Another amazing evening of fun entertainment and the best sunset on the Gulf of Mexico! The food truck offerings filled the air as we exited our vehicle. We decided to share one of our favorite haunts in Cedar Key Florida.with our friend Laura before she heads back to blustery Iowa. She loved it and found the entertainment to be very enjoyable. The vibes of this place were great! I loved the outdoor seating options and the live music (shout out to the broken string band) was amazing! There was a nice sea breeze and a pier you could walk out on with a few tables there too. There is a food truck that is always on site that serves some tasty beef tacos with a delicious homemade pico as well as several other food options. Drink service at the bar was very slow as several people (I assume locals) came in after me but were served before me. It's great that everyone knows everyone, but we out of towners would like to support you too. We only ended up getting one drink each because of this. read more

3 rd trip to Lowkey with our Rv, this time however things have changed, but not for the better. Definitely over priced for narrow back-in sites, but then again we were aware of the high cost. No one from the office have checked on us a single time. We backed in unassisted, hooked up to sewer, sewer site had dried toilet paper ring around it, tried to dump grey water only to find sewer was clogged and unusable, staff was alerted and 3 hours later problem fixed. However 2 days later, still no one dropped by to check if all was ok.. granted cedar key is a laid back place and rustic, but at the price, one should expect some contact with the staff on some level, but rv'ers seem to be largely ignored. 2 ND issue, I know there's a band on weekend, so expected some level of noise, but the thumping, loud Obnoxious noise thundering through the rv is not something to look forward to. If it was reasonable cost, things could be overlooked easier. See ya. read more

Cool bar, beautiful views. But the BEDT BLOODY MARY ever!! Yummmmmmm. It's worth the drive no matter where you are! They have had people for Arkansas come in for them! They are totally worth it! The most incredible Bloody Mary EVER! Lettuce, beef jerky (tangy), pepperoni, Munster cheese,horseradish cheese, pepperoncini, salami, gherkin pickles, spiced shrimp, orange slice & lime wedge. We had ours spicy which is jalapeno infused vodka, soaked for a couple of days before serving. It's worth the drive alone!! Open 2 pm - 10 pm! read more

I'm so mad it took us until our last night in Cedar Key to check this place out! We passed it almost every day and finally decided we needed to check it out. When passing it on the street, the sign says they have the best sunset view on the island. While I'm sure this is true, unfortunately we went on a cloudy night, but everything else was great! When you walk in, you're immediately greeted with funky decor, which I absolutely loved. We ordered a daquiri and a pina colada, and both were delicious. There were plenty of places to sit, the playlist was on point, and the bartender was amazing! Wish I had a few more nights on the island just so I could visit this spot a few more times. read more

Funky little roadside, waterfront (most of the time, haha) tiki bar with a dock and a firepit. Lots of seating around the fire and on the dock for sunset viewing. There are a few RV pads and motel rooms onsite, which seem to make an interesting mix of customers along with the locals that show up around happy hour. We were there on a Friday and Morgan the bartender took good care of us while were treated to some live local music. Very cool spot for a beverage and some laid back atmosphere. read more

Nestled just off the shoulder before Bridge One into Cedar Key and cleverly cloaked within a RV campground (9 slots) and small motel (5 rooms) is perhaps the finest waterside Tiki bar this side of Key West. A house rules sign above the bar command patrons to have no drama or political discussion ensuring good vibes among the locals, tourists, waterman, naturists, campers, and all mothers lucky enough to roll into this watering hole. house menu is a collection of craft cocktails, most with some tropical theme both straight martinis and margaritas, fruity variety as well as blended ice cold coladas. the bloody mary was a meal with a huge shrimp, two slices of bacon, cheese and pickled veggies garnish and some sort of thin flat glazed jerky. Highly recommend the dirty banana colada, wife had it with chocolate liquor and just a tad better than mine with espresso liquor. they have good florida crift beer options, CCB Jai Ali. Dukes cold nose, swamp head midnight oil etc. bar is tiny with a makeshift, fishcamp feel. Recycled bottle and concrete walls, license plates on the ceiling joists, , lots of crazy knick knacks decorations in every corner of this small space. Dock out to the flats with tables and chairs and two umbrellas. other outside features include a fire pit, corn hole, live music occasionally (saturday) and they had a fire pit going. we were in CK the 4th of July weekend so it was busy, i can imagine that it might be quite slow other times as CK in general is low speed island time and this is about a mile out of town. read more

Loved it here. We stopped in after a day in Cedar Key, and boy were we glad we did. This place has atmosphere like no other place I have been. There are funny signs all over the place. The bar tender explained that people bring them in for them to hang up. Some of them are hilarious! They also have a great collection of license plates as well. Next time we are in town we'll have to bring something. The seating area is awesome and the service is great. We were looking online and they also have rooms you can stay in, so we will definitely check that out next time. All in all a great fun place and we will surely return the next time we are in Florida. read more

RAD bar!! An absolute gem. This place is like an interactive museum, with booze! And lawn games! And plentiful comfy spots to lounge and watch the sunset! Coming from CA, I was surprised that a place called a "tiki bar" lacked the majority of what I expect on a tiki bar menu (i.e. an overwhelming number of rum-based fruity drinks with salty names and excessive garnish), but I don't even care about that because I LOVE THIS PLACE. They can call it whatever they want. The piña colada was super sweet, but good. The classic margarita was absolute perfection. And the Bloody Mary is EVERYTHING. Literally. The Bloody Mary is definitely an experience worth having! The Puerto Rican dude selling food out front sold me the best shrimp taco of my life. The bartenders and the owners are all lovely super awesome people. I'll definitely be looking for an excuse to head to Cedar Key again just so I can visit this tiki bar! Maybe next time I'll rent one of their hotel rooms or RV camping spot! read more

This place was amazing! The atmosphere, service, specialty cocktail and food! We absolutely loved everything about it..... and the food OMG.... The Seawitch was by far the best fish sandwich I have ever had in my life, the shrimp po boy my husband had was just as delicious...... the onion rings on point and crispy. We will definitely be going back and the next time we visit we will be staying here as well. I am not easy to impress when it comes to food or atmosphere.... This place was Awesome! read more

It's kind of a once in a lifetime situation when you have a campsite overlooking a nature preserve and simultaneously hosting a world class tiki bar with a bartender (mixologist actually) who makes and sells her own Bloody Mary mix, house made jerky (spectacular) and picks the mint off a huge plant right on the bar for your mojito which is made with top shelf rum. It's dangerous having this kind of access. But we are brave and will face the danger a week at this campground presents! Not to mention the incredible fresh seafood market next door. This place is amazing. We had a fantastic stay. The property is beautiful, interesting, funky decorations and fun outside They are right on the water with a dock that has amazing sunsets. The property inside and out is well kept and clean. The furniture is comfortable, clean and new. They have a small rv lot nextdoor too, I think it only hold 6-8? The tiki bar has many craft beers and one of a kind cold and frozen drinks. The bartender was amazing! The bar decorations are cool, funky and funny. There are places to sit all over the grounds and docks. You have a patio with seating right outside your back door and close to the water. We had a very relaxing and fun time. You have a full kitchen if you decide to cook. They even supplied everything we needed there. There is a dehumidifier in the room to keep the humidity out so it made a very comfortable. The owners mingled with guest, they made sure you had everything you needed. Fantastic people! read more

Where do I begin? Can't say enough good things about this place! If you're looking for a lowkey getaway w/ the nicest people, this is your place! We stayed in the motel (there are also RV slips). We had plenty of space for my hubs, myself, and our pup. (Yes, they're pet friendly!) Room was clean, had fully stocked kitchen, and items like hairdryer, soap, etc. The tiki hut was right outside our back door...where else can you grab an evening cocktail or breakfast bloody Mary steps from your room?! Remi and Erin were fabulous bartenders and Maureen (the owner) cooked a smorgasbord of st Patty's day corned beef/cabbage...for free!! I love that being here felt just like home.
