The four of us decided to give Red Lobster a try as it's been a couple of years since we've been there. We were seated way in the back where no one was. That was fine with us. Our server, a very sweet young lady, definitely had an injured arm. We could tell she was in a great deal of pain. But she served us with a smile. Our drinks were brought out quickly. 3 of us ordered the shrimp special. $15.99 for shrimp scampi, shrimp Alfredo with linguini and popcorn shrimp plus fries. First off, the popcorn shrimp was over cooked and over breaded. The scampi sauce didn't have much garlic and the shrimp were dry/over cooked. The shrimp Alfredo was good. The other in our party orders the platter. The fish was like cardboard, the clam strips were way overcooked, hard and more breading than anything. The fries were also over done and didn't have much seasoning. The best on his dinner was the Mac n cheese. Now the buns were the highlight of the meal. Hot, fresh and plenty of them. But, not enough butter for the 4 of us. The raspberry tea was good. It didn't have that artificial taste. It took a long time for us to get our food and there weren't too many people. No one came by to remove our used dishes, leaving us with very little room to sit comfortably. I took it upon ourselves to remove all the used dishes onto the counter behind us. We ended up taking our left overs home to feed to our chickens. I did order a slice of cheesecake, which I'll try later. I have indigestion from the meal. I know our waitress was really trying her best and that she was in a lot of pain. She did her best so we tipped her well. Overall I don't believe we will be returning to Red Lobster anytime soon. The prices were just too ridiculous for the quality of the food. The service was good, under the circumstances. Maybe in a couple years we might try Red Lobster again... if they're still in business. For now, there are better seafood places by the water that we will return to. I'm only giving 3 stars and that's just for our waitress. read more

Come for the Biscuits, Stay for the Seafood and cocktails Went out to eat for late lunch with my Cousin and Grandpa, I hadn't been to Red Lobster in at least 8 years! The food was wonderful! Did we wait 35 min for food? Sure, but it was delicious and hot and fresh. I truly believe it was a one man show in the kitchen that's why it took a while and that's okay! As long as the quality of everything is good I really don't mind waiting haha I mean to be for real the atmosphere is included in the prices sooo over all I would always recommend! Visited for first time in about three years. Was going to eat at the bar, however the bartender was absent, never coming back to take our order. Ended up getting a table. The overall appearance is very unkept and needs a full makeover. The food was swimming in grease, potato cold. Not the quality from before. This could be why the brand is not doing very well. I've never been a huge Red Lobster fan, but the last time we went, it was really good; service and food! We live close by and saw the "Shrimp Sensation" special for $19.99. Love me a good deal and shrimp, so it's a win win, right?! Biscuits are always good, Ceasars salad hard to mess up. So, I ordered the Black Tiger Shrimp Cocktail. Pictures show what I thought I ordered and what I got. When I questioned it, our waiter said he was just told that they were out of the Tiger Shrimp, so instead of 2 of those, I got 4 of these. Huh?? I go to this Red Lobster since it's the closest to our County once a year for their AUCE Shrimp feast meal. All you can eat medium to large sized shrimp served in several different ways. With your meal you get one side and their famous Cheddar Bay Biscuits. I opted for their side salad. The usual salad you would see at other restaurants, nothing really special about it but I came for the shrimp, not lettuce. Their blue cheese salad dressing however is very good and has nice chunks of blue cheese in it. Their choices of shrimp were : Walt's favorite fried shrimp, coconut shrimp with a pineapple dipping sauce, greek grilled shrimp on a skewer and their shrimp scampi. What was missing this time was their popular shrimp alfredo with linguine, disappointing to say the least. Walt's favorite fried shrimp were large, crispy on the outside without being too crunchy and cooked perfectly. Served with your choice of tartare sauce or cocktail sauce. A solid choice for a shrimp dish. Next I had their shrimp scampi - one of my favorites to tell the truth but this time they fell a little below the mark. Not as large as Walt's shrimp or the coconut shrimp these medium sized shrimp are bathed in a garlic butter sauce. This time they needed salt and more garlic flavor. Once I sprinkled extra salt and a squeeze of lemon - they were good, not great but good because they weren't overcooked or underdone. After that I tried their coconut shrimp served with a sweet pineapple sauce. Nice large sized shrimp breaded with coconut and lightly fried they were different but good. However, in my opinion after a while all that sweetness cuts down on the pleasure of eating that dish. It could even pass as a dessert with the level of sweetness involved. My final shrimp plate was greek grilled shrimp on a wooden skewer. These shrimp were the same size as the shrimp scampi - medium in size. The charred edges of the shrimp added to the flavor but I have to say that I had trouble getting the shrimp off of the skewer at times. Some were stuck so bad I left pieces of shrimp on the skewer. These shrimp also needed more of the greek marinade to boost their flavor. All in all a good experience not as great as previous visits but we left with our bellies full and we look forward to the next time! Hopefully they will bring back their shrimp alfredo dish! Came to restaurant with my husband for a night out. Came in and had the worst service ever. We were seated by a hostess with a very dry personality. We then sat at the table for just shy of 15 mins. We were never greeted by another person, not a server, busser or manager. We never had anyone take our order for drinks. In the end we got up and left. There was not even a single person that said bye as we left. I won't go to the new port Richey location due to history of under cooked food, now this one is off the list too. read more

We had an early lunch to have the $20 endless shrimp. Josh was our server and he was excellent. The cheddar bay biscuits were delicious. The restaurant wasn't too busy as we arrived right at opening time. But the dining room did fill up quickly. It is never very loud though. We had loaded baked potatoes and side salads which were great. Our shrimp refills were quickly brought out. Josh was an amazingly good server who was always seeing if we needed drinks or any other items. The staff here is always friendly and helpful. read more

i was livid! called ahead and was assured that my mentally disabled 47 year old son would be presented with a piece of cake with a candle and that the staff would sing happy birthday to him. we got there and we're greeted by the young man i'd previously spoken with and he told me yes mam everything is ready. this was our 1st birthday for him after we were left alone on this earth and i wanted to celebrate my son. we both live on disability and $ is tight. i drove, with aan injured foot 60 miles round trip and spent money we couldn't afford. had to ask for water 3 times. waitress, who said she was also the bartender was totally inattentive. after we finished dinner we waited. finally i had to get up and find her. when i asked her about the cake she said did you bring a cake, did you bring a candle? i told her it was preplanned surprise and she walked away to check. a few minutes later the manager comes to my table and says i don't know what you're talking about we don't have birthday cake or candles. at that point i said thanks for ruining the surprise you don't need to say 1 more word to me. get our check immediately. she left. my son put $10 on the table. noone came back. went up front and told my son to go outside. it took 5 minutes for woman to bring our check. i looked at it and put the money on the counter she walked away saying money goes in the sleeve so i put it in there and slammed it down. she comes back and says are you good and i said no i'll wait for my change, about $1.50. while she was getting it i walked back to my table and got our $10 back. then i left. she chases me out saying don't you want your change? i said no you need it because it's all you deserve. this happened in the dothan al restaurant which we'll never go back to. we'll never eat at any red lobster again if this is their standard for treating people who pay their salaries. we went in at 3:30 and there were 4 other customers in the whole place. when we left the man i'd spoken to saw me and hid behind a wall. wtf? read more

As a New Englander most of my long life, I had the lucky times to taste the greatest seafoods ever cooked. From clambakes to just lobsters. Recently we visited Red Lobster, and I found the food there to be mediocre at best. They pride themselves and brag about New England flavors, but the lobster meat was bland and seemed reheated. Not fresh. The crab legs were "ok" but it took a surgical removal from the shell. I may be spoiled from shucking little necks to sitting down to eating "6" FULL lobsters (claws too), but pretty sure anyone who feeds at Red Lobster should understand, it's NOT New England! read more

I brought my daughter here for her 10th birthday. She requested it, and since I haven't been to a Red Lobster in soooo many years, I thought it was a great idea! We had to wait for a bit and not sure why, because there weren't very many people there. Every other table was taped off for Covid, and still many open. Anyway - we sat down, and it took quite awhile before anyone came over to take my drink order. We ordered everything at once, since we had plenty of time to look over the menu. Speaking of menu, I'm shocked at how drastic the menu shortened since the last time I was there. One side was drinks, the other side was a short food menu. I was able to decide rather quickly. So, we placed the order and by the time we saw the waitress again, she brought the drinks and the appetizer at one time. The appetizer wasn't hot like you'd expect, either. So, that was a slight disappointment. After about 15 minutes or so, we received the main course. I ordered the New Orleans Salmon with crunchy brussel sprouts, and a side Caesar salad. The salad was drowning in dressing, so I couldn't eat it all. My salmon was perfectly cooked. Temperature was perfect, texture, looks. Everything was enjoyable after that moment. I normally don't like brussel sprouts, but I thought I'd try them again since it's been decades since I've tried them. It was delicious. I appreciate the food dish, and I washed everything down with a Diet Coke, which was refreshing. My daughter opted for crab legs, and she enjoyed every second of it. She loves to crack them open and she's good at it, too! I'm not sure if I'll be back again for awhile. I am one who would rather support the local businesses, and I'm not much for eating at chain restaurants. 4 stars because the waitress was lagging, but the food was top-notch. read more

It's weird to say but this was the best Red Lobster we have ever been too. Upon entering, the restaurant was very clean and we were greeted by the hostess rather quickly. We were seated within 2-3 minutes of walking in. The staff, and I don't mean just our waitress, even other waitresses were all extremely kind. The food was good, same as any other Red Lobster when it comes to options. They are still enforcing social distancing even with seating arrangements which is very much appreciated, even if you don't believe in social distancing it's nice to enjoy a meal spaced out and not on top of each other! Everyone was wearing a mask and sanitizing between customers. The only down was that the women's bathroom wasn't the cleanest. However, we will very likely return to this location again! read more

So it is lobster fest week, a practice that I don't really grasp. They make a big deal about it here, loaded up the lobster guilt like a glutton slathering melted butter all over a tender Maine lobster tail. Of course, I didn't have a problem with such ardent promotion your favorite crustacean and mine. A typical red lobster, clean but showing it's age. Tables are worn and marred. Tonight we were told they were out of lobster! Our server tried to make its sound like it was no big deal. Let's start this off by saying that in total my food was $175, an unsweet tea was $4 by its self before tax. The bread was nice but I think that was the only nice thing about this whole trip. I had my 11 month old with me and as they were taking the food out on hot plates they kept passing the plates over his head, eventually I had said to stop passing hot plates over my baby's head and the lady had brushed it off and kept passing plates above my baby's head. I once again said something to the waiter but again no care in the world. The clam chowder had looked steamy and hot but it was barely warm almost room temperature, if I'm buying clam chowder that is $9 before tax for a bowl I atleast expect it to be steaming. The ambiance was dead there was barely any music playing and once I had went to the bathroom it was very very dirty with dust everywhere and the lighting was as if I was in a horror house. As a contractor, we got 100 callers over the years and never gave a disclaimer about the service or food selection. This time, it's time for a bad review. After spending $100 including a to go order tip, we got dried out lobster and crab legs. Look at the bowl. That is all I got out the shells. Shrimp was good but no taste. Sorry RL, but the The Freezer in Crystal River kicked your fish back to the sea. 17 miles to you in Spring Hill was not worth watching the drive to fish. Service was great at first, but towards the end it seemed like it took forever to be check on on. By the time we got our check it took forever to pay and leave. I had to ask another waitress to take our bill. FOOD: as "red lobster" you are known for seafood... but my snow crab legs were cooked a little long. Tasty but to have perfect crab legs the meat is easy to de shell but in my case it was a hassle. I've had crab legs from a little place that's like a hole in the wall... and the food was AMAZING and cooked perfectly to order... today I left half satisfied and still hungry.. and I paid for 45.00 worth of sea food... to be real this place is kinda a joke! If I want sea food this will be my last option. More along the line of desperate will the my only reason for return. read more
