Caveat: This was a Door Dash order. So my main complaints (lobster roll and bun were cold, fries were soggy) are likely related to the time it took for delivery. I really wish I had gotten to eat it fresh. But my other criticisms are valid! - Connecticut lobster roll: The bun was soft and buttered to perfection. The lobster was a generous portion and very fresh. My only complaint is that it was cold, but that's what I get for doing a Door Dash order with a long predicted delivery time. The fries (which were not crisp, likely due to the delivery time) had zero seasoning. I would have expected Old Bay seasoning or at least salt. My delivery order didn't come with any ketchup either. - Lobster bisque: Interestingly, Door Dash had a promotion for BOGO lobster bisque. But the lobster meat was scant (it was just a big bowl of cream essentially), so I actually threw away the second bowl and didn't finish the first bowl. All in all, I was glad to have tried the food here. This is more of a fast casual place so we placed our order, picked it up and then sat down at a table. The clam chowder was watery, bland and did not have a lot of clams. Yooooo. Yum. The food came out in less than 10 minutes. It's not cheap: about $40 for a shrimp/lobster sandwich and the shrimp roll + a coke. They don't skimp out on the portions! Small space in a local strip mall, this is truly a hidden gem! Bright atmosphere and clean interior. Orders are placed either at the counter or handy self service kiosk. They have soft drinks, water snd seltzers in nearby coolers. We ordered a crab roll, Maine lobster roll, fries and clam chowder. Prices were reasonable for the portions which were fairly decent. Food was well seasoned, tasty and seafood was fresh. Clam chowder was creamy and rich. Lobster roll was full with big chunks of lobster and minus filler, same for the crab roll. I'm from up north so I know good clam chowder.. let me tell you something, the *fresh* clam chowder is top 2 (not #2) in Georgia... it's like 40$ for a full meal (plus a beer). Sounds expensive but man oh man I always get the main lobster roll, and it's always a tough choice between the lobster bisque and the clam chowder. My wife and I stopped by Steami's for lunch on a Sunday. It was our first time here, and will definitely be our last. We ordered a lobster and shrimp grilled cheese, and a habanero crab grilled cheese. Both orders came with sides for a little over $40. After we took our first bites, we immediately regretted our decision. There was something off about the taste of the food. I notified the employee at the register, and asked for a refund. She responded with "We don't do refunds". After further inspection I noticed their health score was an 85, and they seemed to have lost points for not properly dating and storing their food. I wish I would have noticed the health score sooner, but it was tucked away behind the counter where it isn't obviously noticeable. My wife and I tossed our full plates and left. What a waste of money. P.S. I noticed other folks complain about their food tasting funky in their reviews, and they received refunds. The clams were thick and juicy, the soup was rich and creamy, and while I can't say I've ever had "authentic" New England clam chowder, this one totally satisfied my craving. So, close enough. Now, let's talk about the reason to come here, the lobster rolls. I got my hands on one, and let me tell you, this is not some sad, skimpy sandwich. The portion was generous. Think big, meaty chunks of fresh lobster, perfectly cooked to be both tender and satisfyingly firm. Each chunky morsel is tucked inside a nice, buttery, toasted roll. The Maine-style roll, served chilled with a light touch of mayo, was delicious. The lobster rolls here seem like the real deal. The Crab roll was nice too. The texture was more homogeneous because they mixed in crab meat with the tangy mayo. It was like chicken salad but with crab instead. It also came on a nice, buttery, toasted roll. I liked it, but I think I would pay the extra $6 (what am I made of money?) to get the chunky, delicious lobster roll. For a fast-casual joint, this place is not cheap. But you're paying for quality, and thankfully, they don't short you on the good stuff. That being said, unless you're rolling in cash, this probably isn't your go-to lunch spot. But if you're craving lobster rolls or any of the casual seafood goodness, this is a great place to try out. read more

Came here off of an IG recommendation and was not disappointed. So this place is a bit far from the city but a straight shot so we went during the day before catching a movie . First impression, it's very clean inside and the food came out fairly quickly. Out of all the items pictured the only ones I wasn't a fan of were the lobster bisque and the grilled cheese with the lobster and shrimp. They didn't taste bad, but the combined flavors weren't my fav. My guy put me on the spot and had me do a Keith lee review video . After the hype died down I finally got a chance to check out Steami's Lobster! When I came in at 530 on a Wednesday it was not packed at all. The first thing I noticed was how small it was on the inside. Well, it wasn't small but it was smaller than expected based on the hype. On a busy day, seating might be a struggle. But there's plenty of free parking in the lot so take out wouldn't be a hassle. I ordered the crab roll warmed with a side of lobster bisque. The meal itself came with Cole slaw and a pickle. At the front, I got a little container to add some garlic mayo into. The crab roll was pretty good, well seasoned, and an ample enough of crab in my opinion. It tasted even better when dipped into the garlic mayo. Next time I have to get fries instead because the mayo was so good. I'm not the biggest fan of coleslaw, but I was able to indulge in this one which is a plus! I normally skip out on coleslaw but this one was pretty good. To avid Cole slaw eaters this was probably nothing special but I was a fan. The bisque was served super hot and came with little oyster crackers which I liked. I enjoyed the bisque but I think next time I'd try their clam chowder. All in all, my meal was about $25 which for a crab role I think is pretty fair pricing. I would suggest opting for Mac and cheese or fries as a side to make it a more filling meal. read more

Visited May 20, 2023. This place is a small fast casual restaurant incorparating fresh seafood ingredients in their items, north of Atlanta. In fear of cross contamination, I wouldn't come here if you have a high seafood allergy, hence the name of the restaurant, there is a very limited non seafood selection. I ordered the lobster roll, 5 stars for its price, taste, and portion. It was so juicy + flavorful. Everything else was good and the dining areas were clean. Inside is small so it wouldn't be good for groups larger than 5. Service was okay. There are two restrooms near the back. Parking is shared with other businesses within the plaza. Even though I've lived in New England for a bit, I haven't quite found a lobster roll that I've loved (or could quite justify the price point.) But Steami's delivers where many fall short. We ordered the Ultimate Trio and two lobster and shrimp grilled cheeses. Maybe our eyes were hungrier than our stomach, but we could have done without one grilled cheese. We were stuffed by the end. I liked the Connecticut lobster roll. I haven't tried their Maine version yet, but that would be my next try if I come back. The crab roll and the shrimp roll are good, but not my favorite. If I was going to spend $58 next time, I'd probably just order two lobster rolls. The lobster and shrimp grilled cheese is huge! We enjoyed it with the fries, which was crisp and well-seasoned. We also got the mac and cheese and clam chowder as sides. I didn't get to try the chowder, but the mac and cheese was pretty good. Overall, enjoyed my visit and would come again. Finally made it to Steami's and it definitely passes the lobster roll test for me. There's only one other place in the metro area that the size of the lobster roll matches the price tag and I'm glad to say Stormi's also passes that test.
