This is the original Things and Wings that has been in Dothan since 1992 with its wings, chicken fingers, and variety of burgers. Over these years, I have had mostly positive memories of Things and Wings and I am writing this review based on this one visit. I started off with Red Diamond Sweet Tea, but something about the tea tasted off. I ordered Monster Wing dinner. Yeah for Things and Wings including sides with their wing meals and not charging you for sides with the wings. There are so many sauces so I asked the waitress if I could sample 2 of them. She came through for me in a big way. She brought me very small slivers of chicken fingers with the sauces. I think the chicken fingers were the best of all! I chose the 2 sauces that I sampled (Miami Mojito and Bahama Mama), Teriyaki BBQ, and Carolina BBQ. The Bahama Mama was my favorite out of the bunch. It was exactly like Caribbean Jerk at Buffalo Wild Wings. The Miami Mojito was like a sweet and sour sauce. Carolina BBQ was a mustard BBQ sauce. Teriyaki BBQ is self-explanatory. So Things and Wings called this meal their Monster. I am thinking they are describing the number of wings you get with the meal because the size of some of the wings were pitifully small. I chose mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans. I enjoyed both sides but nothing special. On Monday night after 4pm, there is an All You Can Eat Special. Lots of sauces and choices at Things and Wings. The size of the wings were disappointing so I will go with chicken fingers next time. read more

Great service, wings are a perfect crisp on the outside never slimy skin! 25 cent wings on Fridays. They also have burgers that are great. There fried mushrooms are fantastic as is the pickles. Inside a little run down but clean. Beats wild wings any day. Also have beer. read more

We've been coming here for 20++ years. Love the Nobos with medium sauce! About every 2 weeks, have to have some Things & Wings! We had a little event a while back with dreadful service and started going to the west side store. Came back to south side store tonight and it was great! Service was top notch and Nobos were excellent. read more

First, we say down and waited over 20 minutes until being asked about a drink,etc. Servers were standing around talking. We finally decided to flag one down. Then it was,"whoever had table 12 they've been sitting here for an awfully long time!" At which point I asked, "if you've noticed us being here for a very long time, why didn't you say something earlier? " Secondly, the burgers were awesome, the service was terrible. Asking for a refill while these girls stood around talking to customers was apparently too much to ask for. I know I asked 2 times while they were standing around talking. I usually enjoy this restaurant, but today I had the worst experience. They got my order wrong and my wife's order wrong. It took half an hour to get our food another half hour to fix the problem and another half hour to bring us her drink and another half hour to collect the check after it was given to us. The service was absolutely atrocious. Nobody acted as if they cared about us at all. One lady actually refused to help us, insisting it was the waitress assigned to the table's responsibility. I'm leaving 2 stars here for past experience and the fact that they did at least try to make it up to us by taking some items off the ticket. Mountain Dew was good. read more

Food was good, that we enjoyed. I have had good experiences here in the past but it took 46 minutes for the food to reach our table. I know this because I started a timer after our order was taken because I was curious. I stopped the timer when I receive my food, but my wife's order had to be corrected and returned after another five minutes or so. Darlene did remove a charge for my sweet tea and provided a complimentary salad, but it is sad to say that we will not be back here again. read more

The service at this location may be hit or miss but the real struggle is having to choose between the wings, the burgers, and the nobos. The boneless wings are good but I never order them because I'm hooked on the Southwestern Ranch Chicken Wrap. Forget the fries and get the corn nuggets. read more

It was okay. Prices good. Wings were good. But I asked for Peach heat sauce and our server said they were out but the table next to us ordered and got it. The bathroom was disgusting. Walls dirty. Corner crud and floors not clean. Food under tables. Dried Sauce was on wall in booth. Napkin holder gross in bottom. Staff was very nice. I love their boneless wings and all you can eat specials, but the price has consistently gone up over the years.

I usually visit the Southside location two or three times a month, with the same people in my group. They are always slow, but we come back because it is convenient and they usually have decent prices. Friday night was horrible. Not only did we have to deal with the slow pace of the server, we had to deal with the attitudes of the employees as well. One of my friends had taken his daughter to the restroom and when they came back, he was waiting on her to climb into the booth when one of the servers told my friend that he needed to move since she had the food and he would be mad if she dropped it. She didn't laugh, so we weren't entirely sure if she was being serious or just had dry humor. We all ordered hot wings. (There were five of us in the group, including one child.) We all ran out of tea twice before she refilled our glasses. When it came time for the ticket, she just brought our bill on one check without asking. No big deal. She brought back two small takeout boxes when two large ones were clearly needed. She brought back a large one after we requested one. No big deal. I can deal with all of that. It wasn't a great experience, but I can handle that. She brought back the two checks and asked who had a certain card. There was only one male in our group and he obviously had the card with the male name on it (and no, his name isn't one that goes for females and males). She informed him that she tried to swipe his card on three different machines and it would not take. She told us that she could not manually enter the card number. We informed her that we had been in two weeks prior with no complications. She said that due to credit card fraud, his card could not be entered manually. He informed her that he would not be back because he had never had trouble with his card before. She then brought the manager over there who repeated what the server had said. The manager told him to get a new card. He informed her that he was just issued that card in August and that we had been to this restaurant several times with no issues. The manager then raised her voice, and as she walked away from us (we were still seated), shouted, "Well, I'm just sayin'!" We told her that someone had to either enter his card manually the last few times that we were there or his card worked. I asked the manager if they had received new machines or if this was a new policy. She said no to both. The server and the manager were extremely rude and acted like it was our fault that his card would not swipe. Like most people, including myself, he doesn't carry cash. I paid the both checks before the manager came over. She never offered an apology or any professionalism. She instead gave us anger and rudeness. Our two to three trips a month may not be missed, and that is okay, but I will feel so much better knowing that I can eat wings almost anywhere in Dothan and not have to put up with the slowness of the service, or the rudeness of the employees and manager. I can deal with a lot, as I have worked directly with the public involving money, but I WILL NOT put up with a manager acting like that. You never yell at your paying customers and walk away from them, while shouting rude and unprofessional comments. The entire restaurant heard her because the entire restaurant looked over at us. She made herself feel important and it only cost her four adults (and a child) eating here two to three times a month. read more
