Quick meal in Duluth. The arepas are delicious but a little messy to eat due to the generous amount of filling. We tried an empanada as well. I really enjoyed it. The service was good. The lady at the counter didn't speak much English and the menu I got was in Spanish. After ordering I found an English menu. The dining room is nice. Bright and cheerful. read more

I'm actually shocked that the rating is so low on Yelp. This is located inside the Talpa food court on Buford. My co-worker and I went here for lunch. We typically go by it for the dollar taco special but after we had it, we admitted we'd been sleeping on this spot. Because it's the food court there is plenty of seating. Ordering is at the counter and they'll give you a device to buzz when it is ready. First off, their empanadas - they are arguably the best white empanadas we've had. The outside is crispy and the inside is white and fluffy. It's also well stuffed and comes with a delicious crema. Next, the item in the store name - the zuarepa. You're given probably half a pound of high quality skirt steak. There's that green cream, cotija, and it's amazing. This is the first time I felt like the monry I paid matched the worth of the arepa. You will need a fork to eat this and the small sidd of shoestring fries also help soak up the sauce. We will definitely be back and be trying other items. Apologies to the store for sleeping on it before. read more

I was recommended this place by a friend because they have good empanadas. I was pretty hungry so I tried an arepa instead and the cashier helped me choose because I told her it was my first time trying one. The service was so friendly and very nice. The food was amazing. I had the #1 with chicken but I want to try shredded beef next time. I'd definitely visit again and will bring my husband next time. read more

My bf and I were craving Venezuelan food today, so I looked for a Venezuelan place nearby and Zuarepa was the closest. My bf had been there before but it was my first time there. I really liked the service and overall place; very clean and bright. My bf and I we're both Venezuelans so we're familiar with the food. I was especially craving cachapas; if you like corn and cheese, you will love it. My bf was craving empanadas and tequeños and both were very delicious. The empanadas were warm and the fillings were cooked to perfection. On the other hand, the tequeños were crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.. just great! Enza, our server, was very helpful and nice. I will definitely recommend this place and I'll be going regularly for sure. read more

What customer service? I was not greeted or even recognized after 5 mins of standing at the counter and waiting. The staff of two women had zero urgency. I left without placing an order. read more

Delicious!!! I couldn't really understand why the ratings were lower but I read them and noticed it wasn't really issues with the food but with the store, cleanliness, or customer service! Cashier was really sweet. She recommended all the empanadas and the number 1 on the menu and it was incredible. We got chicken and cheese empanadas. I only briefly took a look around and the store looked clean. It was later in the evening so it wasn't like hot inside/outside. Didn't see too many staff members or see anything in terms of gloves, hair nets, etc. wasn't particularly looking hard though. I would definitely come back 1000% read more

Let's begin.... 1. As we approached the counter we weren't greeted, so I bypassed it. 5 mins later she still did not acknowledge us, I was about to say something rude front person. She made a face to everyone who approached like why have this kind of service 2. Arepas, 4 to be precise took 32 mins!!! Never in my life have I had to wait this long. I've been to better Venezuelan restaurants! And my cheese was cold!! 32 mins for a cold cheese to be inserted into my arepa like ummmmmm okay! 3 No freaking AC in this 90 degree weather! That's as much as I will say!!!! If I could give it a zero I would! Will not come back read more

The food taste good and portion sizes are decent. I ordered arepa reina and it was great, I also ordered the cheese sticks tequenos and they tasted undercooked, I pointed out to the server and she sent it back to cook longer. It came back better but it was still undercooked. They play very loud music and don't use A/C or heater, get your food to go! read more

ZUAREPA Lawrenceville - 26. Tequenos - Venezuelan Near Me - Lawrenceville, Georgia

Went last night after craving some Venezuelan food and the service is absolute trash. While ordering at the counter, I being Hispanic, in a Hispanic restaurant, be when ordering the Hispanic food with Hispanic names in Spanish... only to have the very Hispanic woman taking my order continue to repeat and ask me questions about my order in English. Mind you, that's no problem had I been speaking to her in English but considering I was speaking Spanish and she continued to reply in English not even knowing if I spoke English, extremely rude. And best part is she began speaking Spanish to her coworkers and the party after me. Don't get it ... I also asked if I can have lettuce added to my order and she replied with a quick "no". What meal can't you ever have any lettuce added to? There is no cooking of the lettuce or anything, simply throw it on top for all I care. It's not that much of a personalized request.... Still, they refused to. The food has potential. The employees and customer service will run it to the ground. Sad. read more

I ordered via a delivery app during COVID times. I got a chorizo patacon, and while it was a simple dish, the bang for buck ratio was amazing, and the flavor was amazing! The portion is also huge - the sandwich felt like it was two servings and I was so full afterwards. Would definitely order again when I am craving some south american flavors! read more

Good food good service all they serve is hot and tasty I had a cepillado- Raspado whit a lot of condensed milk the best

I came here about a week ago, met a friend of mine here. We were ordering in front cashier, cute girl who is taking our order, she didn't spoke much English, luckily my friend spoke Spanish to her. I was looking inside the kitchen, staff was not wearing protecting gear, watch them grab raw food with bare hand and chatting while they were preparing food in front of them. I was disgusted it, I decided not to order any food. I understand if your vaccinated, that's only apply for mask, not the gloves. My friend over heard from staff that they are NOT vaccinated and they refused to wear mask. As soon as she told me that, I immediately threw away her food and left the building. Guys, I heard they were shut down before due to covid, be careful out there. Food is good but not sure about safety read more

The staff is very rude. I made a pick up order with my phone and when I arrived they didn't even know about my order and the cashier did not show any sign of interest about it. After that I had to wait about 15-20 min for my food. So there was no point of making a call and picking up the food 20 min after the call. Also the food is expensive for what you get and not really good in terms of taste. read more

No no no! Only one food item was good so I'll give them an extra star for that (the carne asada zuarepa). Ordered an American burger which was super dry and fries were super salty. Paid $13 for a shrunken burger and a handful of fries. They forgot the plantains and we finished our food and I am writing this as we wait for it. Surprise credit card surcharge of 3.5%. If you are going to charge added fees, it needs to be displayed clearly at the point of sale. Also, tip is not supposed to be calculated on the after tax amount. Why am I tipping on tax??? Restaurants are doing this sly nonsense these days. Won't stay open too long with this dishonest behavior. read more

Ordered via take out delivery app and was very pleasantly surprised. The pabellon empanadas were spot on. Will definitely be ordering these again. The cheese tequenos were fought over by the pickiest eater in our house. My only complaint was that the diet Cokes I ordered tasted like regular Coke which I can't drink. Happens everywhere so no complaints and not worth taking away from the yummy food! read more

Make sure you pay attention to all the ingredients before ordering. The cashier didn't want to switch out my arepa bc it comes w the green mayo sauce and it's stated on the menu. I know restaurants usually will replace something like that, especially after spending $25 and tipping but didn't want to argue w them after already waiting 30 minutes for my to go order. I left the arepa there with them and don't plan on returning. Customer service and professionalism is a big deal to me and I can't say I got that there. read more
