal and then you can also order a dessert for 5.00 we left very full and everything was served and delicious...

The clam chowder was watery and curdled! The Caesar salad had wilted lettuce and dressing was way too much.

MEAT and POTATOES.... and peanuts!…read moreYeah, why not??? I've been enjoying Cody's for a lot of years. It's been quite a while since I wrote a review. I figured it was high time to update my feelings about Cody's. Yesterday I stopped in for an early dinner. Around 3.:30 or so. I was in the mood for something simple. Something simply STEAK-y! I quickly settled on the EARLY BIRD Top Sirloin Steak. An easy choice, and it turned out to be the RIGHT CHOICE. A very Delicious RIGHT CHOICE... Of course, I politely munched on some peanuts as I waited for my mandatory BIG BOWL O' ENDLESS SALAD! I made sure NOT to throw any peanut shells on the floor. I will say I kinda miss that 'Back in the day' CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH sound of walking on peanut shells. BUT, I totally get it! Saves a LOT of backaching work for the Cody's Crew NOT having to scoop up tons of spent shells off the floors, seats and everywhere. Speaking of Cody's Crew! My server was the wonderful Joni R! The one with the dazzling smile and the perfect serve! AND the excellent upside-down handwriting. She took excellent care of me. Always right there, the moment BEFORE I was about to ask for something. She delivered a mighty fine bowl of that savory salad. She kept my tea filled, my needs met and my spirits high. I enjoyed EVERY SINGLE BITE of my entire meal. It was one of those times where you knew you ordered EXACTLY what you wanted but didn't know just how much you wanted it until you ordered it and then ate it!!! WHEW! (I did all that on purpose!) Cody's AND Joni were a HUGE HIT! I enjoy the atmosphere very much. Like being in an old Western saloon, that serves excellent food. All the while watching the golfing crowd, the fishermen/women and the Seniors (like me) amble in. A LOT of those fine folks are hot on the trail of the EARLY BIRD MENU. That's a very fair deal for some truly fine grub. (NO PICS today. I was too busy people watching, yakking and eating)

The hostess was right there, friendly and ready to seat us either inside or outside. We chose the covered, shaded patio with views of the water, and it was perfect. My daughter ordered the chicken quesadillas and I went with a classic BLT and fries. Everything was delicious... fresh, well-prepared, and satisfying. I also couldn't resist trying their pineapple jalapeño margarita after seeing one on another table. It looked (and tasted) amazing. I'm not much of a drinker so I only had a few sips, but those few sips were worth it. The staff was attentive without being overbearing. We'll definitely be coming back with the whole family. Highly recommend if you're looking for a cute, low-key waterfront spot with good food and a lovely setting.

Also visited the Silver dolphin with my children, for Mother's Day and on St. Patrick's Day. The silver dolphin never disappoints. Hernando Beach restaurant that frequently has a short wait for seating... but is 100% worth the wait! Staff are small-town friendly and feels like home. While you wait, there is a large gift shop to peruse with decent pricing from local artists. Weather permitting, ask for seating outside. But if they are really full, the indoor seating is almost as nice (plus it has air-conditioning). Weekend specials on certain beverages, so early birds always save more money. We had the fish tacos, shrimp, tacos, watermelon Mojito, and steak sub. The fish tacos were divine and my daughter loved the shrimp tacos as well. Breakfast platters are healthy portions and also didn't disappoint. If you get there early, they have weekend mimosa and Bloody Mary specials (BOGO). Our favorite person was an elderly woman that cleans up the dishes. So incredibly sweet, kind and personable. Staff is very efficient, friendly, and food arrives rather quickly... along with beverages. Great view overlooking a canal, small deck on canal, complete with view of snapping turtles, cool breeze, shade, and areas to take pictures (dock, mermaid statues, dolphin statue, florida signage, etc.) We will definitely be back (again)!

Driving by it looks like nothing, inside is a large seating area, a bar area and then doors to go to the outside where on the weekends at least there's live music. I took a step outside to get a picture of the pizza oven, what a beauty! I did not know it was the owner, but I asked the guy if I could grab a picture of it and in an Italian accent, he said get a picture from over here you can see inside. Our waitress was very knowledgeable, friendly and fast, And she had some large tables. The pizza was absolutely delicious. I asked the waitress while looking at the menu, I saw that they said some homemade pasta. She told me that they make all their pastas, breads, sauces, and pizza dough on site. We will have to come back and try some other meals, but the wood fired pizza was phenomenal. I had seen this place on the socials, and one time working my way back home when the expressway was shut down...I drove by it, and would've never noticed it if I hadn't known the name. The place is definitely doing the business, but you need to go. It is a hidden gem. One of the better pizzas in the drivable area for sure! The owners are from Italy, need I say anymore. Oh, I almost forgot that they have a nice selection of beers on draft. Seriously, reef donkey for five dollars. It only made the pizza that much better! And the sidenote when you get mushrooms on your pizza, you get a mixture of delicious mushrooms, all fresh, even shiitakes. The red peppers are freshly cut, and the onions are sautéed, which just adds another layer of flavor. And definitely when we go back I am getting some meatball sliders, cause we got meatballs on the one pizza and they were so delicious, just a tender flavorful hold together meatball but not dense! Well, done, my friends! You have a new loyal customer.
