5/8 Going to Dave & Buster's turned out to the best family gathering ever! My daughter along with her niece and nephew! My grands kids, had a wonderful time and they understood the assignment! Which was to have fun. They were all over the place, winning tickets here and there, the excitement was everlasting! It's a big game room with tons of games and also tones of televisions. Those that didn't play the arcade games, watch the Knicks V 76ers. The service: One a person love what they do, they do it and the shine. O.T was our server. O.T was on point. Before you thought it, he was on it. It's like he has a sixth sense. O.T was very attentive and very engaging with not only my family, but with all of his other customers as well. O T interacted with my family and we loved it and him. I have never gone to a D & B or any other restaurant including CHUCK E CHEESE.. and found such an astounding person first, server second, and last but not the least; employee that fit the job description, rolled it over, flipped it twice, and conquered every aspect of customer service. O T should be employee of the century! The Food: I forget what my daughter had but there were no complaints, my granddaughter had Za, something that ever kid likes. My grandson is sd burger and fries. I should have had that but I opted for the sampler which consisted of pig n blankets, wings, and sliders. Every thing was really tasty but a bit too much for me. I was rescued by my granddaughter, she ate my last two pigs in the blanket. I guess she don't like blankets so she ate the pigs only. My first time at this location it was a fun experience. Alot of activities love the different variety of games for all ages. Decided to get something to eat it was crowded had to wait a couple of minutes. The waiter was nice ordered chicken nachos and chicken potstickers for drinks the spicy hombre margarita and cherry ciroc jelly shots. The food was good the drinks too. Dave and busters for the win! Decided to take my kids for a pre back to school treat. Came in around noon, no one was in the restaurant area. So our orders were taken very quickly, the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Kids had the cheese pizza flatbread and cheeseburger meals and lemonade to wash it down, all tasted fresh. They thoroughly enjoyed their meal. I had the fish and chips meal, came out piping hot and fresh, it as tasty but the fish was a bit too oily for me. Very clean all around, including restrooms. Came on a Tuesday Evening, five of us. There was plenty of seating at this time. The service was very friendly. At first it took awhile for waiter to see us up, it once we got our order in, the food came out one right after another in a perfectly timed order. The food took me alittle back! It was all so delicious! We ordered two unlimited Cards, and entries to share for five. Bone in wings, beef sliders, both had fries, funnel cake sticks, and a quesadilla. The fries were perfect, the burgers looked small but were perfect with everything else. We all just picked away and were filled, all five of us. All of it delicious. Man if you have to wait for something, it helps a lot when the wait is worth it. Then we went off to play games. The unlimited cards for $59.99 each (includes options for discounted entries) gave a hour and a half of play time. Figure between lunch and gaming we spent three hours. We were done! This has to be the worst experience me and my family have had in a long time. This was my first time here. An employee was trying to sell us Jell-O shots before we could order food. When we finally ordered our food, they brought out 2 dishes separately and had us waiting for the rest of the food. We had to ask the manager to bring out the rest of our food and it finally came. They brought the food immediately after talking to the manager so it must've been ready and they were taking too long. We had to ask for our utensils. I had the hot honey boneless chicken with fries. Here for a kids bday party so I sat at the bar to watch the games No Problem, dozens of TV screens Sat for over 45 minutes,...NO ONE greeted me, NO ONE acknowledged me, NO ONE asked if I wanted anything Game ends, 3/4th of those seated leave, I'm still waiting. Our recent visit, major improvements all around. Food menu changes really helped out a lot. The drinks were fantastic, although they actually ran out of red wine but it's all good. The games are still fun, giant crane game gave issues but regardless we still had a good time. Staff were really nice and friendly, big improvement as well. Very fun came with a date. Sat at the bar and waiter was not attentive at first. But he got it together and everything was fine. The food was really good; I had the garlic parmasean truffle fries and the chimichurri bowl with salmon. The salmon piece was tiny and didn't come In a "bowl, " but over all good. I also had the frozè which was good but my date felt the drinks could be a Lil more stronger. I understand them not wanting to over pour because, it is a family establishment. My son & I come here about twice a month (at least) sometimes more. We also eat here. And so far the staff always seems super friendly & helpful. The food is always good & not too pricey. There's a decent amount of games to keep the family occupy for a few hours. The atmosphere is what you'd expect for a Dave N Busters. A decent about of tvs running multiple sports. TWO WORDS: DON'T GO!! This kinda spot is supposed to be gamingly dark and "clubbish" but it's SO dark with millions of kids running around out of control, which would be fine if you could actually see them in front of you before they knock you down. The restaurant section was what earned this place a 0-star rating. Since it was a weekday, we decided to take the kiddos. Lots of parking. Carded at the door for the vaccine cards for all in the party. We decided to eat first and there wasn't any wait. The dining section is very large with large screen TVs to accommodate game watching. We didn't wait long for our waitress and ordered. Prices were typical lunchtime D&B's. All the staff were polite and professional. After eating we went to play, purchasing a game card at a kiosk. Lots of fun, again no large crowds so it was enjoyable. While awaiting the other party guests, we grabbed a quick bite. When your server is more concerned about touching up their makeup than customer service, you're in BIG trouble. I had to flag her down a few times because we never received a glass of water or any updates on our order. When the rest of the meal finally arrived, it was not worth the wait. So let's add this up! Bad service + Poor food/drink quality = Double Disappointment. I hate that gratuity was already included in the bill for a table of two. She did not earn or deserve her $16 tip. Customers always foot the bill, regardless of the services rendered or lack thereof. The only highlight was the party staff who ensured that everyone, primarily the children, had a great experience. I should have ordered with them. They moved swiftly and had the best temperament when interacting with such an energetic group of kids. I had an excellent experience. I was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem, at how clean, organized, and well coordinated everything was. We had a midsize group for a late lunch and the service was outstanding thanks to our server / host Anthony. He told us he was new on the job but was a pro at hospitality. He was very attentive to our group and made the birthday we were celebrating memorable. The food was great, I personally liked the chicken avocado club sandwich. The seating was so comfy I actually forgot I was at a Dave & Busters because it was so high end. It felt like a cool swanky sports lounge with wall to wall screens of every sporting event playing. You can't miss a beat. They even have their in house paparazzi! A nice photographer took photos of our group and we purchased them for our souvenirs of the night. Then it was time to put our game on with all these cool games, some that where old school and tons of fun tech games. My favorite is the pac-man video game table. This place was built too small to accommodate all the businesss in a busy Brooklyn area. Wait times for anything way to long. Its new to the area so maybe as time pass by it will get less busier. Disclaimer: This review is based on the terrible service my family received in the dining area from a thieving server this afternoon. After recharging our Power Card and playing a few games, my wife and I decided to have lunch here after both of our boys mentioned they were hungry. We've eaten at this location several times, so we knew what to expect in regards to the food. After ordering a couple of items off the kid's menu and two adult meals, my wife received a check for $68.00. Clearly perturbed by the amount of the bill (we anticipated something around $50), my wife asked our server to explain the discrepancy. The server feigned ignorance and stated, "this is just what the bill came out to when I put it into the system." Upon further examination, it turns out our bill was actually $54 and the server decided she would help herself to the maximum gratuity without informing us. When my wife asked to speak with a manager, the server decided to gaslight her by claiming "she was being aggressive." After several "attempts" to bring over a manager, the server states the managers are in a meeting and it will be a while before one is available. My wife simply said, "no problem, I'll wait." I guess the server realized the jig was up and asked my wife to pay the $54 amount "since she has other tables to wait." Once a manager finally decided to show, when my wife explained the situation the manager admitted "this has been a problem with several servers at this location." Disbelief doesn't even begin to cover it. Safe to say this young lady didn't receive a single dollar for a tip. It's unimaginable this person can remain employed in this capacity. I wish I'd remembered her name so everyone can be aware of who they're dealing with. I just remember her being a young, slim Black female. Mind you this is the same server who dropped our drinks bringing them to our table, can barely explain the difference in price between drinks off the kid's menu and the regular menu, and brought my pregnant wife's food out 10-15 minutes after bringing the rest of our order to the table (I won't even fault her for this. But now that I think about it it was a manager who rectified the situation) Mind you I missed this entire exchange because I'd taken our boys back onto the game floor and didn't want her to feel pressured to speed eat. She kept things ALOT calmer than I would have. I understand servers depend on tips yet her behavior was beyond reprehensible and dare I say criminal. We weren't a large group where mandatory gratuity applied. It was noon on a weekday. The place barely had any customers. As the saying goes, "your skin folk ain't always your kinfolk." BEWARE!!! FYI: As far as the gaming facility goes, my family and I thoroughly enjoy this location. They need to train these people better, hire better management or just shut this place down.
