lied to me . said my mentally disabled son would get dessert with a candle and get ssung happy birthday by the staff. was prearrangeed and confirmed on arrival by the guy id spoken to the day before to set it up. lousy service. waitress was also the bartender. had to ask for water 3 dang times before it came. after dinner no service at all. i finally went and found her to get the cake going and she saaid i don't know what you're talking about we don't do that. then the manager, head idiot, comes to our table and says we don't have birthday cake or candles and i said thanks for ruining his surprise.get our check now. waited 5 more gd minutes. ken put $10 on the table and we went up front to ask for the check again. the bitchy waitress brings it out in a sleeve and slaps it on the desk i took out the $ and slapped it down. she looks at it & f'ing walks away muttering put it in the sleeve which i did and then i slammed it down. she picks it up and says are you good.i said no hell im not. go get my $1.50 change. meanwhile i go back to the table and take back the tip. i leave and she chases me outside to say hey don't you want your change and i said trust me you'll need it worse than us. i've never been so gd angry. i'll never ever go back to a red lobster. we live on disability and social security. drove 70 miles round trip and spent our spending money for the entire month at a place that showed no respect to paying customers that prearrangeed a celebration for a mentally disabled child. disgusting. they're lucky i left the way i did. we went in at 3:30 and there were 4 other customers in the whole place. maybe if the waitress/bartender had been doing her gd job instead of yakking in the kitchen forcing 33% of the customers to wait and beg for water the place might be successful. hope they close this one down next. now i understand why red lobster is losing stores everyday. also thanks to the young man i spoke to multiple times about what i wanted. i asked do i have to bring a cake or candles he said mam everything will be taken care of don't worry about anything and confirmed it when we got there. why the f+*k did you duck behind a wall when i saw you as i was leaving? these people, the greeter, the waitress and the manager need to be fired! if you're stupid enough to go here you deserve what you get! read more

Went for lunch today in Dothan Alabama. I ordered Fried shrimp platter with baked potato and side of coleslaw. I received a plate with 5 fried shrimp, shrimp scampi, shrimp pasta with the baked potato. Had to ask another sever for my coleslaw received 5 minutes later. It was disappointing because I didn't want anything but fried shrimp. My friend ordered the Crab boil, it was ok not seasoned enough. For over 100 spend was a little disappointed. read more

Another wonderful lunch with the ladies at Red Lobster! The food was excellent according to everyone else as I personally am allergic to seafood and I'm a vegetarian on top of that, so not too many choices but my Mother and the other ladies absolutely love it. My husband and I went to eat today at Red Lobster looking forward to Lobsterfest...our we both ordered the Sirloin and lobster tail from the menu...we had a good waitress but when the food arrived, my husband's steak was so tough he could barely cut through it and both of the lobster tails were awful...my steak was not good either....to make a long story short...87.50 was what we paid for 2 bites of steak and 2 bites of lobster tail...we had not been there in quite a few years and have absolutely NO plans to ever eat there again! read more

The bottled beers were great. Stopped on the way home from a Florida vacation - about 2pm. Service was slow. Biscuits were either overcooked or had sat forever - perhaps even left over from others' meals!! (Hopefully Not-Yuck) They advertise FRESH biscuit.!! so let me try to keep this short as possible! This establishment has been here for probably four decades. It's been years since I've been in and I thought I would give it a chance because I have the endless shrimp which I love. So I went in roughly 12 weeks ago 9/23 and it was a great value at $20 but let me tell you the service absolutely horrifying! No lie it took over 2.5?hours to complete my visit! I explained to the waitress the problem I had with the previous visit and the service was better. Food was OK The restaurant was empty, but it still took forever to get are food. still, it was a disappointing experience, who won the price to the service service on both what's terrible? So it takes me to yesterday evening 12/7/23 The price went from $22-$25 so we're talking an increase of 25% in 12 weeks nothing changed. In no way shape form or fashion is a 25% increase acceptable for any service especially fast food Service was absolutely terrible again! So this was my third and last time ever visiting this establishment called red lobster! As soon as we sat down, I was informed by the server that they were out of french fries or mashed potatoes! Wow, really a restaurant serving seafood without french fries not acceptable. Sams was less than a half a mile. They could've got all the fries they wanted, but was told by the server that corporate would not allow it.! OK, then shut the doors you're not given the customer what they deserve or are paying for. So we place the order again for Italy shrimp, and it was roughly 30 minutes food was delivered cold once again, the waiter blamed the cook. Food does not come out cold because The cook delighted it was sitting, waiting for the waiter to pick it up and deliver. That's a no-brainer. So, as soon as the food was delivered, we requested a re-order of endless shrimp. Wow, what a disappointment. Sorry sir we're out of this particular re-order that you're asking for. Omgosh shut the door once again, such a disappointment. I'm paying for a product that I'm not delivered. Well, this is no lie 40 minutes later we have not received our re-order. At this point, I requested a manager and canceled the order and ask for the bill. The manager was so apologetic, at this point this is where I intervened, and expressed my view that she or her staff we're being Wayover paid because nothing changed in 12 weeks. To top this off, I emailed corporate 12 hours later, I still have not received a response does that tell you anything. Stay out of this restaurant you will be highly disappointed I promise you!!! A bit of a wait for a table, but the staff was super friendly and explained that it was limited seating due to being short staffed. This I understand!! Service was great! Madilyn was our server and she was super attentive and took really good care of us! I got the fried seafood platter & my boyfriend got a steak. His steak was perfectly cooked & well seasoned. My food on the other hand was over fried so the fish was dried out, clam strips were hard, and shrimp was just lackluster. The Brussels sprouts were weird! Walking up to the door, there was a smell coming from the kitchen exhaust that made us think twice about even going in. Texas Roadhouse had a 30 min wait, so we decided to just go in and eat. We were seated immediately, and our server was very prompt with drinks and a starter. Our starter was calamari, and was absolutely fried in old oil, you can always tell when the oil is way old, so not a good start to our dinner. Steak was delicious, Lobster was pretty small, scallops wrapped in bacon were ok, bacon seemed like it was oven baked and sat for a little while. We had an excellent waitress so right off the bat she made our overall experience a pleasant one and was very attentive. But does anyone remember when Red Lobster was like THE romantic place to go for a date or a celebration dinner? Well that whole atmosphere has left and Red Lobster is just a shell of its once illustrious self. It's lighting makes it look like your inside a submarine. This is hands down the worst red lobster Ive ever been in. They are understaffed, the staff they have is rude and short. The wait around 3pm was said to be 20 minutes and hour later our table was ready. When I asked about the wait after about 40 minutes I was told "you just have to wait" No no I don't. Manager finally brought order out and was missing cheese biscuits. So more than 15 minutes after order was supposed to be picked up, I walked out of restaurant! While waiting, I saw a server drop several of a customers chips on the floor and he left them on the floor and stilled served the man the chips! Another man was at the bar waiting on king crab legs, when he got them they were cold! More apologies!! If you were thinking about going there today or any other day you might want to rethink. Here's why: Pros: They have a lighter side menu (1/2 star) The cheddar biscuits were perfect (1/2 star, these need to always be right) At least one of the servers considered the lack of service from another member of their own team. (1 solid star for the save) Cons: *Overpriced food for the lack of flavor. (Nashville hot shrimp are just breaded and fried shrimp with some sugar and honey on them. No hot spice or Nashville type spicy dry seasoning were applied to the shrimp.) *garlic overload on everything else *6 oz. Sirloin cost 18.99 with a shrimp skewer. Sirloin was cooked correctly(medium rare) but was very gristle-y and had more fat than usual for a sirloin. * Steamed broccoli was less than steamed. Crunchy stalks mean that it didn't get steamed long enough. *Staff and servers consistently messed up orders, sent food to wrong table, and lacked any motivation to refill drinks (water)(20 minutes to get a refill). This happened while we were there within one hour to at least 2 tables around us. I would consider this is it were absolutely crazy hectic, but it wasn't. The restaurant was only about 60% full at the time. In closing, what I saw was a lack of proper management and coaching. These types of things happen in a restaurant that is newly opened or under new management/staff. Do not go here unless you just want a drink (maybe the bar offers better service) and a cheddar biscuit or you will leave disappointed and upset about how much you spent for a sub par meal and service. read more

We visited on Saturday, March 16, 2019. We were looking forward to eating here because it had been a while since we had the chance. I'm sad to say it was disappointing. Our waitress was just ok. I ordered the 12 oz. New York strip steak, the only way I can descirbe it is mushy, flavorless, and dry. The little advertisements on the tables gives off a cheesy casual dinning feeling. The carpet could do with a cleaning. Cloth napkins would also be a plus. The paper napkins make it feel like a quick in and out, not the sit down restaurant the prices indicate it should be. It wasn't busy at all but it was super slow! I ordered the surf n turf and my husband ordered a shrimp trio, our son had the kids grilled chicken with orange slices. Then portions were extremely small and tasted awful! The orange slices were dried out and chicken undercooked. My lobster was so rubbery I couldn't eat it.. The shrimp tasted like freezer burn. Now all of that wouldn't have been so awful but I have been wanting a long Island for a very long time, that was the main reason for going there tonight. It was the worst long Island I've ever had. I've gone three times hoping it would get better and up to par with other red Lobsters. This one is not worth the price at all. Everything, from the salad dressing to the cheddar biscuits (how do you eff up those??), to the actual entrees is so lackluster. Half of our food came out wrong. They remade it but by the time it came out I had already eaten all of mine. The waitress asked me if I wanted a Togo box before my boyfriends food was even out. In the last 6 months of visiting with my family I have been served rotten lettuce, had to wait over 30 minutes for my drinks to even reach my table and then only got refills when I went to the bar to get them. Rude waitresses and waiters and a manager who instead of apologizing for the poor service makes excuses. I have even had them charge me for food not ordered. I highly suggest that anyone that wants good lobster goes to ihop because even they would have better quality food. Never again will I or my family be eating at red lobster. We have given this place three opportunities to provide a quality experience. First, the restaurant smells (not of fresh seafood) and the floors and walls are dirty. The last time we went we had a plate with 3 rotten mussels. The bread was insanely salty. We couldn't eat it. When we mentioned it to the server we were just told,"I don't eat that so I don't know what it's supposed to taste like." Well, where should I start. The sefood pizza was delicious, and gone without a drink, my water still had not made its way to the table. My wine came with salad, but my combo scallops and wood fire shrimp did not come together. I got the shrimp and broccoli and my water, which all of this was gone by the time the scallops came, still no rice. Which we had to ask for. Server reply was "ok I will get you some", still no refills. Not date night, I was on travel time arriving by 3:45, 1 hour and 20 minutes later I was out the door. Last night I visited Dothan Red Lobster. My family and I often eat at this restaurant and we usually get decent service. However last night was an exception. Our server last night was rude and inattentive but only towards us. We could clearly see and hear her being polite and helpful to all the customers at her other tables but when it came to helping us that was not the case. She did not refill our drinks, we had to ask her to remove dirty dishes from the table, and one of our appetizers was late. She clearly seemed bothered that we were there. My Son took me to the Dothan, AL Red Lobster for Mother's Day. The employees were wonderful especially our waitress Red. The food was on the whole pretty good until my son got to his crab. When my son pulled his crab leggs apart most of it had no meat and the parts that did have meat came out so dry that dust like particles flew out of them when he pulled them apart. They were so dry he just put the rest on a side plate and didn't get to eat any more crabmeat. I feel that was a big waste of my Son's hard earned Military money. I had a great time because my Son took me and the Employees were great. The lamps above the tables constantly literally basically pored out dust into the air over our food.
