I visited this Dothan location the day after Valentine's Day and I was so pleased! The waitress was very attentive and fast and the restaurant was actually very clean considering the day after a very busy day. When I expected greasy tables and greasy places to sit, there was none of the floor was not greasy nor slippery so it actually showed that they do take pride and cleaning their area. 1 star. Would not recommend. (JADA was our server) They told us "scan the code on the tissue holder, leave a review, and get free appetizers." So I literally left a 5-star review and completed the survey while we were eating. Then when the check came, they STILL charged us for the expensive appetizers. That already left a bad impression. On top of that, the service was horrible. Took forever just to get seated, forever to get our food, and even longer to get the check. The servers barely checked on us and acted like everything was an inconvenience. The Sprite tasted completely watered down too. Overall just a frustrating experience and definitely not worth the money. Don't promise customers free appetizers if you're still going to charge them anyway. read more

This is one of the few places in Dothan that you can get sweet, buttrey crawfish and nice sides for a nice price. Not only that, whether you wish to get sloppy or play it safe, the servers give you plenty of bibs, gloves and other materials to clean up and take home at the end. The portions are excellent and I wish I had room for dessert. I wish they had bread, but that would have kept me from having the octopus ball or the steamed oyster. I really wanted a Caesar salad but I would have had to roll myself home. The sex on the beach is also nice and they are friendly in the soda refills. Great Customer service by Chasity who was the host/cashier. When placing to go order at restaurant she asked me the type of seasonings I wanted and when I asked to have her go outside to get the seasoning on the food she went above and beyond to go out and assist my mom. The #1 combos everyone enjoyed it. Mom even said the food was better than steak. Only issue was shrimp didn't have all of the shell off. This location also is very quiet too. The reservation options are terrible. Tried to make them online and you have to call the restaurant directly. Then when I called to ask about making one, the lady just said "No." Offered no explanation as to why initially so I asked if it was because they are already booked and she condescendingly said they don't do reservations same-day or for holidays. Just thinking about this place makes me hungry, even at 9am! My hubs and I went by ourselves and we both got the holiday special they were having at the time. It reminded me of Joe's Crabshack but less crowded and the food was PERFECTLY cooked!! Even after bringing it home and eating it as leftovers, I was still just as delicious. "Hellloooooo New York" is the first thang I said when we walked in and saw KEKE PALMERRRRR on the wall oooh fancy. We spent most of our wait time looking at the celebrities on the wall and we were sat very quickly where we were introduced to our phenomenal server Killah. We got Arnold Palmer and a water cause me and my lady weren't trying to get lit but still decided to get a tequila sour , and then comes the menu as my gorgeous beautiful intelligent girlfriend had never been to this restaurant I said "baby get whatever you want" (I said with my back sweating) she said "I will" as I smiled back heartbroken knowing my money is about to get sucked outta my wallet and start looking she got the number 1 with two potatoes no corn. I got that ooooweeee shrimp poboy and lemme tell you something. Talk about stuffffeddddd my stomach still hurt now and I done been to the toilet 5 times since then. (10/10 food) Arnold Palmer was great felt like I was golfin with him, the water was from the faucet probably though and that's cool I guess I didn't have to deal with it. Drinks (9.2/10). This was the second time eating at The Juicy Crab, we should have never gone back. The service was absolutely terrible, just as it was the first time. They were not busy at all and it was lunch time, so I would have expected service to be a little better. We asked for refills and after 5-10 minutes we had to ask another server finally she came dropped off the drink and walked off we were ready to order. Once again we had to hunt her down to order. While we were eating not once did she check on us. We ran out of drinks again, and once again we had to hunt her down. The menu is misleading and overpriced for the quality of food. The atmosphere is about the only thing this place has going for them. Hopefully they can improve and if not hopefully something better will take its place. read more

This seafood boil was kickin. The prices were great too. The only complaint I have was the boil was too salty but still tasted good.

Despite the negative reviews we decided to try this place. The shrimp and crab legs were delicious. The crawfish could have been better and will probably skip those next time. That's the only reason for the 4 stars. Dothan doesn't have many options for seafood prepared this way. Give them a try you maybe surprised! read more

I ordered the clams and mussels they only came with one side I had to order the other two which was crazy considering most places gives you two sides. Anyways. I've come back three times hoping the crab legs will be as good as they were the first time I ate here. I eat 2 to 4 servings. Up to $150 per visit. Yet, I continue to be disappointed. Of the 12-14 clusters I've eaten here only two were cooked right. The crab legs are oversteamed, soggy and dripping with water so bad the meat is falling apart and you can't get it out of the shell. Tried this place last Saturday for dinner. We got the cheesesticks and fried green beans for appetizer and the green beans were good but the cheesesticks were nothing to write home about. The service was lacking. We all got the shrimp and chicken tenders. The shrimp and chicken was hand battered and very tasty with the bbq sauce and boom boom sauce to dip the shrimp in. This location used to be a Logans roadhouse in a past life, but the inside decor was completely redone to fit the new seafood theme. The first thing I ordered was an appetizer of hush puppies, and they were just OK. Nothing to write home about. However, my entrée was very good. I ordered the combination number five which is a half pound of boiled crawfish, a half pound of shrimp, a half pound of sausage, one ear of corn, and one small potato. The shellfish were a good size and were not overcooked. I wish that the sausage in the dish would have been andouille. That was the only drawback in my opinion. I went with the." juicy special" seasoning, and chose hot for my spice level. It wasn't as hot as I thought it would be, but still provided a nice kick. It was a lot of food for around $25, so a pretty good value. Our server was friendly and refilled our beverages promptly. I will definitely be going back for more shrimp and crawfish. read more

Fried calamari appetizer was large but very greasy. There was literally a pool of grease in the bottom of the basket. Fried Catfish and shrimp baskets were good (not as greasy) and plenty of food. No cole slaw available and no salads on the menu but they made us two very small side salads for $5/each. Total bill was $68 for an appetizer, two baskets, and two beers. read more

This was just recently opened so I'll give it some time to get their act together maybe come see them in 6 months. This first visit was not good, the only good part was our waitress Kendall, she was great! This was my first time at a Juicy Crab, so not sure if it's all the same. First of all the music was way too loud, we asked them to turn it down but nothing was done. It was very hard to carry on a conversation. The shrimp was very good, unfortunately the catfish was not good. The corn was good, the rice and coleslaw was not so good. Also only plastic utensils, no real silverware. My Friend and I went to Juicy Crab tonight her chose. We were seated the waitress Toshonna M came ask what we would like to drink I told her sweet tea my friend Diet Coke . When she brought the drinks out I ad to send mine back because she brought unsweet tea. We both ordered the #1 she ask what seasoning did I want on mine I told her just garlic and butter , my friend wanted medium spicy we also ordered onion rings . All the food came out at the same time. I tasted mine and it was so spicy after I told her no spicy food. Waited about 5 minutes she finally came back yo the table I told her my food was way to spicy and could not eat it. She apologized and said I told them medium to which I said it was to have no spice to it . She apologized again and took the food back. I invited my wife and grown son and daughter to lunch. We saw the open sign and walked in to be told they wouldn't open for ten more minutes. So we waited outside until they opened at 11:00. We were seated promptly and we're waited on by a fantastic young woman by the name of Hannah. The restaurant was decorated nicely. Everything we ordered was cooked properly and delicious. We kept Hannah running the whole time with requests for sauces, drinks etc. she always had a smile and remembered everything. This experience was so much different than the juicy in Montgomery where the service was horrid, the food overcooked and they automatically added a 15% gratuity. I put a 1 star only because I couldn't mark a negative star. First it started with an empty restaurant with maybe 10 people in the restaurant with no servers to seat us. We stood in the restaurant for a 5-10 min the phone was ringing off the hook and yet still no one answering the phone. The phone was in the lobby so we answered it. We finally are seated and sat for 14 min before a waitress came to get our drink order. The manager came over to our table we had 2 children with us and attempted to scolded us and was very rude.
