A nearby table had a loud phone conversation on speaker in Spanish, and the waiter and general manager both apologized for the disruption. A suggestion for improvement: the hostess stand could better direct casually dressed guests to the more relaxed back room designed for less formal dining, rather than seating them in the main upscale section. Advise patrons to take cell phone calls outside! Prime 88 has an option of a Caesar salad dressing with romaine lettuce. We had the châteaubriand which was excellent but was market price and seemed very high compared to Prime 88. Beef at Prime.88 is dry aged. Prime 88 also comes to your table and slices it for you. We had the dessert which was the lava cake. Excellent. Prime 88 has a very nice wine cellar. The two of them then got into an argument in front of customers about when she was supposed to press a button in the system to notify Grubhub that the food was ready. Very uncomfortable and unprofessional. They apologized and told me they hadn't even started the food yet, so it would be another 15-20 minutes. I waited patiently in my car, went back in, and the food was finally hot, so I rushed home. Once I opened my meal, I realized they gave me the wrong order. Instead of the ziti and eggplant meal I ordered, they gave me plain baked ziti -- and it was very dry. I called immediately, and the girl told me they could remake it, but only if I drove all the way back. After already waiting an extra 20 minutes, I asked if there was another option. She said they could offer a gift certificate, but only when the manager returned. She promised the manager would call me. I never heard from anyone. The next day I called again and was told the manager wouldn't be in until Wednesday. I waited, and Wednesday came and went with no follow-up at all. For a $20 order, the situation could have been handled so easily. Instead, I listened to staff arguing, received the wrong meal, and then got zero accountability or customer service afterward. They even tried to blame the Grubhub system until they finally admitted they could see I did order eggplant and ziti. What happened to simply taking care of the customer?
