I Love Red Lobster and have visited several different ones. Now, I'm funny about floors, especially in a restaurant. When we walked in this one near Commonwealth 20, there was trash, yes TRASH, on the floor including a piece of used straw paper. I told the hostess I'm funny about floors and she said, I'll clean the floor for you. She used some sweeper thing and guess what that straw paper is STILL on the floor. Can't tell you how many peeps have walked past it and utterly refuse to pick it up. Plus there are pieces of paper all over the floor. I'm flabbergasted!!! Also, the place is not very busy! Food was good, but when I went to the bathroom, I heard the sounds of someone having an extremely loud bowel movement. When they were finished, they stepped from the stall and left without washing their hands. The person in question was an employee - a very tall, stocky white guy. Gross. I like Red Lobster. I really do! Though for a chain restaurant, they generally have a crowd of people waiting to go in. While this can be a pain for a diner in a rush; they work hard to get people seated and fed. This is comfort food from the sea. Stuffed Flounder and Shrimp Scampi compete with Crab Legs and the Admiral's Feast on the menu. But, we know why we all go back. The Cheddar Bay Biscuits! They bring them to your table and you weigh your options on how many you can eat without ruining your dinner. The answer is, just keep asking for them. Let the biscuits flow like the spice Melange on Arrakis. While it is not marketed as such; they have been known to grant increased vitality and the ability to navigate Interstellar distances. While, it is not one of my go-to places as the prices are little more than I want to spend on an average day out, the biscuits win me over every time. read more

Went there for Date night..got seated pretty quick. Ordered our food..when they brought out my wife's food..she had a HAIR in her baked potatoe. I was disappointed this afternoon. Red Lobster has never been one of my favorite Seafood restaurants, but the food quality and service has always been fine. We visited the Hull Street location on Saturday afternoon and they were not very busy around 3pm on Labor Day weekend. Helen had grilled shrimp that she said was good. I tried the pound of snow crab legs. The crab legs arrived slightly warmer than room temperature, (not hot), but I did not say anything because I was worried they might get overcooked if I sent them back. The legs taste should have been slightly salty or have the smell of salt water. The taste was actually bland. There was no taste on the legs until I dipped them in butter. I am trying to watch my weight, and thought the crab legs without butter would be great since they are a great source of protein. I was not planning on using any butter because I did not want the fat or calories. The wait staff was excellent as usual. I have never had bad service at this restaurant. The fish never seams to be as fresh as some of the "locally owned" restaurans, but they are usually consistent. We will probably go back to the restaurant, but I will definitely not order the crab legs. read more

This has got to be the best Red Lobster I have ever been to in my life!!!! Had lunch here with a friend. The service was EXCELLENT. His name was Greg and OMG...best customer service I've received in a long time. The cheesy bread was coming out like hot cakes and were great!!! YUMMY!!! I had the create a meal w/3 options: crab legs, walt's shrimps and shrimp scampi. I also had a baked potatoe. I always see Red Lobsters commercial but rarely go in there. It was great!! Exactly what you'd expect from a national chain restaurant. It seems that wherever you go - the quality is the same, which can be a good thing for those that love familiarity. Messed up my famlies orders 3 times the same week. Had surgery and couldn't eat for a week I wanted my first meal to be red lobster. We got a to go order my shrimp was so hard you couldn't eat it, we ordered biscuits they were hard. This was my first time at a Red Lobster ever (shocking, no?) and I got the shrimp lovers plate with shrimp scampi and friend shrimp. I was truly pleasantly surprised by how much I liked my meal. Most chain restaurants are pretty mediocre, but Red Lobster definitely did a great job of retaining quality and interesting dishes. My husband and I went to Red Lobster on Monday 2/10/20 for their Endless Shrimp. We were amazed at the beautiful plates that were served to us. In the past when we ordered shrimp scampi, they were very small but tasty. Tonight the bowl was overfilled with very large shrimp. Excellent dish. This place has really changed. Our Waitress, Brittany, is disconnected with her Clients. Others at the bar are complaining about the wait time. It took about 30 minutes to get our meal. Another guy told her, "I've been sitting her since 7:00 and no one has come to see what I want." It was 7:20. At the time we ordered there were only 3 couples at the bar and lots of empty seats. We came here last week and saw about 10 or more empty tables but was told it would be a half-hour wait. Someone needs to get it together! read more

Red lobster overall has good food but this location did not meet the expectation. My drink was delicious and my lobster dip was great. My entree, shrimp Alfredo noodles was not tender, the sauce was thick and it was not hot along with my cold broccoli. However, the next day when I warmed my food it tasted better because I added a little water and olive oil to thin out the sauce. Pictures of food is misleading. This is one of the best Red Lobsters in the Richmond area. Service is on point, they arent stingy with the handmade gourmet classy Cheddar Bay Biscuits. Decided to enjoy a nice meal at red lobster with my wife. We had a very nice waiter named aarin who took care of us. However our dinner has unacceptable we had ordered shrimp lobster and salmon dinner with baked potatos each , our shrimp was barely cooked and had a rubber taste, salmon was barely cooked as well as the lobster. The plate was supposed to be covered in a brown sauce, but was covered in oil to the point you could not taste the food. My baked potato was dry and undercooked as well. Our waiter got us the manager and he dismissed our concerns by arguing with us that our meal was appropiate and fine was their standards and refused to appologize. My wife and I will not be dinning with this specific red lobster several tables had problems and were verbal about there concerns right next to us. She literally runs from car to car and from the store to the parking lot to bring orders out. She was also great handling a horrible situation totally out of her control on Mother's Day with the overload of Togo orders. Do not go to this Red Lobster with more than 4 in your party. We called ahead and all 6 of us arrived before time but had to wait because the people seated would not leave.They had finished eating and had paid their bill .Three of the six finally left after 45 minutes. Waiter didnt check on us at all but blamed the kitchen for everything. We finally got our food which was great but was missing a meal. We were darn near finished eating before the meal came out. There's nothing I love more than seafood so I was glad when I found this Red Lobster location. I've heard mixed reviews here but my night there went very well. First of all I thought the prices were fairly reasonable. Anyone who goes out for seafood knows that their wallet may take a beating, especially if they order lobster but I was really impressed with their Admirals Feast. It had clam stripes, scallops, double baked shrimp, flounder, plus two sides. My plate was full of food and for once my plate actually looked as good as the picture, something that rarely happens at restaurants. The free cheddar bay biscuits we got before the meal were also delicious and I was able to get two servings of them.
