If I could give a negative star I would. Before I begin I understand that Tuesdays are very busy due to the $10 casa margs and $20 crab legs. Let me just say this it is $24 not $20 so it'll be $24 plus tax just be mindful of that. I ordered the crab legs, my best friend ordered the endless shrimp and my home girls ordered lobster pasta and shared crab legs. We waited an hour and 30 to be seated. Then waited ANOTHER hour and 30 to be served our first drink and food. The waiter energy was not it at all, she's probably tired but she was very hostile from the moment she got to us. We ordered another drink and had to cancel because we were waiting so long. Also for the unlimited shrimp the server told my friend she only order one at a time but the lady next to us kept giving her friends however much shrimp they requested I don't understand. She served another party of two next to us but they seem to be her friend because she sat down as she took there order. They received two drinks BEFORE our second drink as well as their food which was unbelievable because we waited HOURS for ours. Our server name is Deandra btw. We didn't even get our second drink because she insisted we cancel rather than make something happen. Talking about the bar is backed up but everyone next to us were receiving their drinks no problem. Then it was a party of 6-9 people on the right side of us that snuck in by their friend that works there. I don't know her name but she was short, lightskin, long curly wig with long lashes that can fly her away. They received multiple drinks and food before we could get our food or second drink which was not fair at alllll. Another coworker with box braids knew them as well. So it was like a two for one special. That was literally the most terrible experience I ever had and the server thought she was gone get a tip. HA ! think again girl. Attitude was NASTY the moment she got to the table, barely gave us a chance to speak because she was speaking too damn fast. read more

They don't take reservations. Be prepared to wait about 2 hrs (more or less). It's ALWAYS packed and people are constantly spilling out the door. I decided to order takeout online last night. BAD IDEA. The food was scheduled to be ready at 8 PM. My boyfriend was finally given the food at 11:15 PM (yes, they were closed by this point). There were so many upset people waiting for their food. A fight almost broke out. We would have left if the food wasn't already paid for. This is horrible service and you ruined my Sunday dinner! I had the salmon the following day for lunch and ended up getting food poisoning. I suffered and couldn't hold anything down until the following day. I'm so disappointed in this location. Compared to red lobster in California, where the seafood tastes fresh, this was an oily, heart attack waiting to happen, unnecessary mess! read more

This Red Lobster is located at the Gateway Center and is a good option for those looking to eat seafood, steak, pasta, and/or all of the above. This spot is quite spacious and clean (excluding the bathrooms - be courteous, please clean up after yourselves and flush the toilet)! We arrived as a party of three and was told that there would be a 30- to 35-minute wait. We were also told that we would be receiving a text message once our table was ready. However, the phone service at this location is poor and we did not receive a text message for half an hour. After checking with the front desk staff, we were told that our table was no longer available as there is a 10-minute grace period before tables are offered to following customers. We noticed that this was not an uncommon issue that customers were having. That said, the staff handled the situation very professionally and we were seated within minutes. For starters, we ordered the Seafood-Stuffed Mushrooms, Parrot Isle Coconut Shrimp, and New England Clam Chowder. For our main course, we ordered a customizable Ultimate Feast including Maine Lobster Tail, 7-oz Sirloin, Shrimp Linguini Alfredo, and Garlic Shrimp Scampi, as well as two sides of mashed potatoes and cole slaw. We also ordered a side of brussels sprouts. The cheddar bay biscuits were nice and warm. They were a tad on the saltier side but still tasty with hints of cheesy and garlicky goodness. The New England Clam Chowder was good but nothing special and the Seafood-Stuffed Mushrooms were also good but not worth the price. We were hoping there would be more seafood in the stuffing. The Parrot Isle Coconut Shrimp was served with a piña colada sauce and it was crispy and sweet with a hint of pineapple. The Ultimate Feast was worth the price since we were able to choose what we wanted and it was what ultimately filled us up. The Maine Lobster Tail was tasty and the 7-oz Sirloin was cooked perfectly to medium where the center is pink but not very bloody. The Shrimp Linguini Alfredo was creamy and delicious and the Garlic Shrimp Scampi was also very good and flavorful. The mashed potatoes and cole slaw were good too. We were pleasantly surprised by the brussels sprouts, which were crispy and savory. Service was good as our server came by multiple times to ask if we needed anything. read more

Today at Red Lobster my experience was HORRIBLE, DISGUSTING, DISRESPECTFUL and indefinitely down right wrong. The waiter took MORE than enough time just taking my order and when he did it took OVER 40 minutes for my food to come, just for it to be DROPPED on the floor, the idiot waiter dropped my food and watched it and instead of picking it up, HE LEFT IT THERE just waiting for someone else to pick it up. This establishment needs proper training and leadership when it comes to time management and just learning how to not fall with food in your hand. I will never be coming here EVER again, just remember you'll be hearing from my LAWYERS.PS. the ambiance was very awkward couldn't even make tiny small talk and barely did his job correctly. The scenery in this establishment was very outdated i felt completely abandoned like a crab out of its shell. NEVER AGAIN. read more

I went to red lobster and ordered the endless shrimp special. The waiter kept avoiding my table to bring my next round shrimps. So it wasn't actually endless shrimps because all I had was one small order of shrimps. And the fried ones was so greasy. Would never go back there again on sunrise Highway . They also had so many tables empty but was sitting guest every 30- 40 mins . read more

On this most recent visit to red lobster (March 2018), Service not the best. No water and biscuits came out late and you know people love dem cheddar biscuits! We were seated near the to go section and there was a draft. I have been at establishments who are mindful of this and you can see they put engineering controls in place to mitigate so no excuses for Red Lobster. Apparently we had a new server but no one taught him about customer service (believe his name was Eric). Now onto the rest of the experience, ordered appetizers that didn't come out in orderly time. Server said oo the manager brought them out but you clearly don't see it on the table so how you figure they came out?? Kendra was nice and redeeming factor. I believe she was the manager or assistant manager. Red lobster not in NY are better. First time eating at red lobster. The restaurant was packed and we waited for about 30 mins or so. Our waiter Brianna was very sweet and we got all of our order in a timely manner. I feel that when your eating seafood, it should not be mixed with fruity alcoholic beverages, because it was definitely not settling well. The biscuits were soft, buttery and melted in your mouth instantly. The Parrot Isle Jumbo Coconut Shrimp were good and dipped in signature piña colada sauce made this dish delicious. I ordered the Seaside Shrimp Trio. The portion size was average. Hand-crafted garlic shrimp scampi and creamy shrimp linguini Alfred were good but my mashed potatoes felt like it was missing something. read more

Took my dad to lunch because he has never been here. The wait was about 15 minutes. Even though it was crowded it wasn't so bad. Our server Tabatha was great. She was very attentive even though she was extremely busy. She made us feel like she really cared about our enjoyment The food was pretty good. I had the crab and shrimp seafood bake. Didn't really wow me but it was good. I also had a enormous lobsterita. As always the bisquits were absolutely delicious. I would come come again to try the other dishes. read more

After a few hours of shopping, starving like a hungry kid, we decided to eat at a restaurant nearby. We went to Red Lobster and the line was completely insane, so was the line at the other restaurant. The line was so long that you had to put your name down and they gave you a buzzer. Luckily, we bumped into someone very nice who gave us their buzzer and name and we got seated in a very short time. Me and my baby had the: Bar Harbor Lobster Bake A roasted split Maine lobster tail, tender shrimp, sea scallops, mussels and linguini in a garlic and white wine broth. This was delicious, the seafood was fresh and the portions are pretty big. My girl had the: Spicy Habanero Coconut Shrimp Bites and Sweet Citrus-Grilled Shrimp, this is a special which included soup, salad, entree and dessert for all less than $20, what a deal. This was not bad. The service was decent, we got our food pretty fast and the lady was quite attentive. I would not go here on a weekend, we just got lucky. The lines are insane but there ain't much nearby, you would need to drive somewhere far away. read more

I visited this establishment this past Thursday the 16th , i was with a party of of 12, the manager on duty was exceptional!!!! He was assertive and he gave us a time and sat us sooner , mo other resturant in gateway wanted to sit us . Unfortunately i wasn't about to get his name but he was GREAT ! .. the food took an extended amount of time which is understandable due to short staff and Covid .. GAIL was our waitress she was awesome ! The food was good the 1st order of biscuits were cold and Gail immediately replaced them with a fresh hot order, myself and my family were pleased . I think They are operating well under the circumstances i would definitely recommend dining here If it's up to standard for your taste palette. read more

Mothers Day Scam My family ordered here for Mother's Day. The service was horrible. They confirmed our order was delivered and nothing was sent to my home. I will add that they used EZ Caterer as a vendor to deliver and we could not reach Red Lobster nor EZ Caterer. We waisted over $200 for a meal we thought we would get for our family and have no idea how to recoup it with a company that has poor customer service. read more

Gateway drive Brooklyn NY. Tuesday 7/21/2020 Ordered delivery.... half of my order was not delivered. I tried calling the store 5 times and each time someone picked up the phone and then hung up immediately. I've also called door dash because they were the ones that delivered the order.... door dash stated that they would have the items redelivered and then an hour after door dash cancelled the redelivery. I proceeded to call door dash and was told I needed to call red lobster... I called red lobster several times between 8:28pm and 8:45pm and each time they hung up on me. This is truly one of the worst experiences I've had with red lobster. I would recommend going to the store and picking up your order because if it is messed up you are never getting anyone on the phone to make it right. Horrible service!!! read more

When you order your food they give you a time to come pick up. Our time was 804. When we got there there was a long line outside and the gentleman at the door informed us that this line was for pick up. We waited outside for approximately 30 minutes just to come in and wait another 20 minutes until somebody actually found the food. They are extremely busy and I have to say that the employees were very kind, but I think that they may need more people working at once. Not sure how long our order was sitting around in a bag because everything was cold and soggy. Maybe some other locations are better for "to go" but I wouldn't do that again. read more

Update: 4/1: another terrible experience here. Ordered for takeout online at 4:05 arrived 4:45. There was a line where a bunch of overly aggressive men decided they wouldn't wait or wear anything protective. I waited 15 min for the line to not move. When the women ahead of me went to speak to the manager about the ppl coming in and skipping the line she got super rude stating she'd close the line and everybody would have to wait outside. My food was ready for 430 and I'm so glad i didn't pay ahead. I called after to tell thEm i was no longer interested to an unapologetic employee. Now they are down to 1 star. At this point this location just needs to close. I don't expect fine dining when i come to red lobster, it's more like a guilty pleasure. One of the first restaurants i was able to go to by myself as a youngin in NYC. Its familiar and a great bargain. I've been here more than i can remember, my experiences ranging from amazing to ehhh...however tonight was the absolute worst. We arrived January 23 at 730. I had placed my name on the list before we arrived. The place was crowded for a Thursday night but our wait time wasn't bad. We were quoted 15-20 and waited about 25. We sat in a table for 2 in an isolated part of the restaurant right behind the take out door. I was over it but didn't want to complain. Several tables were empty with food piling up and no server or gusset in sight making an attempt to clean. Our table looked like they did a quick clean and rushed out of there. The take out door was loud and would sometimes remain open leaving the section closed. Customers got up to close it several times. The server was Keisha. She seemed pretty young and green. I gave her the benefit of the doubt sooo many times although my bf was so over it. We both work in hospitality. She took our order but never brought water. I had to ask for utensils, and call her attention several times for basic service points, but still i gave her the benefit of the doubt. Mind you, the empty tables were still dirty while we were eating our entrees! I asked her for tartar sauce for my shrimp and she never returned. About 20 min passed and i was done so asked for everything to go including my tartar sauce since i couldn't eat my shrimp without it. My bfs meal came with a dessert. I confirmed this with Keisha, and ordered the chocolate cake. Then told her we wanted to place to go orders. Keisha disappears again. At this point we have been here for 2.5 hours and just want to go! She comes back with the dessert in a to go box without the ice cream! Never asked for my dessert as take out. She forgets our to go biscuits again. Cool. We look on the device for our bill and i see we are charged for our dessert. When She appears again i ask her about it and she seems confused. I told her we confirmed with you that his entree comes with a dessert, she says yes it comes with a small brownie. Well why didn't you say that when i asked you before? I explain to her that we wouldn't have ordered knowing that. She says she will get the manager....at this point we don't even want to order anything to go anymore, we just want to get out of thwre She returns...with no manager??? She comes to the table and says...ok what's going on now?!?! I'm so annoyed i just ask for the manager. When the manager comes to the section I'm sure he is flabbergasted by how messy it is because he starts bussing tables! Then he walks over to talk to the wrong table. When he realizes it is me, he asks what happened. I honestly don't even think he heard what i said, he just offered to take the cake off the bill. I accept that and pay using the device, left her a tip despite my bfs saying i shouldn't. While walking out with our 4 to go containers sans bag or biscuits, Keisha appears and ask...did you guys pay?! Lmfaooooo Keisha if we wanted to dine and dash please know we had ample opportunity during your numerous disappearances. I was so disgusted by the final interaction i felt like an idiot for giving her chances and a tip. Hopefully they'll make this a learning opportunity in customer service! read more

I am only giving 1 star because the manager did attempt to rectify the situation. Waited an hour and a half in the cold to be seated (did not really have a problem with this due to covid I understand) Got seated, everything started out fine. We order and got our food quickly. It all tasted like it just came out the freezer and cold. Then as we're eating a roach crawled from somewhere on my friend's side of the booth, I was done. I will never eat at this establishment again and I would suggest you do the same. read more

If I could give less than one star I would. Two friends of mine and I were coming to dine after a long day. We are middle eastern women with head coverings. First we waited for about 45 minutes to be seated when more than half the store was empty. A black three person table walked in after us and was seated before us. (First strike of racim) We are seated and our waiter comes to take our order. We order appetizers and soups and meals all at once. 25 minutes later he comes out with our soups, that were incorrect to begin with. Another 10 minutes go by and we get the right order of soups. And I'm notified that they don't have the soda for my drink and they'll make an exception for the smoothie we ordered. The smoothie bought out is in a plastic cup, messy and with no straw. After that we wait about another 35 minutes only for him to bring out 1 out of 3 entrees, cold and not even edible. As far as I know, all entrees are supposed to come out together as well as it should be no be cold. We were told we'd get another round of biscuits as the table was empty and we never even got those. I asked for another water, nothing. Note that the table behind us, seated after us, also was tended to and got everything way before we even got our appetizers. (2nd strike) After waiting for about an hour for the two other meals and sending the first one back to be heated up, one plate was cold and the other was missing a side so another side item. was added. Not even wanting to eat anymore we ate what we could and asked to have it wrapped to-go. The waiter comes back puts 3 small to-go boxes down and walks away before we even say anything. We were just baffled thus far and didn't imagine we had to wrap our own food in these tiny little boxes. So we asked for one more. Wrapped up our food, paid on the little tablet they left on the table and left. The food was not even worth it and the whole experience was absolutely horrible. Never really had an experience this bad. It seems that everyone dining as well as working at this location was black and as for being the only 3 middle eastern females in the place, we were targeted. It is completely and utterly unacceptable to be treated this way and have such terrible service. Legal action should and definitely be taken and this service should not be tolerated. Beyond disappointed and truly disgusted. read more

I dont know why I came here. While shopping in Target my son kept asking me for something to eat so unfortunately we chose here. Wow. So they ran out of lobster! I don't think someone in management got the memo- how do you prepare for a huge weekend crowd without the crustacean that's IN THE TITLE OF THE DANG RESTAURANT?? The wait time is always long at Gateway's location because the waiters/waitresses do not tend to their tables fast enough, leading to longer times at tables and less available seats. My boyfriend and I just wanted to stop by for a quick lunch and we got cabin fever from being at this Red Lobster for over 2 hours waiting for a seat and then our meal. The drinks are decent but once you sit down get ready to wait endlessly for lobster they never have. Good luck with this crabby spot! Thumbs down! read more

I've been trying to wait to give Red Lobster an opportunity to redeem themselves or to rectify the situation, but as it stands, none of this is feasible. In an attempt to provide some normalcy to my family, I decided to order a Red Lobster family meal on April 1st. I ordered directly from their site, and my order came to $151.23. My food was to come an hour to an hour and a half after being placed. I received a text message from door dash, who would be handling the delivery, that my order was cancelled as the restaurant was closed. I also received an email from Red Lobster saying they cancelled the order. I thought nothing of it and went to place an alternate order somewhere else. When I saw my money wasn't put back on my card, I contacted my bank and reversed the charges. April 2nd I woke up and the charges were back on my card. When I contacted my bank, they advised me to contact the store to find out why I was recharged and told me a dispute would have to be filed. I called this store repeatedly on the 2nd, as well as emailing the contact center (I called several times but their call center is closed due to covid-19). I finally got in touch with the manager, Eli Lucien, who told me to email him the screenshots of my order and he would look into it. I gave it a few days and attempted to call back because I still had not received a call back or a refund. After I received no answer calling multiple times a day, and in addition to my dispute from my bank, I contacted the Better Business Bureau. I finally received correspondence from Red Lobster's customer relations 2 weeks later informing me that a manager would be calling me by April 17th. I never received the call back by the date, but on April 18th, Eli Lucien called me. He apologized for the inconvenience and said he would process my refund and in addition to my troubles, customer relations would be sending me a $75 gift card to the restaurant. He called me back again and kept me on the phone because he said he wanted to process the refund while I was on the phone. He had me confirm the last 4 of my card number so I assumed everything was ok. On Tuesday, April 21st, I received a gift card from customer relations, but it was for $150. I thought maybe they felt extremely bad for the situation, but I was still awaiting my refund. I even contacted my bank to detail the correspondence between the manager and I to see why the refund was so delayed. The Better Business Bureau contacted me stating Red Lobster reported that I accepted a gift card for $150 in the place of my refund. I, as well as my children, are immunocompromised, and a gift card can only be physically used in the restaurant, so this just added insult to injury. Not to mention this whole situation leaving a bad taste in my mouth and me being very leery of ever doing any kind of business with Red Lobster. I feel completely helpless in this situation that during a time like this, they'd be so crooked when they're entirely at fault. read more

So I went here with a friend after a long trip returning home from Paris. We were both so hungry so we decided to stop by since it was so close and it was a tossup between this and the other restaurants in that complex. So when we arrive we ended up waiting no more than about three or four minutes to be seated. We were seated and then we just decided to order drinks which came in a very decent time. Our host her name was Patty and she was really nice. We gave her a very nice tip as well because she was an extremely good person and knowledgeable about the menu. Our food came and it taste amazing. My food was cooked to the perfect temperature that I ask for. However, my friend realized and pointed out a very small cockroach that was crawling along the side of the booth. I was able to quickly grab it and crush it and wrap it up in a bunch of napkins along with the tray that they usually give you the breading. Which was still on the table. I reported it to the manager and he thanked me for bringing the problem to his attention and he also compensated by making one of the meals free. So to wrap this all up, The food was awesome, the drinks were awesome, and the service was great. However that bug situation needs to be looked at immediately by staff and personnel because once you see one cockroach usually there are many not far behind and can be a definite health issue. Outside of that I had a pretty decent dining experience. read more
