I almost always enjoy this Red Lobster more than the Independence location but this time we had a rough start, we had to wait almost 5 minutes in the aisle in front of 4 empty tables for someone to clean one for us. Why couldn't we sit at one of the already clean tables? I have no idea. But things got better after that, our server was very friendly and quickly got our drinks and app out. The Tuna Poke was delicious! Crab was awesome as usual - I'm not sure who brought me the smallest amount of butter I'd ever seen but our server soon brought us out more. You know, last time we went here I would have rated it a 1 star with food and service. We were given gift cards over Christmas and decided to use them at the LS location. Our waiter was Christian and was great! We enjoyed bacon wrapped scallops, shrimp crab rangoon, the ultimate feast, etc. Everything was great and much improved. I have to admit that Ihave not been to Red Lobster in years! However, we were out on Black Friday and were hungry and they were...well they were there, so we went in. I remember the days when the lobster tank was filled with lobsters, but on this day there may have been 3. We were seated promptly and the place was not at all noisy or crowded, which was a plus. Our waitress was very sweet and offered great service. Our food, unfortunately, was just okay. I ordered the spicy Cajun linguine. There was no spice at all! I was disappointed. My mom ordered a stuffed flounder that sounded so good, but when it arrived it was bland. How does crab stuff flounder not have any flavor? I ordered my daughter the children shrimp and fries (which are her favorite), but she did not care for the shrimp, which was surprising. The saving grace were as you would guess, the BISCUITS!! That restaurant could stay open based on the biscuits alone, so delicious. I got some to go! I ordered a drink that I forgot the name, but you get to keep the glass (its the only one like it), very good drink!! quite fruity and pretty. I posted it on the check-in photos. On 8/10/23 made reservations for a big party at 5:30. It was my nephews 10th birthday and my brother in laws mom's birthday. There was about 15 people ( reason why the reservations). We had a server who tried but the cook walked out. The only person that we saw was our server and he kept apologizing. Our food was bought out 1 meat at a time, the drinks were watered down and finally at 9 they brought out the last meal was a kids meal in a to go box and it was for my 5 year old nephew. No one from Mangment came around and said anything or tried to apologize. I called they corporate office they took down all the info and said that someone would call me with in 3 days. I waited 5 and no one. So I sent a response to corporate and finally a DM emailed me (no phone call) and said sorry here is $30. That's was it. First of all the bill (because we paid it was well over $500) but that's besides the point. First time here and I've been in the area for 20 years. We came to experience the 4 course meal during happy hour. Oh my that was a ton of food. Clam chowder was good as was the rolls, the coconut shrimp and the huge dish of brownie and ice cream. Waitress was on point and good about checking on us. Well, like other restaurants, this location is severely understaffed. It took over a one hour wait, despite the restaurant only sitting guests at 1/3 of the tables. That being said, once we were seated it took another 20 minutes for a server to take our order and another whopping 1 hour and 20 minutes for the order to be served. So disappointing that they could not provide the adequate service to their guests. With toddlers it was even more frustrating. We thought about getting up and leaving several times, but that is not the type of guest we are. The food was fine when it came out but nothing to write home about. I expected a wait so we did online wait list. 30 mins wasn't bad at all. Arrive at 6:15 and was told by hostess even though we did call ahead we still have to wait 45 mins to hour. My husband and I ate at Red Lobster in LS for a date night and we were blown away. The highlight of our night was sharing it with our waiter, Badr. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. He shared with us about his culture and it felt like we were eating at his home the way he was bringing elements of his culture into our experience. I don't know how or when this restaurant went downhill, but it has. Came here tonight "Friday" and the first thing that turned me off was the clientele, who was mostly dressed for McDonald's. Both our soups came out about 10 minutes afterwards and that was fine. We waited, and waited after that. We saw our waitress walk by our table, and unlike most restaurants where the waiter or waitress will stop and assure you your meal is on it's way, we watched her go to the table ahead of us and behind us. Then another waitress came out with a tray, and she asked me if I had ordered the "Fisherman's Warf" or something like that and I told her that I hadn't ordered that meal, but my husband and I both informed her what we ordered. Finally, our waitress stopped by after I flagged here down and this is 25 minutes after we finished our soups. She said she would look into it. A few minutes later the assistant manager came by our table and tells us the most bizarre thing. She tells us that she is fixing our meal in a hurry and the the general manager is also helping to fix it. She then tells us that our meal was sold to someone else who has already paid the ticket. I didn't get this, but assumed someone ordered the same meal and therefore it went to them. Just before the assistant manager came to our table with our food, we presume we heard her voice in the kitchen yelling at someone who was in trouble (not professional) She seemed frantic and trying to make sure the food looked good, and if there was anything else we needed. My husband had broccoli missing from his plate and mine were not as steamed as they should be. Overall, the meal tasted a bit rushed. I didn't want to say anything because of how the assistant manager seemed to be. Even though we finished eating our meals by 9:40 pm, we thought we might get dessert. Instead, our waitress brought our check and didn't ask if we wanted any dessert, and she mentioned that the manager only decided to take out 20% of our meal. I would have ordered a dessert, but it felt as if we didn't need to be there any longer. My guess is that it may have gone better if we had been a bit more slovenly dressed. read more

Came here to celebrate a birthday and had a great evening. This restaurant has made a huge, positive turn around in the last few months. Our food was great as was our server Adrienne. The neighboring table's server Adam was friendly and the new manager Bob spent some time visiting with us too. Overall, the staff was more friendly and even seemed to be having fun which is great to enjoy as a guest. Really, everything was very, very good. If there were some some type of drink specials I might even spring for a drink sometimes. We came here for Mother's day and was informed it would be a hour before we would be seated. We were seated in roughly 35 40 minutes. I ordered the wood fired shrimp tacos, I got 3 shrimp tacos which was full of flavor but lacked in size, the sauce had a nice little kick, the shrimp was very flavorful and tender. I would order them again. The garlic butter biscuits are heavenly and I personally could make these biscuits my dinner. I ordered a sweet tea and it had a nice medium sweetness to it. It has been a while since I have been to a red lobster and had noticed that their portion size has gone done. I understand that the pictures in the menu are blown up and touched up to be perfect, but then you get you meal and it barely looks like the picture in the menu. This was my first visit to the new Red Lobster in Lee's Summit. It was Friday night and we waited about an hour for our table. The restaurant was clean. Our server Stephanie was good and attended well to our needs. We all three ordered the Four Course Meal Special. I also had a Triple Berry Sangria. I like Sangria and this one got a bit weak as the ice melted toward the end of drinking it. The fruit decorating the glass was excellent. All three of us ordered New England Clam Chowder and it was good. Our salads were good as was the Blue Cheese dressing. The Cheese Biscuits were good (but not refilled). I ordered the Coconut Shrimp and took half of it home for a snack the next day. Hubby got the Shrimp Scallop Linguini and my Mother-In-Law got the fried shrimp. I heard no complaints. Customer service is on point, the staff is quite nice and accommodating. The food lack freshness and seasoning. I ordered the New Orleans Salmon and it lacked any flavor. Possibly because it was over cooked and under seasoned. The biscuits don't have the same fluffy freshness and the only compliment for the salad was it was cold, the onions weren't fresh and they changed up on the flavor on the ranch dressing. I was very very disappointed with my usual favorite dish of the Admiral's Feast which as you can see from my photo taken last night compared to their advertised photo it was over cooked, dried, and those large pieces of fried fish that normally come on the plate look more like dried up pieces of shrimp on my plate as you can see from where I circled it on my photo.
