We took 7 of us to Get Hooked for my daughter's birthday. The atmosphere was open, lively and filled with laughter. The two platters were delicious and plentiful. However the other salmon dishes were not good. The chicken strips were not fully cooked either. Get hooked is known by the locals and most of the food is fresh and tasty. Not too kid friendly, plenty of parking. Too many smokers smoke wafted our way. Yes we will go back to Get hooked, just not with the kids. read more

Not fan npr area new one I called the guest of information. It was a little bit after lunch apparently they are still busy but kept me on a hold for over 15 minutes when they got on the phone I would ask a couple questions that girl got overwhelmed. had someone else come over the phone and talk to me and the other lady was like listen I'm too busy for this when I hung up the phone on me. I walked over there because I was at the park and they weren't that busy lol and I ordered about $65 worth it to go food and it was OK. It wasn't bad it wasn't great. It was OK. Nothing to write home about if they had outside seating that would probably be better. I might've gone there again in the future, but since they don't have outside seating, I probably will never go there again. This place has fresh and delicious seafood! This was my second visit and it didn't disappoint. Last time I shared the Captain's Feast with my son and while we loved it we didn't even make a dent in it. It was the largest platter of seafood - fried clams, shrimp, calamari & grouper. This visit I enjoyed the seafood medley for 1 & again it was the biggest bucket of fresh steamed seafood - oysters, clams, mussels, shrimp, red potatoes & corn. Everything was so fresh and we left with so much leftover! My Dad enjoyed the grilled mahi mahi and also leftovers for another meal. We ordered the Seafood Medley for 2. It advertised OYSTERS, shrimp, clams, mussels, potatoes, and corn on the cob. There were 12 potatoes in the bottom of the bowl, a handful of shrimp, 4 ears of corn, clams and LOTS of mussels, NO OYSTERS ! When we questioned our waitress, she told us that they were out of oysters, so they added "extra stuff". We felt that we should have been informed, so that we could have chosen something else. Her response was, "ok, that's on me." We were given no compensation. We paid full price for a bowl full of potatoes and mussels. Certainly not the way to treat your local customers. ​ read more

Tried this place for the first time tonight. First of all, I didn't realize that there is absolutely no inside seating; it is entirely open. Had I known that I wouldn't have gone. And because it's close to the water, it smelled of fish. The table we sat at was sticky from the humidity and the seat was dirty. Not dirty like you can wipe it off and then it's clean-dirty, but dirty as in you would have to scrub it to get it clean. The whole entire place seemed like it needed a good cleaning. We ordered the burger and shrimp scampi pasta. The pasta was so incredibly oily that the noodles were sitting in a puddle of oil. I asked for a bunch of lemons, hoping that I could give it some flavor, but it didn't do much. I will not go back. read more

Loving fresh seafood, my hubby took me to celebrate my birthday here on a Monday evening in February 2022. This location has a lovely outdoor patio, perfect for a warm evening. The indoor restaurant has a great view of the marina and marsh nearby, and they have large patio doors that open all the way so that you can feel the gentle breezes from the gulf. We started off by ordering a painkiller and a draft Yuengling to celebrate my birthday, and then ordered a cup of the clam chowder which was absolutely delicious! I could have licked the bowl it was that good. We also ordered some steamed oysters to split. Something tasted off after I sampled the first one so I didn't eat the other two. We ordered a shrimp po' boy and a turkey club sandwich for the main course. Enjoyed them very much. They were both served with French fries, and we ended up taking half home for the next day's lunch, and a take-home dessert for my birthday. I enjoyed the location, atmosphere and meal very much, so we will probably return for a sunset in the future. There's a notice on every table, together with a sign on the hostess stand, regarding the restaurant's cash discount and service charge for use of credit cards, which appears on the napkin holder. We had such a great time at Get Hooked! The drinks were absolutely delicious, the service was fantastic, and the food was amazing!! We got the Buffalo Shrimp-which was flavorful and the shrimp were massive. We also got the Mozzarella Sticks, which were seasoned perfectly and shaped like fins. I loved the outdoor seating and the turf. There was so many different places to sit and enjoy the day. I only have 2 things that would've made the experience 5 stars- the first thing is that it was $65 for 2 shots, 2 drinks and 2 appetizers. I know everything is more expensive but that's a bit pricey. The other one can't really be helped but if the building was a little bit closer to the water it would be perfect. Overall a really great place with nice ambiance. read more

Really nice neighborhood bar and grill. That happens to be by the gulf and marina. Nice atmosphere. Busy for a Friday night but they had lots of blank tables to keep everyone spread out. It is a big place and they way it's set up the inside becomes the outside with all the sliding doors open so it's not confined at all. Lobster Mac was excellent. Great craft beer selection. Upon arrival the hostess goes to the back and comes to talk tell us that their kitchen could not handle a big party tonight. They literally turned us away because we showed up together as a group.
