We took our grandson here for his birthday dinner. Even though they were busy, our waitress took care of this point rapidly. Our drinks never were empty and when we were done with plates, they quickly came and cleaned up. The staff was extremely friendly and I waitress was very on the ball. Our food was served hot and it was enough leftover to take home. The price was very reasonable for the amount of food that we received. Their raspberry iced tea is terribly expensive four dollars for a glass and you can taste the artificial flavoring which is a little bit too much. They had one when I lived in Spring Lake, New Jersey, but I think it went out of business. The salmon was a little dry on the inside. However, the crispness on the outside was good. My sister felt the same way about her salmon. But her sides were good as well, the baby carrots and rice. I'm a big fan of Cheddar's and this location did not disappoint. We were seated around the corner near a "to-go" entrance, which is very convenient for carry-out orders. Our server was very attentive and refilled our drinks before we even ran out. The croissants are basically as yummy as dessert. Such a wonderful treat. My salad was delicious and very filling. The Tilapia was blackened & thin so we worried it would be dry. It wasn't. It was moist and not over powering. The 4 shrimp were cooked just right but we would had preferred more of course. The rice was rice - nothing special but cooked right. I had the baked potato as my side & it was done to perfection. DH went for the up-charge & got the loaded fries. First time here and we enjoyed everything here. Friendly hostess. Wonderful waitress, Giovanna, that was both friendly and great at her job. The salad was large enough for two. My ribs were truly delicious, great sauce, fall off the bone and moist. Wife loved the chicken sandwich. Atmosphere was pleasant without blaring music but with lovely dividers that included artificial plants. By the time it came out I wasn't even hungry anymore and it looked about half the size. No offer of anything to make up for it. They did apologize at least. As far as food establishments go the food is 3 stars all day. It was good but not great. We got a lot of fried food today and the oil tasted like it needed to be changed, almost stale. The food was also very greasy like it hadn't been drained well. However, this is a chain and as far as chain restaurants go this is 4 stars all day. The food is much higher quality then you would find at an Applebee's or Chili's and the price point is actually better (For an appetizer, two meals and an alcoholic beverage it was 39$). This is one of those places you might stop at when there is nothing else in the area. We did enjoy our food enough to come back but not enough to become regulars. read more
