This is a good place to come for a beer/cocktail and the view. Service was good. The burgers were ok. The grouper was decent. Conch fritters were not good nor were jalapeño poppers (runny). The conch fritters were almost all breading with very little conch but still somehow managed to taste fishy? They have what appears to be a food truck off to the side, not an actual kitchen. Our party of 4 arrived about 6:20pm on Friday night. Kitchen closes at 7pm so it was perfect timing. Sitting by the water for the sunset was lovely. Our server was friendly and helpful. The table favorite as far as food was the Boom Boom Shrimp! We also had chicken fajitas, Philly cheesesteak, fried cod and fish tacos around the table. I was impressed at the serving size of the chicken fajitas, it came with a whole plate full of grilled chicken, onions and peppers and you make the fajitas yourself with the provided shells and add ins. I had a wonderful lunch here today! It was a gloomy windy day but it still felt so nice to dine out by the water. I was hoping I could get a grouper or snapper ruben sandwich today but I found out it's a special they don't always have. I'll be sure to check out for when it becomes available again. We loved going to the Tropical Grille with the clams coming from Ipswich Ma. We arrived at 11:30 a.m. and got our choice seating by the canal. I ordered the Gloucesterman Platter, which was very dark and looked like the oil should have been changed. My wife ordered the Ipswich Wholebelly Clam Basket, which was also very dark (oil). We were the first people to be served, so the oil should have been fresh. The platter portion was also smaller than in the past. This is our second time that the oil needed changing. This is a hidden gem on the water, next to a marina. It's all outdoor dining. Mostly under a large tiki hut and a patio with umbrella tables. Our server was Liz and she was super friendly and attentive. I had the grilled shrimp basket. It was all delicious. The fries were like the crispy McDonald's fries. They have Coke products but no Coke Zero. They have motorcycle parking closest to the water, but the parking lot is fairly small in general. read more

Have eaten here a handful of times. Tonight had a fisherman's platter to go to take over to Marker 48 to listen to live music. The seafood was fresh. It was not the largest platter especially if you are used to Woodmans size platter in Essex Ma but it was good. My favorite it always the shrimp but we went as my friend wanted the whole belly clams. I personally would have liked them a bit cleaner but she really enjoyed them. I would go again and appreciate having something from the "north shore" here in Hernando. read more

This place is great. The service is always fast and the ambiance is great. It's right on the canal in Hernando Beach and has a fantastic view of the sunset. Then there is the food...quite possibly the best blackened grouper sandwich I've ever had. The conch fritters are great. The fish dip is amazing. The grouper bites taste so fresh (just like the sandwich mentioned) that you'd think the fryer and you were sitting on the boat at the middle grounds and it had just been caught. Lobster Rolls are the best ever!! We cannot say enough about how good they were! We did the lobster roll special. Highly worth it. The lobster & the roll were fresh. The side of melted butter helped moisten the bread on the roll. Plenty of lobster. The roll was stuffed. Don't get us wrong we did enjoy the crab bisque soup, coleslaw & fries too. Unique little spot located next to the marina. Great location with breezy water views and good food. We started out with the seared ahi tuna and it was perfectly seared for us as my wife and I like it more raw than seared. It came with wasabi, soy and some type of yum yum sauce which was delicious. We also got the blackened grouper sandwich and that came with tomato, lettuce and a chipotle tartar. The tartar quickly made its way onto my sandwich after tasting it. Service was quick and friendly. This convenience attract a lot of dog owner bring your dog to the restaurant. It is dog friendly restaurant. We brought our dog and my family to enjoy the view and food. Since the restaurant is very close to the water, they has a fresh seafood that you can choose. We got the blackened grouper, fried oyster, burger, and fish taco. They did the blacken very well with the flavor that I like. The coating of the fried oysters was very nice. The oysters are also bigger size compared to many oyster we have eaten.
