I hate to say nothing unexpected but with Hernando Beach Tropical Grill as always the lobster rolls were delicious , the fries were hot and crispy, the fried clams were hot and crunchy and Sarah out server was that perfect blend of available without hovering . Conch fritters were not good nor were jalapeño poppers (runny). The conch fritters were almost all breading with very little conch but still somehow managed to taste fishy? They have what appears to be a food truck off to the side, not an actual kitchen. Did not offer tap water so we had to buy bottled water and also no coffee except flavored pod-type. read more

Our party of 4 arrived about 6:20pm on Friday night. Kitchen closes at 7pm so it was perfect timing. We also had chicken fajitas, Philly cheesesteak, fried cod and fish tacos around the table. I was impressed at the serving size of the chicken fajitas, it came with a whole plate full of grilled chicken, onions and peppers and you make the fajitas yourself with the provided shells and add ins. We loved going to the Tropical Grille with the clams coming from Ipswich Ma. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We arrived at 11:30 a.m. and got our choice seating by the canal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the Gloucesterman Platter, which was very dark and looked like the oil should have been changed. My wife ordered the Ipswich Wholebelly Clam Basket, which was also very dark (oil). We were the first people to be served, so the oil should have been fresh. The platter portion was also smaller than in the past. This is our second time that the oil needed changing. We used to rave about the food but think we will try other food venues instead. read more

This is a hidden gem on the water, next to a marina. It's all outdoor dining. Mostly under a large tiki hut and a patio with umbrella tables. Our server was Liz and she was super friendly and attentive. I had the grilled shrimp basket. It was all delicious. The fries were like the crispy McDonald's fries. Have eaten here a handful of times. Tonight had a fisherman's platter to go to take over to Marker 48 to listen to live music. The seafood was fresh. It was not the largest platter especially if you are used to Woodmans size platter in Essex Ma but it was good. My favorite it always the shrimp but we went as my friend wanted the whole belly clams. I personally would have liked them a bit cleaner but she really enjoyed them. I would go again and appreciate having something from the "north shore" here in Hernando. read more

We started out with the seared ahi tuna and it was perfectly seared for us as my wife and I like it more raw than seared. It came with wasabi, soy and some type of yum yum sauce which was delicious. We also got the blackened grouper sandwich and that came with tomato, lettuce and a chipotle tartar. The tartar quickly made its way onto my sandwich after tasting it. Service was quick and friendly. The place is a little small, which I am not complaining about, but I wouldn't suggest going during high volume times. We will definitely be back! read more

This convenience attract a lot of dog owner bring your dog to the restaurant. It is dog friendly restaurant. We brought our dog and my family to enjoy the view and food. Since the restaurant is very close to the water, they has a fresh seafood that you can choose. We got the blackened grouper, fried oyster, burger, and fish taco. They did the blacken very well with the flavor that I like. The coating of the fried oysters was very nice. The oysters are also bigger size compared to many oyster we have eaten. The restaurant provide a bowl of water for the dog. The only thing that they can improve on is to make the shade and umbrella a little bigger. read more
