Me and my famoly were seated and then we were asked to leave. We didn't even get to order anything. They brought us menu's and then the next thing I know the security was asking us to leave because they said they could not serve us any food. This was a terrible experience for me and my family . Worst experience from a restaurant in a long time. Ordered the All-You-Can- Eat (Remember, there are only three options to choose from). After we placed our initial choice, we are then informed that they are OUT OF 2/3 options with no option to cancel or order something different. Second, while wondering what's taking so long for the food to arrive, we look over and our waitress is sitting in a booth on her phone FaceTiming. The employees are rude especially the tall , thin hair sick back gentleman who smacks his lips every time something is said to him. The wait, ridiculous. Just to be sat. Whoever is in the kitchen, doing their thing. That's the only thing worth mentioning that's positive. The manager is too busy being friends with his employees that he doesn't see when a complaint is given. You correct not ignore it. Windows dirty. Tables dirty. The air conditioning worked. That is about the best thing I can say about our visit there today. Our waiter, Scott seemed out of his depth and it took a while til he took our order. The wait for our food seemed to take longer than it should have and when it arrived, my salad, no tomatoes had tomatoes on it. The waiter took it back to the kitchen for a replacement. While we waited for my salad, we noted that my husband's fries were "old". The plate must have sat in the pass for quite a while. Also, my husband's chicken sandwich that was ordered minus lettuce, came with absolutely nothing on it! It should have had tomatoes and cheese at least. When my salad got back to the table it was actually good. Not much cheese on it but everything else good. Scott abandoned us for the next little while as my husband's drink sat empty. When he finally came back to our table, he asked us if we wanted dessert, not even noticing the empty glass, so my husband asked for a refill. We got the refill as well as the final bill. Then we waited and waited and waited for him to take our payment. He never came.... I went to the host to ask if he could check us out but he couldn't, so I went to the bar to see if the bartender could check us out....no, she couldn't but she went to find Scott. Needless to say, Scott got no tip and we left very unhappy. Avoid, avoid, avoid this Applebees. read more

What I don't understand is why the drinks menu has almost no prices available. Every time we asked for the price about the margaritas, they acted like it was a major inconvenience and had to ask the bar every time. Nevertheless the Valentines drink were good, very weak but sweet. The food came quickly and was fresh, the perfect late night drink food. Got the wonton nachos the night before, but those were not good at all. Would recommend the sampler for a taste of all the appetizers in addition to the pecan skillet cookie w ice cream (not pictured). Service was not the most attentive, but average. read more

My Sister and I went to have lunch . We ordered the 2 for $25 we both got the burger spinach dip . Burgers came out just like we ordered the waitress ask if we would like Mayo and mustard we said yes . Food came we got one package each of Mayo and mustard my sister told the waitress she would need more Mayo to which the waitress said I'll have to see if I can bring more out because we are running low on the Mayo!!!! By the way she was also the bartender. Well she did good she brought out more mayo packets which I told her the one was fine with me . It was a good experience this visit. This was the one that started the chain restaurant revolution in Dothan. Now though, it is usually an afterthought compared to other similar chain restaurants for me. That doesn't mean it isn't enjoyable though. My favorite items are the burgers as they are a fresh-made ground patty. Those are the most consistent and safe. Other items on the menu for me is hit or miss as well as the service has been at times for me in the past. I hope when you go, you win the roulette of the good day in the neighborhood. read more

I am normally not a fan of chain restaurants. And would usually not have eaten here. However, it was close to my hotel so I chose to go. The food is typically chain restaurant food. But the service was great. Especially Dave at the bar. I came my first evening here because it was literally in my hotel parking lot but was not expecting much. Typically when working out of town I rarely go yo a restaurant more than once. However, the second time I went in Dave (the bartender) recognized me and knew what I wanted. I come here ever so often and every time I come, I am very disappointed. The food is always luke warm even though it takes four years for our food to even come out. Not only that but the past two times I've came, which was with two different parties we have been told that a drink we don't like, can't be taken off the check so we will just have to pay for it or the server says that it'll come out of her pocket.. I work in the restaurant business and have for years now, even as a manager and the "abc" board doesn't say anything about this or all other restaurants in Dothan would have to abide by the rules or they would " lose their liquor license" as the manager had stated to me. Very typical chain restaurant. Servers are great and personable. But the food disappoints every time!!!!! I have tried this Applebee's many many time since we moved here last summer, in hopes that it was just an off day for the cook. Tonight was the last time we will try this Applebee's. Steak was sent back 2 times and still was cooked wrong. The potatoes with the bourbon street chicken tasted like the were cooked, then sat for 3 hours, warmed up again and served to me. Ugh very disgusting. Ended up giving up and getting a doggie bag (our dog very much gives 5 stars) On the bright side my kids enjoyed their food, even Applebee's can't mess up a corn dog and a cheeseburger. read more

We arrived at 1:30 on a Saturday. It wasn't very busy. The white bar area seating was open. They asked if we would like to sit there so we agreed. Realized after sitting there it wasn't the best for our kids and wanted to move to the other side that had half of a booth. The order arrived via delivery and like most of the service deliveries I received doing my three weeks stay in Dothan, no one wore a mask, during the height of this resurgence of the pandemic. Last Night I was sitting at the Bar trying to enjoy the night. I appreciated the customer service from the Bartender David whom Always treats me kindly. However I had to hear and witness Andrea coming out of the Kitchen and treating yelling at other customer. I over heard the group say they All just got off work. I believe they too are servers, and needed to relax and enjoy their drinks. That woman(Andrea) mad such an unnecessary HUGE seen. The look on that bartenders face and the groups face broke my heart to be honest. That woman should be suspended without pay for awhile. You don't treat paying nice hard working customers that way, NOPE! I almost myself said some thing to her, however it would not have done any good nor help the situation. The Bartender deserves a raise and that group that got treated like Crap like they were nothing, deserve comps "Big Time"!! read more

I. Hate. Applebee's. I have ever since I was a child. I have never had good or even edible food from any location that I have ever gone to. That was until I went to this particular location. Came here out of convenience because it was walking distance from our hotel. My son and I did the 2/$29 deal. We ordered starter Caesar salads, he had the chicken Parmesan and I had the bourbon chicken and shrimp with garlic mashed potatoes. My food came out sizzling on the plate. The chicken was excellent, it was hot and had plenty of flavor. The shrimp had a garlic sauce on them and they were hot too. My mashed potatoes were cold, but still tasted great. My only worry is that they were not reheated to the right temperature so I hope I don't end up getting sick. My son enjoyed his meal too although he said the bread stick wasn't that great. I loved my meal and I think it will be my "go-to" meal at Applebee's. The hostess was a little slow, looked tired, and never smiled, but our waitress was friendly and did a good job. This is the second Applebees that I had the chance to eat at when I traveled to this town. I really liked the menu and the service. Food was good and the drinks were excellent. So went to this location last night after leaving the Ozark location before even being seated. 20 some odd minutes to get a table (no harm no foul this is Friday night in Dothan) took a total of 53 minutes from being seated to get the meal during that time the waitress came to the table once to get the order and once to deliver the drinks, we did catch her nearby at one point and called out to her for a refill. Daughter's steak was overcooked my shrimp was borderline of being undercooked. The waitress acted as if any request was a inconvenience and her tip reflected as much. My family eats out pretty much every Friday or Saturday evening and typically tip 20-25% of the bill AT MINIMUM tonight has reminded me why we are generally found at Chili's for these weekly meals. Applebee's won't survive much longer in this area if something drastic doesn't change. read more
