I decided to give it another try and ordered the house special fried rice to go. Everything was fine, but nothing really stood out or made me want to rush back. I've heard some really good reviews about this place, so maybe I just had different expectations. I have to admit, I'm also comparing it to the Chinese food I'm used to getting up North. I truly miss that style of Chinese food--and even the pizza! There's just something about the flavors and quality that I haven't been able to find here. Spring Hill has quite a few Chinese food options, but in my opinion, the quality just isn't the same as what I was used to up North. There are plenty of choices, but finding one that really stands out can be a challenge. Overall, Double Yummy is an okay Chinese restaurant. Nothing was bad about my experience, but nothing was particularly memorable either. I may try something different next time, but for now, I'm still searching for that Chinese food that reminds me of home.

Golden Wok! Golden Wok!…read more Golden Wok! I did not see a "golden wok" inside only regular colored wok's but their regular colored wok's are making "Golden wok" magic! OuiOui :)... There used to be a fabulous Chinese Takeout across the street "ChinaTown" but it changed hands & went downhill so fast OMG! The last couple times we ordered from them it was so bad we couldn't eat Chinese food for a whole year! LOL Anyhoo, hubby visits his IT department/warehouse in Spring Hill at least once a week & sometimes picks up dinner before coming home. His IT people turned him onto "Golden Wok" so he picked up some "Golden Wok" & WOZA! "Golden Wok" Rocks! We have had a very hard time finding good Chinese Take out & we both cover large areas of Florida driving around all the time, haven't found anything we like until we were turned onto "Golden Wok!" The first time we both got wonton soup & crispy noodles. Both excellent. They make a bag of "crispy noodles" for $1 that is very good! It's a large portion as well. If you are in the mood for soup, do not pass on the $1 bag of freshly fried crispy noodles. They are delicious! So is the wonton soup. OuiOui :)... Anyhoo, the second time we were together. When we walked in they were super busy, had ALL the woks going! A whole line of them, slingin Chinese food so fast, you can see them cooking from the front. There were DoorDash people sitting around in the front waiting on food, people coming & going non-stop to pick up Chinese takeout... The front is super cute with like 3 tables. One big one & two small ones. So you can dine-in if you choose & this place has some serious people watching ambiance OuiOui ! They have the incense going, so it smells so good, like you are in a real Chinese restaurant in China Town! Hahahaha. Anyhoo, we ordered hubby's fave, dragon & Phoenix, which he LOVED! He gets that every time :)... We also got Singapore me fun (spicy) & shrimp egg foo young to share. They were both fabulous! They sent a container of hot chili oil with the Singapore me Fun, which I LOVED & really appreciated :)... The Singapore me Fun was completely loaded with chicken, pork, & nice size shrimp, light on the noodles actually, we both loved it. Would def order again OuiOui :).. The shrimp egg foo young was also cooked perfectly & loaded with nice size shrimp! Their curry gravy, the best one I have ever had. Even hubby said it was the best one he has ever had OuiOui :)... The Shrimp egg foo young with the curry gravy is a MUST ORDER. Superb. Winners Circle indeed :)... We also ordered the shrimp toast. They were cooked properly, but they had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. Skip the Shrimp Toast. Do not recommend the shrimp toast. With our order, we received two pork egg-rolls. I stopped ordering eggrolls a long time ago bc no one could make them right! Not Golden Wok. Golden Wok makes perfect egg rolls. PERFECT EGG ROLLS! Get the "Golden Wok Egg Rolls!" :)... I noticed people saying in the reviews their Shrimp egg rolls are fabulous OuiOui. Now, I can't wait to order the Shrimp Egg rolls from "Golden Wok!" Golden Wok! Golden Wok! Golden Wok! I always order the pepper steak with plain fried rice with onions. They always cut the pepper and onions very big so you have less meat in your combination platter. I don't want a bunch of chunky vegetables with barely meat I'm not paying $13 for no steak. I do ask for light vegetables, however they alway find a way to make it look like you have a lot and there really isn't. Sometimes you get more rice or less rice. Never equaled portions. I still eat here since it's down the street from where I live. Also when you order they barely know any English so there's always going to be some mix up if you don't explain your order very clearly.
