Tried this Bonefish Location for a work meeting and it was a good experience. I'm not familiar with Brooksville, but this Bonefish is in a more bustling, newer part of the town. The service was great. Although one of my colleagues didn't enjoy their fish, the staff and the manager took the extra time and effort to make things right. I can respect that. My scallops and shrimp were cooked well, not too charred, not rubbery. The salsa was also delicious. I have the blueberry mocktail and was a nice little touch. Horrible service, decent food. Took 3 tries to get the drink order correct, and the response was, "I didn't check it". Rushed us to get the order in, then waited 45 minutes for the food. Food was decent. Waited an additional 30 minutes with dirty plates for server to return. Did not ask if we wanted desert just dropped check after 30 minutes of sitting. We didn't press it and we didn't want to wait an additional hour for desert and the re delivery of the check. Will never be back. I tried this place 3 years ago when I first moved to the area and the bartenders were just very cliquey and would barely serve you. Recently, 3/11/26 I decided to give it another try, enough time passed they should be better, right? Absolutely wrong! I sat closest to the door but BOTH bartenders barely walked past the half way point of the bar starting at the other end. I was chatting with some other patrons and they mentioned this is a common occurrence. How do they expect to keep customers if they won't serve them? Didn't care for the chicken. It was cooked nice although it came out cold on the first shot. So while waiting I ate the risotto and coleslaw I have never met a cheese I didn't like but I guess goat cheese is not my thing. Ewww. I'll start off by saying this place is nothing short of excellence. My one and only complaint was where we were sat - 4 of us in a small table in the middle of the floor surrounded by lots of people. Now, onto the experience. The food was absolutely delicious. I got the Cod Imperial and I cannot say enough about this dish. The fish was so tender, flaky, and very moist. It was stuffed with creamy delicious sauce with crab and shrimp in it, and it all came together very well and melted in my mouth. The interior of the restaurant was very clean and a mature ambient, but wasn't busy when we went which was why it was shocking the amount of time it took for us to get the food. Let me start by saying our server Shannon was very pleasant but the service was not so good. The Restaurant was not busy when we were there. From the beginning when we were seated it seemed longer than usual for the waitress to come to our table. We ordered drinks and my wife's iced tea came pretty quick and my bar drink took forever. I was not happy. My wife ask for more olive oil and Shannon forgot it as she said she would get it right away. My wife had ask for it again and it did not show up until our meals came. I ask for a beer and that took forever to come to the table. I got my salad and still no beer. My bang bang shrimp taco's were good but my wife's imperial cod was terrible. My wife does not like to make wave's so I did not say anything but the whole dinner experience was not something we enjoyed but we did give her 18% tip but everything we ordered took way to long to get to the table and we were not happy. Well honestly, we have eaten here numerous times with no issues. Today, the calamari was cold and soggy and only soggy when they returned with a replacement dish. Great experience. It was my first time at this location. Party of 4. We walked in and were seated immediately. Very cool for a Friday evening. The atmosphere was comfortable and pleasant. We moved from a table to a booth which was nicer. Our server was Breonna. She was amazing. She was very pleasant and professional and extremely attentive. Very polite. Just a a delight. More about her later. The food was very good. We had apps and main courses. No room for dessert. It happens. Bang bang shrimp and calamari for appetizers. I was a little surprised to find a little less bang in the Bang Bang, but it was still delicious. We had variety in our entrees. No disappointment there. I thought my dish could've blended together a little better. I had the lobster, shrimp dish with mushroom, peas and cherry tomato. Every individual element of the dish was very good and the sauce was very good. It didn't feel as tied together as I would've liked. I'll take some of the blame though. It may have been a misstep on my part to have a shrimp app and a shrimp entree. I was the only one who finished my entree(greedy / chubby). The kiddos had quite a bit left to take home. A very nice touch was the carry out containers. Someone(I suspect Breonna) labeled the carry out containers with a full description of the entrees from which the leftovers started and smiley faces. It was a very, very nice touch. Maybe they always do that or maybe it's just for kids. Either way, it was an additional pleasantry. The value was another nice element to our visit. No surprise. There are always good values to be had. We did have one entree from the daily special menu, it was steak and shrimp. It was very good(yes, i had a taste), very reasonably priced and I may look for it on my next visit. Yes, I'll definitely be back. Bonefish is my favorite local chain restaurant so I have very few unpleasant experiences and I've been to a half dozen or more different locations. Delayed wait on food and service. I wasn't even walked outside to a table i just got told to go oht and oick wherever and they would bring me a menu then. The app was the best food out if it all and the plating was decent looking but looks are deceiving as we all know. The quality was terrible my hometown one in Lancaster, Pa is much better and even then lacks decent food. The service didnt clear my table from dirty dishes when they delivered the entree. Prices were extrememly high for how it lacked quality. I had the chicken marsala and even that had very scarce mushrooms. I was thankful to take a pit stop to talk to my god and savior Jesus Christ and that was the best part too that i sat alone outside. The side dishes were not good either the asparagus was tasteless and i couldnt even eat the parmasean risotto rice it was just soaking in too much pesto notably overpowering. This experience had turned me off from wanting to return to bonefish and grill. The service wasn't of standards wjther to check in me amber only came out once and stood by the door and shouted if i needed anything no couth what so ever. I'm usually a very good tipper but based of experience and service I went against my usual nature and stand by you get tipped on quality of service not just because your a server and thats what you do. Takeout today was the worst meals we've had in the Brooksville, FL area. my wife and I ordered two salmon dishes. one with rice and asparagus and the other with potatoes and seasonal vegetables. the salmon was way over cooked and was dry and rubbery. the asparagus was 3 of 10. the seasonal vegetable was string beans that lived up to its name - stringy, uneatable. the salads were good. most of the 2 meals went in the garbage. The last time we ate at the restaurant, we had a good experience. So, no more takeout for Bonefish. read more
