Food is good. Waiter service is sooooo slowwwww. You can never find your serverl when you need something. Kitchen staff dropped off the plates and claimed he didn't speak English to bring us extra napkins. We would have ordered dessert or more drinks if the waiter Leonardo ever checked on us.

Not a fan of this Dallas BBQ. The vibe is off compared to the others locations. The lighting was bright, too bright for a BBQ. The seating was weird. I felt crowded and squeezed in, like there was very little privacy. I didn't understand the tvs just showing pics of their food. They were pointless and added to the brightness, Im Thinking maybe this used to be another restaurant The food: So I got the chicken/shrimp combo which is 3 wings and like 5-6 shrimp. My favorite Hennessey wings were good, but the texture was off compared to what I'm used to from BBQs. Note that sauced wings with a combo are $1extra (found that out via the bill) The shrimp were very good. Ordered a side of Mac 'N Cheese and that was hittin, smack ur mama good! Drinks at BBQs are always good Service was just okay. Not bad, but nothing special and then I found out why... Gratuity was automatically added. I was kinda passed. How do you just add a tip to a table of two? Without any warning or notice. Crazy part is I'm a great tipper and planned on giving our server more than what was on the receipt, but when I saw that I just didn't. This location definitely didn't give the Dallas BBQ experience that I'm accustomed to. I probably won't go back here...

Love the drinks! I ordered the sticky ribs, Mac and cheese without the breadcrumb and bacon topping (not pictured) My friend ordered half of chicken. It came with bbq sauce but they poured a whole lot on it so we sent it back to the kitchen and requested they put the sauce on the side. Service was quick, it was pretty early. They don't have a bar to sit at but it's huge in there and comfortable.

Let's be honest... Dallas BBQ is not the kind of restaurant that you are going to pull up to wearing your finest but you pull up because they are consistent! Their chicken wings are consistently XXL in size and fried perfectly. You can consistently taste all the liquor in your frozen cocktail especially if you opt for the Texas size with the extra shot! Given that, this location is similar to the others in Brooklyn with a few honorable mentions: (1) They have complimentary parking in the rear! (2) You can currently walk comfortably in heels on the floor because that thin layer of grease has quite set in yet. (3) It has a great layout with many TVs playing all the sports channels. (4) All their tables are leveled and clean high chairs are available. I'm not trying to convert any critics to fans but more so trying to fan (wave in) the locals to this location in particular while it is still new!

We walked in for lunch with our small party. Upon coming in, we saw a big group of seven people waiting to be seated to ear coming from Church. We all sat there for well over 20 mins, waiting for someone to help all of us. All the server's said they didn't know where the hostess was. I told the group that if no one came in 20 additional mins, I was going to put tables together and seat them. There were only 3 other parties seated as it was empty but had about four server's and and a bunch of about 4-5 other workers wandering around staring at all of us. Someone went back to the kitchen and said hey there is a huge line now, and people would like to be seated and eat."" It's really sad that no one wants to work anymore; it's a non working lazy people pandemic going on right now in North America. After about 30 mins, finally, a very young lady came to the booth and started to help the big group because they were there first. Next, someone from the to-go area signaled us & sat us to eat. We were seated in the almost empty restaurant. Instantly, a very nice and attentive server w/ a Jamaican flag tie cane over and took our order. I had questions about the menu that she cleared up for me after I explained to her I haven't been to a BBQs since middle school back in the early 90s. I wish I had remembered her name but she was excellent! I decided to go with the huge spicy Tamarindo Patron Margarita & Hennessey Wings with fries. Very fast out drinks came out, minutes later so did the food. The Hennessey Wings were good. Unfortunately, the fries were soggy and cold, but this WAS NOT THE FAULT of the server. This was definitely a kitchen issue, I didn't say anything because the service was great, and I didn't want her to feel bad because her kitchen was not doing a good job. On top of being soggy cold fries, they were poorly salted. Overall, the rest of the food, others git were good. The service from the really pretty nice lady with the Jamaica tie was amazing, even though she had to listen & deal with our friend trying his best that day, lol. We would definitely come back here. It brought back a lot of memories growing up in NYC, and I had a nice lunch with my mother and our friends. They just need to work on all the food coming put hot and fresh. The prices are reasonable for the times and drinks are great.

This was my first time at this location as I'm now a resident of this area I will be frequently coming to this location. We had the fried garden vegetable tempura with Ranch Dressing (you gotta try it if you haven't and thank me later.) for drinks we had the Henny Coladas. The service was amazing as our server was one of my favorite servers from the downtown Brooklyn location. The location is huge with a very unique decor. I hope they add more televisions throughout the location cause it would be ideal for games.

Ambiance was good, service was good, the food needs some improvement, I ordered a small turkey chili and it taste awful I replaced that order with a half chicken and the chicken was not good. It taste like all they did was rinse it and stick it in the rotisserie to cook, I had to send that back as well and just stuck with sticky wings, which was good.

It was a…read moreSaturday around 10 p.m., and finding an open place to eat at that hour was not easy, so this felt like a practical option on the way home. I live in New Jersey, and I knew that if I didn't eat somewhere near the airport, I was probably not going to eat at all that night. We ordered papa a la huancaína, a tamal, and leche de tigre, and the total came to about $48, which Its affordable by the area standards. Peruvian food is not necessarily cheap, so my issue was not mainly the price. My issue was the quality and the care behind the food. Its important to note here I am Peruvian, so I say this with real knowledge of the cuisine and with disappointment, not malice. The papa a la huancaína came with about four or five potato pieces, half an egg, one lettuce leaf, and no olive. Quantity-wise, the potatoes were fine, but the sauce told the whole story. It barely tasted like ají amarillo, and the flavor felt muted and commercial, like it was made more for cost control than for enjoyment. Huancaína sauce should have character, richness, and that unmistakable Peruvian flavor. This one felt flat. The tamal was decent in flavor, so I will give credit there, but it had only one slice of pork, no egg, and very little ají. It was a good size, but still did not feel worth the price. Again, it felt like the ingredients were being stretched too far. The most disappointing item was the leche de tigre. This is a dish that deserves much more respect because for many people, ceviche and related dishes are among the most recognized parts of Peruvian cuisine. This preparation did not feel delicate or authentic. It tasted like corners were cut. As someone who knows Peruvian food and has worked in restaurants before, I understand that using enough lime to properly prepare fish is expensive in the U.S. But that is exactly the point: if you are going to serve this dish, then do it right. If not, don't present it as something special. $21 for this? Honestly, I felt CHEATED. What frustrated me most is that this restaurant clearly has potential. The decor is nice, ready for selfies and Instagram pictures; you can tell effort was put into the presentation of the space. But to me, it felt like more attention went into ambiance than into the food itself. My impression was that the restaurant is aimed more at people who are not very familiar with Peruvian food and may accept a more mediocre version of it. For someone who truly knows and loves Peruvian cuisine, this was disappointing. I've had much better Peruvian food in less polished places in New Jersey, especially in Paterson. The decor at Mixtura may be prettier, but the food I had there was, at best, low-end mediocre. I ate it because I was hungry and it was late, and I appreciate that they were open when I needed a meal. But I would not go back, even in the same situation again. If you are Peruvian or very familiar with authentic Peruvian food, this may not be the place for you. If you are simply craving something nearby and are not especially focused on authenticity or quality, then maybe it will work for you. But for me, this is a one-time visit only. Sorry, its a NO-GO for a second visit.
