Food was meh very bland for the most part. Had high expectations for this place too. The service and the food arriving was actually very fast. Make sure to bring cash as it isn't posted anywhere that it's cash only. They have an ATM inside though if needed, feels kind of predatory to not mention cash only and to then make fees off the ATM though.

Great sauce- the Hot isn't very hot but tasteful

This is by far one of the best breakfast places I have eaten at within Brooksville. The food is always amazing, and the cinnamon roll is a fan favorite! The restaurant is always packed, the service is always fast & the food is very yummy & they have a positive atmosphere. They have a bar next door you can go to whilst you're waiting to be seated, as well as a swag shop which has a variety of different items in there. Your number will be called in both the bar & the store so you won't miss your table!

Awesome breakfast. Everything was fresh and a lot of dishes were unique. Servers have great suggestions if you need them.

I don't think a restaurant can get more Florida, which I love! The decor is an old Florida classic and is also attached to a bar and a separate store. Seating is limited, but we did get in pretty quick for lunch. I ordered a mimosa, which is lined with brown sugar and started with the gator bites. For my entree I ordered the shrimp and grits- and wow. The home made tomato bacon gravy was everything and more. They do their own twist with the grits which is shaped into triangles (literally thought it was bread first). Service was great! They only take cash but there is an ATM inside.

Cheddar cheeseburger with coleslaw. 12 dollars

My friend and I decided to do brunch here. It was about a 40 minute wait for a table, so we went to the store to look by, and again waited in the seats near the entrance. They give you a ruler with a number, and call them out when ready. We were called after 40 minutes and sat in a table outside. I decided to do lunch and have a cheeseburger (12 dollars) with coleslaw as the side. I requested medium rare temperature, but when it came, it looked to be medium instead. It was still a very nice burger with good beef grilled nicely to add that smoky flavor. It came with cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and pickles on the toothpick. Condiments came on the side, which you added yourself. It was a very good burger as the vegetables were fresh, bacon was crispy, and the beef was grilled nicely (if a little overcooked than requested temperature). The coleslaw was mild and clean, which was still quite enjoyable. The service was very good, with our server catching up on us and refilling my friend's coffee. We had to pay in the counter, and they only take cash (no credit or debit cards here). What was quite interesting is 2 dollar bills are also given as change. Even though the dining area looked small, the extra seating outdoors helped a bit. Parking was quite full, but we lucked out after a truck left, giving us a space. There is a cocktail bar next door to enjoy drinks while you wait for a table, and a small store as well. For 12 bucks, I did enjoy my burger. It is quite a popular restaurant, especially during the weekend. It serves a nice brunch during the weekend, and will visit again to try their omelette next time. I just gotta remember to bring cash as they only that. Overall: A

The San Ann Skillet is my undisputed favorite breakfast in the area. A warm flour tortilla on the bottom--topped with a hearty layer of golden skillet potatoes and a full, perfectly seasoned ground beef patty. Fluffy scrambled eggs, onions, bell peppers, diced tomatoes, and plenty of melted jack and cheddar finish it off, with salsa and sour cream served on the side. Outstanding flavor, generous portion (I've never finished one), and excellent value. Enjoyed mine on the shaded patio (watch for occasional falling acorns). Service is always friendly. Bring cash or use the on-site ATM. They don't take credit cards. Still the best breakfast in Brooksville. Highly recommend!

Saying howdy to a friend who couldn't make it! Birthday girl left front! The food was in the open area behind us! DELISCIOUS!!!

I went to a birthday party in the large back pavilion - catered food was fabulous & cooked & served properly! Staff serving drinks were super helpful, friendly & knowledgeable! Loved it! Large tables for groups, large patio was awesome for the 100 or so guests but not crowded! Bathrooms were spotless and decorated so cute! DEFINITELY recommend!!!

Absolutely amazing! From the service to the food & atmosphere! I had breakfast and my bf had lunch. He had brisket sandwich w/au jus gravy! He said it was the best he'd ever had! Courtney & Jen took care of our table and were friendly and helpful. This was our first visit to this location and yes we are Florida Cracker fans! Now we had this is on top of the list as a fave! We wil be back soon!

I love this place! They have the most amazing atmosphere - there's a breakfast/brunch joint, bar, outdoor patio, and even a gift shop all in one place. The food is delicious -don't skip the cinnamon roll. I also had the shrimp and grits which blew my mind. The grit cakes were amazing!

After a hike at Chinsegut Conservation park, we headed for lunch at Florida Cracker Kitchen on a perfect fall day in Florida. As usual, there was a brief wait, so we popped next door to the Tap Room and got some cocktails while we waited. Service during lunch was fine- everyone was nice but we never saw the same staff member more than once- and none of us got drink refills. We shared some gumbo- not traditional but very tasty, and we tried the grits and gravy- which is a tomato sauce "gravy." I had the shrimp and grits- same red sauce but with a pair of fried triangles of grits cake. The shrimp were tiny, but it was a nice twist on a classic dish. I added a side of collard greens- good but they needed some tang. My friends had the chicken and waffles (nothing to write home about) and the refreshing Ponte Vedra salad. The restaurant is cash-only and we got our $2 bills in our change- a tradition! The food is fine, but the spot is a classic Florida Southern kitchen where you can enjoy some good company in a relaxed atmosphere. Always worth the stop!

This was such a fun experience! The brunch food was really good, and there's even a cool store to browse through while you're there. We all really enjoyed our meals, everything felt fresh, hearty, and full of flavor. It's a great spot if you're looking for a laid-back vibe with some local charm.

The food, drinks, and vibes are great. The quays can be long but you can go grab a drink while you wait: the mimosas are great. Bring cash!

It's ground level if you have a pusher. Or just sit outside. Get takeaway. Worth it.

Tidal might have my favorite beers of any of them. I've become one of those IPA people over the years, and they're great with those, from West Coast to Hazy--but they're also solid with other styles, and seem to be particularly good with British styles, from ESBs to "mild" ales. The service there's always been fast and friendly, and I like the place's atmosphere in general: it's rarely too loud but it's still lively, making it good for both sitting down with a beer to do some writing and for chatting up people on the admittedly rare times I'm being chatty. While there's little food within walking distance--a problem with virtually any Florida suburb--there's a lot within short driving distance, and a taco truck recently set up semi-permanently in the parking lot. (I haven't had a chance to try them yet.)

Brewery #394 On our…read moreway back home from Tampa, I took an off the route a tad bit to stop at Tidal Brewing. Tidal Brewing isn't much on atmosphere, but they make up for it with a solid bunch of beers. Tidal is located in an old, somewhat rundown strip mall that is next to an abandoned gas station. Some of the parking places were the actual gas pumps or former gas pumps. The inside is fine with an assortment of board games, tables, booths and a bar. The beer is really good. I asked for a flight, but they don't have flight boards. You can get as many 5 oz pours as you want in pint glasses. The only issue here is carrying 6-pint glasses to your booth. No biggie. I was a big fan of their Horchata Porter, Turbid Waters (hazy IPA) and the Dunkelweissen. Pretty tasty. There is no food onsite but there was a Marco's pizza in the strip mall, some shady looking food truck around the corner, and a Latin restaurant next door. If I was just judging on the beer, 4 stars. The server was nice and if I was a local, I'd be a regular.

It's an old house that's been transformed into a restaurant and each room has a theme. Super tight and small private parking lot so recommend parking on the road. All parking is free. When we arrived it was around 11:40ish and the wait time was 1 hour! Yes we waited. I was starving. We got called around the 40 minute mark. Taken to our table and waited and waited and waited -- probably 20ish minutes later we got our order taken! Drinks came out and the ice was already lacking, you could tell it was melted. They were out of the butterfly tea. The regular iced tea I ordered unsweetened with a bit of sweet was bitter and very dark in color. Bleh. For food I ordered the Honey You Must Try This which is fried chicken, spinach, tomato, crispy onion straws, house made cream cheese and honey mustard on top. The crepe itself was good but there was nothing that set this place apart for me! It did need more dressing and I think they forgot my cream cheese because I didn't see or taste it. Took awhile for the food to come out. Overall we were there a little over 2 hours! Crazy! The place is crazy busy and I'm not sure if it's a staffing issue or what but some improvements are needed. They need more shade in the front areas where they have benches and such for guests to wait. It's FL and the heat is no joke! The AC inside doesn't feel cold because so many people are inside and it's an old house. Staff and service is lacking. Not once did we get checked on during our time here. Actually if we needed something we had to get up and find someone or wait until they came to another table and flag them down. Decor is great and cute.
