Went to red lobster on West Patrick St on Friday (5/1/2026). The service was good but the food was terrible. The baked potato was barely warm, the coconut shrimp was more breaded than shrimp. The Tito's pink lemonade was lukewarm even though it had ice. The color was weird and it literally had no flavor. Also it doesn't smell pleasant and the lobster tank is filthy.The last time I went there the food was bad but since there was so much advertising about the shrimp event I thought I would give it another chance. What an experience. We were in the mood for something seafood but made the poor choice to not drive over to Mays..... what a HUGE mistake and waste of money. The menu was awful... this is not a boil bag restaurant. Our server dropped it in front of us... didn't open it. Didn't provide gloves or a bib. Had to ask for wipes. Another in our party ordered a lobster. No bib. No crackers for the shell. No sauce option Did not come back for drink refills. Manager came over to ask if everything was good after we ate. If I could leave fewer stars I would. we should have expected it to be this bad but we were starving and craving crab legs at 2:30pm so nowhere else (with crab legs) was open. We were and are, absolutely appalled at the food served to us. Everything was horrid tasting, dry, shriveled, sour, gloopy & mushy. The waitress was nice but incredibly unprofessional, plus our food took an hour to come out (2 other tables got their food & left), despite being only one of 2 tables of hers. Finally we got our check & it was $120!!! Wtf! How they're charging prices like that for fake frozen disgusting food like that is exactly why they're closing. I wish we were the type to walk out on a bill but we're not. We will NEVER be back though, and we will certainly warn ($ complain loudly) everyone we know not to go and waste their money on that slop. read more

I had a coupon thru Uber eats for a buy one get one shrimp linguine and although it was a pretty good deal for the amount of food you get... the food itself is pretty sad:/ The dish consists of 4 things shrimp, pasta, Alfredo sauce and a pinch of parsley. After hearing a recent ad for Red Lobster's current Crab Fest my husband and I decided to go in for an early dinner at 4pm. My husband had the grilled shrimp on rice which was ok. I had the crab carbonara which was inedible. After a couple bites I left the food uneaten. It was overloaded with salt and garlic. When the waitress came to clear the table she asked if I wanted a to go box and I said no. She asked if there was a problem with my food and I explained the situation. She apologized and very politely told me I should have told her earlier. Ironically we had not seen her since our entree was delivered by someone else. And I have actually never returned a meal in a restaurant before. A few minutes later while we were waiting for our check a manager came out and asked how our meal was. I told her the same thing. She asked if I would like something else, but we were ready to go by this point. I did pay the $27.99 for my uneaten entree, although I did feel the manager should have comped it. Food portions are small, servers are loudly laughing and gossiping around customers. Had to keep reminding waiter for basic items like butter for crab legs. Steamed crab legs were dripping wet and messy. The lights above our table were very bright. Hardly any customers on a Friday night. My husband's steak was small. Not the way it used to be. read more

I rarely post a review, but couldn't let this experience go unheard. We ordered Red Lobster on Uber Eats. I wanted a scallop dinner, so I ordered the Grilled Sea Scallops with a side of rice. I was shocked when I opened the container. There were 4 of the tiniest scallops I've ever seen. One was nickel sized and the other 3 were about the size of a quarter. There might have been a table spoon or two of rice. Our bill was over $100, $17 of that being the scallops. It's absolutely no surprise that Red Lobster is struggling to stay in business. We had a wonderful experience at Red Lobster today. The food was wonderful and our server was exceptional. Kat has a warm, friendly personality, and she made sure the glasses were filled and the plates cleared. That's important to me. We had the fish (it's Good Friday) and it was fantastic. The Cheddar Bay Biscuits are always yummy, too. We had to meet the manager (Neveen ) personally to share our compliments about the food and service. I admit, I have a nostalgic love affair of Red Lobster (It was my favorite place to go for my once a year birthday dinner alone with my parents when I was a kid). Therefore, I'll overlook a lot of things. Food (3/5): I love seafood and usually Red Lobster hits the mark. I came here for Endless Shrimp and was a bit disappointed with a couple of this year's picks. Miss!!! The fiesta shrimp (fried shrimp with cheap queso and pico de Gallo) was super weird. The hand breaded shrimp tasted a bit off, almost had a chlorine taste. The fries were over cooked. I didn't feel like asking them to remake them. Hits!!! But the sesame ginger skewers with rice were amazing! As was the parmesan garlic shrimp! I hope they keep these on their menu! Atmosphere/service (4/5): I was there's with a friend and unfortunately her kids made a huge mess and threw stuff on the carpet (we did get on the floor to clean it up afterwards.) The server didn't make us feel bad about it and was good about clearing the table. As others complained, it took 20 min to get refill shrimps out. Not sure why, as the kitchen should be better to manage the whole "endless" shrimp. Our server was overwhelmed, as she seemed to have almost the entire restaurant herself. She was nice enough. My husband took me out to celebrate my work anniversary. We had a great experience at the Fredrick Red Lobster. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. The staff promptly greeted us with a smile and immediately seated us. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable of the food choices, and attentive. My husband is quite the jokester, and she even laughed at his jokes. He loves fish, and Nadine recommended the Wild-caught Crispy Flounder with fries. The fish was cooked to perfection, brown and crispy, and the fries were fresh, hot, golden brown, and crispy. He really enjoyed the selection. I ordered the dragon shrimp, which had a great spicy sauce. We had a really fun and enjoyable evening. The people at Red Lobster really do a great job with customer service. I always have been going to Red Lobster for many years. This time I went to Frederick, MD for Red Lobster with my family and met my dad's old boss for lunch. The table service seems a bit slow even though servers are very friendly. Food was being served and I would wish that kids' food would be served with adults' side dish then kids get to eat while adults have their salad or soup. Food wasn't bad at all, but too much of cheese for me. Everyone's different. Lastly, I'm kind of disappointed when I saw a server accidentally spill ice over the place and other male server saw but did not even bother to stop and help her to clean up the spill. I don't see any team works in servers which it is a big disappointment. I hope in the future, servers all should work together as a team and serve customers well. read more

I have only ordered takeout from this Red Lobster, and have bought food here three times in the past three months. Every time I ordered, my food was waiting for me when I arrived. This is simply a matter of timing. The only food items I like from this restaurant are those that contain lobster. To be certain, I like good fish (halibut, salmon, sea bass, catfish, etc.), am crazy about good shrimp and scallops, but the fish, shrimp, and scallops here are simply average. The rock lobster is OK, but lacks the "full flavor" of the Maine lobster. They had a Lobster Lover's Feast only shortly over the summer: one rock lobster, one Maine lobster, and lobster alfredo pasta. That was good, but they discontinued it. The restaurant could use improvements in cooking seafood so it tastes the way it's supposed to taste all the time. They also need a new manager - any manager who would permit sub-par cooking at an expensive establishment either needs retraining or to be let go. read more

I ate at red lobster yesterday for lunch with my mother. I had the admirals feast with a crabcake at it on and she had the Friday fish fry special. Food: We found our meals very good and filling. The one thing I would suggest is that if you get three items that require cocktail sauce then you should be given three little tubs of cocktail sauce. Service: It was OK. A lot of little waits between after our drink orders were taken. Once we got our food, the waitress came by about three times in the first 10 minutes of eating and then was rarely seen after that. She showed me the electronic device but did not explain to me how it worked if it went off the pay part of the screen. Luckily she did come by and show me what to do. Paying The Bill: I am pretty good with electronics but the pay device will totally confuse a lot of people. It moves from one screen to another too quickly and it keeps promoting the red lobster club too many times. I would suggest that the device be set up at once it's put on the pay bill portion of the programming that it stays there until the bill is completely fully paid and not prompt for surveys or club membership until the bill is been processed. I think red lobster forgets that most people don't go there very often so these screens really are useless. Maybe they can promote the club membership and doing the survey through the waitress or waiter by offering a free dessert to do them. Overall it was a pretty good experience with no price surprises. Our party of 2 was seated within minutes of arriving on Labor Day (mid-afternoon). All staff was abiding by COVID-19 policies and the restaurant maintained their customers socially distant from one another. Our waitress was attentive and courteous and checked in with our table several times to make sure we were all set with cheddar cheese biscuits, refills (drinks were always filled to the brim), and our endless shrimp orders. The manager/owner also paid us a visit during our meal which is always a plus. All in all, it was a pleasant experience and would recommend paying them a visit if you're looking to beat the cabin fever during this pandemic. read more

Came in on a Tuesday with my party of 2. The restaurant was pretty empty but it still took a second to get sat, not sure why. But that's ok. We sat and our server brought us water, but forgot our lemon. Whatever. And then it took forever to get refills on the water when they were empty. Which in my opinion is the sign of bad service. Our cocktails were good but not super strong. Our appetizer was the spinach crab dip which was way more watery then I expected. The chips that were served with them were pretty thin and hard to stand up to the dip. They ended up a little soggy with dip. But it was hot and had decent crab. The salads were delicious and my soup was hot and delicious. The main entrees came and were ok. The shrimp linguine was good. The Walt's shrimp was good but not super hot and the shrimp scampi were pretty cold. My dinning mates food was mostly fried. They were soggy for the most part and she didn't eat most of it. There were definitely highs and lows in service and the food. But overall a tolerable experience. read more
