I can't say enough positive things about the Chimichurri Steak Filet which consisted of an 8 oz sliced, chef-crafted steak with chimichurri, garlic whipped potatoes and broccoli. The taste is amazing and some of the best Chimichurri I've ever had! My husband had the 1 x Chilean Sea Bass with Mango Salsa, Seasonal Veggies, and Coleslaw. My son had the Creamy Tomato Linguine sautéed with mushrooms, spinach, and chicken topped with parmesan, diced tomato and basil. Walk in backwards since Bonefish is going downhill. Service was great, but empty tables don't need much service. Their signature Bang Bang shrimp was way off the mark from previous visits. My wife got the 2 tail lobster dinner and she commented they were just OK. I ordered the shrimp with rice, It was ok but the shrimp were buried under the rice an had an under cooked consistancy and no positive taste. Ordered 2 lobster tails for lunch, with a house salad and roasted potatoes as my 2 sides. Tails came without lemon wedges, drawn butter had the butter fat sitting at the bottom of the very small cup, not enough butter for 2 tails. Took awhile to get waitresses attention and awhile for her to return with the wedges, after delivering food to another table. My bill showed charges for my sides which were supposed to be included in the meal. She did not tell me there was an upcharge for these two sides that is provided at no charge, AT EVERY OTHER RESTAURANT. We really did have a lovely dinner. It was a spur of the moment splurge. We did spend $150 before tip but we had a Filet and a Mahi Imperial dish, a lovely Mussel app dish and drinks and TWO desserts 2 Go! Ok, the comp bread came with EVOO + Pesto. Delicious fresh hot bread and the pesto dollops in it were phenomenal. On to the Mussel appetizer with onions, tomatoes in a wine sauce, such big fresh mussels we actually talked about them because we often order this at restaurants when available and these were the best we have had in a while. Mains. Hubby had the Filet and it was perfect with his selected crispy potatoes (I did as well) and asparagus. The potatoes were covered in so much Chimichurri and Aioli they weren't crispy but they did have a unique taste that was pleasant. I would do this again but ask for sauce on the side next time. I had the Mahi Mahi Crab Imperial special. Yum. Had a touch of lemon sauce but I expected more from the description. Still good but I personally love a good sauce. Fish was impeccable though, so it carried. Dessert was a Key Lime CAKE and a seasonal Pumpkin Crème Brûlée that were both astounding as we ate them at home on the couch (LOL). Only complaint is the server did not remove some of our dirty app plates, rather let them sit at the edge of our table until we left??? FANTASTIC. I had 15 people in our party and had no problem getting a reservation a few days ahead of time and we got a terrific table when we arrived. The manager and our waitress were PHENOMENAL. This was our first time visiting. We will not be back. It took 10 minutes for any server to show up at our table. Another 10 minutes to get drinks. The food took a half an hour to arrive. There were only three tables that had people with them in the entire restaurant. My lobster arrived raw and it took me 20 minutes to get the server to come back to re-cook it and they brought it back and it had so much spices and sludge on it that I could not eat it so I had to leave hungry. It's a shame because the food seemed quality. The service was deplorable and the prices were high. We will not be going back. I do not recommend going here. Daughter and I visited on Sunday March 8th. We spent near $150 with tip. Very disappointing. The cocktails were ridiculously sweet and not well made. Calamari was ok but very salty. The Maui Maui was dry and tough. Nearly inedible. The Parmesan trout was very salty. It came with tasteless white rice. The crab cake on the side was an embarrassment. I went on a cute early Valentine's Day date here last night! Never been before but the ambiance and the warm lighting made it so cozy and lovely! It wasn't crowded at all which mad my dinner so much more intimate I loved it! Also maybe because it was in the middle of the week lol.. the chef herself was sooo so sweet oh my god, hats off to her! Best service I have had in a restaurant in a while. Kayla was very polite and attentive. The jasmine rice was really very good. I don't eat rice often but this rice was outstanding. This restaurant doesn't have a separate lunch menu so expect to pay about $20+/pp. On a side note, we almost didn't go inside because the handicap access requires a bit of a walk. Up a ramp and around to the front of the building. There were a few handicap spots at the start of the ramp and fortunately they weren't full which allowed me to pull up and unload my dad. My wife and I love Bonefish Grill! I know it's a chain restaurant, but we've always had a good experience whenever we go to one. On this visit, we didn't have a reservation, so we opted to sit at the bar. The bartender, Taylor, took our drinks and dinner order. He returned quickly with our drinks and a loaf of warm bread and a plate of oil for dipping. We sipped on our margaritas (which were mixed perfectly), and chatted while munching on the bread. Our dinners were brought to us quickly and we were pleased by the presentation and quality of our meals. I ordered the Sirloin Steak and Shrimp. It came with two sides. I chose mashed potatoes and coleslaw. My wife had the Spicy Tuna Bowl which she thoroughly enjoyed. Good restaurant with excellent service! read more

So ...... We have always wanted to stop here for a late lunch or early dinner and we finally stopped ! We arrived around 3:00 and walked in and were cheerfully greeted by the hostess who seated us in the main dining area. The decor inside is really nice and the restraint was extremely clean and well presented. The menu selection was perfect ! Our server greeted us and was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable! We both ordered martinis and the Boom Boom Shrimp was absolutely outstanding with flavor and well presented. Our server was very aware of when we needed drinks, refills on water and so forth. Dinners were outstanding ... The Steak and Crab Cake combo was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The mashed potato's were killer and the Mac-n-cheese with bacon was spot on ! I had Swordfish (how can you go wrong with fish at a place called Bonefish Grill??) My husband said his pork chop was a little dry...but that is really the only time we have had anything other than a rave review on the food at this Bonefish location. It's been 3 years since I ate at the Bonefish in Frederick, but I remember it as vibrant, mid high end with an awesome Martini. Flash forward to 2023. Suffice to say that this dinner was an underwhelming disappointment. Two of our party ordered Mahi Mahi with garlic mashed potatoes. Both pieces of fish were so overcooked they could be called rubbery. The mashed potatoes were glutinous and looked like they had sat under a heat lamp too long. The service and my Blue Moon were fine. Not normally one to complain I thought it was fair to call out the poor quality on an expensive entree. I would give them another chance, but the manager only offered gratis dessert, not even a credit so we could comeback. As if this was a fluke (I think not). Even the after dinner coffee had to go back because it was luke warm. Gah! Never again. Horrible management, bad food. read more

Staff was very nice, polite and welcoming and the ambiance was nice. That's about all I could say. I ordered mussels for my appetizer and they were undercooked like raw oyster. We only had like 1/3 and the waiter didn't notice to ask what was wrong. He was polite but soooo soft spoken we could barely hear him. The appetizers came out so quickly (bang bang shrimp tasted like it usually goes), but after that everything else as soooo slowwwww! I think 30/40 mins went by untl the food came out (We waited so long, I almost forgot we hadn't eaten lol) When the food arrived it was like warm and just not good. DO NOT ORDER THE RISOTTO! It is full of coconut flakes! Nowhere on the menu does it mention this. It's not just lightly topped with coconut as a garnish. Like every bite is half soft risotto, half hard coconut with a slightly off smell. Someone who calls themselves a chef got a little carried away playing in their mom's kitchen and mixing ingredients. Just no. The waitress seemed scared to ask the manager to take it off of our check. Maybe don't mix gross ingredients together and serve it to people? Wild. Also, if you've ever worked in a restaurant, you know that "cisco" bulk frozen food flavor. My husband ordered the ribeye ($35) and I ordered some kind of fish ($32). He ordered his medium well, and it came out rare. My fish was barely thawed. Not even warm. The veggies and potatoes had that watery texture that lets you know they were frozen from a bag and not fresh. I don't mean to sound like a Karen, but charging over $30 for one gross meal is outrageous. Anyway, the two stars are for the servers. Servers work hard. read more

Went for Mothers day dinner with my 92 year old mom. Got the wrong steaks. Told the kitchen manager, Shannon, who argued that "no we just don't serve high quality cuts of beef." As we had one plate with the correct steak on it and two with the wrong ones, she clearly did not. She did offer to cook new steaks but clearly she missed that they were the wrong steaks. She was very abrupt and never returned. It really ruined the meal. That put together with our steaks being cooked to well done topped it off. The bill was adjusted at the last minute when the waiter asked if there was anything else he could get us and I said, the name of your kitchen manager. I really liked this place. I came here last summer on a Saturday afternoon for the 1st time with my boyfriend and his mom and it is surprisingly very upscale inside. I expected it to be more of a relaxed chill spot but with the white linen tablecloths, quiet ambience/ lighting and nicely dressed wait staff it can easily be a date night spot. They serve complimentary bread to each table while you wait for your food and it was so good! It's not all the time that a restaurant serves complimentary bread & oil and its tasty (sometimes it just takes like oil which I don't find to be appetizing) but it tasted like garlic and other delicious herbs...it was divine. Sorry to go on and on about bread but it was really that good! We asked for about 2 more bowls lol. I had the fish tacos which were okay (not the best but not terrible either). The mashed potatoes on the side were good. My bf had bacon mac and cheese and I believe salmon over white rice which he said was good. I don't remember what his mom had but she loved it. All in all, definitely 5 stars for service, ambience, the complimentary bread and drinks too. 3.5 stars for the food. The brunch is AMAZING! The only reasonably priced bottomless breakfast cocktails in Frederick. The mimosas, sangria and bellinis all for $10 and if you want bottomless bloody Mary's only $12 with the purchase on an entree. We sat on the bar side of the restaurant with excellent service from the bartender always topping off our mimosas! The bang bang shrimp is out of this world and the best appetizer on the menu! I love it so much I got the bang bang shrimp eggs Benedict which was also good but not as much bang bang sauce as I would of liked. My boyfriend got the filet mignon and lobster Benedict.
