We visited Red Crab on a Thursday evening on a whim. We arrived around 7:30 and we were seated right away in the back room. We sat for a bit reviewing the menu which was kind of confusing to understand. We decided to get to boils one with shrimp, sausage and snow crabs with the house blend. The other had shrimp, snow crabs and boiled eggs in the house blend We were offered a complimentary appetizer so we went with hush puppies. I ordered a Chardonnay and vodka soda. It took awhile to get our drinks and the appetizer came out with the food. The crab boil came with the full setup (bucket, gloves, and bibs) and paper covered table. The flavors were bursting and the house blend was delightful, the shrimp were large and the boil came with 2 potatoes and a small ear of corn. We had to ask few times for the cracker for our snow crabs. The food was plentiful and I couldn't finish it all. The restaurant was large with a front bar and they played hip hop and r&b music which made it a vibe. I would return again and hope the service is a little faster and we get everything we need in time for our meal. Definitely check Red Crab out if you're ever nearby.
Discovered this gem tucked into a shopping center in Laurel. It's huge inside with a back room that includes a secondary bar. The menu is unbelievably eclectic from Seafood boils to Philly cheese steaks and fried rice to french fries. I came for the seafood and was not disappointed. Started out with some incredible hushpuppies that included whole pieces of corn and a spicy sauce to dip them in. Also had to try their wings as there were many rave reviews on Yelp about them. Excellent- crispy and meaty with your choice of seasoning. For the seafood boil: Step 1-pick your seafood- I had headless shrimp that were quite large and Snow Crablegs Step 2- choose your seasoning- I had Cajun garlic butter Step 3- choose your level of spice Additionally, your boil bag comes with potatoes and corn on the cob. Just imagine both of these submerged in tangy Cajun garlic butter. The garlic was so plentiful that you could see mounds of it. Don't want to get messy? They give you plastic gloves to use when you dive into the food, but then you loose all the fun of licking your fingers! Really enjoyed my meal. Come on a Wednesday night for Karaoke and discounts on your food if you sing for your supper. Only negative- they should give everyone who orders crab the utensils to crack and pull the meat out. Having only a plastic fork just doesn't do the trick and leads to wasted food.

The ambiance was catered to the younger crowd with rap music in background. The bathroom weren't clean and the urinals smelled horrible. I ordered the shrimp po boy and it was basically a bread sandwich. The shrimps weren't bad, too small and just not enough to taste on the sandwich. My family ordered the seafood boil and they enjoyed their food. I don't plan on going back anytime soon.
Loved how spacious the place was. A great place to bring a big group. The service was tremendous as well! Our server took such good care of us. Refills were flowing and all of our needs taken care of before asking. We all got a boil and for $50, we got a ton of food. Everyone had left overs. The crab boil was delicious but I wish I got a higher spice level. I couldn't taste the heat at all at medium heat level. The calamari appetizer was great along with the mozzarella sticks. Can't wait to go back!
Philly cheesesteak was packed with flavor only downside was the portion. I paid for extra steak and if this is what you call extra I can only imagine what the regular portion looks like. The catfish was seasoned to perfection no complaints at all there. The sweet potato fries were good I just wish they were fried a little harder. Lastly their prices can't be beat! Highly recommend
Most people go here for the seafood bags. We had crab legs and a ton of giant shrimp with potatoes and corn in a butter garlic sauce. Were given a choice of appertizers for free. We chose hush puppies. Excellent. Mixed drinks were 8 dollars and very strong. They also serve Chinese rice and hoagies. No salads or vegetables. Lots of leftovers. Old bay wings were good as well.
Visited Oct 2025 and although the bartender who was also our waiter was considerate and helpful, we were vert very displeased with our troublesome food. Unfortunately, I could only eat one of the oysters in the shell platter that I purchased due to the suspicious taste that made me question the freshness of the seafood, so I asked for a refund. To the credit of management, the refund was given -no questions asked - and our waiter removed a full platter of "risky" oysters-in-the half-shell from our table. They looked much better than they tasted. The corn on the cob was very drab tasting, and the mussels even more so sad to say. I left 90% of my meal on the table. My cousin enjoyed her plate of fried shrimp and rice, that is until the very next 2-3 days during which only a dose of probiotics could ease her gastric pain and tummy distress. It seems the outdated look of the interior of this restaurant reflects the state of its seafood dishes. Very drab interior which at first glance made me want to back out slowly but I sat down and ordered bc I was due to report shortly afterwards to an appointment and needed to eat prior to going. Big mistake! This spot must get much better food suppliers bc the seafood served in my opinion tastes subpar which begs the question of its edibility for diners like me who have sensitive pallets and vulnerable stomachs. THREE thumbs down and one fork, one spoon, and one knife down as well.

This place is very unassuming but I can't express enough how good the food is. I highly recommend the friend shrimp but all of the food here is tasty.
My cousin recommended I try this spot while visiting her in Maryland. So said so done. It's a cool chill spot to dine in. My family and I all ordered shrimp, snow crab legs, lobster tail, green mussels, potato's and corn on the cob in garlic butter or there spicy sauce which all tasted so so good. I was the only one who was able to eat all my food and probably still had room for more lol. Everything was delicious and I do recommend. I'll definitely give them another visit when I'm back in town. Cheers
Red Crab was a vibe! Great location and amazing staff. Big shoutout to the bartender. She kept my Hennessy with a lime coming. The hot honey wings were a work of art. Idk how they mixed them two flavors but it was perfect. The lemon pepper wangs (yes I spelled it like that) were the best I've ever had. All of this is affordable too. I will be back Wednesday for karaoke and .99 cent drinks #EatGoodAndBeHappy
On 26 June 2026, Red Crab House was the spot for a delicious seafood meal after along work week. When I got there the music was on point and I was greeted warmly. I ordered one of the seafood broil options that included a half pound of crab legs, headless shrimp, sausage, corn on the cob, and potatoes in the house spice blend medium. They usually have a DJ on Friday evenings in the back lounge with food and drink discounts, but unfortunately he/she didn't show up. At any rate the vibe was inviting and relaxed and the food was good. Took my brother to Red Crab House for some Maryland seafood and I'm honestly mad I didn't try this place sooner, it's only 5 minutes away . Cozy, neighborhood friendly vibe and feels like a great happy hour spot after work. I'm allergic to shellfish and made them aware, ordered the fried fish basket with no issues at all, appreciate the kind waitress! which alone makes me want to return. My brother got a seafood boil and really enjoyed it (he gives it an 8.5... docking points for the paper straws ). Welcome to Maryland! Looking forward to going back and trying more! read more

My cousin recommended I try this spot while visiting her in Maryland. So said so done. It's a cool chill spot to dine in. My family and I all ordered shrimp, snow crab legs, lobster tail, green mussels, potato's and corn on the cob in garlic butter or there spicy sauce which all tasted so so good. I was the only one who was able to eat all my food and probably still had room for more lol. Everything was delicious and I do recommend. Met up with a friend who lives nearby on a random day. It wasn't crowded, but it was definitely happy hour! On top of their already existing specials, they have daily evenings of delight, such as Margarita Mondays, Beer Tuesdays, and a free drink if you sing for karaoke on Wednesdays (SAY LESS!). There's plenty of seating inside... I wonder if it ever gets full? My friend and I sat next to a window, and started looking at the menu. They had hush puppies -- who doesn't love those?! We got an order and decided to get some margaritas too. Strong drinks, flavorful hush puppies... so far so good! I also decided to get the Red Crab House wings... which are their chicken wings with the seasoning they use for their famous seafood boils. I WAS NOT READY!!! They came in a giant air-filled plastic bag just like the seafood boils, and... they were... so delicious!! Those flavors were really hitting! I had to run to the bathroom at one point during our time there, and I saw a whole other section of seating plus a whole other bar. The place really IS huge! I remember when it was Red Sky a long long time ago... I went for brunch. I guess I forgot the size. Anyways, I will definitely be back... especially for karaoke, though I currently can't do it because I have dodgeball on Wednesdays. Wait until it's over! I can't wait to return! read more

I really give this a 3.5 star. Food was very good and the restaurant was very clean. It's a little pricier that other similar establishments I've been to, and unfortunately the service was very inattentive. They Never came by for a refill of drinks or checked in unless we flagged them , but they were friendly. Somehow they only had one crab claw cracker left when it was requested (place was nearly empty so it was a bit odd!) We will probably return when in the area again for the tasty food , and hope service is a bit better next time. read more

The former Red Sky! It literally looks the same! Stopped by for happy hour yesterday. It was a "Maniac Monday" and I needed a drink! I must warn y'all, these drinks are strong. One is enough! If you do two, get a designated driver! I'm serious! The happy hour specials are good. Monday through Saturday, 3 - 7 p.m. and all day Sunday! Woot!! The green tea, which has Jameson, is really good! At $6.50 totally worth it. I tried the wings with the house seasoning. Not bad and again, great price! Thanks Brittany for the great service! I'll be back! read more

The food is always bomb when I come here. I even DoorDash from here and the prices are affordable because seafood is expensive in Maryland. The Service was great he was the life of the party huntyyyy it's like a party in there at night. During the day it's relaxed but if you want a turn up vibe while sitting down definitely go at night! Large screen TVs and poppin hip hop music. Definitely a good little vibe in Laurel. read more
I typically like this place, but recently it's lost its spark. We always get the chicken tender basket, but it's actually quite bland. The batter tastes like the other seafood they fry (i.e. shrimp). It's also just incredibly oily and I feel like my throat is swimming in oil once I finish eating. Recently I found literallt 3 hairs in my food and an extra one in my sauce. Their honey mustard sauce is surpisingly good. I got their shrimp boil before and it was actually decent. I would say it's better than the chicken basket. Be wary, sometimes this place gets LOUD at night. If you're looking for a quiet dinner, definitely just order in. read more

My favorite crab boil place in the area. Recently I went with hubby but wasn't in the mood for seafood. Got fries wings and a cheesesteak. Surprisingly amazing. Wednesday is karaoke night btw so it was a tad loud but def a good time. As always I will be back soon read more

Definitely good for the food! We ended up here on a Wednesday which is Karaoke night and that was pretty intense because we didn't expect it at all. There's a whole club vibe going on ins the back space. Service was as god as it could be I suppose due to the menu (if you get what I'm saying). This place would be good on a more mellow night with friends or an outing with family. I had the Philly cheesesteak and wings. The sandwichwas really good but the wings could have definitely used more seasoning to be Cajun. The youngest had whiting and fries he thoroughly enjoyed! And the oldest has the Buffalo chicken Po-Boy, of which I heard no complaints about. All the food was at a good temperature and the order was accurate. read more
1,000% of what I needed. Damn, that was good. No one ever called me a magician before, but I made some food disappear at Red Crab House. One of the staff came over a few times, made eye contact, and was in general making sure I was enjoying the food. As I was leaving he said, "see you next time you're in town." When I tell you that this place is all that you need to make your day that much better...I mean the food is always HOT, FRESH & packed with flavor...the service & customer service is always on point and they make sure that you're good in all ways possible...the ambiance is FIRE...the music is something that you can and will tap your foot to, and before you know it you'll be singing and you might hit a whole dance move and the staff will hype you up.
