New owners. Was given wrong item twice that was ordered at counter. Simple I wanted Large Wonton soup with only 5 Wontons, I want mostly soup. She gave me 5 fried Wontons instead and no soup. Went back and girl again gave me 10 Wontons instead my large soup. Then argued with me "That is how it comes 10 per order." told her she could keep the other 5 and give me more soup. This Chinese Restuarant is one of the only chinese restaurants I have ever written a bad review on. After carefully reviewing my experience I determined that it was all about the restaurants descision to use the cheapest ingredients. The shrimp in the dished I ordered were the smallest I have ever seen. After a few bites from each dish I decided to throw everything in the trash. Agree with some others who have commented this is one of the better Chinese restaurants in SPRING HILL. The staff is friendly and very nice. Food is made fresh and fast! The store was clean and had all the necessities. This is my favorite place so far! Rice: 7/10 fresh veggies, chunks of meat, good seasoning. Their rice is actually fried not random yellow soft rice. Meats: 8/10 meat cuts have been typical, texture is right and flavor on point Sauces: 9/10 most dishes have been made to "street/fast food Chinese style" aka it's what you expect and doesn't taste or appear overly greasy. Chinese restaurants have a tendency to overdo the sugar which changes the flavor of the sauce but Chopstix does it right. Veggies: always fresh and cooked to perfection Overall this place is great! Food is excellent but good luck asking for sauces via DoorDash. Amazingly, they can read the special instructions if you want extra meat or add vegetables so they can charge accordingly. However, asking for sauce packets seems to elude the staff. read more

This place is the Real Deal! All the veggies mixed with pasta, rice, beef, chicken or seafood or just veggies alone are always amazingly fresh! Oh and especially the shrimp. You can tell it's fresh and not pre-cooked already because it's always the perfect texture. Never overdone and somewhat mushy like I experienced with another Asian restaurant not too far from this one or of which I am no longer a customer. I started going to Chopstix a few weeks after they opened when I was searching Yelp for the best Chinese food restaurant nearby and was reading the reviews. Chopstix had the best overall reviews and they were new so I gave them a try. And trust me, I am very picky when it comes to Asian cuisine, and pretty picky in general when it comes to fast food in general, including American cuisine. They did not disappoint. Besides the great food, what's truly amazing is their customer service. Somehow they quickly knew me by name the minute I walk thru the door or even when I called in an order. I don't have leave my name because they already know who I am by what I order. WHO DOES THAT??? They even know how I like some of the items I order (spicy or not spicy) and if I'm ordering for just myself, my husband or my mom. I was shocked because I think after just my second or 3rd visit, this is how it went down. And it's not like I'm even there on a weekly basis. More like once a month or every other month and usually on a random day of the week. What's more impressive is the fact that each time I went there I was wearing a mask. So about 2 weeks ago, I went in for the first time without it and they still recognized me, having not ever seen my actual face before! Mind-blowing!!! I was so impressed I had to take my husband there so he could see for himself. He too was surprised and he's not easily impressed. This review is long overdue so I'll stop here. I just wanted to give credit where credit is deserved and just say Chopstix not only has the best Asian cuisine in Hernando county but they also have very nice, very professional and extremely humble people working there. The quality of food at this restaurant is absolutely amazing, and the best so far that I've had in Spring Hill. They were kind enough to be open all day on Christmas Eve and keep my order hot while I was stuck in traffic on my way to pick it up. I will absolutely be ordering from there from now on. I was so extremely happy with the quality, portions and prices. I have lived in Spring Hill for a year and haven't had Chinese because every other place has. Even awful. I was a regular at this place until they were rude and couldn't accommodate a simple request. All I wanted was wonton soup instead of an egg roll with a combo, they refused to do it, willing to lose my business. I instead went across the street to their competition who was more than willing to accommodate my simple request. I used to go in there 2 to 3 times a week, never again. Update: Decided to give them another try today, wife went in to order a pint of chicken and shrimp in brown sauce and they refused the order saying we needed to choose one or the other. This is an inexpensive fast food Chinese restaurant. The food is ok, some meals are better than others. I do wish they would use chicken breast in their entrée orders. The lunch specials are large portions at inexpensive prices. The fried rice, sesame chicken and lo mein are some of the menu items that I have tried. Staff is nice, quick and efficient. i decided to try takeout from this Chinese restaurant late on a Sunday night. After reading menu, decided on House Special Fried Rice. Double checked to be sure and was told yes it comes with pork,chicken,and shrimp. I ordered a large tray as it was for 8 people, without vegetables. Was surprised to see how fast it was ready. That should have tipped me off. However, I made the mistake of not opening to check my order was correct. When I got home, what a disappointment. The large tray had nothing but fried rice and shrimp! No pork and no chicken. I wasn't able to eat as I don't eat shrimp. I was going to have pork and chicken with the rice, but as I said it was nothing but rice and shrimp. Just horrible! Ordered 4 dinners last evening then the chaos started when we got home and discovered one order missing. Called the site to fix situation and we were told no we were wrong nothing is missing. Wr split up these 3 dinners and each one of us have been sick since. My family has eaten food from them for years, but the last few times we've ordered food from them the quality and taste has deteriorated drastically. We ordered the family meal and the refried rice was dried out and the peas were like rocks. It tasted like it had been sitting out for days. It really ruined our meal as we chose rice to go under our entrees. The rest of the meal was just ok. We went back to the restaurant to tell them our issue with the rice and they just said no that's not true, Really!!! They said the peas are supposed to be hard and the rice is not dry and if we don't like it don't come back. Then they started ranting to each other behind the counter in Chinese. Talk about rude. Never will eat here again! Horrid service. We ordered the Triple Delight and a Happy Family dinner. When we got our food home, we had 2 Happy Family's. My husband went back up there to get our order fixed, as the Triple Delight does not have Onion or Broccoli, both which I can't stand, but just corn, mushrooms and snow peas (per their menu) and why I ordered it. My husband was gone forever and finally returned to tell me they not only refused to fix our order, but stated that they don't use their own menu! Incredible! We placed an order at this location for some dumplings and various other dishes. The dumplings were left out and when we called to inquire what we got was a short tempered argument and then the man in the store decided to start yelling at my wife over if we or didn't order said dumplings.
