Picnic tables, palms, and ceiling fans make up the covered patio. Step inside and you are greeted by the daily specials board. It's a 'Seat Yourself' establishment. They have booths, tables with chairs and seating at the counter. It's nicer than the typical diner. I was greeted quickly by a nice young man who provided me with a menu and flatware. He took my drink order and returned promptly with my liquid refreshment and a basket of fried cornbread. I was later offered seconds of the cornbread but I declined. I wanted to save room for the best fried chicken livers in Dothan. A few minutes later the waitress stopped by. Her name is Reagan (like the President, she told me) and she is just the most adorable young lady. When I mentioned that I was new in town and this was my first time dining here, she seemed to get excited. I mentioned the Dothan Facebook page references to The Blue Plate having the best chicken livers in town and she was beaming with pride. She was such a joy to have as a server! Chinese items, chicken wings, subs, fries, etc. To be honest, I almost left but decided to order. Staff was very friendly, polite and eager to answer my questions. Inside was clean, tables and floors, fountain area too. I ordered the wings, shrimp fried rice and egg roll combo. Yes, I said combo, I know crazy!! Wings had great flavor BUT were extremely dry, I assume from being warmed too long.
