Was here for a birthday dinner last week (my daughter's choice for her birthday). Food was good as always. Best part of the visit was our server JJ (Jemilia), who was smiling, professional and we could not have asked for better service. She visited the table often to check on us, we never needed to ask for refills - she just did everything right. Our food orders were all delivered promptly and everything was correct. Managers should recognize JJ for superior attitude and excellent service! We noticed the interior remodel, and restaurant appeared clean. Manager locked my wife out of restruant as she went outside for a cigarette on a chilly evening. He came to inform us at the table that he was not allowing her back inside and has locked the doors. I was not allowed to go tell her this either as I would also be locked outside. I asked him then to go inform her of his actions and he took offensive that he should have to explain his discriminating to the Red Lobster customer that he just locked outside of the building. Red Lobster just isn't what it used to be. I ordered everything wood grilled to be on the healthier side yet it was slathered (I mean dripping) with butter and overcooked. I specified no rice and it was obvious they caught it last minute because the scallops had rice embedded under them. The new Fiesta Shrimp was shrimp goop. Shrimp with warm Cheese Whiz. My friend who had Endless Shrimp decided to order an order of woodgrilled shrimp with no butter; they were much better flavor, and warmer, just tiny. The waitress was great, no complaints, but the manager apparently didn't have anything to do because he spent the entire time we were there talking to one and then another table next to us to people he obviously knew. It was distracting. He was still on the floor talking and laughing with a group of young girls when we left. Two of the wait staff had to yell over to him to get his attention and then laughed at him behind his back. Me and my wife ate here on Christmas Eve and both got a stomach virus. Worst decision in the world. It also makes me question the preparation of the food, because how you get this virus is just disgusting. We missed work because of this and will never return to red lobster again. Besides they keep switching the menu and the selection is getting worst and worst. Let me start by saying my family and i absolutely adore this place! But this visit was a bit different. It took us about 15 minutes just to get seated. We werre greeted by a host wo said our server should be by the table in 2 minutes max. That took another 10 minutes. Our food took almost 35 minutes to get there...we didnt even get our appetizers. It was a bit busy but our waitress seemed not to want to be there, on top of displaying ZERO customer service! I noticed its new faces, and the management team needs to train these folks up!! We left hungry as the food was too cold to even eat. I reallt love this location, but with this bad experience plus having 2 kids under 5 who were stsrving i dont think i will be returning to this location anymore.... Butter,Butter, and more Butter. That's what I think of when I think of Red Lobster. Thank goodness they use a good quality of butter. Every thing in the place but the salad is drenched in,or swimming in butter. Now I can eat me some good butter but, I get full real fast! Plus they are real proud of their product as is shown by their very high prices. Also every one in there that night was real old including me. Grand daughter wanted to go. She ordered the lobster bisque...a 2.99$ up charge to swap for the salad. Both she and my very picky about seafood husband said it was delicious! The extra star is for the excellent service. Dinner for two (shared cost with others) was close to 40$. Out here in duluth you can eat very well for a lot less money than that. read more

I love seafood and wanted to have a delicious meal for my birthday. To begin, our waiter seemed clueless about anything seafood. Second, I ordered a drink and even my mom who can only drink a glass of wine a day said it tasted like a smoothie. The waiter said the bar tender would gladly give me an "additional shot" of liquor at no charge. I'm sure it was because she knew she didn't make the drink correctly to begin with. Working in the industry, I felt bad & didn't want to make a big deal even though I was charged $12 for my drink. Initially I said no, however, after thinking about it, I wouldn't cheat my own guests at my restaurant (neither would my owner), and I asked the waiter if he would bring the "additional shot." I was not only charged for my drink, I was charged for a shot of liquor. When I asked my server, he stated that because I didn't accept the initial offer, I was out of luck. Seriously??? I gave my license as proof of age which clearly showed it was my birthday. This isn't the first, second, or third time this location has been a problem. Pappadeaux would have been the same price and much, much better food. The manager on duty didn't seem to care either. It's not like I go in there every week and complain. Either way, Red Lobster has made a name for themselves as a fast food sort of seafood restaurant. Carrabbas's & Pappadeaux has a smaller but much better selection of seafood at the same price. They also NEVER make a bad drink or question someone spending over $150 for a birthday dinner. Honestly, I haven't been impressed the last handful of times my family and I have been to this chain. It's easier and less of a headache besides cheaper to buy my own lobster, shrimp, and crab. I remember growing up, Red Lobster was my favorite restaurant of all time. As I got older my tastes have changed and I don't frequent this chain as much as I used to, but occasionally I will visit this location that is near my home. Usually when I come here its with a group of friends from football, but sometimes I bring my family. For the most part the service is very good, but occasionally the waiters/waitresses mess up the order which they correct without much problem. Recently my wife ordered the Cajun chicken pasta but they brought out the crab pasta instead. However they immediately realized their mistake and corrected the order in addition to letting us keep the crab pasta. I had another incident with my friends in which our waiter had a very bad attitude, but after complaining to the store's manager, he went out of the way to resolve the issue and that is why I still come here. My only complaint about this chain is that portion sizes seem to be smaller than they used to be, but of course the prices don't reflect the smaller portion sizes. It is an annoyance but Red Lobster isn't the only place that does this so I suppose it's just a sign of the times. There are better seafood places to eat, but Red Lobster is convenient and satisfies my seafood cravings most of the time. It is a good place for lunch with friends after a long day of football or a nice reasonably priced dinner with your family. read more

Don't let the commercials lure you in...BUYER BEWARE! I went to Red Lobster because of the choose two shrimp dish and I have been seeing on the Red Lobster commercials. The Red Lobster of old is gone they are no longer with the Darden Group. The whole experience was awful! Everything was terrible from the salad to the biscuits to the entree as well as the service. This salads were child size portion the entree I ordered was the bourbon shrimp and creamy pasta shrimp. The side was a salad and some mixture that advertised different kinds of squash butternut and acorn and some other squash. The salad was very limp and even the lemonade was unsweetened powder and water. It took me over 30 minutes to get my entree when there was no one in my area. There was two guys sitting at the table in my section and they just left because it was taking so long to get service. When the food finally arrived some of it was cold , some of it was unseasoned and and some was under cooked. The server needed training badly. I told the manager about me experience. The manager tried to get me to choose another entree but I was so disappointed in the whole experience I didn't want anything. I will not be going to anymore Red Lobsters . read more

Overall experience was not particularly disappointing, but also not particularly outstanding. It took a while for our waitress to get to us, but once she did, her service was great. I ordered the organic hibiscus tea and my husband ordered raspberry lemonade. We did not know what to order so we both ordered two different trio/samplers. Mine had a lukewarm pasta that had a flavor profile that vaguely resembled play dough that has been left out in the sun and then run over by several mini vans driven by soccer moms. His platter was full of fried shrimp, mussels, and clams. The portions of food were large, but the flavors all seemed the same. Upon entering we were told we would have to wait a few minutes for a table. No Problem. We were taken out into the restaurant and shown a table. We asked if we could get a booth instead and were told that was fine. In a few minutes we were waited on and were asked if another had waited on us yet. We told him that we had not seen him or anyone else. He asked us what we wanted to drink, and informed us that someone else would be taking our order. He came back in a few minutes with our drinks and some biscuits. Twenty five minutes passed. No one. My son called the front desk with his cell phone, but there was no answer. Now we were getting irritated. I waited a couple of minutes and then went to the front desk myself. We had been sitting in a booth for over thirty minutes and no one had even taken our order yet. I was told someone would be over right away. Eventually we all got up and walked over to the front desk to speak to someone to tell them we were leaving. No one was at the front desk, so we left. We have always had good service in the past from Red Lobster as we visit the one in Athens, Ga all the time. To say we were disappointed at this service would be an understatement. read more

I love Red Lobster, especially those biscuits aaahhhhh........My husband and I love to go to during the week for lunch! It's always so busy on the weekends and the wait is so long on Friday and Saturday nights! We pull in to the parking lot and realize everybody had the same idea for dinner!!! So we enjoy going in during the week!!! We have a GREAT waitress Stacy! We always ask for her! She will see us coming and knows what we want to drink...I love that!!! Dirty fork dry food all over it. I had to wait until I was half way through my main course for the beer I ordered before I ordered my meal.

We only go for the endless shrimp. I highly recommend the coconut bites. They usually come with a pina colada dipping sauce that is sweet, combined with the sweet coconut bites, it might be a bit too sweet for some people. The coconut bites by themselves, or with tartar sauce are equally as good. I personally like coconut bites w/ tartar sauce because the salty mayo flavor of the tarter combined with sweet coconut bites is amazing. Also, for your first order get the garlic scampi, because the first order will provide plenty of the garlic scampi oil (the refill's are lacking in oil). Utilize the scampi oil to dip your other shrimp (hand breaded, coconut bites, etc) plus you can dip your cheddar biscuits into the scampi oil (incredible). The shrimp linguine is really good, but it has a lot of noodles. Personally, I would recommend never getting the shrimp linguine because it will fill you up too quickly (unless you don't care of course), because I prefer to destroy the multiple hand breaded, coconut bites, and scampi then one linguine plate. In regards to service, it really is hit or miss with the waiters. Sometimes they will stick to the 1 refill at a time rule, but sometimes they will let you do 2. Sometimes they don't come back to you within 5-10 minutes while you wait for your shrimp refills. Personally I haven't run into any really bad waiters yet, but it's certainly not uncommon. Still very happy every time I've been to Red Lobster, and I only go for the limited time endless shrimp. I would recommend going. read more

Just had to walk out of this establishment without receiving anything. My fiancé, little brother and myself sit at the bar and aren't greeted for 20 minutes. She then rushes to take our order after she returns from WHEREVER she was, doesn't ask for our salad order and runs back to the computer. We notify the manager that had to assist in making drinks because she was away from the bar for so long, that she didn't ask us about our salad. He screams to her from across the bar what we just told him, and she replies that she wants to make our drinks first and then she'll get our salad... Yet she had no idea what we wanted, so that was a lie. We then just ask him to cancel the order and walk out. He didn't try to fix the situation and didn't care to stop us from leaving his restaurant unhappy. This is one of the worst experiences I've ever had in ANY restaurant and it is very disappointing. As a server myself, in fine dining, I know that I can be a little picky. But this was just the most awful service, or lack thereof, I have ever experienced. Poor service.I ordered a 27 dollar pot of lobster tails, and I took 35 minutes before my food arrived. The lobster was very dry and appeared to have been microwaved. I will never eat there again. Pretty much what you expect from Red Lobster. Best thing on the menu and the only thing I order anymore is the fresh fish, they usually have Rainbow trout, Talapia, salmon and sometimes more. You can have it prepared several ways I always go with Grilled and have enjoyed each time. You can eat healthy if you want with Zuchini and asparagus added to the menu. Overall not bad you just have to make the right choices, if you eat the cheddar biscuits you really dont need to get mashed potatoes or fried foods with it. read more

I have always had a pleasant experience with this restaurant. My spouse ordered the endless shrimp and got so much repeats by accident that we took it as leftovers. Our waitress customized our soft drinks. Shirley Temple (sprite and cherry flavoring). Cheddar biscuits are always our favorite. I ordered the 4 course meal which included soup, salad, entree and dessert. Salad was just ok, I did not care for it. Pricing on crab is not competetive. In the past, I have not been impressed with the portions. Bathrooms and dining are clean. Staff is always nice. Manager came around to make sure our meal was great. Biscuits can be ordered as takeout as I used to order 6 for $1.99. read more

The only reason I even give this location one star is because I don't have the option to not list any stars at all. By far the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. I was at this restaurant for 2 and a half hours and never got to eat. After the first 2 hours of waiting for food, I finally told them to cancel my order all together after seeing this huge roach crawling on the wall behind us. The service was terrible, and one of the waiters laughed at the fact that one of the kids in our party waited almost 2 hours before he finally got his food. We were not impressed. We just finished eating there tonight. We arrived around 10:10. When we were sat we had to wait about 7/8 min for our server to come to the table. He got our drink order and then started rushing us to order. I wanted to ask about a coupon I received from the e club but he didn't answer our question only said I'll look at it later and started naming apps we should order. Then told us as we were trying to look that we needed to get our order in so our food would be fresh. When he finally left to give us more time I decided on the 4 course meal. When the soup and salad came out the soup was barely warm like it had been sitting out off the heat for a long time. The salad was sub par. Hardly any dressing, not so good. I sent the soup back and then got my main course before the soup even came back out. The shrimp and scallop pasta was disappointing. The scallops were not even seared and had a bad texture as if they had been frozen for a very long time. I gave up and just asked for everything to go. As we just got our boxes and were packing things up, the server reminded us about our check for a second time. We left at 11:05. When we came in an elderly woman was talking about how displeased she was with her meal and the server was telling her how she was wronge. The table behind us was upset and canceled their order and left during our meal. And right in front where you walk to the door there was a smashed poopy baby diaper that I almost stepped in.
