I'm not sure why this place is listed as permanently closed. We were there yesterday and it's absolutely open! The space is well decorated and the staff is super inviting. We did the all you can eat and it was a lot! Their rule is you'll be charged for excess waste so we were sure to eat everything we ordered. We ordered: edamame, seaweed salad, cucumber salad, spring rolls, fancy roll, yum yum roll, rainbow rolls, dragon roll, spicy tuna hand roll, miso soup, karaange chicken, and sesame balls. I ended with strawberry ice cream. The only thing I would not order again was the sesame ball app. Everything else was decent at its price point. I can't say I was expecting amazing from this place, but I wanted to try it anyway in my so-far-unfinished quest to find good sushi in Hernando County. So you pay a fee for all you can eat -- I think $28. The non-sushi items come quickly. The sushi takes a little while. My friend ordered some scallops, and he said they were good. We also ordered some Gyoza, ginger and seaweed salads which were good. We ordered 4 types of sushi, and I thought they were all 3/10. They did not taste freshly made, more like they had been sitting in a refrigerator and then plated and garnished after we ordered. Also, the texture was off on each roll I tried. The fish tasted extremely cheap. And then there's the delay in getting the sushi -- I wondered if the long time for sushi delivery was intentionally done hoping the customer fills up on other all-you-can-eat items. I also ordered the clear soup, which tasted like dirt and was one of the most disgusting soups I've ever tried. The servers were nice. The robot was a little gimmicky, especially since a human server follows the robot and puts the items on the table from it. But, maybe that's a harbinger to our future of serving our robot overlords. First of all, my entire party will be making their reviews because we all are SICK and its BAD. Its a party of 4 and everyone is CURRENTLY extremely sick. Lets dive right into it, Ill start with the food, service, and ambiance. The food, the presentation is immaculate compared to what they used to do with the sushi, its cute and pretty how creative they are now with with putting the dishes together, heck even the dishware itself is adorable but sometimes that gorgeous costing $30 should have been a red flag to me. The majority of the party ordered Miso soup, which is usually one of the first things to come out at most places and thats how it used to be but instead we ended up getting our fried/pan seared apps first which was a little weird, after some time (they were busy) we think its our soup thats coming but instead it was everyones main dishes, we were all a little surprised but shrugged it off, most of us are already done with our first main dishes when we finally get the Miso. Mind you in that time three of us had made a very weird discovery about our sushi, I have no clue what sushi paper they use for specific rolls like the (Shrimp Tempura Roll and the Sunshine Roll) but it was weirdly thick, to the point when I went to swallow a roll, everything went down together except the Seaweed paper, half of it was down my throat and the other half wasnt but whats crazy is was able to pull the Seaweed paper out of my throat in one whole piece, I didnt want to write everything off because this one roll y'know I WANT to like this place, like I used to before the new owners. So i tried the Sunshine roll and the same thing happened, I couldnt do it anymore. The taste of it all was good but the discoveries made the experience unejoyable. What also didnt help was they now have a weird service system, the girl took our orders and left and we didnt see her for sometime, like at all not even walking around, she just vanished and would randomly reappear to ask us if we wanted anything else, by the time she finally came back two members of my party forgot what they wanted. The last owners had these cool sheets that you wrote on to place your order which made things fun, different and easy, it wasnt like any other place and we loved it, now you just tell the waitress like everywhere else, yeah not a big deal so what but thats what made Legend special. The ambiance is almost the same, give back the random, k-pop, j-pop, and instrumental music. Like what was the purpose of getting rid of it!? Whatever is doesnt matter because my whole party will not becoming back because we ALL got Gastroenteritis from this place or aka Stomach Flu. Someone in that kitchen was SICK and working and NOT properly washing their hands and I know for a FACT it was from here because two weeks before Legend opened my party and I went to Wasabi and had zero stomach issues but we find out this place is open again and wanted to check it out, one of the biggest mistakes of our lives. Ive been out of work for days now to the point where my manager wants speak to me about accommodation leave, thats how bad it is this type of sickness HAS to run its own course unfortunately. Screw all you can eat, when you can pick 3 Rolls, your choice of soup or salad or two of the same thing all for $20 at Wasabis. I think Id rather pay less for better food than to pay more and have to roll the dice and hope that the people in the back are sanitary and washing their hands and if they wear gloves then it must be from the dishware (The plates and bowls). SOMETHING OR SOMEONE isnt properly doing something here and we will never come back. Im in agony and so is the rest of my party. Sorry.. Also when we went we didnt see it anymore, bring back the robot, you unsanitary fiends! Just straight up diabolical.... We were warned that Legend wasn't very good, but we decided to try it out for ourselves. The first time we went wasn't a great experience - but it turns out that may have just been because of the server we had. We usually give a place a couple tries before a review, and I'm glad we did. It was our first time here, and my husband and I were impressed with the atmosphere and the food. We didn't choose to do the all-you-can-eat this time but might try that in the future. We have another restaurant that we typically go to on Friday night, but I'm glad we checked out Legend Sushi House. The only thing I would ding the restaurant on is the constant chatter from the two gals who were working. The food was all mush and the sushi was warm even when RAW. The miso soup was cloudy, the tempura was squishy, the SALMON WAS ROTTEN. Everything was microwaved and so fishy tasting. Visited a few times and will definitely be back. We were seated right away and staff was very attentive. They have an all you can eat option or ordering individual dishes from the same menu. If you like the larger specialty rolls, the all you can eat might be more cost effective. We ordered off the menu and the prices were very reasonable. Food is delivered by a cute, polite robot accompanied by a server. It's actually a pretty smart way to avoid staff carrying a lot of stuff from the kitchen. went to this restaurant for the first time tonight with my wife. the waitress didnt understand english so we had to get another waitress to explain what we wanted and how we wanted it cooked. I ordered the chicken hibachi with the vegetables soft and my wife ordered the beef hibachi with the vegetables also soft. again the waitress didnt understand soft vegetables and a spicy tuna roll and clear soup. the roll was cut so think that i had to cut it with my fork and my soup was not the clear soup. when our dinners came out the chicken was cubed and hard as a rock and my wife's beef was the same way. both out vegetables were hard and barely cooked, we have been to a lot of chinese and sushi restaurants and this started off bad and was bad right through to the end. I went in very hungry and with low expectations- which this place far exceeded. I mean look, it's all you can eat sushi for $25 pp. that pays for like 3 pieces of sushi in New York City.
