If you want to grab cookies fast this is the place for you. They have a variety of cookies they have already fresh that you don't have to wait for baking. The only thing you have to get at least a pack of 3/6... no singles. The guy that was helping us was really nice and friendly. He was good at explaining what was each cookie. Overall good experience ... check it out.
A Richmond staple! I've been coming ever since they were in the sketchy back alley. My favorites are the cookies & cream and snickerdoodle. As some of the other reviews note, the snickerdoodle is often gooey in the middle. Maybe I'm just used to it but I love it! They also have dairy milks, almond milk, and soy milk available.
Best DoorDash experience and great cookies! I love using DoorDash to experience food from the area I am in if I can not leave due to no car or something along those lines. We were visiting friends in Richmond and I was hoping to find something for dessert to share with others. I came across Red Eye Cookie. I ordered through DoorDash with no issues. It was delivered promptly and they were still slightly warm so chocolate chips were still soft and ooey gooey! The cookies were a large medium.... Is that even a size? Ha! Well I made it up and I am sure you get what I am saying. But, what is important is that they were scrumptious!!! They are definitely worth it. My favorite was the Oreo one and the peanut butter one... ok the chocolate chip was good too. The red velvet has coffee in it, made it unique for sure. They were packaged well too.
I discovered Red Eye Cookie through a quick Yelp search for dessert after having drinks down the street at Barcode. I must say, the cookies here give me life; they're much better than Insomnia. They were so good I had to go here twice during my July 4th weekend trip to Richmond. In addition to traditional cookie flavors like chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, peanut butter, and oatmeal raisin, this place also offers unique flavors like cookies & cream, maple apple walnut, and their namesake red eye (red velvet & espresso flavor.) While all their flavors are bussin', I must say that the cookies n cream were my favorite. For those of you who may not be familiar, you're only allowed to order up to a half dozen when you walk in, and any cookies beyond that you have to wait about 20 minutes for, so take advantage of their online ordering if you want to order more than six. I honestly would've waited for more cookies, but I had to get on the highway to beat that infamous I-64 traffic. Shoutout to the owner, Brayden, who let me get two additional free cookies in addition to the half dozen I bought (one for being posted on their story and another for signing up for their rewards program.) All the friends I was able to share the cookies I bought with down in Hampton Roads loved them as well. I will definetly be doing an order for a dozen to take home the next time I'm up in Richmond.
Stopped by on a whim. The cookies were excellent. My only dislike is peanut butter cookies are my favorite and they had none. I guess they are others favorites too. They were super helpful and friendly. The cookies and cream were just okay but the oatmeal raisin were OUTSTANDING as were the chocolate chip. My daughter ate the red eye and said it was okay. So I give them five stars....love them!

I ordered two separate orders going to the same city, but different address. These were gifts however only one order arrived. I have contacted them twice about the other order and they've left all my messages on read. I basically paid $60 for six cookies. Another note, all six cookies were broken upon arrival (pro: they were very soft). However, I bet it's because they shipped the cookies in a shipping container FOUR TIMES the size of the box containing the cookies. [Attached photo for reference]. Pretty unboxing experience? Sure. Sustainable and provides protection for the cookies? No. Review of the cookies that were received, ranked from best to not-so-good [according to my sister]: Chocolate Chip: Her favorite - Has that home-made taste. The only cookie she would repurchase. Cookies & Cream (+$0.48): Interesting mix of toppings within the cookie. Snickerdoodle: Good but bland. White Chocolate Macadamia (+$0.48): Ok. Maple Apple Walnut (V) (+$0.48): The apples are super tasty and don't taste artificial! Maybe too many apples though. Red Eye Cookie: Extremely bitter, but then again she doesn't like red eyes. After purchasing these cookies, you get no visibility on the order or even confirmation that your order has been shipped. I placed the orders Monday night (Sep. 2) and one of the orders was received the same week on Friday night (Sep. 6), so I appreciate receiving that order in such a timely manner! Hot and ready cookies!!! Chocolate chip, snickerdoodle and Red Eye .... Mmmm. Didn't mean to stop but why not!!
It's 100% worth it!!! So good! It's balanced in terms of flavor. The cinnamon and sugar have a good ratio. It's not too sweet nor too spicy. The texture (I microwaved it after freezing it because I saved it) was fluffy yet chewy- the way I love my cookies whenever I'm craving carbs. The flavor and texture were just overall amazing and the cookie made me satisfied. I didn't feel too full or guilty after eating it but I was happy with my decision. It was enough to satisfy my midnight cravings and screamed high quality.
Red Eye is an affliction I suffer from when hanging out with boys, especially multiple boys at once, usually on late nights and weekends. But anyway. This business reminds me a lot of Insomnia Cookies, on almost every level, and it basically is a late night cookie spot where they will make you hot fresh gooey cookies. I like it a lot. And it's not as much of a national corporate chain as Insomnia so it has that advantage as well. They are dirt cheap and the service is nice. Right in the middle of the college area, so that's the clientele. They filmed the Nic Cage movie "Red Eye" in here. Or was it "Red Rock West." Does it matter.

Really really good! Warm and gooey. Service was kind and very friendly. They had a deal going on. I got 4 for the price of 3. The chocolate chip and the cookies and cream were okay. The snickerdoodle and the red eye were GREAT. It's a small spot. No seating from what I can see. A grab and go shop. But it's local and they don't skimp on packaging. I got a box for my 4 cookies. Great for safe transport. read more

This used to be one of my favorite places to go to satisfy my sweet tooth - sometimes visiting multiple times per week. Despite their 3 cookie minimum and sometimes having to pop the cookies in the oven to cook a little bit more, I still really really liked this place. The cookies were pretty consistently warm and soft. Unfortunately, due to poor service, I won't be back. We went one night after dinner (December) and the cookies were cold and hard and crunchy - which was a first. I immediately went back in and asked for the cookies to be replaced and was told that they'd turned the main warmers off and were only using the countertop one, so all the cookies would be that way. I asked for a refund and the cashier said they didn't have the permissions to do that. Eventually, she got on the phone with who I assume to be a manager and relayed to me that I should go online and fill out the contact form. I did it immediately and literally heard nothing back for a month. I tried to be patient, but in January, I called concerning my refund and was just told matter-of-factly and repeatedly, "There's nothing I can do. There's nothing I can do." In February, I re-did the contact form and received a standard template e-mail reply from the owner, offering no solution. After that one e-mail, he never replied again. I followed up three weeks in a row and was ignored. Eventually, the owner texted me saying he normally doesn't do refunds based on preference but he'd replace the cookies as a one time courtesy... Uhh, you are NOT doing me a favor by giving me the product I literally paid you for! After, I replied with a date/time, he never replied or even thumbs upped to confirm he'd read, so at that point, I officially let the situation go. Yes, it's "only $12", but to pay a business and leave empty handed because the product is piss poor quality is absolutely not right. And for them to think you're just supposed to be okay with it, when is also not right. Sometimes I still crave their cookies, but I won't patronize a business with such poor customer service. read more

Stopped by to give this place a try, well because why the hell not and who doesn't love cookies?! The staff was extremely friendly and gave a great description of each cookie. The cookies were the perfect texture (gooey and soft) and for it being so late at night, the cookies were fresh and piping hot in the box. Loved the overall menu and texture. My only suggestion is to add more flavor to the snickerdoodle (one of my fav flavs) it was leaning more towards a standard sugar cookie. I'll be back! read more

It's a small little cookie store in the heart of VCU downtown Richmond. You have to pay the meters for your parking. Surprisingly I came before the student rush and busy time. I got a parking directly in front of the store. I came to bring some goodies home to give friends and family. This place is known in Richmond for delivering cookies during our craving hours! Typically, anytime after hours when we don't feel like driving.."Redeye cookies" come out to deliver satisfaction to our sweet tooth craving addictions. Many college student and Richmond locals order these cookies at the comfort of knowing they can have their gooey delicious cookies delivered to them in the late hours of the night when u don't feel like driving anywhere. This is every pregnant women's dream! This would be a dream and disaster to have it was located closely to my house. The interior of the tiny bakery was small, it was not pretty but they had a very minimal seating area for the wait. The menu is a good selection and the cost for the cookie is about normal, with just an extra $1 more for the premium flavored cookes for $3 and the classic cookie for $2. Luckily, the yelp app had a promotion of buying 2 cookies and u get one free. I went for half a dozen and I got an extra courtesy to yelp equaling 7 cookies. I had to be greedy and eat two cookies. The red eye and the cookies and cream! They were sweet, warm and gooey. Milk is a necessity for dunking. The cookies were awesome. Was it to die for? I guess late at night when it's necessary. I think i had a early sugar rush to the brain. Are they the best cookie in the world? Meh, still have to find it. Next time i'll avoid driving and try their delivery when I stay the night in Richmond again.. next time to avoid paying the parking meter. read more

these cookies are the best i've tasted in a while. the only cookies I eat are homemade from Caroline's cookies in Louisiana. these are ALMOST as good as Caroline's. they are flavorful, warm, chunky, and soft!!! not TOO much sweetness, just the right amount. i will choose this over Insomnia/Crumbl cookies ANY day !!!! read more

Went there for the first time. Drove 40 minutes. Was trying to look through the menu to understand the ingredients of each cookie since I might be allergic. Was answered sarcastically and rudely from the cashier. Finally ordered a dozen mixed. Unfortunately I got about 6 cookies that was burnt, hard and tasteless cookies(chocolate chip, oatmeal and snickerdoodle) We went there early thinking that it would be fresh. Definitely not coming back. For the amount of money we could have got better cookies and customer service. read more

Have you and your significant other have late night cravings!? Well yesterday my girlfriend and I did... she was in the mood for cookies. At first she wanted insomnia cookies so we went and it was closed ( which I believe was a sign). I suggested red eye which was across the street. This cookie place is in the perfect spot on campus next to a convenient store and around the corner from many food places. We ended up getting the White macadamia , Oatmeal raisin and classic Chocolate chip. When you take out the cookie from the sleeve it starts to fall apart not like your life but like a warm piece of heaven you are grabbing. My personal favorite was the Macadamia nuts , it had lots of wonderful flavors and we added ice cream on top *Forget about it ). The Oatmeal raisin was hitting ( but was missing a slight more cinnamon). The OG chocolate chip was delicious as well. Service was fast and the young lady up front was helpful in helping pic our cookies. read more
3 words... "best vegan cookie" omg... maple apple walnut...so incredibly good. The perfect combination of moist deliciousness..and the bonus.. its vegan! I wish they had more vegan options because if there were I'd make it a point to go more often. I love freshly made soft cookies, and this one was one of the best! read more

Stopped here for a snack after drinks. In full disclosure, I'm an Insomnia girl. We got the quick dozen and I liked them all, except the chocolate chip. I was surprised to like the red velvet (Red eye), as I don't ever like that flavor. The oatmeal raisin was a win for me. The snickerdoodle was a bit plain. The maple apple walnut was incredibly sweet, and the white chocolate macadamia was great. read more
This is my favorite place to get warm & fresh cookies! They always have the right amount of crunch on the outside and are perfectly baked to be soft & chewy on the inside. They're not overly greasy at all which is a huge plus, and the staff is always welcoming and friendly. My favorite is their seasonal mint chocolate chip which consists of just the perfect balance of mint and chocolate. Definitely recommend. read more
Great little spot in Richmond next to VCU. With an Insomnia Cookies across the street I normally wouldn't try something new but I'm glad I did. These cookies were very and not bad the next day either. Our favorite was the cookies and cream but my wife really like the Red Velvet, if you like coffee taste. I really like the PB and Choc Chips ones also. They bake them when you order not just reheat so they are very fresh. The guys working were very friendly also. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I just had two nights of Levaine's Cookies in NYC and DC and that's sets a high bar. read more
