Came to Applebee's hoping to try the Wicked drink, but unfortunately this restaurant wasn't participating. Still the food was surprisingly decent! Since the tables were full, we sat at the bar. BELIEVE THE REVIEWS. This was definitely the worst, Applebee's I've ever been to. The restaurant was busy, and there seemed to be lots of confusion. I ordered take out for 6pm pickup. I got there about 6:15pm. I was thinking by the time I get there my food would be ready, being I went fifteen minutes AFTER my pickup time. I was WRONG. I didn't receive my order until 6:58pm. On top of the long wait, I was missing my appetizer. I didn't know until I got home as the take out bags were sealed. I totally understand it was busy, however there were plenty of workers on the floor. Like most Applebee's it's spacious, with ample seating . The service was nice. The people in there was nice I could give that that's all I could give the food disgusting. I'm mad that I paid too much for nasty food, even though my bill was probably like $30 because we had to take half the food back because it was nasty. I don't know if they got their food out of the refrigerator. I just know it's not fresh they made quesadillas taste nasty. I don't know how you can mess up quesadillas. It's quite spacious. Food took way too long. But other than that, food was decent. Steak isn't worth the price. But the 2 for $25 was pretty worth it. There are no codes for the bathroom and they're clean. Unfortunately they're binary and not even single stall. We used to go to the Applebee's in Bay Terrace which unfortunately has since closed. I believe the food at Applebee's has improved over the years. Today, my wife and I had the $12.99 lunch special at Applebee's in Fresh Meadows. She ordered the Broccoli Chicken Alfredo, and I ordered the Three-Cheese Chicken Penne, both with accompanying Oriental Chicken Salad and complimentary soda. It was delicious. As we couldn't finish everything, we needed containers to take food home. The restaurant was very clean, and the service was excellent. If you're a senior, remember to ask for your senior discount. I had a very disappointing experience with the service at this location. The manager was extremely unprofessional and dismissive when I tried to address an issue with my order. Instead of helping resolve the problem, they seemed annoyed and uninterested in listening to the customer. The service overall was very poor. Staff members appeared disorganized and the wait time was much longer than expected. When the order finally arrived, it was incorrect, and the way the situation was handled made the experience even worse. Customer service should be a priority, especially from management, but that was clearly not the case here. I hope the business takes steps to improve how customers are treated because this was not a pleasant experience at all. read more

When Applebees announced their "ALL YOU CAN EAT" I was excited because who doesn't like a all you can, but is it really all you can eat? The manger at this Applebee's was very unpleasant, we went in to get food around 8:30 and we were aware that it was happy hour but our food took over an hour, we asked our servers several times and he kept saying 10 minutes over and over, the manager was ignoring our server after he asked him multiple times about the food and after it reached an hour we decided to just cancel whatever food didn't come and pay for the others, the manger came up to our table and the food was magically done and he said he would bring it but it took almost 20 minutes for our food that was "done" to come, he is a horrible manger and does not know how to work a proper job and take care of his costumers AND his employees. read more

The staff was pleasant and the place was clean. Our server was attentive and sweet. They had a special Thanksgiving Day meal for $16.99 which included turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing, green beans, a slice of pumpkin pie, and a glass of champagne. Before the meal came out, we had the Spinach and Artichoke Dip. We usually get that when we come here. It's always good. The chips were very greasy, though! For a drink, I had the specialty cocktail called Tipsy Reindeer. Vodka, cranberry juice, passion fruit, and lemon sour. Topped with a Santa gummie. It was so good, huge, and only $6! The food came out really fast. Everything was fresh and delicious. The mashed potatoes were real red potatoes and not the powdery, boxed stuff. Real cranberry sauce. Not the canned nastiness. Fresh green beans. They also brought out the slices of pumpkin pie with the meal. That's when it started to feel like they were rushing us. I mean, I get it. It's Thanksgiving and you want to be home. I don't like pumpkin pie and they had no substitutions so I just took it to go. We were checked on multiple times during our meal, which was nice, but also a bit annoying because I always had food in my mouth when we were asked if "everything is good". All in all, we had a pretty good experience. I would like to come back and try this place out on a non-holiday to see the vibe then. I didn't use the restroom facilities but you need a code to get in. The waitress will give it to you. $60 for a Thanksgiving meal for 2 people with drinks and appetizers is a great deal. read more

Food is meh. But it's Applebee's, our expectations were low. Don't order alcohol here, they don't have any. And finally, the service. There's never a host. There's never a waitor. You'll talk to a few people as your food arrives. At first I thought they were having a bad day. But three times is the minimum for. 3 visits no service. Who eats for an hour and a half? Kept getting told someone was coming. The first time it felt intentional. The second time seemed like incompetence. In school, I was taught 3 times is a pattern. And it very much is in this place. Also had the shrimp tex-mex bowl and it's very tasty; it reminds me of the southwest salad from wendy's but with rice, and the rice is very good. Went to Applebee's to have dinner. The wait for 2 was about 45 minutes which was okay since it was crowded. Once we were seated, our server came took the first half of our order and then must have fallen into a black hole because we sat there for an hour and a half with no food. Our drinks came out but by the time it came out, we were ready to just go. We told the staff and they comped our drinks because apparently our server felt ill and didn't inform anyone. Not related to our order, but we saw a busser fall and drop a mug, which was a little yikes. Thankfully they were okay. All in all, I'm probably not going back. We decided to try Applebee's after a photo session with my family and friends at JC Penny's. Service was a bit slow but the appetizers and entrees were okay. It's not fine dining but good enough to satisfy our hunger. However there was one thing that didn't sit well. After we were done eating, I was perusing the bill. There was an item which I didn't recognize. I asked our waitress what it was. Apparently, it was the item that our young son had ordered from the kid's menu. Our waitress had mistakenly put it in as a regular entree as opposed to the kid's menu version. We asked her if she could fix the bill to account for the difference. She agreed and went to do it. I figured it wouldn't be a big deal given we were a party of 8 and had a pretty substantial bill not to mention purchasing the framed photos that a photographer at the restaurant had taken of us. After awhile, the manager came over and told us they couldn't make the change. His reasoning was that we were supposed to notify them of the mistake at the time the dish was served. That didn't make sense since it was the same dish that my son ordered but in a bigger portion. How were we supposed to know it was a mistake? I questioned his reasoning but he just repeated the same thing over again. He was willing to anger patrons who had spent a good amount at the restaurant over a slight adjustment on an item.
