I am a huge fan of lobster rolls, and will never turn down the chance to grab some, so it was great to hear that there was a place in Georgia! Steami's Lobster was in a convenient location and the menu was pretty straightforward! Our group got the Ultimate Trio, along with some Chowder Fries and the Lobster Mac & Cheese. It was quite pricey, but that's just lobster in general, so I wasn't too concerned. Everything was super scrumptious and juicy, and the bread for the rolls were amazingly buttered to perfection. Came on a Monday during lunchtime. Nice ambiance with chill music and friendly counter service. It is expensive ($28 for the lobster rolls) but what isn't these days. The lobster was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of mayo and a deliciously buttered bun. The lobster itself was super high quality claw meat and honestly it doesn't get better. The fries were also great. Piping hot and perfectly seasoned. A bit over priced but the food is fresh and they don't skimp on the lobster meat. I would prefer it to be a little more seasoned, but it did the trick. I am so lucky to be able to experience this kinda food in lil old Gwinnett County, while still growing rapidly, i must say, ya girl is impressed! i havent gotten the opportunity to dine in just yet, so both times that i have tried it was thru delivery, yet the food was still hot and delicious, i couldnt tell the difference. my favorite is def. the hot butter lobster roll, however the shrimp roll and the crab comes pretty close. i think every time i visit my mind wants to order the trio because i simply can not order and not have a bite (or 2) of each one. It's been hard to find New England style lobster rolls around here, but Steami's hit the spot. We got the Connecticut style. The bread was perfectly toasted with huge pieces of lobster. I've been eyeballing this place for awhile especially since they're beside ebisu so we finally stopped by Menu is straightforward - rolls, fries, Mac n cheese and soups which is plenty of offerings to specialize in. We got the steami fries with lobster for $15 and it's a great entree. A ton of fries so my husband and I split it and plenty of toppings too. It's absolutely delicious with cheese, sour cream, bacon and lobster.. fries are perfectly cooked and each bite even fries on bottom somehow had toppings too. Ordered the Maine Lobster Roll during their Grand Opening - so it was just $14 (vs $28 regular price) ... and it was amazing! My lobster roll was packed with big lobster chunks, the meat tasted fresh, it had the right amount of mayo, and they served the right type of buttered brioche roll too. Honestly I had low expectations b/c well, this is Duluth, not Maine or Boston - so I was very pleasantly surprised and pleased ... and the 50% off grand opening special was sweet too! The roll also comes w/ a pickle, and fries or salad - I opted for the Caesar Salad which was good but drowning in salad dressing so I shared that feedback with one of the staff to use less dressing :) Also tried a 4oz. cup of Lobster Bisque - that was good too and had big chunks of lobster. Would I pay $28 for the lobster roll? Hmmm ... not sure but I could see myself splurging for one if I'm craving a lobster roll - and I'd definitely come here. Driving up to the store, parking was limited. You should come from Venture Drive, or risk waiting to make a u-turn on Steve Reynolds. Store was easy to find thanks to the big sign hanging on the front of the store. Walking in, the restaurant was very clean. The cashier and employees were very nice. They checked in on us to make sure everything was alright. For the food, we ordered the habanero crab grilled cheese, Maine lobster roll, and clam chowder. Everything tasted good. The lobster was fresh and the bread was well toasted. The grilled cheese was good, however, we wished the crab meat was in chunks instead of shredded as it felt like a tuna sandwich. Finally, the clam chowder was good with nice pieces of clam. It was free when you checked in through the Yelp app. Definitely a do over! read more

Stopped by Sunday afternoon after hearing that a new lobster roll place opened up. FOOD: Connecticut Lobster Roll ($28) - Smaller than I imagined from pictures but packed with a lot of meat. The bread is very buttery, soft, and tasty. I'm a bit torn on the taste since some of the lobster meat tasted fresh and some didn't. It didn't have too much flavor so we ended up adding some of the garlic mayo they gave us to the roll. It comes with a side so we chose fries which were very good. The fries were crispy and flavored perfectly. Also gave a decent portion. Crab Roll ($20) + Mac And Cheese ($2) - All the rolls come with 1 side. Apart from fries or salad, all the other sides are an extra charge. The lump crab filling could do with a lot more seasoning. It was very very bland. The Mac and cheese was decent as well but tasted great with some hot sauce. Lobster Bisque ($6) - The lobster bisque had a couple pieces of lobster in it that were great. The taste was okay but the consistency was very off, extremely watery. SERVICE: You order at the front and then find a seat. The receipts come with an order number but the server doesn't call it, they bring it to your table so make sure to tip. There is a station next to the front where you can get water cups, hot sauce (Louisiana hot sauce and Tabasco), knifes, and extra plates. Straws aren't at the station, but they have it if you ask. Overall, it seems like they have some quirks to work out as they have just opened. I can tell the food, quality, and presentation have all been very thought out, but think they might need to get a bit more feedback from customers to perfect the taste of some of the dishes. This is a nice addition to an area full of hidden gems. My co-workers told me I had to try this place for lunch, so I did. The was tempted to order ahead online, but they told me it will be quick once I walked in... and it was! I love this place! I've gone 3 times and I just moved to GA a few months ago. The staff is always nice and attentive. The food is AMAZING. I've almost tried everything on the menu and I must say the Lobster Mac & Cheese is a HIT everytime! Ive dined in each time, and they usually have something entertaining on the TVs, so that's a plus. When you check in on Yelp they have an offer to receive a free soup of your choice. I chose the lobster bisque. It was just okay hence the removal of 1 star. I really enjoyed my visit to Steami's. The lobster rolls were so big and had nice big chunks of lobster. I also liked that the lobster really shined and wasn't overpowered by any other part of the roll. The crab roll was also really good and had a great flavor and again had a nice crab flavor. Very interesting concept and very well done . This was my first time at this place and it came via an instagram posting . Normally those postings look far better than what arrives at the table but this time very much on par. It being my first time and me being alone I am sure I missed out on trying some amazing things however I am sure that I got a good sample of what this restaurant is capable of, and will return to try a few other things again. The ambience is what you would expect it's a smaller restaurant, one large communal table, and various two and four top tables around. It also has a few televisions for local events and sports and so on. I ordered at the kiosk, but was offered to order at the counter, I just did not want to take a time at the counter, while I looked at the menu and tried to figure it out, so you order at the kiosk, and pay, or at the counter and pay at the counter, you're given a number and at the kiosk you printed a receipt, but they know your name from the receipt and bring the food to you in either way. I had the lobster roll french fries and macaroni and cheese. Topped with lobster. The lobster roll was spot on lots of lobster meat, an entire claw as well as some tail a very very respectable amount of lobster meat in the lobster roll I received. The lobster mac & cheese, which was topped with lobster was slightly greasy on top, but once mixed together it was fine. I assume it was something from the lobster or possibly the macaroni and cheese, sat for a minute before the lobster was added to it, a little separation, but a generous amount of lobster meat on it, and it was very good and very creamy. The fries were average at best I would expect a place serving a a higher end thing, such as a lobster. Roll to kind of focus on French fries and not use frozen bagged, but with the amount of business they were doing I also see how it benefits them. All in all this was a huge success my lobster roll lobster, macaroni and cheese and french fries came to $42 with tip and that's very reasonable considering cousins lobster rolls are between 26 and $28 alone so they are priced in the market value, the lobster mac & cheese I believe was $12 and I think the best value . I cannot rave about SL enough. The food is delicious, the service is friendly and efficient, and the space itself is clean and bright. Food: - Crab Roll: I got mine warm but I think cold would be just as good. They STUFF crab in there, my roll was overflowing. They really let the flavor of the seafood shine so if you prefer more seasonings you'll need to let them know. The crab was sweet and tender, not fishy at all. The bread was buttery but not so much that it became soggy. - Lobster bisque: the bisque could've used a touch more seasoning and mine didn't come with any pieces of lobster, but I'm gonna chuck that to mine being the first scoop from the pot since I came so early. The soup was creamy and rich. - Caesar salad: standard Caesar salad, I think they make their croutons because they aren't the crazy hard kinds you get at the store. - Cole slaw: I love their cole slaw, it's heavily mayo based and on the sweet side. There aren't "servers", you place your order at the counter and they bring you your food once it's ready. Regardless, they were very nice and checked up on everyone multiple times. I love that the restaurant is surrounded by tall windows, it makes the space inviting. It is a smaller spot so you may not have seats during a rush. My wife saw them advertised on social media and I decided to take her on a date day. I can say this place was worth the 45 minute drive. We love lobster rolls and go all over the city trying them. This is hands down one of the best we had around the city. The menu is simple, short and to the point. I was impressed they only had one person running the front counter and she was very efficient. In one word: meh Overall, feel a little overpriced for what you pay for. Lobster does not seem that fresh and is lacking flavor. I will say that the Chowder Fries are on point! Let's start with the fries. Chowder Fries: these are amazing! If only rating the place for their fries easily 4 stars. Whoever thought of putting clam chowder on fries is a genius. Especially because I love fries, but always want clam chowder at a seafood spot, so basically had exactly what I was looking for. The ratio of fries to chowder is perfect. The chowder is not too runny and is a little thick allowing it to stick to the fries for perfect gooey goodness. Just a great combination. Highly recommend these. Maine Lobster Roll: here where things went downhill. Presentation looks good with the roll served on a piece of thick buttery toast. The lobster unfortunately just does not have that lobster flavor. Really bland tasting lobster. I am not a lobster expert, so cannot say if it was previously frozen, but could be considering the lack of flavor. Most of the lobster is cooked okay. You get a few chewy chunks mixed in. For the price, not really the quality I was expecting. Feel there are other places in Atlanta you can get a better lobster roll for a similar price. Also, lobster roll comes with a spicy mayo type sauce. Honestly, any lobster roll I feel needs to be dipped in sauce to add flavor just is not good enough. That being said, the lobster roll with the sauce is pretty good. Definitely, not on par with anything you can find in the Northeast, especially in Maine. In the end, if you are from the Northeast, prepare to be disappointed. If you are just looking for a lobster roll, this might be the place to go. We ordered the Ultimate Trio with cheese fries. This came with a crab roll, shrimp roll, and we selected the Maine lobster roll for our choice of the lobster roll. The lobster roll was pretty good, packed full of flavor, buttered, but felt like it was missing one more thing. Still would give it a nice 8/10 The shrimp roll was my favorite, but I'm biased since I love shrimp. Giant juicy shrimp that filled the roll with a nice sauce covering it. 9/10 Crab roll was our least favorite, but maybe because neither of us really like crab so we are biased against it. It's the "fishiest". Even with the lemon and pickle, it was just so fishy. Not sure a better word to describe it unfortunately. 5/10 Cheese fries were food. Was like a melted white queso. Fries could use a little more seasoning though but still good. Service was really fast, came around 5pm during the week. Service was nice although they didn't do warm when they asked if we wanted the lobster warm. But still really good lobster. Ambiance is standard, bright lights, large table that can fit 10 or so in the middle with smaller booths on the side and small tables by the window. Food was very filling. Forgot to post this on Saturday 1/21/23. Should have taken pics of the interior but was so hungry and from the looks of every seat taken in the house...this was gonna be good. Steami's did not disappoint. Lobster roll was grilled to perfection and cradled that precious lobster like it was supposed to with some overflow but I ain't complaining about that at all. Coleslaw was tasty as well and a nice bonus. Only complaint is the fries were cold. No bueno. If you haven't been yet...run! Another Gwinnett gem. read more

Simply scrumptious! I was having a burning desire for a Connecticut style lobster roll (as one does) and decided, after careful deliberation, that it was right to shell out $30 bucks for one. I placed an order easily for pick up through phone for a lobster roll with fries and a clam chowder (bonus freebie for checking in on Yelp). The food was a bit cold by the time I drove home but a beauty nonetheless. It also came with coleslaw and a spicy mayo for the fries. The lobster was plentiful i a perfectly buttered bun, so much so, that I saved some to make an omelette with (call me crazy but I prefer smaller bites of lobster). All to say, a good deal. Fries were cooked and seasoned well, but the highlight was the clam chowder. Chunky, potatoey, and perfectly seasoned. It could have used more clam pieces but who am I to complain for a freebie?
