I went back in and told them that it was incorrect that I had ordered the Parmesan risotto and paid extra for it. I absolutely love Bonefish Grill! It is so clean inside! They do a great job with social distancing and provide outside seating as well. If you are going to order an appetizer, I highly recommend the Imperial Dip. It's outstanding!! It has excellent flavor and a lot of seafood. It comes with house made tortilla chips. Excellent! I also recommend the house salad dressing. It's excellent! I have had several wonderful dishes at Bonefish, but the fish tacos are always a good choice. The Mahi is also excellent. I ordered a burger for delivery. I had to call Doordarsh because the driver had obviously grabbed a frozen patty and put it between a week old bun he had in his cabinet. To my surprise that is actually what bonefish grill gave me. A frozen meat patty that was put on a grill for less than 30 seconds and slapped on a week old piece of bread. There is literally ice still in the beef patty. I was smacking the rock hard bread against the counter and my wife had to come out and yell at me to not break the counter. You can not make this up. The restaurant decor was nice but, the staff training was obviously inadequate. 5. We were there to celebrate a milestone, the the staff was aware of it (we brought a cake). The other patrons were more excited and acknowledged the event more than the staff. I didn't expect much with the way dinner was going, but such a small gesture shows what hospitality is all about. 6. Unfortunately with everything being so bad, it's hard to even understand why this was recommended in the first place. For the prices we paid I definitely expected BETTER. The single star rating is for the nice waitress who was set up to fail in her job. I will definitely NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone. I visited Bonefish for brunch for one reason only AFFORDABLE, BOTTOMLESS DRINKS. Bottomless mimosas, Bellini's, and blackberry sangria is $10 with a purchase of an entrée. Add bloody mary's into the mix and its $12. Not only is it hard to find bottomless anywhere in Frederick, at this price its unbeatable! The mimosas are fantastic, I wasn't as much of a fan of their bellini's. The sangria was good as well. For brunch we ordered The Cure to share and I got their Waygu beef burger with a fried egg. The Cure is old bay fries (great fries btw!), mozzarella, generous portions of shrimp, bacon, and a spicy sauce. I was blown away at the amount of shrimp they put on this! The fries were perfectly crispy. It could've used a little more bacon, but what can't lets be honest. The Waygu burger with a fried egg normally come with fries, but since we had already had them I substituted for their Au Gratin Potatoes. They were so-so, I'd stick to the fries next time. The burger itself was great, the beef was very tasty. My biggest let down was the extremely overcooked egg :( Unfortunately, the egg was fully cooked through with zero runny yolk, which is the best part! A bit of a let down, but I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and try it again. Overall the service was normal and there was very little wait on a Sunday afternoon. Today was our second time at this location and the service has been amazing both times. Our waitress today was Katie and she was very attentive. The manager even came over to introduce herself and make sure that we were enjoying our meal. We've been to another location, which was Gaithersburg. This location would be our favorite out of the two. Our appetizer of course was the Bang Bang Shrimp. We then had Waygu Beef burger and Bang Bang Shrimp tacos. The "filet" was flatter than a sirloin from Texas Roadhouse. Waiter and chef noted that the filet flattens out like that as you cook it but we've never seen it like that before for their filet surf and turf dish. It was however a great, tenderized sirloin priced at a filet. Service was solid though and ambiance was nice. Just will stick with appetizers and drinks next time. read more

Last week a friend and I had lunch at this Bonefish Grill. Social distancing as well as many other Covid19 precautions were being followed strictly. This made us feel very safe and comfortable eating there. The food was outstanding. My crab cakes were the best I have ever eaten - broiled to perfection. My friend's fish and chips were also excellent. Often fish and chips at other places have more chips than they do fish. That was not so at this Bonefish Grill. It was a very generous serving of delicious fish. Of course the house salad was its usual tasty fare. The citrus vinegarette dressing was so good. Our server was outstanding. Tyler C. was warm and friendly and made us feel very welcome. He knew the menu extremely well and was very accommodating as we tried to figure out what we would like to have. He was efficient and kept an eye on us the entire time, even though he had a number of other customers. He paced things well and was thoughtful concerning our needs. We want to go back again just so that we can have Tyler. He was an extraordinarily good server. Taking our visit over the top was meeting Beth, the proprietor of this restaurant. She came out and talked to us and answered many questions about the restaurant and its food. I could tell that she is on top of things and really cares about people. I Have always loved Bonefish Grill for its service and food quality. However, a few days ago I was very disappointed by the food. My husband ordered a steak and crab cake combination with asparagus as a side. The steak was very chewy and so was the asparagus. The waitress was accommodating and my husband then changed his dish to a filet mignon which better but tasteless. So, we ended up paying for a more expensive meal that was overall below par. My husband an I didn't feel like making dinner last night so we ordered take out from Bonefish. We usually don't make it common to order out, and if we do, avoid larger franchises or chains. Bonefish is an easy go-to. This is now the second time recently (in the past 5 months) that I forgot how amazing they are and how kindly they will adjust a menu item to fix to your preference. I love their calamari, but personal taste-really prefer it sautéed. I don't know how they make it perfectly tender without heaps of oils and butter. They put the sauce on the side- to me as just something to try but they are already cooked perfectly! This portion was more than enough to share, but thank goodness my husband isn't a seafood guy! (Alll mine :) ) I also ordered the shrimp and scallops entree with a lime, Tomato, Garlic sauce on the side, and asked to try the mango sals. The scallops!!! Cooked to perfection, were FRESH, sweet and tender. I didn't even need the sauces I asked for. I ended up using the mango salsa only because it was so delicious- But unnecessary! I really enjoyed everything I ordered and have left overs for today. My hubs was jealous he opted for the restaurant next door which was a burnt chicken sandwich and soggy fries- hes not picky so was fine- but he made iy certain he was going bonefish with me next time. I accidentally ordered fries- So he got my fresh, perfectly cooked, Crispy bonefish fries! THIS IS THE WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD IN A LONG TIME! I was looking forward to trying a new (to me) restaurant because I love seafood. We arrived last Saturday night around 7:30 and the place was a zoo. The hostess quoted us an hour wait. Fairly reasonable so we took a pager and headed to the bar. There weren't any open seats so we found a spot at the far end to stand at. The blond bartender actually made eye contact w/ JV within 5 minutes and took our drink order. Well, one was garnished with a lime and one wasn't so I grabbed a lime out of the service bar container for the bf so the male bartender yelled at me that I couldn't do that because it's a food safety issue. Oh really? Ok Mr. Bartender, do you wash your hands every time you have to get a lime? NOPE. Do you put on gloves? NOPE. My hands are probably much cleaner than someone who has been pouring drinks and clearing dirty glasses and dishes all night. And I promise you I took care to only touch the lime I picked up. Anyway, about 40 minutes in to our wait, the couple at the bar directly in front of us graciously told us they were leaving so we could take their seats. The blond bartender came over relatively quickly and gave us menus, though she did not ask if we needed another round since our drinks were empty. Since it looked we had another 15-20 minutes to wait for a table, I returned the pager to the hostess and said we'd eat at the bar. Silly me. Even though we were starving and immediately decided what to eat, neither bartender came back to take our order and left us sitting there for 15 minutes. I've worked in restaurants, I understand it's crazy busy, just tell me you see me and that you'll get to me as soon as possible. Yet the bartenders had time to ask a couple that sat down AFTER us what they would like twice. So I went back to the hostess and asked if it would be possible to get our spot back since the bartenders were not taking orders. I honestly expected to be told we'd have to go to the end of the line but she said no problem, we could have the next table and gave me another pager. Yay!!! Except we stood right at the host stand and watched 3 other parties be paged and seated ahead of us. So now it's acceptable to flat out lie to customers? Being told honestly we'd lost our place would have been perfectly understandable. But to promise us the next table only to have us waste yet another 15 minutes? Appalling. Oh to top it off, a fight broke out between two women at the bar. Four police officers showed up to take a report (I guess) though no one appeared to be thrown out. This must be the classiest joint in Frederick! Seriously, stay away from this dump. Clearly they don't care about customer service. read more

However, the gals behind the bar are top notch. Pretty much each Friday I get a taste for the Ahi Tuna Sashimi appetizer. It's sesame seared, sliced thin, with wasabi and pickled ginger... Love it. My friendly Yelp app located Bonefish, one of my brother in law's favorites in Indianapolis, so I thought I'd see the fuss for myself. The fuss is the bang bang shrimp. It's just a terrific take on shrimp, however, it is very, very rich. And that seemed to be the theme for the evening. We ordered the Rhea's Roughy. Also, very rich and heavy. Ordered a fish sandwich with dorado fish. Not too bad. Certainly didn't have room for dessert. And so Bonefish seems to have gone the way of many suburban eateries and lured its clientele with our old friend butter. It must be said that everything was prepared and served wonderfully well. Dining area was simple and pleasant, atmosphere was great, and service excellent. I have no doubt that they could have prepared some nice, light dish for us had we asked, or in this instance, had we known the average dish would be very rich. Therefore, be ye warned, ye shant escape the rich sauces. Bonefish would likely get a higher rating from me, but I'm compelled to rate it based on the meal served. The server was nice, but the food came out staggered. We got two plates, then 2 more 5 minutes later and than the last one after that. I ordered two saucy Shrimps apps (Which is my favorite) and one Prince Edward Island Mussel app. I was not disappointed everything tasted just right.
