I've been hearing about this Venezuelan restaurant called Pepitazo for a while. They specialize in Pepitos which are Venezuelan street food. My wife, Maria B, who is a Yelp Elite, and I decided to go and try it. We started with an order of Tequenos as appetizer which were pretty big. The Tequenos alone were pretty filling however I needed to try a bite of the famous pepitos of Pepitazo. I ordered the four cheese pepito as someone who loves cheese and I simply couldn't resist the urge to try it. Along with the Pepito came crispy fries and they also had a variety of Venezuelan sauces such as Bacon, Garlic, Blue Cheese and Cheese. I have to say the bacon one was my favorite but the other sauces were pretty good too. The portions of the pepitos were gigantic and very filling as well as delicious. Just visited Pepitazo for the first time with my husband and we really enjoyed the food! I ordered the champi gratinado and he got the crispy chicken and Nutella churros, everything was delicious and flavorful. My only complaint is that we didn't receive a warm greeting when we walked in. But overall, the food made up for it and we'd definitely come back to try more items on the menu. Me and my husband wanted to try this Venezuelan restaurant for a very long time and we finally made it to this side of town so we had to stop by! Pepitazo specializes in Pepitos which are Venezuelan street food sandwiches full of meat, different toppings and special sauces. We were the only ones in the store by lunch time so our ordering process was super fast. We were greeted by a lady who took our order and she was nice. This is what we ordered: *Tequeños ($7, 4 pc) *Pepitazo: Tenderloin mixed with bacon, potato sticks, corn, Parmesan cheese and special sauce ($15.99 + $2.49 up charge for steak) *4 Cheese: Tenderloin mixed with bacon, Gouda, Mozzarella, Parmesan and American Cheese ($15.99 + $2.49 up charge for steak) The food was delicious! The tequeños order is just a four piece but they're huge. The pepitos are also HUGE. Each Pepito itself could feed two people. They come with fries as well. My favorite thing was the sauces in the table! They had Bacon, Garlic, Cheese, Blue Cheese and Pepi sauce. Just like the actual Venezuelan street food places! Something I did not like was the upcharge for steak. Nowhere in the menu states steak is extra. It just says you can pick steak or chicken. This is very misleading specially since they're already charging $16 per sandwich. All in all food is delicious but IMO overpriced. $60 for two people for two sandwiches is crazy. Delicious? Yes. But I don't see ourselves coming back as often. For almost $20 for one pepitazo sandwich after tax, I think this is way overpriced. On the menu in the store it said one pepitazo pepito was $15.99 but nowhere did it say that the steak option is an additional charge ($2.49)! Also the cashier was not friendly at all when I ordered nor when I asked for a to go box. The sandwich itself tasted fine, it's basically an open faced sandwich with meat, mini fries, corn, cheese, and sauce on top. One portion is shareable with two people and it comes with a little bit of fries. My favorite part was the five different sauce options, cheese, blue cheese, pepito, garlic, and bacon. read more

It was very nice of her to ask if it was our first time. The foos came out fresh. I ordered the pepitazo with chicken and beef. The sandwich comes with French fries. The portions are very generous, and I highly recommend sharing if you're like me and cannot eat much. I barely ate a 1/4 of my sandwich, but finished all my fries. They have sauces on the table. I randomly got an add for this little place. I've never had anything like this type of food and I was excited to try it. Small little place not busy at all. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and the food came out quickly. Everything was very good! I think my favorite part was the tender meats they had. Pepitazo is a small venezuelan place that sells burguers and pepitos (a long sandwich with different meats and sauces). They also sell very good churros and ice cream in a very peculiar presentation that we venezuelans call "teta". The churros (which was the reason i went) were very good and definitely worth it. I love Venezuelan food, and when my friend told me about the pepito here, I had to come check it out. One pepito can be shared between two people because of the size and all the meat, cheese, and other toppings layered on the flatbread. I love the garlic and corn sauces provided in large bottles for you to use to your heart's desire. The fries had a perfect crispiness to them too. The restaurant was busy on a weekday evening, and the amount of space is on the smaller side. There was only one table left after we placed our orders at the counter. I love Pepiitazo. It's right down the street from me and it's one of my favorite places to get a sandwich. They have so many tasty selections and you always get the bang for your buck. My favorite is the El Tajadas. I get it with chicken and steak, of course it has sweet plantains in it, with the Parmesan truffle fries. Ughhhhh so good y'all! I've also had a burger, the pepitazo and the chicken crispy. I'm just a huge fan of sweet plantains so that's the one I decide to get most of the time. The staff is super sweet and they stay open late on the weekends. You can call ahead if you need to and they have desserts as well. It's usually ice cream and churros then sometimes they have cakes. First time here today for my lunch. Walked in and the nice lady at the front greeted me as she put on her face shield! Nice to see she was taking precautions. I wasn't sure what to get so I asked what her recommendations were and she told me her favorite was the California Pepito so I ended up ordering that. She was extremely nice and the most helpful person I've encountered today (having a bad day at work so that went along well and put me in a better mood the rest of the day) I ordered to go, and it took about maybe 5-7 minutes to get my order done! Super fast and efficient. As I got in my car I couldn't help but smell the deliciousness so I opened my side of fries first! I hate when they get soggy and let me tell you.. The fries were SOOOO good!! Super crispy covered in enough cheese and you could tell the bacon was fresh. I ate these in two seconds LOL so simple yet so delicious! When I got back to work I opened the rest, the bottom part of the bread (just a small corner of it) was a little drenched in oil but still very delicious. I mean, what do you expect ? It's a sandwich cut in half that they pour the meat on top of so it looks like a flat bread with ketchup and other amazing toppings. The lady gave me all the sauces without me even asking for them! I had to grab some utensils for the sandwich because there was a lot of meat to just close it up and bite it like a regular sandwich. I asked her for a menu that I could take to work because I can definitely see us all ordering this for take out on days we have surgery.
