Lobster roll was lacking on portion size of the meat and the fries were a small portion too. (significantly less than pictured on the menu for both) Definitely not a $30 dish, not worth it. Visited the Red Lobster on Hull Street in Midlothian today and spent nearly $130. I ordered the Tuesday special crab legs over fried potatoes which is advertised at $25. However, we were charged $31. When I asked about the discrepancy, the server explained that adding Old Bay seasoning voided the promotional pricing. Nowhere in the promotion did it state that Old Bay seasoning was excluded. The server claimed she had confirmed this with the manager before placing the order but failed to inform us of any upcharge. When I requested to speak to the manager, a person identifying as a supervisor came over and said they had just received guidance that Old Bay seasoning disqualified the dish from the special. This explanation made little sense, and neither the server nor the supervisor could offer a clear rationale. No solution was offered cc just a dismissive "it is what it is." I stated that we wouldn't be returning, and the supervisor simply responded with "okay." I typically tip 20% when dining out, which in this case would have been $26. Red Lobster essentially lost a loyal customer over $6. Very disappointing experience. Given the company's recent financial struggles, it's not hard to see why they're facing challenges. read more

I SPENT OVER $60 ordering the Lobster Lover's Dream with grilled Brussel sprouts and broccoli and extra butter. But what I got instead: One small rock lobster tail, and a cold, over cooked, mushy bitter Maine lobster tail, No butter at all. No broccoli, but instead I got a single, cold hard, dry baked potato, no toppings, no butter, no chives, no sour cream, nothing at all. So yeah I haven't eaten at a Red Lobster's in years. The last time mid- Covid I ordered to go and the food was very salty and not edible (before that it had been years but we wanted to support the food industry during Covid). Fast forward to Monday, we went because I received a gift card (someone dislikes me, lol) so I figured why not see if anything had improved. Heavy on the sighs but the highlights were the customer service as our waitress was super nice and attentive tho they seemed short staffed. My baked potato was amazing as well as the cheddar bay biscuits and mozzarella sticks! But that's where the excitement ends my friends! My daughter and I opted for the Duo special where she ordered the mozzarella sticks and chicken Caesar Salad (the sticks amazing and the chicken on the salad she stated was seasoned well) the downside of the salad s the letters warm (not sure if the plate was hot or the heat from the chicken but I'm any event it was a pound of warm stalky romaine. She ate what she could. I ordered the fish and chips (opted for the baked potato again it was perfect) side salad (a crazy amount of onion, I love onion but the salad toppings need to accompany the greens, definitely disproportioned. The fish was fried well but lacked any sort of seasoning, I thought the tarter sauce (which for me was historically good, was bland also) would help with flavor but didn't. Sigh. And they plated a small side of slaw which had an odd flavor and clearly hadn't "marinated" long enough to make it palatable. At one time they served good slaw. The meals were $15.99 plus tax. But I think, well I know this will be my last trip unless it's a birthday dinner or something (praying never, lol). And re-gift if I ever get another gift card lol. read more

Though I'm not a huge fan of franchises, I was with a group and they wanted this. Lots of parking. It's in a place where there are other commercial business sites. We were quickly greeted, seated and order taken. I ordered fish and chips and wasted expecting nothing grand. I'm allergic to shellfish sooooooooo about 85% of the menu will make me go to the hospital unless I got super creative with sides, but nobody got time for that hahahaha My friends ordered some pretty dope looking meals but they were not impressed. They are big Red Lobster fans so they were pretty disappointed The lobster bisque that was ordered was returned. The baked potatoes were untouched. The fried boroccoli was dope. We had to wait a while for someone to show up at the hostess stand and was then told it would be a one hour thirty minute wait time. Looking around almost half the tables were empty or waiting to be bussed. I asked her tables are empty, what's the problem? She said they don't have enough help. We were down in VA for a graduation. The family went out to this Red Lobster to celebrate. Everything was great. We had a private area since we were a large group. Our orders were taken quickly and overall the waiting staff was amazing. Marlon specifically was super attentive and did everything he could to make sure we had what we needed. Everyone was pretty content with what they had except my fiance. He ordered the largest lobster and unfortunately it was tough. Despite this he ate it and he said at the end we should let them know after all it was the most extensive thing anyone in our party ordered. Once I got our check I proceeded to privately speak to the waiter and let him know our issue. He said he would speak to the manager (John) and see what he could do. Unfortunately when he got back he told me the manager refused to do anything and he apologized and offered us extra dessert for the road. We accepted his kind gesture but were extremely disappointed when not even the manager could come back and at least offer an apology for the tough lobster. He simply sent the waiter back to tell us nothing could be done. We didn't make a huge deal as we did have an overall good time but we were upset about the lobster. read more

I am in a bit of a food coma as I write this review tonight. This location is under going a renovation which is going to be complete in a few weeks. The new exterior design is a very nice upgrade. The interior is shaping up to look really good too. Wait for a table was around 25 min, so I mosied over to the bar which had plenty of room. Since I was on my own this was no big deal and I usually prefer and enjoy the bar any way. The bartenders were very, friendly and in a great mood tonight. It was nice to sit down and enjoy both baseball and football at two of there three new flat screen TV's located behind the bar. The bread was out quickly and who doesn't love Red Lobster's cheese biscuits... super YUM! I love it when Blue Moon is offered on tap, so this was definitely a nice way to start. I was starved, so I did not want to take long to order. I asked about the Lobster pizza and the bartender recommended so why not. It only took about 5 minutes to crank it out and put it in front of me. The crust was super crispy and overall pretty tasty. There were issues with not clearing dirty dishes, not picking up menus on the counter and not refilling my water. Really no excuse for it, even if busy. I downgraded one star for these areas of concern. The best thing about the meal was desert. Pumpkin pie in a jar... OMG!!!! It was insane good, crazy rich and I busted a gut trying to eat it all. The pie had huge pecans in it and oh I love pecans. It is a limited time only Fall desert. Overall a very good Red Lobster. read more

This was actually so gross. I have never been a picky eater or one to complain at restaurants but this was inedible. I ended up picking out the lobster bits and leaving the rest. The pasta was undercooked, and the sauce had no flavor. The sauce also didn't stick to any of the pasta and just sat in the bottom of the dish. read more

I do not like to give unfavorable reviews so I'm being generous and giving a 3. Unfortunately I was reminded why I had never been to a Red Lobster in over 10 years. The service was good, we went at 4pm on a Monday so it was pretty empty. Server was great & everything was on time. The food was definitely lackluster for a check of $100. We only went so my kid could try lobster tail & now he never wants to try it again. It was overcooked & definitely not worth $13(for the tail only.) My Fish n' Chips were also overcooked & actually chewy, & they put sweet relish in the tartar which is crazy to me. My other kid loved the shrimp though, so that was good! My husband's flounder was good but the seafood mix it was stuffed with was like paste & he took it all out so he could eat the actual fish.
