So this was my first time at this location. I ordered online for pick up. Using DoorDash to order was fine. I ordered ahead of time when I left work to pick up later. My order was correct and the receipt was stapled to a red canvas bag. The food was ready within the expected time. This was a very cold Friday night.. but I know when I'm in the area this whole block is busy! For a frigid night- there was no crowd yet I waited a verrry long time to get my pick up order which was waiting and ready in the counters. The food was pretty good- the Henny ribs, sticky ribs, chicken & baby back ribs with fries and the angry shrimp were very good! Fill of flavor and juicy. Will definitely order again. The corn bread was good- nothing special. It would be better if they cooked it with some butter to make it more moist. The mac and cheese tasted like boxed mac & cheese. What kind of cheese are they using?? Dehydrated American cheese?!?? There was bacon on top and it didn't matter- worst mac and cheese. I didn't like Batesy's mac and cheese- this makes their taste decent. It needs better cheese, some butter and a little pepper. I think it's also cooked stovetop- use a better mix of real cheese and sprinkle some breadcrumb or bacon and bake it! I won't order the mac ever again. If I go back it will just be for the ribs. I'll give the wings a try. I'll make my own mac and cheese. I'll order fries and 1 corn bread. I don't think I could ever get tired of visiting a Dallas BBQ. The drinks are always going to make a statement. And the huge wings with different sauces. My favorite is the hot wings my second favorite is sticky wings. Don't forget to try their corn bread. You would not be disappointed. Service is always very friendly and straight forward. Was craving some baby-back bbq ribs today and with this heat today ya know we were not gonna heat the house nor stand by the bbq sooooo we gave this place a try ..... Ordered on line easy peezy however for some strange reason, you can't add any additional instructions to your order like for example; We opted for barbecue sauce on the side so I wanted to know what kind of barbecue sauces do they have like sweet or hot ??? Also, we ordered our full rack of ribs X two orders with the baked potato ; wanted to make sure we were gonna get butter and sour cream !!! We also ordered a side order of coleslaw, which by the way, just a heads up it doesn't look nothing like the one that's in the picture on their website a very plain coleslaw but pretty good ... So I had to call the Store and speak with someone to make sure that I We get butter and sour cream for my baked potato and I also asked them what are the choices on the barbecue sauce they told me they only have one BBQ sauce and by the way, if I had to rate the sauce, I would give it one star because it is definitely not a good barbecue sauce. It's not worthy to go on their ribs thank God we asked for it on the side..... Their Ribs were good a nice size for full rack; Definitely a smaller size rib for a baby back; but they were tender and pulled off the bone nicely; like I stated No Sauce & Thank God Cause their sauce is not acceptable and and definitely not worthy to go on those rib !!! Also, as far as our baked potatoes, we really enjoy them however they only gave us one tiny sour cream each definitely not enough for a full baked potato !!! So all all it was a good experience considering that we ordered take out and they delivered our order within 35 minutes just a heads up they use DoorDash We didn't know that until the text message was sent no complaints tho !!! Like I said, the food came fast and hot and it was a $65.00 order plus a $5.00 delivery charge..... I ordered a plain water. Nothing special just a water. But when I was waiting for my said water. It took way to long. Almost 20+ minutes. My grandma also ordered shrimp at the start of our visiting, but it took way too long and didn't show up untill the end of our visit. Not a fan of this Dallas BBQ. The vibe is off compared to the others locations. The lighting was bright, too bright for a BBQ. The seating was weird. I felt crowded and squeezed in, like there was very little privacy. I didn't understand the tvs just showing pics of their food. They were pointless and added to the brightness, Im Thinking maybe this used to be another restaurant The food: So I got the chicken/shrimp combo which is 3 wings and like 5-6 shrimp. My favorite Hennessey wings were good, but the texture was off compared to what I'm used to from BBQs. Note that sauced wings with a combo are $1extra (found that out via the bill) The shrimp were very good. Ordered a side of Mac 'N Cheese and that was hittin, smack ur mama good! Drinks at BBQs are always good Service was just okay. Not bad, but nothing special and then I found out why... Gratuity was automatically added. I was kinda passed. How do you just add a tip to a table of two? Without any warning or notice. Love the drinks! I ordered the sticky ribs, Mac and cheese without the breadcrumb and bacon topping (not pictured) My friend ordered half of chicken. It came with bbq sauce but they poured a whole lot on it so we sent it back to the kitchen and requested they put the sauce on the side. Service was quick, it was pretty early. Let's be honest... Dallas BBQ is not the kind of restaurant that you are going to pull up to wearing your finest but you pull up because they are consistent! Their chicken wings are consistently XXL in size and fried perfectly. You can consistently taste all the liquor in your frozen cocktail especially if you opt for the Texas size with the extra shot! Given that, this location is similar to the others in Brooklyn with a few honorable mentions: (1) They have complimentary parking in the rear! (2) You can currently walk comfortably in heels on the floor because that thin layer of grease has quite set in yet. (3) It has a great layout with many TVs playing all the sports channels. (4) All their tables are leveled and clean high chairs are available. We walked in for lunch with our small party. Upon coming in, we saw a big group of seven people waiting to be seated to ear coming from Church. We all sat there for well over 20 mins, waiting for someone to help all of us. All the server's said they didn't know where the hostess was. I told the group that if no one came in 20 additional mins, I was going to put tables together and seat them. There were only 3 other parties seated as it was empty but had about four server's and and a bunch of about 4-5 other workers wandering around staring at all of us. Someone went back to the kitchen and said hey there is a huge line now, and people would like to be seated and eat."" It's really sad that no one wants to work anymore; it's a non working lazy people pandemic going on right now in North America. After about 30 mins, finally, a very young lady came to the booth and started to help the big group because they were there first. Next, someone from the to-go area signaled us & sat us to eat. We were seated in the almost empty restaurant. Instantly, a very nice and attentive server w/ a Jamaican flag tie cane over and took our order. I had questions about the menu that she cleared up for me after I explained to her I haven't been to a BBQs since middle school back in the early 90s. I wish I had remembered her name but she was excellent! I decided to go with the huge spicy Tamarindo Patron Margarita & Hennessey Wings with fries. Very fast out drinks came out, minutes later so did the food. The Hennessey Wings were good. Unfortunately, the fries were soggy and cold, but this WAS NOT THE FAULT of the server. This was definitely a kitchen issue, I didn't say anything because the service was great, and I didn't want her to feel bad because her kitchen was not doing a good job. On top of being soggy cold fries, they were poorly salted. Overall, the rest of the food, others git were good. The service from the really pretty nice lady with the Jamaica tie was amazing, even though she had to listen & deal with our friend trying his best that day, lol. We would definitely come back here. It brought back a lot of memories growing up in NYC, and I had a nice lunch with my mother and our friends. They just need to work on all the food coming put hot and fresh. This was my first time at this location as I'm now a resident of this area I will be frequently coming to this location. We had the fried garden vegetable tempura with Ranch Dressing (you gotta try it if you haven't and thank me later.) for drinks we had the Henny Coladas. The service was amazing as our server was one of my favorite servers from the downtown Brooklyn location. The location is huge with a very unique decor. This place is a throwback to my club days. When I saw this new location I figured. Let's give it a go. So the place just opened 6 months ago so everything is brand new. The staff were very inviting. Ask for Jacob he was very helpful with the menu. I decide to have to "EARLY BIRD SPECIAL."I decided to try the chili .. it was a bit too sweet for me . So first my chili came out my salad and soup. It may seem petty but if you had given me the option, I would have gotten the material bags from my car. I will go back and carry a bag into the restaurant because the food was good but I was definitely turned off because you needed a bag to carry over $100 worth of food. It seemed like they forced you to take the bag and charge you for the privilege of getting a bag. I should've known cleanliness was going to be an issue beforehand; our server coughed into his hand and then wiped his hand onto his shirt. Besides that, everything else was pretty fast and efficiently (which were the only good things about this location). I visited this location for the first time yesterday, the place is fairly new , big and appeared to be very clean. The food and drink was good, The waitress was polite, but ghosted for pretty much the entire time and I had to waive her down to just to ask for some fries. The host or manager who was walking around at first didn't communicate with customers like they normally do at other establishments by asking customers how is everything. After a while He was too concerned with following my waitress around on the other side of the restaurant to engage in conversation. After eating my food, I waited 20 minutes for my waitress to return so I could get a to go box and for the check and when she didn't I asked the guy who clean the tables to located her for me. She finally arrived, then brought me the box, bag and check stating cash tips are appreciated- I don't mind tipping and I tip well, but I gave her the minimum for her non-effort to check in . Some of these waiters and waitresses are under the assumption that they are supposed to be tipped just for taking your order. This location could be great if the employees like the waiters, waitresses, host and floor managers are more attentive towards its customers. Last night I decided to take my family to this new location. When I first walked in, I said to my Husband "This looks nice". We were seated within 5 minutes. The waitress seemed attentive but didn't introduce herself. We ordered Appetizers, my Lil'onion tower was burnt so I had to send it back. They gave me another one that was well prepared and tasted good. I'm confused on why my first order wasn't prepared in that way. My Husband and daughter ordered French fries. My daughter fries was prepared well but my husband's weren't they were soggy and not fried well. My husband decided not to complain about it. ‍ Our main courses had some issues as well, I decided to ask to speak to a manager. The manager came over with a chip on his shoulder from the start. I told him about our order being wrong, he took my plate away and came back with the right order. My husband didn't want a new burger so the manager offered to bring out the missing bacon. And my daughter sent back her Boneless wings because they were full of fried coating but hardly any chicken. So she ordered tenders instead and she was very pleased with that.
