Let me tell you.. I hadn't been to this place in a few years... but, it definitely did not disappoint. I went for lunch with a few of my friends. We ordered a few drinks, margaritas and coconut mojitos and a beer. We ordered the crab legs and the shrimp (camarones cucaracha). Let me tell you the service and the food were excellent. I have been to this restaurant numerous times over the years. I love the Mariachi singers that will come to your table and perform. I love the Latin vibe that is present throughout the property. I love the great service but most of all, the food. THE FOOD! It's great. I'm a creature of habit and I always get the same thing: their salmon and mushrooms. The rice that comes with this is SO soft and tasty. Yum, yum. BE PREPARED though, when you first sit down, they aren't going to bring you salsa and chips (unless you request). Instead, they will serve you a large round cracker with tuna, tomatoes and I think, avocado. But it's great. Don't make the mistake that I did though, and pour the little container of sauce on top it (that comes with it). If you are a Gringo, it will BURN YOU OUT OF THERE. Ha ha. DO, visit them. Unfortunately the restaurant's food quality has significantly decreased the deep-fried red snapper was over cooked & overall extremely hard with a tough, concrete texture. The refried beans tasted like cinnamon water with a oil and water texture. The bright white rice serve with the fish was bland. I politely informed our bartender Max about the food issue & he explained the problem was in the kitchen & the food isn't very good at the restaurant. Max said all the food ‍. At the end of our dining experience, I ordered a total of three drinks, and I asked our bartender Max to trash the entire uneaten fish meal. I would recommend this place for drinks only please don't waste your time ordering food because you'll be hungry & highly disappointed in the quality of any item on the menu. FYI the restaurant didn't offer to compensate or replace the disgusting overly cooked red snapper. One of my favorite Mexican restaurants for drinks. The house margaritas are sooo good. The large Margarita is perfect for a one and done drink. The complementary fish ceviche is delicious as well. On weekends this place is packed out and vibrant. The bands come around and play at tables for a fee. Service is nice and the food comes out really fast. The food hasn't been my favorite but it's not terrible. If anything I recommend trying the chicken or steak fajitas. read more

Came here for a late lunch. The restaurant provides complimentary chips and dip or tostadas and ceviche. I had the shrimp and chicken fajitas. The dish came with approximately 5 small shrimp, tortillas, chicken, sour cream, rice, guacamole, beans, pico and lettuce. The shrimp and chicken weren't seasoned well. Guacamole and pico were very good but came in tiny portion sizes. Rice and beans were cold so I had to send the food back to the kitchen. I would not recommend this restaurant. read more

We ordered two taco orders that after 40 minutes didn't arrived, we asked to cancel them but the waitress said we can't cancel anything. We ordered the we ordered the Mariscada Costoas platter to share. For a seafood restaurant I was shocked at that the Lobster was so seriously cooked! I could barely chew it because it was so tough. The waiter never returned to check on us so I wasn't able to let him know that it was very overcooked. Fortunately, My boyfriend ate it because he doesn't mind when his food is overcooked. The smaller shrimp in the lobster stuffing were overcooked too. But the rest of the stuffing with imitation crab was delicious, great flavor, the fried fishes were yummy especially the red snapper and the bacon wrapped shrimp were awesome! We didn't even get to the fajitas there was so much food. OhDO NOT order the beans they were the nastiest beans I have ever had I had to spit out it out (pray they don't give me food poisoning) We sent them back! Here's the short version, since I don't think I want to waste the energy with the entire story. 1) The place is so loud, there is no hope of meaningful communication with your friends that doesn't require you to shout, which only makes things worse. 2) The place is so crowded with unmasked people, this is a pandemic nightmare in the making. 3) The tile floors are covered in a greasy residue. You'd be safer on skates. 4) You have to use QR codes to see the menu--presumably for safety's sake. But then you get to handle the bill-holder, along with a pen that's seen more hands than a poker tournament. (And the menu looks different on different devices.) 5) My wife got food poisoning. She drank no EtOH--only water, and had the garlic shrimp thing. It could have been the shrimp, and it could have been the lettuce. Five hours after dinner, she cannot keep anything in or down. Now that she's finally sleeping, I'm going to try to get some sleep, myself. read more

I did not expect it to be peeled already, i didnt know if i'd like it, to be honest because when the shrimp is not peeled it has so much more flavor (especially in the heads) but it was actually completely not what i expected. AMZING and easy to eat!! Raw oysters were decent and the ceviche was good too. i think it was made with fish. She kept repeating no seafood so I was like can you show us on the menu what we can order? This woman had the audacity to roll her eyes and talk rudely to us each and every time she came to our table of 2 and we have NO idea what her deal was. Did we look like another set of customers who were rude to her another time before? We didn't understand her English but we were very, very polite because we also have foreign parents. We would never disrespect another human being and we are absolutely aware of a shortage of employees at restaurants. She legit made us feel like coming to eat at this restaurant was the biggest burden ever. She did odd things. i.e We ordered the guac and chips and requested salsa with it and we were absolutely willing to pay extra if needed, she brought a tiny black container for a plate of chips. Like...what??? She also overcharged us on a margarita ordered and we were debating whether to bring it up or not but she was rude either way so we brought it up to her and yeah you guessed, rolled her eyes and said she'd talk to her manager lol We are absolutely going to be sure as hell to request another waitress if she ever ends up serving us again. It took every ounce of patience I've learned as an adult not to bite back and say something to her lol. Unnecessary crap service for literally no reason. Just ruined the dinner for us in general. We usually tip 10-20 bucks for 2 people and I wanted to leave her $0 but that's just plain wrong (I used to be a server too) so we did leave her an undeserved tip ANYWAYS!! The environment at this establishment was pleasant. I ordered the Cangrego Relleno. This is a "market price" seafood menu item. There is no disclosure on the menu that a large portion of the seafood entree is imitation crab meat. I didn't want to eat processed seafood while paying a fresh seafood market price. The manager said I should have asked what their entree comprised of. Do not mislead your customer by withholding critical information. This is false advertising. The manager was defensive from the start and didn't accept my willingness to pay a portion of full price. Despite my dissatisfaction with the entree, I barely ate, she forced me to pay full price. No one in there right mind wants to pay over $58 for an entree with imitation crab. Expect this bill to be disputed in pursuant of U.C.C. 1-308. That entree stayed at the table and I'll never visit this establishment again. read more

Came for a weekday lunch. House Margarita was pretty dang good. Ordered it as a "medium" and it was still huge. I wanted to try the stuffed lobster. Our server, Alejandro, was really great. The margarita was not good, artificial tasting and too sweet. The chips were stal and , beans were disgusting. The fish tacos were not made of real fish. It was some sorl of possibly minced fish which looked like flat pieces of overcooked chicken and tasted like cardboard.I am so disappointed amd I drove a half an hour to enjoy a good lunch and I am still hungry. Due to there still being a pandemic my rating won't be high based on their safety protocols. Our waitress did not wear a mask nor did the waitress helping her. The tables were close to one another in the patio area where it was obvious six feet distance was not being implemented. There were two fans outside facing the tables meaning the air was being redistributed to the people eating. As for the service itself our waitress was nice despite being short staffed she did her best and we appreciated that. Our reservation was respected and we were sat down immediately upon arrival (it was a Friday night). The food portions were good with their own distinct taste.
