    Creamy Chicken

Love Love Love this place! Beautiful aesthetics, friendly service and man ol' man the food, the food, the gooooood food! We were headed to a local favorite in the area and decided to stop off and try this place out and they did not disappoint. I ended up ordering the garlic chicken with steamed vegetables and sweet plantains, amazingly good. We also ordered the creamy chicken with asparagus and sweet plantains and for appetizers we ordered the empanadas. The shrimp empanadas were the best. To drink, we ordered the El tamarindo Margarita, we had to send it back because the syrup was a little bit overpowering, so they remade it and it was great! Friday night karaoke was fun, even though we couldn't understand anything that was said because it was done in Spanish, but we still had a good time. This place will definitely enter our rotation of places to eat in the area.

(Late post visit in November 2024) This is located in a shopping complex, it was easy to find and plenty of parking spaces. We dined in on a Friday afternoon during lunch time. There were hardly any other guests there. The ambiance is warm and inviting. Our server was nice, but there was a language barrier. Part of my chicken was undercooked, but I didn't make a big deal out of it. The food was good, but probably not something I'd come back for. Food is overpriced and they charge an additional service fee. For what? Be sure to read your receipt before adding extra tip.

I've been curious about this restaurant for a while so was excited to have the opportunity to dine here for brunch for a loved ones birthday. The plaza the restaurant in has a large parking lot. Upon entry the restaurant decor is stunning throughout. There are many areas for photo ops, specifically a grass wall with swings. We had a large party so it took a moment to seat us. Once we were seated we ordered brunch drinks, half of the party had the mojito or mango mimosas that had outshine popsicles in them and the other half ordered the mimosa towers. Those who ordered the mango mimosas preferred them over the mojito as they had more flavor but overall both lacked in champagne. The mimosa tower flavors were great but the champagne in them also left much to be desired. The brunch menu price point was phenomenal and had many authentic Latin dishes as well jaw dropping, photo worthy dishes. For my entree I ordered the pancakes, bacon and patatas bravas all as sides as they do not allow substitutions for the brunch entrees. My husband had the breakfast bowl with chicken although it came out with steak first. I loved the patatas bravas as the sauce was so flavorful, my pancakes were a perfect texture and bacon was not cooked too hard or too soft. My husband also enjoyed the breakfast bowl that came with the protein, red beans, rice and egg. Flan was brought out with sparklers for the birthday celebrant but was a bit burnt. What was uncomfortable was that there were many other parties celebrating birthdays that received special music played when their desserts were brought out. We brought this to the attention of the restaurant and they stated it was because it was busy but we were in the middle of the other parties in order of seating. We also only had one server for our large party which made the service extremely slow. If I return it maybe a while as it seems they are still working through a few kinks.

So last night we decided to do Latin. Let me tell you what a great decision.. As we enter the establishment, we were both greeted with smiles. so we both decided to order two margaritas which were OK could've been better. And for our appetizer, we ordered two chicken and one shrimp empanadas, Which were delicious.. around this time they start setting up for karaoke. Which turned out to be a great experience since neither one of us are Latin. Now on to the entrées. I had the creamy chicken with mushroom sauce and babe had the garlic chicken. To be honest with you, they were similar and taste.. But very good with lots of flavor. I thought it was a cool spot to chill with a different type of vibe. I would have given it five stars, but the drinks threw me off a little bit. I would definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for something different and it's quite nice inside also.

Family & Friends celebrating Juan's HS Graduation

Personally, I was curious and not to sur to come to this place, but had to be there for Juan's HS Graduation on 12/15/2023 at 7:30pm and was really surprised! The food is great, I had the guacamole chicharron appetizer and it was fantastic. The food is tasty, well presented and wonderful portions. The variety of dishes was amazing, from sushi to carne asada. from Colombian dishes to Dominican options. Drinks: I had the passion fruit margarita with black salt on the rim and it was delish. Totally recommend this place!!!

    Derretidos Queso

Food tasted amazing! My only complaint was pork belly was fried very hard and very chewy. It tasted amazing tho! I would recommend for great food and ambiance. I also had a White Russian! Drink tasted goood.

We found this place on social media. They promoted it pretty well service was terrible took so long to get our food seriously like almost 2 hours. We ended up getting food poisoning.

Food was really good! Not pictured here but the tuna chicharrón was really delicious .

Salmon melted in your mouth and the flavor was on point.

Wanted to try something new tonight and found this spot right near my house. Server's were friendly and the atmosphere was chill! Food was delicious!

Such beautiful murals! I came on a Friday evening and there was a DJ which really enhanced the mood. Food and cocktails were superb. Definitely a standout for the area!

Service was good, i went pretty early before going to the gym so I set at the bar and order their fish tacos. Good food, service and ambiance. I Have to try it during a later time to get the full experience.

I just made sure to ask for extra pickled onions because they are delicious. My husband had a beef burrito with cheese dip, rice, and beans. Alejandro did bring three sauces for us to try with different levels of heat, but I opted not to try any of them after I tried one and I didn't like the taste. I was good with just the salsa that came with the chips. I ordered a flan to go and I would give that a six out of 10. I don't ever have to have that again. The bathrooms were clean and really smelled nice. Whatever air freshener they are using in the women's bathroom is a 10 out of 10. Parking here is free and is first come first serve. There is a lower parking area available if the top level is full. The parking lot is shared with other restaurants and businesses in the same complex. I would definitely come back here to try something else recommended by the staff.

I'll be 65 at the end of this month . I told her that doubled her tip!

Frida's has a great outdoor dining space just as inside. Today they have decorated for Cinco De Mayo. She was very attentive all while attending her other tables. We had the Nachos Mexicanos and the Frida's Guacamole. And when I say those 2 dishes was very flavorful. We usually leave with a togo box. But today we ate every bit of it. The nachos filled the plate and was loaded down. The guacamole hit every tastebud. With this one visit we are certain we will be back to try other menu items.

I usually opt for carnitas in some form, but I just had carnitas burritos last night so decided to change it up! The pollo ranchero (wherever you find it on a menu) always seems like it's going to be too simple, but I seem to always really enjoy it. Tonight was no different. The thin slices of grilled chicken breast are usually overcooked, but it's forgiven due to the ranchero sauce and cheese that blanket them, providing needed moisture. The rice and beans are pretty good but definitely benefitted from ranchero sauce spillover and a little drizzle of salsa. Portion size was great. Frida's is pretty similar to a lot of mid-range Mexican spots (although I like the inclusion of fried plantains on the menu) but I've never how a disappointing experience, so giving it a 4!

I ordered about 5 tacos for a corporate lunch about 20 minutes from our office. Unfortunately we had a very unpleasant experience this time. The food we received was burnt and overcooked, as seen in the pictures below. One order of tacos was actually a quesadilla instead. When we proceeded to call the restaurant to inform them they insisted that we drive 20 minutes back with the burnt food and the receipt in order to receive compensation, however due to the distance from us that was impossible for us to do and they could not provide us any other alternatives. The manger we spoke to was also very rude and unapologetic of actions and proceeded to encourage us to dispute the charge via our own bank accounts. Very unpleasant and rude staff which was disappointing considering we order from here multiple times. Would not recommend for corporate lunches and was disappointed in the lack of empathy or apologetic manner from the entire staff.

I had no idea who owned it before walking in (though I later read it's run by a mother and daughters team), but as soon as I stepped inside, I could feel the care and pride that's clearly been poured into this space. The interior is clean, colorful, and welcoming--everything from the decor to the spotless bathrooms signals that cleanliness and presentation matter here. I stopped in around 1 PM on a weekday and found a calm, relaxed atmosphere with three other tables of customers. There was one server on duty who managed the space well--attentive without being intrusive. She brought out complimentary blue tortilla chips and salsa. While the chips weren't fresh-made, they were decent--especially considering they're free. For my meal, I ordered the Veggie Fajitas with corn tortillas. The vegetables were well-seasoned and cooked perfectly. Both the rice and beans had great flavor. The only real downside? The portion of refried beans was tiny--maybe two tablespoons at most. When I asked about it, the server mentioned it was due to "portion control," though that reasoning felt a bit unclear. She also said that their refried beans and black beans are vegetarian (which is unusual - most restaurants the refried beans are not). All in all, despite the just-okay chips and the skimpy bean portion, Lolita's delivered where it matters: flavor, cleanliness, and service. With a few small tweaks, it could easily be a 20 out of 10. If you're a fan of Mexican cuisine, definitely go give them your support. Local gems like this deserve to stick around.
