The food at Double Yummy was okay, but unfortunately, I just don't see the hype. I had tried it once before and ordered takeout shrimp in garlic sauce, but I wasn't particularly impressed. I decided to give it another try and ordered the house special fried rice to go. Everything was fine, but nothing really stood out or made me want to rush back. I've heard some really good reviews about this place, so maybe I just had different expectations. I have to admit, I'm also comparing it to the Chinese food I'm used to getting up North. I truly miss that style of Chinese food--and even the pizza! There's just something about the flavors and quality that I haven't been able to find here. Spring Hill has quite a few Chinese food options, but in my opinion, the quality just isn't the same as what I was used to up North. There are plenty of choices, but finding one that really stands out can be a challenge. Overall, Double Yummy is an okay Chinese restaurant. Nothing was bad about my experience, but nothing was particularly memorable either. I may try something different next time, but for now, I'm still searching for that Chinese food that reminds me of home. read more

We are here on a Saturday night around 5:30. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. There were about 20 tables total, mostly 4 top. There were already about 6 tables taken. We didn't have to wait for a table and picked a booth. Thankfully the ice water tasted good. We had the egg rolls and they were crisp and tasty, not greasy. We all tried soup- one egg drop, one wonton and one hot and sour. All were piping hot and delicious. I had the Mongolian beef with fried rice. The beef was tender and veggies nice and soft with a bite. My daughter had the beef and broccoli. Tender beef and crisp broccoli. My husband had the chicken and beef with garlic sauce. The sauce was fabulous and the meat was very tender as well. The portions were great. The prices were reasonable. We will be back to try more! read more

General Tso's Chicken is my favorite with fried rice is outstanding. So is the service! The restaurant is very clean.

If you are looking for Chinese food, I think Double Yummy is it? I have tried other Chinese places in the area, both dine in and takeout however, in my opinion, this is the best Chinese food in the Spring Hill area. read more

We came a while back and ordered the Sampler Platter, Egg Rolls and Chicken Chow Mein and it was delish!!; Went the other day..Beef Fried Rice and General Tso lunch special that comes with the Won Ton Soup and also an Egg Roll ...service was quick and the food was hot and delicious ..they also have the Crispy Noodles as well...love this place..my favorite!!! My friends and I have been reading on the local restaurant social media groups about how amazing Double Yummy is. With 4.6 stars on Yelp and 4.4 on my favorite mapping software, I figured it's probably average-to-good. We decided to give it a try. Our server was incredibly sweet and prompt, always checking on us and our water level. That said, the food was very mediocre. I had the Sweet and Sour Chicken, and it tasted like every other S&S chicken I've ever had. I know these restaurants all get their stuff from the same suppliers. So I basically expect the same mediocrity at every "chinese" restaurant. And that's what I got here. Mediocre. I was happy that it was served hot; extra points for that for sure. But it's still the same premade stuff as anywhere else. My friend had the chicken fried rice, and he said the chicken tasted like it was from a can. It looked like cream-colored uniformly shaped blobs. What's wild Is the number of glowing reviews on social media for Double Yummy. "Amazing" "Delicious" Literally people saying it's the best Chinese in all of Hernando county. I think everyone needs to travel a little more. The dumplings were pretty good. I go often for takeout. Their vegetarian options are many. I especially love the eggplant in garlic sauce. Hot and Sour soup is marvelous. They are always pleasant and the restaurant appears well cleaned. I used to work on Worth St. NYC, near Chinatown, and this is the best place I have been to in the Spring Hill/Brooksville FL area. Double yummy not to be confused with yummy garden is a fantastic Chinese restaurant. They have a wide selection of dishes and the staff is superb and attention to your needs. This is a great place for lunch for dinner if you're in the mood for good Chinese food. I highly recommend it. read more

Food was not especially good. The wonton soup had things floating in them that were soggy and I think normally the consumer adds the things themselves if they want them. I wasn't expecting much , little place in a half empty strip mall . Friends said it was delicious and I was skeptical but I was 100% wrong . Walked in server greeted us with a smile and once we were seated got our drinks and took our order. Food came quickly and I was pleasantly surprised . Fried rice had nice vegetables and a great flavor and none of that greasiness some have . Hubby ordered boneless ribs and I got chicken wings we shared lomein and each had an egg roll. I can't think of a single negative about this place. Lesson learned don't let the appearance fool you this place is terrific! read more

This was the best Chinese we have ever had. I had Hunan shrimp with broccoli, carrots, zucchini, green peppers, and mushrooms, and I swear a dozen shrimp. Everything was fresh, colorful and delicious. My husband had his usual General Tso's Chicken. The chicken pieces were large, tender with a spicy yummy sauce. We left with enough for lunch the next day. They are located on Commercial Way behind Cody's and Chili's. We will definitely go back. The waitress were wonderful. I ordered lunch Sesame Chicken today to go. The employee was pleasant and I received a very cold canned beverage with my order. The food was terrible and I ended up throwing it out. The sesame chicken was the worst I have had from any restaurant ever and the fried rice was dry and bland and had no other discernible ingredients.
